The Change....
in life something comes up
unacceptable
we are like horses
needing more rending
soon we give up the
struggle
we stop kicking and
punching
we lay peacefully
saying yes to everything
a frog wonders and croaks
we are not affected anymore
we are ponds now
as peaceful as a leaf floating
as soft as rain falling on the water
making ripples without sound

Walking The Frog
I have a pet frog
We go frog walking every day at 6pm
He is fine until he sees another frog
He sniffs & then tries to jump
I pull him away
Last week we had a problem
My frog stopped to do his business
A passer bye said stop your frog fouling
I cleared up after him but it left a slimy mark
The other man slipped on it
My frog likes water
Especially ponds
He likes jumping on lilies
The local gardener is mad
Control your frog he shouts
Well now Im in trouble
Despite the sign
Beware of the FROG
He bit a policeman
A fine guard frog
My frog is now banned
From walks anywhere
Poor froggy is in a cell
Eating flies & drinking water
Its a frogs life

When The Rain Stopped Falling
there is this heavy rain
falling on top of your roof and it is so disturbing
that you wake up
and lock your windows
to shut yourself away from the sounds
of falling
but you cannot help worrying even when you cannot
literally hear the sound of the falling rain
you still imagine how they fall inside your mind
as though you can hear every syllable that every neddle of rain
is pricking in your brain
your ears
and your eyes still have the image of these
series of fallings
that even if the rain finally stopped
and you open your window to check
in the middle of this time
when morning cracks fromt the shutters of your windows
you still think like crazy
you hear the sound of the wind and it is like the sound of the falling
rain
and even if the wind has left like a leaf flown to the eastern side
of your house
even if there is no shadow of the leaf anymore
you hear your heart falling from your chest
now you must accept
leaving.
now you must accept the pain.
do not deny it.
it is you that is falling out
from the grace of her love.
it is you.
cry it out!
shout it!
it is you.!
it is you!
it is not the rain, it is not the wind, it is not the leaf that was blown away
towards the eastern part of the house.it is not the design of the house.
it is not the purple curtains. it is not the lonely courtyard
it is not the red bowl. it is not the tower.
it is not the blank sheets of paper.
it is not the bell.
it is not the winding stairs.
it is not the dirty garage.
it is not the scaffold.
it is not the white paint.
it is not the doorbell.
it is not the turbulence of the plane.
it is not the slap of the hand.
it is not the blue fan.
it is not the cellophance floating in the air and whirling in that corner
a dead-end.
it is you! and that is the truth!
be calm now. wipe the tears.
try sleep and dream.

The Poison Frog
The poison frog looks at sky
He croaks in joyous sound;
The storm gathers
The rain gathers
The typhoon adds additional
Clouds at brim
The poison frog looks at sky
He laughs and asks;
Where will amphibians
With no houses
And many toads
Go for shelter?
I, the poison frog, the rough,
The hairy and the stingy
Shall the toad of anyone
Touch me in my house
I shall poison it, it, it, it
It, it..............................
......the poison frog sings

Read This Aloud
i am beautiful
i am not alone
i am self-sufficient
i am kind
i am happy
i am peaceful
i am living in the grace of God
i am human
i have erred &
i am forgiven
i am exuding happiness
i am a ray of hope
i am the sun of warmth
i am the rain of satisfaction
i fall upon the grass
i give life to the earth
i am like a bird singing on a twig
i am a song in the air
i am a lotus sitting on a pond of water
i am a river flowing peacefully on the banks of the Nile
i am the child of the universe
i am a star
i am a tree
i am a leaf
i am a rose
i am a sailboat sailing peacefully at sea
i am everything that i can be
i am a wish
i come true
i am the happy child of God
i am loved
i know how to love
i love
i am smiling
my eyes speak
my mouth waters
to the sweetness of this world
i am everything
i am this universe within me.
i believe.

The Ripple Of That Last Leaf....
like the leaves falling from the trees
yellowed and light
blown by the wind to the ponds
like a last sigh
from the muteness of its capillaries
this last leaf
as it lands on the pond
shall make the ripples
in your calm
atmosphere....

Daughter Wrote
The flowers in the tree
are blooming so eyes can see.
The ripples on the water
get smaller and smaller
As the duck flutters
passed the daughter.
As the frog croaks,
the daughter strokes
In a little row boat
as the daughter wrote.

