Reserve This Space For The Anonymous

be glad you have a name
the one your mother thought
when she first conceived you in her womb
the name the world has given you
in letter bold and big and strong

you have been there
on the mountain top and it was cold
and so silent

now is the time to come down
and meet your friends
and dine with them

you leave the clouds and be
with earth you leave that space now
reserved for the anonymous
faceless, weightless, empty
let the unknown be full and let it be there

you have breathed the thin air
you felt the clouds in your fingers
you have kissed the sun and you did not burn
clip off your wings and come with me

on an afternoon walk we shall see the sun
setting so beautifully

The Old Man....

there is this garden that you tend
you put the seeds and they all sprout in time
time waters it
the changes take place
soon the flowers bloom and
you watch all these
with patience
there is this light feeling that comes
like butterfly wings
white against the dusk

there is nothing new in that garden
you are sick and takes the rest
you sit by the window
the same window all these 50 years
time is you boring attendant
independent from your grasp
it can exist without you

you sit and watch the world passing by
like a flower slowly unfolding
and you never notice it
you go out
you have recovered from a disease
you
take a walk
visit some friends
come back in the afternoon
you watch the view from the window
again
this you do perhaps for another 50 years
of your life
setting aside fears of not having to
step upon 60
life is short for those who have no one to love

it is the same field same mountain
bald and brown
same clouds
pale blue and drifting
same fog
fading like a magical show

same window
that you close again
because it is dark
and cold inside
your old wooden bed
that you have
inherited from your
forefathers

as usual
you take your sleep
time passes you by
the room is so silent
as though
it is the home for
the dead

This Time Tomorrow

This time tomorrow where will we be
On a spaceship somewhere sailing across an empty sea
This time tomorrow what will we know
Well we still be here watching an in-flight movie show
Ill leave the sun behind me and watch the clouds as they sadly pass me by
Seven miles below ma I can see the world and it aint so big at all
This time tomorrow what will we see
Field full of houses, endless rows of crowded streets
I dont where Im going, I dont want to see
I feel the world below me looking up at me
Leave the sun behind me, and watch the clouds as they sadly pass me by
And Im in perpetual motion and the world below doesnt matter much to me
This time tomorrow where will we be
On a spaceship somewhere sailing across any empty sea
This time tomorrow, this time tomorrow

How Can I Leave You Again

Di di di di di la la la la la la
In a spaceship over the mountains
Chasing rainbows in the setting sun
Leaving heart and home for the city of angels
I feel my life is undone
There are pathways winding below me
In pleasure Ive gone where they go
In the quiet stillness I can hear symphonies
The loveliest music I know
How can I leave you again
I must be clear out of my mind
Lost in a storm Ive gone blind
Oh, how can I leave you again
Oh, its been a long time since Ive listened
Still longer since Ive walked with you
For the first time I know what Im missing
Some answers are no longer true
So I question the course that I follow
Im doubtful and deep in despair
My heart is full of impossible notions
Can it be you no longer care?
Still, I ride on the wings of a high wind
Blowing steady and strong behind me
As the clouds surrender my fate is for certain
Im a sailor who runs to the sea
How can I leave you again
I must be clear out of my mind
Lost in a storm Ive gone blind
Oh, how can I leave you again

The Lighter Side Of Things

it happens
when there are no attachments
when you sleep in a room
and you leave
early morning
you leave a trace of the scent
of your body
and you pack all your things again
you walk fast
to another destination
you think of other things
those that do not sink you
nothing metallic
at all
just the soft cotton side of life
a feather
thin air on the mountain top
distant little towns below
and the wide sea at the horizon
clouds hover
fog reside temporarily
mists come
and everything just leaves away
when the sun
gets in over the shutters of your window
you dabble on
a far sighted view
these things
do not settle you
you float on them
on the wings of the winds
silence.

When Doves Cry

Dig if you will the picture
Of you and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers me
Can you my darling
Can you picture this?

Dream if you can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals strike curious poses
They feel the heat
The heat between me and you

How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that's so cold? (So cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry

Touch if you will my stomach
Feel how it trembles inside
You've got the butterflies all tied up
Don't make me chase you
Even doves have pride

How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world so cold? (World so cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding (maybe maybe)
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold (too bold)
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other (why)
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry

ooh ooh ooh - baby

Stranded

Standing here helpless
Where do I go
If you leave me alone
Where do I turn now
If it don't work out
As for as I can see
This isn't the way
That you said it would be...

Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded
If you walk away now
You leave me empty handed
Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me...

Wasn't it you
Who brought me here
To the place lovers go
Just look at these arms
Reaching out to you
You said that you'd always care
I just turned around
And there's nobody there

Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded
If you walk away now
You leave me empty handed
Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded
Don't leave me now
Don't leave me...

