Spoon Feeding
when love is handed
on a platter
one begins to take
it for granted
when love is being
spoon-fed
on a mouth that
is not as hungry
as a lover
deprived of
sex for months
love becomes
so ordinary like
a traffic routine
like brushing your
teeth
every morning or
taking a hot shower
at night
love misses
wants something
like the adventures
of tarzan
the quest of freedom
for a
lawrence of arabia
love misses
those which are
film-like
a movie of the
night
where endings
sometimes
are too surprising
where beginnings
are strange
enough to know
that love has
just began
we must try
this: love unknown.

Hungry For Love
(coverdale)
I keep hangin on the promise of love
Your eyes tell me that Im gonna see
I feel the hunger like a starving man
Honey, when you stand close to me
I start to shiver, I start to shake,
Chills up an down my spine,
Im in the mood for action
In need of satisfaction,
Babe, Im gonna make you mine
Now I believe in you,
An everything that you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Ive got the weakness of an ordinary man
I need the comfort of womanly mind,
But, I get nervous when I think about
So many women an so little time
But, I believe in you,
An everything you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
I start to shiver, I start to shake,
Chills up an down my spine,
I get so nervous when I think about
So many women an not enough time
But, I believe in you,
An everything that you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Im hungry for love...

Hungry For Love
Moms old fashion cooking
Caviar and champagne
A meal at mcdonalds
Nothing fills a man when hes hungry for love
Give him love, make him feel all right
Give him love, help him sleep at night
Give him love, give him one more bite
Hes hungry for love (give him that)
An ounce of sweet jamaican
A snowy spoon of powder
A half a pint of bushmills
Nothing gets you high when youre hungry for love
Give me love, make me feel all right
Give me love, help me sleep at night
Give me love, give me one more bite
Im hungry for love (give me love, give me love)

Things Do Not Seem To Be Them After A Careful Seeing
a spoon
and a fork and they seem to appear
with food on a silver platter
when we talk we talk like poets now
after years
a spoon is no longer just a spoon
and neither is the fork
and neither is the food the food that we
eat on the table
and neither is the silver platter a mere
silver platter as it seems to be
for a spoon may be me and i may also be
a tongue and i could be a tongue to your
fork, a protrusion that stabs me like a knife
and the silver platter could be our mind
a garden where we put every seed
and the table and the cloth that covers it
with leaves and flowers
myabe our worlds, covered and uncovered
with some intricate designs
this could be our world now. a world of poems
where everything is a roll of sensitive skin
a mind so fertile with its array of metaphors
and similes and
exaggerations, and these make us so happy
we tiptoe, we choose the word, we equate
every object to a meaning, we dance to a lot
of its nuances, and then we touch and then
we are so silent. we choose not to hurt.

Youre the one Ive waited for
I need your love more and more
I dont know what your name is

I want to take you tonight

And all I want to do

Puppy Love
Puppy love,
it is not just any ordinary love
it is my love for you
a love that grew
immense
i love you at any expense
Puppy love,
it is not just any ordinary love
its my love for you
it is something true
never ending
i am not pretending
Puppy love,

it is my love for you

Hungry For Your Love
Im hungry for your love
Im hungry for your love
Im hungry for your love
But I can wait now
Im on the telephone
And I am all alone
Im on the telephone
And were connected
Chorus:
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you
I got such a lot of love
I wanna give it to you
And though were far apart
You are here in my heart
And though were far apart
Youre part of me now
And after all the years
And after all the tears
And after all the tears
Theres just the truth now
Repeat chorus
Well, Im hungry for your love
Hungry for your love
Well, Im hungry, yeah, well, Im hungry
For your love now
I love you in buckskin, yeah, yeah
I love you in buckskin, yeah, yeah
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you now

She Ain't Your Ordinary Girl
(Robert Jason)
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She don't love carelessly that's what I've always heard
'Can't use the usual lines she measures every word
No empty promises proof is what it takes to win her heart
The truth and nothing less, simple things that set her far apart
Save your diamonds and your furs she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
No midnight alibis, no foolish games for her
And if you cross the line you'll get what you deserve
But when you see her smile nothing seems to matter anymore
And in a little while you'll feel like you've never felt before
Like no other in the world, she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
Save your diamonds and your furs, she ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl

Her...
I can never get my mind off her,
I wonder if she'd mind if i'd,
make her my own,
and never let her go,
hug her tight,
treat her right,
act all polite,
take her on a date,
make sure i'm never late,
kiss her on her lips,
talk about our kids,
Make her feel like princess,
living in a castle,
hope that is not too much hassle,
But i am so blessed,
hope i can be the best,
hold you tight,
have your BR3A$t,
on my chest,
pass the test,
NOW YOUR MINE!

