Sad Times
i surf the face book of old faces
i was very thin then, and silent looking
my eyes are still sharp and i remember
not one of you wants to speak to me.
your hair was curly and you sat next
to the girl who said she really loved me
the other one kept the teasing
making the match that i did not mind
the last girl was as thin as myself
but ate her words about staying
patriotic.
After graduation i left immediately
someone promised to kill me in the city
so i left for the hills for i have my friends there.
i was so afraid and needing all support.
The rest of you went out of the country
looking for greener pastures, married
old and having only one child with
blonder hairs. I look at the pictures
again. Time passed so quickly. As
quick as thunder, and lighting. I got
hit, and i feel dying. I am here with
no definite plans, no place to go except
old age, and a mortuary insurance all
paid up.

Who's the Girl?
Who's the girl in the mirror?
Who's the girl in the frame?
Who's the girl with the smile that has faded off her face?
Who's the girl with the tears slowly rolling off her cheeks?
Who's the girl that cared about you?
Who's the girl that gave up everything?
Who's the girl that can't smile?
Who's the girl that's in denial?
Who's the girl that hit the ground, thinking that you'd catch her now?
Who's the girl that was betrayed?
Who's the girl that's in pain?
Who's the girl in the shadows?
Who's the girl in the shade?
Who's the girl whose light can't shine?
Who's the girl that's been left behind?
Who's the girl in that world that's been left? , There's no doubt.... she's not there.
Who's the girl that was once deep inside your heart?
Who's the girl that has cried and slowly died inside her mind?
Who's the girl you've forgotten?
Who's the girl you have hurt?
Who's the girl that has left?
Who's the girl?
Who is she?
You've forgotten her....

You left away
You left away
You forgot that you had a girl
A girl who always used to take care of you
She couldn’t sleep if you wasn’t fine
You left away
You forgot that you had a girl
A girl who loved you more than the world itself
A girl who never left you alone
But you left her alone
You left away
You forgot that you had a girl
A girl who used to look into your eyes
And she knew she will be okay
Now she’s searching for your eyes
She knows one day you will be back
Because no one loved you like the way I did
But it will be too late

Like A Tall Thin Girl
Well, I dont care to eat out in smart restaurants.
Id rather do a vindaloo: take away is what I want.
I was down at the old bengal, having telephoned a treat
When I saw her framed in the kitchen door.
She looked good enough to eat.
(and I mean eat.)
She was a tall thin girl.
She looked like a tall thin girl.
She said, ''whose is this carry-out?
My face turned chilli red.
Well, I dont know about carrying out,
But you can carry me off to bed.
(and I mean bed.)
She was a tall thin girl.
She moved like a tall thin girl.
Maybe I can fetch for it,
And maybe I can stretch for it.
I may not be a fat man and Im not exactly small
But when it all comes down, couldnt stand my ground.
This girl was tall.
(and I mean tall.)
Big boy doane, hes a drummer. dont play no tambourine
But hes madras hot on the bongo trot,
If you know just what I mean.
Stands six foot three in his underwear;
Going to get him down here and see
If this good ladys got a little sister 'bout the same size as me.
She was a tall thin girl.
She looked like a tall thin girl.
Well, can I fetch for it?
Well, maybe I can stretch for it?
Well, am I up for it? or do I have to go down for it?

She loves her hair stretched
accustomed to curly hair
when we were yet children
living in the same house
I feel uneasy why she
wears stretched hair
And she takes pride
about her new found fashion
And taste for something straight.
Curly hairs and split ends
Never gave her luck
She got an ugly husband
Who does not understand her
Rich maybe, but slaps her
It is time she gains confidence
In herself to a newer face
A stretched hair, straight
And candid and ready to
Fight now, win or lose,
At whatever costs she must
Deny her old self, the one
With the curly hair, she is
Ready for the consequences.
Her right as a new woman
With stretched hair is now
Or never, she has no time left
Anymore for hiding and cowardice and tears.

Curly
Mister mackan was a practical man,
Curly was his only son,
And he loved him like no other can,
Bi-dum, bi-dum, bi-dum.
He discovered the world in a wonderful girl,
Though he played with more than one.
But he loved her like no other can.
Bi-dum, bi-dum, bi-dum
Chorus:
Oh curly has she let you down and run?
Oh curly wheres your girly? wheres she gone?
Ran all over the town,
Till he covered the ground,
Every inch of liverpool,
In a way I feel so bad
That she let he be made a fool.
But remember shes right,
As we freeze in the night,
When the dawn took years to come,
Does he love her like no other can
Bi-dum, bi-dum, bi-dum
Chorus
Now curse the day,
Yes it really shok you good.
Just broke away, no,
You didnt feel she would.
You didnt feel she would.
La-da-da, na- na- na- na-
Desolation tones play on
Though it breaks you curly
Cant you see what she has gone and done?
He discovered the world
Such a wonderful girl,
So he played with more than one,
But he loved her like no other can
Bi-dum, bi-dum, bi-dum
Oh curly, wheres she gone?
You didnt feel she would.
Feel she would. la-da-da,
Na-na-na, na-na-na, na-na-na

