Spring of the soul
over there
the flowers are waking
from bud
sleep
open a window
give God a little space
to be with you
put an empty chair of the
heart
where God may sit
and dwell
on the same direction
both eyes
thirst for joy....

Politik
Look at the earth from outer space
Everyone must find a place
Give me time and give me space
Give me real, dont give me fake
Give me strength, reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Give me time, give us a kiss
Tell me your own politik
And open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Just open up your eyes
Give me one, cause one is best
In confusion, confidence
Give me piece of mind and trust
Dont forget the rest of us
Give me strength, reserve control
Give me heart and give me soul
Wounds that heal and cracks that fix
Tell me your own politik
And open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Open up your eyes
Just open up your eyes
But give me love over, love over, love over this, ahhh
And give me love over, love over, love over this, ahhh

Remembering Haiti
Imagine waking up from sleep
and be imprisoned by the heap
of rubbles and other falling debris!
Imagine waking up from sleep
and seeing your own home
swallowed by the open mouth of earth!
Imagine waking up from sleep
and knowing that your loved ones
cannot wake up from death!
Haiti, we lament with you!
We share your tears
as you try to rub your eyes
from the deep sleep of
loss, pain and sorrow!

Hope Is An Open Window
(christopher ward/tim tickner/diana ross)
Are we not more than hunger and music
Are we not more than harlequins and horns
Are we not more than color and drums
Are we not more than anger and dance
Give me courage so I can spread it over my face and mouth
Give me courage, give me courage
Give me courage, give me courage
I walk these city streets see the people there
Look into the eyes of quiet despair
And the faces tell a story that words never can
And it falls to everyone of us to try and understand
Out of kindness
One act of grace makes the world we walk a better place
Hope is an open window
Love an open door
To reach out for each other
Is what we came here for
Through an open window
We can see the way
If we hold on to each other, every day
We build walls of suspicion with bars of fears
Tell ourselves well be safe in here
I know more brings us together
Than keeps up apart
First we got to tear down these walls within our hearts
We might be strangers, we can be friends
You and I we both need to let somebody in
Hope is an open window
Love an open door
To reach out for each other
Is what we came here for
Through an open window
We can see the way
If we hold on to each other, every day
Give me courage so I can spread over my face and mouth
We are secret rivers with shaking hips and crests
Come awake in our thunder so that our eyes can see behind trees
Give me courage so I can spread over my face and mouth
Give me courage, give me courage
Give me courage, give me courage
Hope is an open window
Loves an open door
To reach out for each other
Is what we came here for
Through an open window
We can see the way
If we hold on to each other, every day
Hope is an open window
Love an open door
Gotta be there for each other
Is what we sent here for
Through an open window
We can find a way
To love one another
Hope is an open window
Love an open door

Waking beauty
Waking beauty
~
She lays awake counting time
Thoughts soar like birds in the sky
She is free and she is beauty
The fallen rain saves her thirst
Brings to earth a rising bud
The flowers of something sewn
Begin to flower once more
A new beginning arises
She lays awake counting time
Her brown eyes flicker
Wide open to the world
The light breaks through window
Cast across her face
She lays awake counting time
As beautiful as the night
Those tender lips silent
She is as consigned to memory
A waking beauty

Every Time I Open My Eyes
Night or day
I dream of you
Dream of spending time with you too
Dream we decided to fall in love and that you'd always stay
Sometimes it makes me want to sleep all the time
What's the point of being awake
When during my dreams is when I'm happy
Because during my dreams you're here with me
I'll try to sleep for your sake
We've had the best times together these past three weeks
Even though I haven't seen you in awhile
Every night I go to sleep with a smile
But every morning, every time I wake up
I feel the depression, someone take this cup
Because every time I open my eyes I'm still alone
No matter how sweet the dream, it ends
No matter how much love my heart sends
The dreams they end and when I open my eyes I'm empty
When I open my eyes I'm still alone, I'm still me.... just me
I almost don't want to dream for fear of harsh reality
I know it's selfish of me
To want to dream all day and then not because it hurts my feelings
I wish I could just tape up my heart with sealings
And not let anyone is because all I dream of is true love
And all I can think when I wake up is: I'm completely alone
I'm unloved
I can't write poetry, and I can't rhyme
I have no skill, and I have no true love
EVERY SINGLE TIME MY EYES ARE OPEN!
I'm just alone even when I close my eyes to cry, the second they open tears
Come again, because I'm still alone...
It's gotten to the point where I can barely cry I've drowned in my emotion
I almost wish for death again, anything to end this loneliness
Why do I seek love so ardently when I have nothing left to give of me...
Maybe that's why when I open my eyes I may be a young boy
But I feel like
'An old man, filled with regrets, waiting to die alone.'