Rain
Gray clouds rollin'over my head
I can see a storm in the sky
All night long you're tossin' in bed
All night long I'm outa my head it's
Rain
Fallin' down from the sky
Kissin' my love goodbye
Rain fallin'down
I can't take the
Rain
Washin' my love away
I'm cryin' for yesterday
Rain fallin' down
Gray clouds rollin' over my head
I can see a storm in the sky
Don't know where this lovin' has led
Why can't there be sun instead of
Rain
Fallin'down from the sky
Kissin' my love goodbye
Rain fallin'down
I can't take the
Rain
Washin'my love away
I'm cryin for yesterday
Rain fallin' down
Darlin you got to stop the rain
Only you can stop the rain
Only you can do it
Darlin you got to stop the rain
Only you can stop the rain
Only you can stop it
Everything is falling apart
And I don't think I can stand the rain anymore
No' no more , no more rain
No more rain
Stop the rain, stop the rain from falling down
I've got to stop the rain from falling down
You and me babe
What we had was good
Oh I knew we could have made it
I can't take this rain
Falling down from the sky
Kissing my love goodbye
Rain fallin down
Someone stop the rain
Washing my love away
Crying for yesterday
Rain falling down
Women you got to stop the rain
Only you can stop the rain
Only you can do it
Darlin you got to stop the rain
Only you can stop this rain
Only you can do it

Only you can stop the rain
Only you can help me

Soft Clear Rain
Soft clear rain is falling
All over our fair town
Soft clear rain is falling
Washing the mean streets down
Soft clear rain is falling
Soaking into the concert drive
Soft clear rain is falling
Keeping things alive
Soft clear rain is falling

The Moon And The Frog
the frog had some regrets
marrying the moon
that forever in its life
as frog
the moon it can never swallow
tonight they will talk
under the shadow
of its majestic light
the frog
croaks about
this final resolve
this separation
for good
let the croaking begin

Rain-Stuck
rain within
takes me away from me
from the rain outside
throughout the day night
its falling hard
no trace of any map anywhere
no boundary line
no other objects
as far my eyes run
rain rain and falling water
with a ceaseless passion
can't close the eyes
can't sleep
can't think to write
a successful rain-poem
alone moving on the surface
as a rain-legend myself
no where dry anymore
nothing wants to be dried
but alone
and rain within

I Like The Flow Of Language That Is So Natural
like falling rain
hitting a yam leaf,
round drops sliding
to the tendrils
of a vine
like water leaking
from a roof
saved by
a tin can
(remember poor
Basho's poem
while he was trying
to sleep
on a rainy day)
like the sound of lips making a kiss
of the ten fingers of the hands sliding
on thighs
down to the most sensitive
part of the human body
the vulva &
the glans
in mutuality of
accepting the rule
of desire
making the most out
of the last remaining
moments of
love.

Frog 1 and Frog 2
Frog 2
Hey, how’s that in the water?
I saw you dive in
and the water spread out a little;
you disappeared a while
and now I see you translucent
but you seem happy
as carefree
as when we were tadpoles;
tell me how it is…
Frog 1
You silly frog;
all the description
and text I can give you
all words and expositions will not suffice:
just jump in and see for yourself

The Sound Of The Rain
do not mislead me with the
point-of-view of the frog
you croak and you say this
is how something beautiful
sounds, how ugliness feigns
i tell you i like the rain and
the frog likes it too, i am
one of those frogs bathing
and jumping on the pond,
but do not mislead me with
your sound, it does not sound
like the hush of the wind,
it has no color of the moon,
i am one of the frogs of this
pond, but i do not wish to
sound like you: i am in love
with the sound of the rain,
and this is the one that makes
me stay. It is not you, your
sound is not gentle, it is
rough like the skin of the
teething toad. I love the
rain, the way it sounds,
and that is enough
for my suffering.
Dripping.

Frog
Every frog must croak
That is no joke
Agile is the lowly frog
Eating insects, leaving bugs, mosquitoes agog
They live in water, slime, gook
Ugly, ugly face of a spook
Green, gray or brown, they populate the ground
Frog legs are sold and eaten by the pound
Jump, glide around, sit still
Croak often, loud and shrill
Water is the key to their life
They procreate, sleep, avoid danger, strife
Little or big they struggle to survive
Even a frog is happy to be alive
Some become road kill
Or a snake's belly they fill
They have lived, they have died
Some rot, some are fried
Dissected in the lab by a sharp knife
Warts and all, a vital link in the chain of life