Spoonful
By willie dickson
Could be spoonful of diamonds
Could be spoonful of gold
But I want a spoon ot your precious love
To satisfy my soul
Chorus
Men lies about it
Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
Could be spoonful of coffee
Could be spoonful of tea
But I want a spoon of your precious love
Thats good enough for me
Chorus
Men lies about it
Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful
.
Could be a spoonful of water
Searching from the desert sand
But just a spoon of that fortifies
Saved you from another man
Chorus
Men lies about it
Some are wild about it
Some dies without it
Everythings right about spoonful
That spoon,that spoon,that spoonful

The Lover After Me
Here I go again I promised myself I wouldn't think of you today
It's been seven months and counting
You've moved on
I still feel exactly the same
It's just that everywhere I go all the buildings know your name
Like photographs and memories of love
Steel and granite reminders
The city calls your name and I can't move on
Ever since you've been gone
The lights go out the same
The only difference is
You call another name
To your love
To your lover now
To your love
The lover after me
Am I all alone in the universe?
There's no love on these streets
I have given mine away to a world that didn't want it anyway
So this is my new freedom
It's funny
I don't remember being chained
But nothing seems to make sense anymore
Without you I'm always twenty minutes late
Ever since you've been gone
The lights go out the same
The only difference is
You call another name
To your love
To your lover now
To your love
The lover after me
And time goes by so slowly
The nights are cold and lonely
I shouldn't be holding on
But I'm still holding on for you
Here I go again
I promised myself I wouldn't think of you today
But I'm standing at your doorway
I'm calling out your name because I can't move on
Ever since you've been gone
The lights go out the same
The only difference is
You call another name
To your love
To your lover now
To your love
The lover after me

Ordinary Girl
I see her there in her plain print dress and her fading youth
Something about her opens up my soul
Something about her speaks the truth
When the sky is falling
She makes the world go away baby and I tell the truth
Theres a plainness and a sameness to her touch
Oh yeah and its beautiful
I love an ordinary girl
Oh shes just an ordinary girl
I say I love you I know its just an ordinary sound
We make love in our ordinary house
Yeah its built on common ground and we know it baby
We go out walking on an friday night in ordinary town
Theres a sameness and a plainness to it all
Oh yeah and its beautiful
I love an ordinary girl
Yeah shes just an ordinary girl
Another day, another battle
We shake the cage, our sabers rattle
Nothing that matters comes easy
Nothing that comes easy ever really matters
Oh (everything I am) shes an ordinary girl (anything I plan)
I love her (for everything that I stand)
Shes an ordinary girl (Im just an ordinary man)
Yeah shes (in everything I do) just an ordinary girl
(in everything thats true) I love her (in everything I plan)
Just an ordinary girl (Im an ordinary man)...

Spoonful

Could fill spoons full of diamonds,
Could fill spoons full of gold.
Just a little spoon of your precious love
Will satisfy my soul.
Men lies about it.
Some of them cries about it.
Some of them dies about it.
Everythings a-fightin about the spoonful.
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful.
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful.
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful.
That spoon, that spoon, that spoonful.
Could fill spoons full of coffee,
Could fill spoons full of tea.
Just a little spoon of your precious love;

Save them from the desert sands.

Saved you from another man.

Cascades: Im Not Your Lover
You know Im not
Your lover now
It might as well be said
And then you say
Youre leaving
Or maybe Im just
Hanging on a thread
When I gave you everything
It didnt seem that much
You gave me your opinion
With the usual
Heavy handed touch
What can I do
About the rain that falls on you
Im not your lover now
Im not your lover now
What can I do
About the rain that falls on you
Im not your lover now
Im not your lover now
My head is spinning endlessly
My sense wont react
Then Im falling through a black hole
Part of me is never coming back
How you can lose a thing
You never really had
And you always hurt the one you love
And you just love to hurt me bad
What can I do
About the rain that falls on you
Im not your lover now
Im not your lover now
What can I do
About the sky that falls on you
Im not your lover
You really must be going now
By god, is that the time?
Let me put you out
Of my misery
They call it being cruel
To be kind
I only insult my friends
My friend
The rest can go to hell
You can read it
Anyway you want
Oh well, youre not so bad yourself
What can I do
About the rain that falls on you
Im not your lover now
Im not your lover now

