Poetry Is An Accelerator Of Time

i wake up
at 3 a.m.
symptomatic
of old age
and i open the
PC and start
scribbling
whatever comes
to my mind
a memory
a plan a
stream of
consciousness
that i simply
let go
like a flow
of an idea like
an electricity
running inside
my veins

three poems
and then
i stretch my
legs and
wriggle my
hands and
blink my eyes
grasping for
something new

now it is
4: 42 a.m.

how fast time can
run
to a man as slow
as i am.

Rachab

Open your mouth and begin to eat,
Move your legs and begin to walk,
Open your mind and start to learn,
Move your hands and start to work,
Because you need ice-cold water on this love like taxi-drivers and food sellers!
For the begining was from the blink of your eyes,
But beauty is your name so sweet oh Rachab my lover;
So open your eyes on this love and let us live together.

Slow Down

So far from where I started out
So far from where I wanna be
Listening for answers in the wind
But cant find a rock to plant my feet
Looking for love in all the wrong places
Down on my knees and now Im praying for patience
I know theres gotta be a better way
In the back of my mind I hear my momma say
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
Thinking the faster that I go
The faster (that) I will reach my goal
The race is not given to the swift
But to the one who endureth
I thought that all my obstacles were behind me
Walking around like Im made out of diamond
I tripped and fell and it remindedme
Move over and let my angels guideme
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
Sometimes you gotta be still
Before you can get ahead
Be still
Ask the universe for help
Be real
You cant do it all by yourself
Ah, no no
Sometimes, sometimes you gotta be still
It take some time to reach you and they
Be still
Take some time to clear your space
Be real
Chaos isnt good for your health
Ah, no no, ahhh
Cuz Im breaking things and losing things
I lost my cell phone again the other day
Now, I dont wanna live this way, no
In the back of my mind I hear my mama say
Slow down, baby youre going too fast
You got you hands in the air
With you feet on the gas
Youre bout to wreck your future
Running from your past
You need to slow down before
You go down baby
(slow down baby)
Slow down (baby)
Youre going too fast
Slow down (baby)
Feet on the gas
Slow down (baby)
Run from your past
Slow down baby (4x)

A Stretch Too Far (Fun Poem 119)

You wake up in the morning,
give your legs a stretch,
and have a stretch too far
that leaves you getting out of bed
quicker than you got in
then dancing around the bedroom
doing some crazy Irish jig
with a cramp in your legs,
which only happens when
you have a stretch too far.

Neo-prototype Man

First man of this kind
A million* years hence
A fine unlimited mind
Developed sixth sense

“Impossible” you say
“This can never be so”
“You’re mad I daresay”
“Evolution’s too slow”

Doubt not, it’s God’s Plan
To speed up soul evolution
To create “Prototype Man”
To give mankind absolution

Here’s how to get head start
Speak truth, open your heart

“A million years is but a single blink of God’s Eyes”

Havent Told You

Look in my eyes
What do you see?
Only me
Got nothing to hide
Seek and youll find
Whats on my mind
This happened so fast
Not a part of my plan
So Im leaving my heart in your hands
-chorus-
Havent told you, just how much I love you
Only by dreaming, I show my feelings
Havent told you, just how much I love you
Time for revealing, and I will give you something too
A love from me to you
(oh yeahey...)
Look in my eyes
You know me so well
Cant you tell that Im ...
Way in too deep
Im going down
So catch me now
It happened so fast
Not a part of my plan
Now Im leaving my heart in your hands
Havent told you just how much I love you
Only by dreaming (by dreamin), I show my feelings
Havent told you, just how much I love you baby
Time for revealing, and I will give you you something too
A love from me...
I feel you...everyday
I breathe you...every single moment from the start
I see you...constantly
I feel you...
You moving slow
No letting go
You smile at me
My heart is yours to keep
-chorus-
(repeat 2x)