You said that you'd always care
I just turned around and there's
nobody there

Don't leave me like...
Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded
If you walk away now
You leave me empty handed
Don't leave me like this
Don't leave me stranded

Dont Leave Me Now

Dont leave me now
Leave me out in the pouring rain
With my back against the wall
Dont leave me now
Dont leave me now
Leave me out with nowhere to go
And the shadows start to fall
Dont leave me now
Dont leave me now
Leave me out on this lonely road
As the wind begins to howl
Dont leave me now
Dont leave me now
All alone on this darkest night
Feeling old and cold and grey
Dont leave me now
Dont leave me now
Leave me holding an empty heart
As the curtain starts to fall
Dont leave me now
Dont leave me now
All alone in this crazy world
When Im old and cold and grey and time is gone...

The End Of…

I am glad you moved on, but is it necessary to be so hardcore. I know the hurt is excruciating its unbearable and hurting.

I thought we shared a bond so strong not even separating could be a course, for speaking so utterly out of song.

I apologize if It seems I do not care, but could you at least spare, spare me the cold shoulder, we still have to grow out of this, still have to grow stronger.

I worry that you are just acting out, cause I have hurt you so much, but it seems unnecessary to push me out into the cold, cause I have already caught that cold.

I understand you want to be bold, and act as if everything ain’t wrong, I admire you, and you have that desire to move on, and please do with my blessing you should hold on to moving on.

But all I ask is for you to consider that it is not as easy for me as you think it might be, cause it ain’t I wish you could see. I pretend not to feel, I constantly steal a smile, and hide my true colors for a while.

I wish you all the best, I wish for you all the rest, you are the best, I missed out I guess.

So as each day flows and passes me by as I stare with the hope of being ALRIGHT, it just slips through my wet fingers and lingers, I dream of continuity as I try to avoid reality, I die at the thought of you not surviving without me, I cry at the thought of losing this, this pure love that’s so rare to acquire, hold your hand and admire, burn with desire, I cry all the time it hurts as though I’ve been burned with a scorching fire, don’t scold me again, I’ve been through that wire, I still want you to think of me in a clearer eye of desire. I love your fire.

So let us close this door and swallow the keys, mistakes no more a walk of life, you were almost my wife, let us leave behind this shattered love I destroyed, I no longer aspire to impose, I’ll leave you alone bury this rose, chapter closed.

Never Knew You

Never have i meet you,
you past away when i was only a little girl,
leaving me alone in this cold cold world,
i had my mother to guide me thru,
but it hurts to not have you,
knowing you didnt leave me by choice,
never to see your face or hear your voice,
its one of the hardest things Ive ever been thru,
mothers advice is great,
i see why u choose her shes awesome and very strong,
but she can never be you,
the man, the daddy figure i seek,
a girl in this world full of men and to not have that
man of my own,
would of loved being called daddy's girl,
instead im on my own,
im a reflection of you, and everything you do,
Ive only meet you in my dreams,
and the memories i keep in my brain,
Ive never meet you but know your a great man,
and to have been able to hug you ever so close on graduation
would of been the best thing in the world,
whats a girl to do, with out her dad to guide her thru,
whos gonna walk me down the aisle?
im not sure but man oh man i wish it could be you.

Space I Want to Leave

No one to hold,
When the cold in me comes.
I am certain 'someone' is there.
But where,
Do I go...
To show this desire.
That waits for just that 'one'.

I am here...
In,
This place I choose not to be.
Feeling empty and alone.
With a need that fills in me.

I am here...
In,
A space I want to leave.
But who is that special one,
Who will believe...
I am a prisoner,
Of a hurt I breathe.

Dreams visit with wishes,
I have them to give.
My heart has given before.
I gave but was ignored.

I thought a love I had...
Would never go away.
But one day that forever,
Came and did not stay!

No one to hold,
When the cold in me comes.
I am certain 'someone' is there.
But where,
Do I go...
To show this desire.
That waits for just that 'one'.

I am here...
In,
This place I choose not to be.
Feeling empty and alone.
With a need that fills in me.

I am here...
In,
A space I want to leave.
But who is that special one,
Who will believe...
This deepness felt hurts so,
When the cold that holds wont go!

