when you write me
was it with the objective that i cannot understand you?

do you conceal true intent
with words that from time to time i have to refer to
a dictionary
threshing out
a connotation from a denotation?

if you hand me metaphors
on a platter for breakfast
i may be lost
in the labyrinths of the poem
and i cannot be back
home on time
and you will regret
my being lost
because you tell me that you
cannot wait forever

clicking clock
cruel running monotones

next time, please write to me in simple terms
one that draws me nearer to you
so that i may understand how you are doing,
what you are, and
where are you going

because it will be same with me
when i say i am lost, i am lost, i am not into a Greek tragedy
facing the cyclops and looking for the golden fleece
or building that horse
to the enemies

you have a bow and arrow
strike me at the center of my heart
do not talk about the apple on my hair

i know how to wriggle in
pain
with you, just tell me
and soon
this will be
over.

THERE ARE THOSE WHO WAIT YEARS TO WRITE A POEM

There are those who wait years to write a poem
The fruit slowly ripens inside and then as with Rilke
It suddenly falls -

There are those who write a few lines
And come back time after time
And find the poem after many efforts-

There are those who cannot wait to write a poem
And once conscious of it must write it down as fast as possible
Before it is lost-

And there are those who only in the present writing
Find the poem -

The page suffers many methods and modes

But what truly makes a poem worthy
Is another question.

Lost in Today

I’m lost in a handheld time
Lost in a time of top notch cell phones and laptops.
I’m lost in a time of chaos
Lost in a time of too much homework, too many sports, and not enough sleep.

I’m lost within a race
Lost amidst the fast paced hustle of getting into a good college.
I’m lost in the scheme of things
Lost in the constant pressure of what I’m going to do after high school.

I’m lost and I can’t find my way out
Lost and sinking fast.

I’m quickly losing myself to time

Two Souls In Communion

What are they seeing, when they look in each other's eyes?
What are they feeling, when they see each other smile?
Is it love, I don't know - or an emotion that I've outgrown?
Did I take a wrong turn - in on life's winding road?

The Lost Lines And The Lost Pages

THE LOST LINES AND THE LOST PAGES LEAVE NO TRACE

The lost lines and the lost pages leave no trace
There is no way to recovery
It is a one – way journey after all
Those who had hoped to live forever by recording all that they have ever done
Have been painfully surprised by the disappearance of the universe
That Asteroid that landed in the heart of all we are
Or perhaps that chain of violence in which our own Ugliness did us in
Or perhaps some other manufactured artificial virus
Or who knows what and why
There is simply too much future Time
Not to die at some point in it
The lost lines and lost pages are small and insignificant
We are in all we are also
Small and insignificant
Why God made us and what God really does
We will never truly understand
Small is all and we are smaller even than the smallest part of any thing
Nothing is and nothing was and nothing will be
Only now in the silence
As I anguished write this
Not believing wholly a word I have said
I wonder again why God made me
And if and how and what and why and where
We are all just not anything real or good or true or beautiful or love.

Lost track of time
Can´t figure out what u say
Maybe i´ve lost my mind
I can´t just erase and rewind
Needing some time to think

How it can be done
Looking behind me, I´ve left no footprints

She’s lost her, where did she go?
Toss back time in her head, to and fro.
The giggles and cries and pictured her eyes.
The sickness, regret holding you back,
With ambitions to do the things that you’d lack
She’s lost left us lonely but not lost to be found,
But lost forever but not in the ground.
Not taken but given away and I think that we miss her every single day.