Country Girl
(copyright nazareth, tiflis tunes,inc.- ascap)
You are a girl from the country
Your eyes remind me of the sun
You came to visit in the city
And won the hearts of everyone
You are a girl from the country
Your hair is colored like the corn
I have never been outside the city
I am no friend to anyone
Chorus:
Country girl wont you stay a while
Wont you stay a while with me
Country girl wont you stay a while
Let me see you smile for me
Lead
You are a girl from the country
Before you came I was alone
Please say youll take me to the country
And let me share your country home

The girl you all...
The girl you all once knew so well,
Has left and now dwells.
Dwells in the place of burning fire.
The place where you sent her with desire.
The girl you all once knew as a child,
Has left not for a while.
She's gone and won't come back again to this town.
Are you happy she took her final bow?
The girl you all once made fun of at school,
She was treated so cruel.
How you made her feel pain and fear,
Making her think she's unwanted here.
The girl you all once put in such pain,
Because of you fear and grief is what she gain.
She gained this by your torture in her life,
And yet you wonder why she sleeps with that silver knife,
The girl you all once called the bitch from hell,
Can you hear her ring those darken bells?
Do you understand the pain she was put through,
Around the people she once knew?
The girl you all let her life end,
Did you remember when you were once a friend?
A friend to her when she had none around,
So why did you let her die and leave this small town?

All is fair in love
I deserted the girl I loved
To marry the one selected.
I married the girl I loved
And left my parents in lurch
Which is correct?
Rejected by the girl I loved,
I remained single throughout.
I abandoned the girl I loved
To love another found better.
Which is right?
I divorced and married.
I indulge in extra marital sex.
I flirt with other women as often.
I visit for novelty brothel houses.
Which is justified?
In a bi-sexual love
There is no God’s rule
Other than attraction
For consummation.

Friends As Lovers, Lovers As Friends
new york wasn't mine
was it me, or just my kind
spinning softly, talking cheap
theres no place left to be
but a road that just goes on
to everyone leaving town
friends as lovers
lovers as friends
shall we dance into the night
as the jukebox moans and pours out time
friends and lovers
lovers and friends
theres no place left to be
than wrapped around your eyes
and every passing town
or stay as lovers
or stay as friends
theres no prayers
for dashboard light
flagging goals
you're missing sides
'cause they say you are the one
and theres no place left to be
than where you stand right now
i know these leaving town
us as lovers
lovers as friends
to your face
to speak alone
to your back
among the proud
we're friends with lovers
lovers with friends
and theres no place left to be
that can keep me away from you
on every passing train
i see lovers
i see friends
darling boy
youre on my mind, she says
i feel your skin
as if its mine
this pain it sweet
too sweet to touch
and theres no place left to be
in the shadow of your lives
in everyone leaving town
friends as lovers
lovers as friends
and theres no place left to be
than where you are right now
beside us leaving town
i'm your lover
i'm your friend

Faces and layers of faces
At first, this is the face I will show you
Shallow, thin, smooth
Then we feel each other, like some kind of
New found friends, I
Take another layer, and tell you, this is my face,
Some scars, and lines of age, and furrows,
Then we write many emails, and remember
Common things, like a certain familiarity,
Another layer is taken and exposed,
The face of a sick man, with some
Disappointments in his mind,
Some wounds, wrinkles, and so you
Think, are there other layers of faces still
To show,
Deeper, deeper is there another layer to show
Another face of this man?
Yes, there is another layer, more faces
Hidden underneath each layer,
As we go on, learning from ourselves,
And me learning from myself,
I will be digging for more faces,
Because I am never static
I am growing, and for each growth
Like molting
Another face comes out
Soon, I hope, I must come out
With the most beautiful face
The we can be both proud of,
It is just a matter of time
Depending on how well you have loved me.

