The Leaf And The Tree And The Roots
if i had to write it again
then i had to, as i must
let you fully understand
the true nature of a vine
the way the leaf swerves
with the wind to give itself
to a fateful fall, the one that
completes its existence as
a leaf to a tree, a part of
a whole, the way it must
settle on the ground and
be with the worms and rot
and fulfills the cycle of its
short existence, and by then
it tells the roots, i am a leaf
i am back and you must now
eat everything in me so i can
be with the bark again so i
can be a leaf again to a tree
that holds me back

lets me fall again.

Her Shadow
Her shadow is forever gone since she is of someone else now. It hurts to live without her because I truly loved her though I can understand that she did not fully trust me, that is why our love story never reached a peaceful end. If Peace Should Be Peaceful
Someone, whose name I remember not,
Held in high esteem by friend and foe alike,
Said, ' There is no good war, neither bad peace.'
How true! How obvious! It seemed
at first glance.
But then, peace also is not peaceful at times.
Peace! Peace! Peace!
All peoples, of all ages
All creatures of all orders
And philosophers throughout the ages,
Sang, extolled, and praised and sought it;
It was preached from church altars,
It was taught from podiums in halls of world gatherings.
But peace has not always been peaceful.
Peace, much desired, much sought after, as it is;
Is abhorred, derided and avoided just as much.
For peace also needs to be peaceful.
And for peace to be so peaceful we need to build on peace.
If peace should be peaceful, it must needs be peaceful.
And this- possible only when people are at peace with themselves-;
Because, as it were, one cannot give what he hath not.

Optimism,
Optimism perished from the face of my earth

The Hands Of Whom We Love
what i have been writing is simply
the product of
a big distraction
it is like the blind
writing about light
i hear it and i know it
but i cannot clearly see it
and hence
i have never fully understood it
if i understood it
i shall not bother writing about it
this doubt shall make me live to write for more
i have it in my tongue but it slips the moment i want to utter it
behind me are scenes of my rumored true being
i set it aside for a while to describe it in words
but words are too shallow
i cannot bury my feet on them
and so the same things happen
night after night
sleepless after sleepless hands
groping for a dark and elusive fish in space
i submerge into unfathomable madness
do not get me wrong i am sane as the brightest star tonight
but just like it
there is no intimacy
for clarity
there is only beauty at a distance
like the way we wish to hold the hands of whom we love
we long that much but
we do not die.....

I stand here before you,
Transfixed,

I've lived the life of a phoenix.

Only to look back and laugh at what
burned me.