Blank Generation

I was saying let me out of here before I was even born
Its such a gamble when you get a face
Its fascinatin to observe what the mirror does
But when I dine its for the wall that I set a place
I belong to the blank generation and
I can take it or leave it each time
I belong to the generation but
I can take it or leave it each time
Triangles were fallin at the window as the doctor cursed
He was a cartoon long forsaken by the public eye
The nurse adjusted her garters as I breathed my first
The doctor grabbed my throat and yelled, gods consolation prize!
I belong to the blank generation
I can take it or leave it each time
I belong to the generation but
I can take it or leave it each time
To hold the tv to my lips, the air so packed with cash
Then carry it up flights of stairs and drop it in the vacant lot
To lose my train of thought and fall into your arms tracks
And watch beneath the eyelids every passing dot
I belong to the blank generation and
I can take it or leave it each time
I belong to the generation but
I can take it or leave it each time
I belong to the blank generation and
I can take it or leave it each time
I belong to the generation but
I can take it or leave it each time

A Letter from a Girl to Her Own Old Age

Listen, and when thy hand this paper presses,
O time-worn woman, think of her who blesses
What thy thin fingers touch, with her caresses.

O mother, for the weight of years that break thee!
O daughter, for slow time must yet awake thee,
And from the changes of my heart must make thee!

O fainting traveller, morn is gray in heaven.
Dost thou remember how the clouds were driven?
And are they calm about the fall of even?

Pause near the ending of thy long migration;
For this one sudden hour of desolation
Appeals to one hour of thy meditation.

Suffer, O silent one, that I remind thee
Of the great hills that stormed the sky behind thee,
Of the wild winds of power that have resigned thee.

Know that the mournful plain where thou must wander
Is but a gray and silent world, but ponder
The misty mountains of the morning yonder.

Listen:-the mountain winds with rain were fretting,
And sudden gleams the mountain-tops besetting.
I cannot let thee fade to death, forgetting.

What part of this wild heart of mine I know not
Will follow with thee where the great winds blow not,
And where the young flowers of the mountain grow not.

Yet let my letter with thy lost thoughts in it
Tell what the way was when thou didst begin it,
And win with thee the goal when thou shalt win it.

I have not writ this letter of divining
To make a glory of thy silent pining,
A triumph of thy mute and strange declining.

Only one youth, and the bright life was shrouded;
Only one morning, and the day was clouded;
And one old age with all regrets is crowded.

O hush, O hush! Thy tears my words are steeping.
O hush, hush, hush! So full, the fount of weeping?
Poor eyes, so quickly moved, so near to sleeping?

Pardon the girl; such strange desires beset her.
Poor woman, lay aside the mournful letter
That breaks thy heart; the one who wrote, forget her:

The one who now thy faded features guesses,
With filial fingers thy gray hair caresses,
With morning tears thy mournful twilight blesses.

In The Middle Of The Year

In the middle of the year,
Seldom the sky shows his face.
The clouds reign with friends,
And, the land hails drops of rain.
The clouds play origamy with,
The folding flakes of their
Feather making rafts, boats, ships
One after another on the chest of
The sky, some restless clouds,
Fall to earth to feel the adventures
Of their life, to get into the
Embrace of the stream, river
Seas and oceans, to be evaporated
Again to meet their friends.
They smile, laugh and giggle,
With their hearts' content.
The sun sees this behind the,
Mountains of clouds, peeps
Sometimes, to give ray to,
The rain-bathed earth---
Then the earth, shines in joy!

The Sky Or My Reflection?

The sky above me is blank
and it's empty!

It's not like the beautiful sky
that saw me
over the waterworks
beyond the fields
The sky
that merged into the water
and created a vaccuum in space
towards the left side of the bridge.
and for a moment,
ended the differences between the mighty heavens and the lowly earth
and for a moment,
made me feel the unity,
the being and the nothingness.

It's not like that dark starry sheet
that mesmerized me on the mountains,
and made me wonder
about the infinite galaxies
that might be staring back at us,
and made me forget the swirling road
in front of me,
and made me happy.

Its not like that womb of the virgin moon
that covered the ocean,
that transcended into the web of my thought
and very nearly inspired me to drown.

This sky, however, is blank
and dusty
and it seems to fade away
into an unknown oblivion.
It seems to have lost its reason to live.
It seems to be dejected, miserable.
...or maybe its me.
My eyes, that see it so!

Perhaps it is me
I have never been this gloomy

That night when the sky
was bright
with beautifully lit stars,
infinite shiny scars,
we had walked by the shore
tracing an infinte bewildering pattern
in the plains high above in space
the sky was happy, that night.

that morning when I woke up
and thought that in a petty bollywood flick
someone had given a nice remedy of calming the nerves
and I had stood before the rising sun
to rejuvenate my senses
The sky was a clear blue blanket
The sky was happy and full, that morning.

But today
when
I trudge on a dusty road,
on a dusty afternoon,
fatigued and tired,
finding a lost way
that leads to the place I call my home,
the sky is blank
and miserable
there are no birds up there today
no wisps of furry clouds
just vast dusty emptiness
no tender curves
just blunt edges

....or is it me,
my eyes, that see it so?

