work the hardness

Butterfly Fly
Fly little butterfly fly, for you are beauty and free.
Ever changing, ever transforming.
I am changing, I am forming, I am growing.
Like a butterfly so beautiful and yet so free.
Always changing, always transforming.
I am that butterfly, I am beautiful but yet I am not free.
Open the window, let me fly for I am not a child anymore.

At Some Time...
to be a sponge-head
amidst the rain in the yard of the red district
just an ear
not a face, just an ear detached left to dry
upon a deserted
street,
to listen and not be be a host to a lot
of emotions
to be just a canvass to the bright colors
to be just the soil to the flowers
a fence
of a certain perimeter
to open one eye and stare and close the other
and feel
to blink and then remember
to hold my own arms and rub my own shoulder
to lay my head upon a stone and
savor the hardness and
numbness
the soles of my feet to be acquainted with the
sands of the shores
at high noon
to live in a faraway planet where there is no sun
to sleep and be not dead
to wrap a secret like a gift upon the self
to count the locks of the hair
to breathe like it is the last free air
to smile as though the lips and teeth have a deadline to meet

I am a butterfly

That butterfly I knew.
Pretending to be just a caterpillar...
With nothing else to do.
Crawling upon a branch,
And on leafs I saw it chew.
I watched this masquerade...
And stayed focused on it too!

As a child...7 colors
I looked up to the rainbow and seen 7 colors
Now i look at the sky and i only see mist and fog
Time passes by and everything around me chages
I search for those in my past, and none are 2 be found
They are no where 2 be found!
I open my heart and close my eyez....
I want to kno if i gaze again into the sky, if ill ever see that rainbow
Will things be different will i see the rainbow if i take a chance
I want the fog to fade away...to lift and be gone
So all i do is pray, and wish this fog be lifted...i scream in my soul

All the weary winter's yearning
Bursts in restless passion burning.