The Door and the Window
My love, you are timely come, let me lie by your heart.
For waking in the dark this morning, I woke to that mystery,
Which we can all wake to, at some dark time or another:
Waking to find the room not as I thought it was,
But the window further away, and the door in another direction.
This was not home, and you were far away
And I woke sick, and held by another passion,
In the icy grip of a dead, tormenting flame,
Consumed by the night, watched by the door and the window.
On a bed of stone, waiting for the day to bring you.
The door has opened: and can you, at last beside me,
Drive under the day that frozen and faithless darkness,
With its unseen torments flickering, which neither
The dearest look nor the longest kiss assuages?

Fill Up My Heart Stealing My Thirst - Original By Rabindranath Tagore
Fill up my heart stealing my thirst
Give me more feelings in my heart
God in your world and in your home
Give me more space God make me smart
God pour more light in my eyes
God give me more sweet surprise
My flute’s tears are its music
Show more melody’s magic
Give me sweet fruitful sadness
God give me more awareness.
God make me what I should be
God Save me God please save me

As We Go Along
I can tell by your face
That youre looking to find a place
To settle your mind
And reveal who you are
And you shouldnt be shy
For Im not gonna try
To hurt you or heal you or steal your star
Open your eyes
Get up off your chair
Theres so much to do in the sunlight
Give up your secrets
Let down your hair
And sit with me here by the firelight
Why think all about
Whos gonna win out
Well make up our story as we go along
Theres so little time
For us to try to rhyme
And so many highways to travel upon
Open your eyes
Get up off your chair
Theres so much to do in the sunlight
Give up your secrets and let down your hair
And sit with me here by the firelght

Sweet Home
My home is calling
And my heart; responding
The abode of pleasures and exhilaration
Where my mind prepares for some missions
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
Am not among those who cry
Seeking for hope, but it's dry
Am a free man
Facing difficulties which is so hard
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
Do i look like a convict?
The one who cries in the prison
Or like the bee that flies
And returns with joy to it hive
No! But no! I am not
I don't crave for the monastery, I'm not a monk
All i want is to return back home
To stay with folks but not alone
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I traveled abroad
I had much fun
I visited the queen
She offered me a tea
With all these pleasures
Without doubt cos am so sure
The home holds lot in hand
Treasures, happiness, so much to count
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I went to Brazil
I saw their windmills
I ate their food
Which made me cool
Delicious was it their fried fish
The one i ate which made me wishing
Then i remember the panla which we eat at home
So delicious and irresistible for the hungry throat
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I journeyed to Kenya
I saw a tiger
Its eyes scared me
Its claws; waiting for a meal
I rode on an elephant
So huge; so large
I saw lot of things
The zoo, the views
But still i craved
For my home; for my space
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep
I traveled all around the world
And everything seemed so bored
My eyes craved only for my beautiful home
My hands, my mouth and my little nose
They are all wishing to see
My house, my room, my folks in the street
All i have to do is go back home
To stay with folks and sleep on their foams
For wherever you are meant to be
Your home provides a beautiful space to sleep
My home, my home
My sweet, lovely home
I call on thee
Give me a space to sleep.

Insomnia
Im running in quicksand
Somethings haunting me
The guilty past Ive buried
My mind wont let me sleep
Ill do anything for peace - I keep waking up
A solemn oath I make
Cross my heart please let me sleep - I keep waking up
How much more do I take
My head is talking to me
I dont know what it needs
But the loudest voice
Is the one I heed
Insomnia, my swollen bloodshot eyes
Insomnia, awake till morning light
Insomnia, stirring deep inside
Insomnia, somebody turn out the lights
I cant sleep - insomnia
Im twisting and turning - I keep waking up
The madness I must tame
My candle is burning - I keep waking up
Both ends again today
The whole house is creaking
I know theyre out there
The things kept from sight
I beg to the shadows
I cant sleep
Insomnia, footsteps on the walk
Insomnia, I hear someone knock
Insomnia, I wish it was a dream
Insomnia, can you hear me scream

Let Them Be
let the shoes come and accommodate your feet
and the gloves your hands
and your shirt and pants let them all come near you
and wear your body
let all of them come
let them be let them be
let them have you
the shoes will take you to the door of the house
the home you are longing
the stairs meet you
and the windows open like eyes looking out to another face
the floors and ceiling give you a space
where you can sit with the chair
that opens its arms
a glass serves you milk
or orange juice, tell it what you want
to quench your thirst
a saucer, a plate, a spoon and fork
they all come before your hands
some muffins and jelly
they all come before your mouth
they all come to feed your hunger
this is your home now.
Destiny is waiting.
You do not do a thing.
They all do it for you.
There is no worry.
Destiny does it for you.You see.

In His Own Way
I feel I’m in heaven when
I hear that music, Father said,
Sitting in the chair in the garden,
Recovering from some old illness,
Hearing the Couperin organ masses
Playing through the open window
From your old black and red hi-fi
Record player. He was nearer to
Heaven than he thought, cancer
Was creeping through him like a
Silent snake. He didn’t go much on
Your Ornette Coleman’s alto runs
And tweaks of free jazz; what racket’s
That he’d say, trying to snooze in the
Afternoon sun, his companion Death
Lingering by, waiting for him in his
Own time to die. The garden’s empty
Now; his chair vacated, no more of
Couperin organ masses or Coleman’s
Free jazz playing out from an open
Window on a summer’s day, just birds
Singing nature songs across the way.