Rain,rain
Why am I here if youre there
So far away its not fair
To be without you like this
I miss you more than you know
The nights are long
The days slow
Without the warmth of your kiss
Wish you were back here with me
Cause out my window
All is see is
Rain , rain in the sky
Everywhere I look my eyes see
Rain , rain fallin down
Crying as it hits the ground
Rain , rain in my heart
Every day that were apart
Rain , rain
Falling rain , rain
Rain , rain
Only rain , rain
The sun is strong when youre near
But when youre gone it disappears
Behind an ocean of blue
The telephones not good enough
It cant reach out it cant touch
Me like the way you do
Wish you would knock at my door
Cause only you can stop the pouring
Rain , rain in the sky
Everywhere I look my eyes see
Rain , rain fallin down
Crying as it hits the ground
Rain , rain in my heart
Every day that were apart
Rain , rain
Falling rain , rain
Rain , rain
Only rain , rain
Maybe ill go outside
And walk beneath the clouds
Pretend its you thats watching over me
This isnt the only thing that comes
Between us now
Baby soon well be together
Oooo
( everywhere I look I see rain )
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Everywhere I look I see rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( rain , rain in the sky )
( everywhere I look my eyes see rain )
Rain
( rain falling down )
Down
( crying as it hits the ground )
Dont , dont let it hit the ground
( rain , rain in my heart everyday that were apart )
( rain , rain )
Rain
( falling rain, rain )
Rain
( rain, rain )
Everywhere I look I see rain
Everywhere I look I see rain
But I dont see you
Youre not near me
I need you ooo
Rain
Itll never be the same
If you dont stop the rain

Water Lilies
Where the water-lilies go
To and fro,
Rocking in the ripples of the water,
Lazy on a leaf lies the Lake King's daugher,
And the faint winds shake her.
Who will come and take her?
I will! I will!
Keep still! Keep still!
Sleeping on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter. . . .
Then the wind comes skipping
To the lilies on the water;
And the kind winds wake her.
Now who will take her?
With a laugh she is slipping
Through the lilies on the water.
Wait! Wait!
Too late, too late!
Only the water-lilies go
To and fro,
Dipping, dipping,
To the ripples of the water.

Phileas the Frog
Phileas the frog was awfully large -
To see the muscle in his thighs -
A sight bedazzling to your eyes!
With plenty there to feed a town -
If you would dare to take him down!
Phileas the frog could tow a barge.
One hefty bound could clear a tree -
A scary sight I'll guarantee!
And something else to make me dread:
Were he to land upon my head!
Phileas the frog was known as 'Sarge -'
Accounted by that massive chest.
No other frog would care to jest
That tidy Phileas!
So if you've sense and know your place -
And hold some value to your face,
Then don't get supercilious
With Phileas!

A Silly Song
'O HEART, my heart!' she said, and heard
His mate the blackbird calling,
While through the sheen of the garden green
May rain was softly falling,--
Aye softly, softly falling.
The buttercups across the field
Made sunshine rifts of splendor:
The round snow-bud of the thorn in the wood
Peeped through its leefage tender,
As the rain came softly falling.
'O heart, my heart!' she said and smiled,
'There's not a tree of the valley,
Or a leaf I wis which the rain's soft kiss
Freshens in yonder alley,
Where the drops keep ever falling,--
'There's not a foolish flower i' the grass,
Or bird through the woodland calling,
So glad again of the coming of rain
As I of these tears now falling,--
These happy tears down falling.'

Teardrops of Rain
The rain outside is falling steadily but slowly
I look at each leaf seeing a tear dropp slide down
Each branch of this bush carries it's own burden
Some stand at attention feeling alive and excited feeling refreshed
While others droop in sadness as each tear dropp hits it
As the rain hits the leaves the rain drops stay resting on each petal
How will I shake this so the tears fall away leaving only happiness
As I stand outside there is a calm that comes over me
I hear the pain of the rain drops hitting the ground
Puddles form on the surface allowing people to walk all over your emotions
Little children stomp their way through each puddle not understanding the depth of the pain felt
As I walk through the rain I am careful not wanting to challenge the puddles that lie under my feet
Some puddles are deeper then others
Leaving more to soak up
I hear the steady dripping of rain falling against the down spout
The rain plays to it's own beat making beautiful music
Makes me want to lie down and take it all in
It is the most peaceful sound and brings stillness to my thoughts
As the night goes to bed and the morning takes over everything looks refreshed and wide awake
It is thime to take on a new day
A day of no teardrops of rain