I Am The Girl
I am the girl that you see
Brown layered hair that goes pasted my shoulders
Green eyes that looks like Spring time leafs
Tiny little freckles on my face
A beauty mark on the right side of my cheek
that shows that I am different from everybody else
But I am the girl that you see
I have a style sense that not everybody likes
but I like the creativitity I put in it
My shoes don't always match my shirt
But that makes me different from the rest of them
But I am the girl that you see
I am the shy quiet girl
I study for those hard test
I do my homework
I do as the teacher says
But I am the girl that you see
You say 'She's weird! '
You say 'She's stupid! '
You say 'She doesn't belong! '
But I don't let it bring me down
I stand strong and hold my head up high
But I am the girl that you see
Even though you see me
You still don't know me
For I am the girl that you don't know

Lil Girl
Remember that lil girl?
She was so pretty
Remember that lil girl?
She was so smart
Remember that lil girl?
You constantly said you loved her
cherised her, never wanted 2 see her go
Remember that lil girl?
She had dreams and a head a curls
But one day that lil girl, she straightened her hair, grew up and disappeared
Well...you thought she was gone
You said she lost her values
Her morals and herself
You said she tried to love everyone but herself
That lil girl was dismayed, betrayed and potrayed as no one special
You used to tell that lil girl she could be anything she wanted to be
I only wish I could tell you that the lil girl you remember was me

I'm this kinda girl...........
I’m this kinnda girl
Current mood: adored
I'm the girl who will put her head on your shoulder, not because she's sleepy, but because she wants to be closer to you...
I'm the girl who likes to be kissed under the stars, more than inside your bedroom or in a expensive resturant...
I'm the girl who holds your hand and plays with it....
I'm the girl who doesn't mind you playing with her hair....
I'm the girl who stares into your eyes looking for a reason what you see in me.......
I'm the girl who loves to end a hug with a kiss...
I'm the girl who will take care of you when you are sick...
I'm the girl who you can talk to you about anything...
I'm the girl who laughs at your jokes...
I'm the girl who will have many inside jokes with you and remember each one...
I'm the girl who will brag about you to all of my friends...
I'm the girl who will listen to you talk...
I'm the girl who remembers how and when we first met.......
I'm the girl who loves to hear you sing, even if you horrible....
I'm the girl who promises to never leave, and keeps it......
I'm the girl who loves when you hug me for no apparent reason...
I'm the girl who loves it when you hug me from behind or kiss me on the forehead....
I'm the girl who loves you for you; and doesn't care what other people say about us...
I'm the girl who will love you unconditionally for the rest of your life...
Little Girl
Little girl is smart as she can be, woe
Little girl youve made a fool of me, woe.
I believed her when she said she really loved me.
The love was shining in my eyes so coundnt see the lies
In her eyes.
Little girl knows more than she pretends
She knew I wanted to be more than friends.
Every time she hurt me oh how sorry she was,
Yesterday she went to far and now Im through because Im wise
To all those lies.
Friends said dont worry now shes sweet and shes kind
Dont be afraid to tell her how you feel all the time
The little things that bothered me I let them go by
And now its too late to cry.
Little girl its time that we should part
cause little girl now youve broke my heart.
I couldnt help but hear what they had said about you
Now Im ashamed to tell them that I fell in love you.
Theyd laugh at me
Please set me free.
Friends said dont worry now shes sweet and shes kind
Dont be afraid to tell her how you feel all the time.
The little things that bothered me I let them go by
And now its too late to cry.
Little girl now Im through with you
cause youve got everything you wanted too.
Despite all those things that they said you had done
You had me believin now that I was the one
In your dreams, instead of your schemes.
Little girl, little girl.....

Take Me Away
this time what I want is you
there is no one else
who can take your place
this time you burn me with your eyes
you see past all the lies
you take it all away
I've seen it all
it was never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
I try to make my way to you
but still I feel so lost
I don't know what else I can do
cause I've seen it all
it was never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
don't give up on me yet
don't forget who I am
I know I'm not there yet
but don't let
me stay here alone
I've seen it all and it's never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
I've seen enough and it's never enough
it keeps leaving me needing you
take me away
take me away
I've got nothing left to say
just take me away
take me away
take me away

The girl in the mirror stared back at me.
Unflinching.
Eyes blood shot.
Cheeks stained with tears and sweat.
Her hands dangled weakly, swollen
and splattered with blood.
Matted hair sprung from her head and the black circles
made her eyes seem all the more sunken. Desperate.
She was small. Shriveled.
All hope sucked from her soul and left a scar
across her gray face like a tree branch
reaching for the sun but anchored by the abandoned
body of a young girl whose heart
had long ago stopped beating.
the fallen soldier of a country whose world
had fought against it. A country of Purity.
And this girl raised a cut and bruised arm
and lifted the mask from her face. Hesitantly.
The scars faded.
They left tiny white lines on my arms and face.
And my eyes cleared;
Hope glistening from them
and making my skin glow.
My hair curled softly.
My hands healed and were cleansed.
A slight pink stain rested on my fingers
My flesh was watered back to life.
And I smiled.
A weak, crooked sort of smile.
My teeth were not in their places
and a few were chipped,
but I loved the sight of that broken grin.