Lover Lay Down
Spring sweet rhythm dance in my head
Slip into my lovers hands
Kiss me wont you kiss me now
And sleep I would inside your mouth
Dont be us too shy
Knowing its no big surprise
That I will wait for you
I will wait for no one but you
Oh please lover lay down
Spend this time with me
Together share this smile
Lover lay down
Spend this time with me
Walk with me, walk with you
Hold my hands your hands
So much we have dreamed
And you were so much younger
Hard to explain that we are stronger
A million reasons life to deny
Lets toss them away
See you and me we
Lay down look see
She and he
By my lovers side
Together share this smile
Lover lay down
Oh please oh please
Please lover lay down
Oh please lover lay down
And you weep lover lay down
Cause its over lover lay down
Say love, say love, say love, say love, say love
Could I love you
Could you love me
Darling its all the same
til we dance away
Chasing me all around
Leading me all around
Leading me all around in circles
Say.......

Bitter Blow of Love
Love! you dealt a bitter blow –
You lay me cross the mortal plains,
Bedewed, bedimmed amongst a show
Of tearful clouds: eternal rains
To weep at my enduring foe
Of harsh reality – searing pains of
Destiny: dependable propensity
To fool myself repeatedly
That I could ever triumph over love!

I Took Him For Granted
I once was blind
But now I see
I took him for granted
She took him from me
I once had a love
But now now I have none
And im, Im as blue as can be
I treated him a-wrong
And now im, Im all alone
I took him for granted
She took him from me
Well if I had known then
Just what I know now
I wouldve treated him so differently
And if i, if I had known
Well then i
I couldve shown him more love
Than hell ever see from her
I thought I had his love
In the palm of my hand
But i, I guess she showed me
And now i, I understand
Just how she, she got my man
I took him for granted
She took him from me

Big Lover
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover
When I feel you
You were like every love Ive known
Spun into one - my mind is blown
You were like all my burnt down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through
Big lover
When I hear your heart speak truly
Big lover!
You were a mystery revealed
A treasure trove too long concealed
You were like all my torn down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love flow through me
Big lover
When I hear you whisper to me
Big lover!
You were like earth and fire to me
You were j-o-y m-a-g-i-c
You were like all my ripped down dreams redeemed
You know what I mean
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Big lover
When I feel your love
Im alive!

Im truly alive

No Ordinary Love
I gave you all the love I got
I gave you more than I could give
I gave you love
I gave you all that I have inside
And you took my love
You took my love
Didn't I tell you
What I believe
Did somebody say that
A love like that won't last
Didn't I give you
All that I've got to give baby
I gave you all the love I got
I gave you more than I could give
I gave you love
I gave you all that I have inside
And you took my love
You took my love
I keep crying
I keep trying for you
There's nothing like you and I baby
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
When you came my way
You brightened every day
With your sweet smile
Didn't I tell you
What I believe
Did somebody say that
A love like that won't last
Didn't I give you
All that I've got to give baby
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
I keep cryingThere's nothing like you and I baby
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
This is no ordinary love
No ordinary Love
Keep trying for you
Keep crying for you
Keep flying for you
Keep flying I'm falling
I'm falling
Keep trying for you
Keep crying for you
Keep flying for you
Keep flying for you I'm falling
I'm falling
I keep trying for you

Today... 'Lover
My Lord is the greatest Lover
He has love me like no other.
My Lord, my Love, the Crucified
to save my soul He bled and died.
I am loved with everlasting love
By the One from heaven above
Such great love to me He has shown
Giving His life my love to own
Greater love there could never be
Than the love He has shown to me
Such sacrificial love was His
I don't deserve such love as this
For this my Lover is God's Son
The Altogether Lovely One
I'm my Lovers and He is mine
He is so Handsome and Divine
In his mouth is sweetness and life
And He desires us for His wife
'Arise my darling', He says, 'Come'
'My beautiful one, come on home'
The room was filled with sighs and coos
As His Belovéd the Lover woos
And words of love speaks to her there
embracing her in tender care
In His love He suffered and bled
'I'll never let you go' He said
Unbounded love to her was shown
when He died to make her his own
Day by day they walked hand in hand
Moving towards the promised land.
Then as she breathed her final breath
They together the Vale of Death