My Heart's Window
If I will love you, can you soothe all my sorrow
Can you erase doubts and fears that I have
Can you catch all tears falling from my eyes
Will you open the window of my heart
Will you wrap me by the magic of your love
And bind me under the shades of your comfort
Will you show me the beauty of this world
Once you unlocked the window of my heart.
If you can open the window of my heart,
Will you hold and hug me very tight
Will you kiss me to feel the warm of your lips
Can you take care and save my soul tonight
How blissful maybe to stay, to live beside you
How romantic maybe to make love with you
However, all of these things I can only know
Once you unlocked my heart's window.

Empty time, empty place. Empty heart, empty space.
Empty time, empty place.
Empty heart, empty space.
Give a little, fight a war
Take a lot, there is more.
Left to die, all alone.
Blackened sins to atone.
In a place by a stream,
in a dark, empty dream.
In a room candles glow.
Truth prevails if you know.
Something sweet and something blue.
Something with a natural hue.
Rendition of the Soul
wish to be right, though not perfect, the aim
high lead to low, what more i can do, but
to do the right direction my Mama and Papa
want me so
all my life lives in my sweet Daddy and
Mommy my sister my brother gives me all
what i say, they never told me not to cry, until
i remember the story of the falling angel who
once to be happy
days and night, my heart wonder, why people
want to be free and at the end of that day, tears
fall to the ground of no where to be found in
their heart so sad, even ready to be fire ring
squad, in front of the one they love
like a thirst of the hand that never drunk and
in the eyes that can't see; bring me then back
the old hand that call, thy bosom arm my heart
is so cool, let me ask some pity in the tears that
flows, taste it seems its empty, for thy soul
wanted to see, the bastion of the One whom
comes with the heart that hold in the soul that
folds
here i am, open my lonely heart, and hear the
rendition of my soul....all comes in you Lord,
promise that I may fall in your mercy
i am full......

In the spirit of Rumi - 47 - A Confession of Love Withheld
Now with surprise and sadness, I have realised–
I do not love you as much as I thought…
When you are beside me
in the bed when I awake
I whisper with my waking breath
to your open or your sleeping eyes,
‘I love you’…and in that,
I find myself…
But when you are far away
my first involuntary waking thought
is not of you, or love, or God
Who guided me through the night,
Who taught me to enjoy
His great invention, sleep…
but of myself…
myself and world as two
and I am lost to myself…
and know, I have not yet
surrendered all my mind and will
to God…
O My Beloved
how can I love you fully, as God loves, when
I do not yet see God
in every waking moment
in myself?

Wide Open Space
I wonder if after all this time
You think of me.
Do you ever miss my company?
You never could doubt about
The way that I feel.
Tell me: dyou feel it too?
Its funny how after all this time
Youre all I see.
I wonder if you still keep your key.
And now that youre gone
Theres nothing left for me here,
Just a wide open space.
And I cant forget that smile on your face.
Theres a wide open space,
And noone else can stand in your place.
Theres a wide open space here in my heart.
Its funny how all at once
The world can turn around,
Taking you up to bring you down.
And suddenly life has passed me by
And Im left with a wide open space.
You know I cant forget that smile...
... wide open space here in my heart.
I couldnt believe it when I thought
I heard you say
Youd never be coming back this way.
And since youve been gone
Theres been no love for my heart,
No, not a trace.
And I cant forget that smile...
... wide open space here in my heart.

Why Does Loneliness Weep In Wisdomful Silence
When the sun shows off its yellow teeth
In my eyes full of sleep
I laugh
And tie up all my sufferings in a knot
To put them in my heart's almirah.
When darkness and silence together
Knock on my window
I laugh
And birds resting on my lips
Fly away.
When for the sake of a handful of water
Empty and hypocrite hands
Fill up with prayers
I laugh
And in the rain of my laughter
Dry lakes quench their thirst.
But when in my wisdom filled silence
She does not acknowledge my existence
I laugh
And laughing, I start crying......!

Sleeping With The Numb
Waking only to feel nothing.
Just let me be.
Let me sleep so numb.
Pain is nonexistent in all extremities.
Time tics by and by.
and still nothing has changed.
still the same. who cares about that
guy who use live with the inflicted pain by
you over again and again.
hes just a stain and now its time to clean up.
waking to only feel nothing.
let me be. let me sleep so numb.
remember nothing. a nonexistent past.
house that burnt down and with it
all my memories accept for me being constantly numb.
A drug induce state should be one most kids celebrate.
but not this one. it was so fake.
Waking only to feel nothing.
let me be.
let me sleep so numb.
skin melts and still nothing,
i bleed and still nothing,
hit in the head and still nothing,
salt in the eyes and still absolutely nothing.
where are all the feelings
I'm so suppose to be feeling.
waking up only to feel nothing.
let me be.
let me sleep so oh so numb
