Soul, Life...
no poem teaches us poetry
not an ant
thology of laureated
poets, the books of grammar
teaches only
places and the pauses
like a flower arrangement
do you still have life?
it is the one that teaches
all things and leads you
to all places
grammar and then
metaphors of
what sorrows, lamentations,
grief, greed,
joys, ecstacies.
bliss,
it is the vase with water
the one in the garden that you choose to cut
and aver and adore
not books, not other person's poems
yours truly....
do you have a soul?
it is

Life Is A Teacher
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to live.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to win.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to laugh.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to make other people cry.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to love.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to hate.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to win honour.
Life is a teacher, which teaches how to embarrass others.
Indeed, life is a great teacher as it teaches everything.
And in this very greatness lies life's weakness, that it teaches everything.
It teaches how to love, but also teaches how to hate.
It teaches how to help, but also teaches how to harm.
It teaches how to honour (others) , but also teaches how to embarrass (others) .
It teaches how to laugh, but also teaches how to make other people cry.
Wish life were a bit selective in its teaching.
But can't we be a bit selective in taking lessons?
Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life.

Ninja Shuriken
Now the time
is come. For us
ninja to fight.
Just because the Samurai
are strong, doesn't mean we're not
Stronger. Ninja are fast and sneaky. We
have abilities that would blow your mind.
Unless of course, you know our ways. We are
real in every way. You just got to believe
in us. You got to
know, that we're strong. Stronger than the Samurai.
Enjoy watching the fight. For the
ninja has this battle won. Samurai will be defeated.
________________________________ __________
Authors Note: I know the grammar part for the now the time is come is wrong. Cuz is should be are and I'd prefer it that way but This is an acrostic poem and I couldn't think up a sentence for I to go along with the story, so I used wrong grammar for it. Trust me, I didn't want to do that but I did. Guess it's a good thing that grammar ain't all that important when it comes to poetry. That's what my teacher said and I believe her. She did go to college and Idc what anyone else says about my grammar on here. My teacher said grammar ain't that important when it comes to poetry/poems and so I'm gonna listen to her.
If you read down, it says ninja shuriken.

Water teaches us to weep, wine teaches us to sing.
That Book Of Poetry....
there is no need
to pay
a semester of poetry
from any
teacher of poetry
who teaches whom?
can poetry be taught?
can poetry have
a dictated form?
no one teaches whom
and it cannot be taught
neither can it have a form
for poetry is here
deep in the heart of man
embedded in the mind
felt and then
whether you like it or not
becomes written

Time.
The books l have read,
The faces l have seen;
The places l have been to_
And the joys that l have known
And all the sorrows l walked through;
This if l add it all up:
To the knowledge undiscovered,
People l have never seen;
Places and pleasures untrodden and unknown;
And still, the sorrows unearthed....
Makes my time.

There Is No One There
in trying to forget he escapes from the house of pain
time teaches him about doors that he needs to enter
time leads him to the doors of pleasures and one door
leads to another,
different lights and warmth and glitter
different scents and dance steps of love
lust as he must say
later in his life,
some names and places
soon he is undressed and he sees his body and face in the mirror
his hollow eyes
his thirsting heart
his emaciated soul radiating the inner glow of what is about to be lost
completely
he takes the exit and turns back
to the familiar places of this heart
under the tree the bark where two names are written
a heart carved, an arrow piercing
there is no one there
there is no bird singing anymore
the clouds drift and then go away

The Lesson Left Untaught
School teaches us that 2+2=4
School teaches us that an essay has an intro, body, and conclusion
School teaches us that history is his story
We learn alot in school but not enough
School doesnt teach us how to deal when a love one dies
School doesnt teach us how many lies are truth
Or how many truths are lies
School doesnt teach us what to do when your heart has been broken into so many pieces, you find it difficult to trust anyone
To open up to anyone
......to love anyone
No
Because these things cant be taught
They can only be experienced through the course of life..