Flightless Bird

My world is caged in,
I can not fly away,
I can not soar in the clouds,
With the wind and the angels.
I am a flightless bird with clipped wings.

I sit here day in and day out,
I watch so many people coming in and going out,
They stay here so happy so proud,
And they leave again without any care in the world.
I am a flightless bird with clipped wings.

I remember each face,
I remember them all saying hi waiting for a reply of hello,
They don’t understand how it feels,
They don’t understand what it’s like.
To be a flightless bird with clipped wings.

Wings tucked and head held high I sit here,
I wear a smile on my face and I keep myself beautiful and happy,
But inside all I can see are the bars that surround me,
I can’t get past them I can only sit.
I am a flightless bird with clipped wings.

My world is a room full of people myself the center of attention,
Although I should not complain for this is my life,
And I make them smile I make the children laugh and look in my eyes,
And sometimes they look into my eyes and see my world through my eyes.
They know I am a flightless bird with clipped wings.

They’ll stand and watch me as I walk around in my cage,
They’ll be there with me and try to understand.
Then they’ll have to leave and they’ll look over their shoulders.,
And they look into my eyes one last time,
Before they fly away into the world to bring back stories for the flightless bird with clipped wings,

They are my connection to the world,
They show me what they see through their eyes,
They show me wonders and beauties of a world I’ve never seen,
They are my window to the outside,
In their mind I can be a flightless bird in a world of wonder and of flight.

I am only a small bird in a cage that sits in a hotel,
Sits and watches as the world around me fly’s by,
I wait for the occasional stranger who looks into my eyes with knowing,
Maybe a person who is like me like a flightless bird in a cage,
They are my wings, the wings of a flightless bird who’s wings are clipped.

I sit in my own world and watch as it all moves by,
Day after day I watch and I say what is expected of me,
I sit in my world and I go on my own steady journey,
A journey in which I am a silent observer,
A flightless bird with clipped wings in a world of ever changing skies.

Hilltop Laptop

In this world of mobile head f*cks,
Of midnight satellite beaming,
What space is left for dreaming?
Myspace? Yourspace?
Any time, any place.
Where is my face?
Who are these ghosts smiling at me through a portal lens?
Are they my friends?

I am left to wondering, left to kiss the invisible.
My fingers no longer dancing, trapped in a web of deviations.
Electric snake, electronic deceptions
Surfing isolation accompanied by a gesture remote.

I feel disconnected, more so with every tower erected in line of communication.
Always in hope I hold the world in my fingertips; I know not what to do with it.
More so and worse I am bored, bored with all dimensions.

Allow me my time within the screen
There I shall find the space to dream
There I shall be alone – Remote- In control.
There I shall be at home.

So leave me to my plastic throne here on hilltop high.
Leave me to my troubles, leave me to the sky.
And I ask only one thing of you, don’t try to ask me why,
Just leave me here to die, beneath silent satellite sky.

Disingaged Minds

On the contrary my friends you are all wrong,
My time is not nearly gone,
It is the early morning,
Reminiscent of the setting sun,
A stasis before the new dawn
That fears the forbidden fruit
From the vine of early youth...

As if in a cloudy hour,
The afternoon came too soon
Before the morning had been done,
Time began blinking in and out
Of relevance and cognizance
To burn with consciousness...

What the world does not offer,
Restraints-will not give,
It can only be implemented from within
And if borrowing time
For this is a crime,
Then, invention be the wealth
Of disengaged minds,
While success belongs to the wise men on earth
Gained through hard work and sacrifice...

When I leave

When my arm is cold and numb
And laid to its final rest,
What would be the last thought they would have
If you could remember or relive one last quest.

When my eyes close their very last time
What would be the last sight for them to see,
Would it be a sight, that gave a delight,
To be cherished by my soul through me.

When my fingers loose their sense of touch
What touch would be missed most of all,
Would it be the roses in the summertime,
Or the many leaves, that I touched in fall.

When my lips quiver their last time to shut
What would be the last feeling for it to miss,
Would it be to say a prayer or speak a thought
Or would it be to perform one last kiss.

When it is time for me to leave this Earth
I know that I must go all alone,
Sadly I will leave and happily I will go
As I live a empty world, to enter a new home.

Before my arm goes they need one last hug
Then it will go with pain and delight.
Before my eyes close shut as surely they’ll do
They will see Heaven in sight that night.
Before my fingers loose their sense of touch
A loves hair they would need to brush
They must feel the softness that they once knew,
Then they will leave, with just a hush.
My heart would beat one last time for you
And for my lips, what would be their finale wish,
Would it be a prayer or a poem to recite
Or would it be a last goodbye kiss.