Stretch Out And Wait

On the high-rise estate
What's at the back of your mind ?
Oh, a three-day debate
On a high-rise estate
What's at the back of your mind ?
Two icy-cold hands conducting the way
It's the eskimo blood in my veins
Amid concrete and clay
And general decay
Nature must still find a way
So ignore all the codes of the day
Let your juvenile influences sway
This way and that way (this way)
This way and that way (this way)
God, how sex implores you
To let yourself lose yourself
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Oh ... let your puny body, lie down, lie down
As we lie, you say
As we lie, you say
Stretch out and ...
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Oh ... let your puny body lie down, lie down
As we lie, you say :
Will the world end in the night time ?
(i really don't know)
Or will the world end in the day time ?
(i really don't know)
And is there any point ever having children ?
Oh, i don't know
What i do know is we're here and it's now
So ... stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
There is no debate, no debate, no debate
How can you conciously contemplate
When there's no debate, no debate ?
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Wait
Wait
Wait
Wait

Morning Poetry

morning has come and you wake up and open
as a form of instinct
your computer.
Teeth not brushed.
Hair scattering.
Mote still in the eye.
without thinking you
start scribbling.
Type what is in
your mind.
Instinctively.

This is what you want.
Morning as a form of
literary instinct.
No serious thought
just plain stream of
consciousness.
You pause.

You look outside
the glass window.
Pierce through.
There are no people
here.
The pavements is
as silent
as the wall.
Mute World.

The air blows.
Leaves fall.
Some careless
droppings
of migrating
birds.

why is poetry getting
to be an instinct?
Habit of the mind.
Exercises of
the heart.
Like plain
jogging.
Stretching of the
imagination
like arms
of the sky.

The sun comes out.
Light scatters on
my scattered hair.
I feel the
thickness of
my gums.
Teeth are always
patient.

Heart beats.
Mind shrinks.
Words dominate.
A new world
is born.

You do not exist
in my mind.
i deny you.
there is no space
here.
i point to the
tip of my
head,
i touch the
side of my
chest.

I forget
one thing.
Someone
is here.
always
instinctively
unnoticed.

O God!
Is that you?

Days Without Poems

DAYS WITHOUT POEMS

Days without poems-
Nights without poems-
A time of life without poems-
No poems anywhere.

Empty inside
Running outside
Tired.

No inner energy
No great urgency in feeling
Nothing.

In the emptiness inside of no- poems
I pass this time without song.

Stream Of Consciousness

Stream of consciousness

Thoughts that come at random
With no foresight and no plan
My fingers type at their own volition
With no structured idea at hand

I live in an environment of inquietude
In an ambiance of unease and perhaps fear
There’s a weight upon my forehead
A sense of loss of things I hold dear

Today’s a day much like any other
I read, I eat, yet feel so incomplete,
and blandly smiling at me in calm so replete
On my desk, photos of sisters and brother

Just to sit and compose idle randomness
At my desk, takes my mind away for a bit
Yet at the back of my mind sits emptyness
And knowing I cannot escape from it

This bit of inane exposition
Is from my fingers and not of my mind
I try to stop all conscious thought
And let my fingers write blind

My busy fingers put a name
To unconscious sentiments so sad
Stream of consciousness
says more of the same…and that..
I’m slowly going mad

To flow or carve? .......Destiny or will?

Through snakey lanes I wander,
Blink my eyes in the dark.
Feel the silence settle on my skin,
And in the distance, hear a dog bark.

Its night I know.
Yet I am surprised,
That the light is nowhere.
It's this darkness I despise.

I glide my bare hands,
Along moist slimy walls.
Trying to find my way out,
Into heavens illuminated halls.

But the farther I walk,
The farther I seem to be.
The hot dank sewage smell,
Tells me, its hell that I see.

I flail my arms,
As far as I can.
Trying to break the vice,
That binds me. drags me to where I began.

While I suffer this turmoil,
A stream of water catches my eye.
I watch it flow on the road,
Accommodating the low and the high.

Slowly hope glimmered,
As I learned from the water,
The more you struggle,
Hells fires get hotter.

Go with the flow.
Pain results from intervention.
Let life show you a way.
Sit back, relax, without tension

The water slithered,
On the uneven dank road.
Unperturbed it made its way.
Even the hard road yielded.
The water eroded it away.

Patience is the key,
The light-house of life.
Perseverance is the tool,
To carve out your life.

I suddenly felt free,
To follow my heart.
The hands stopped flailing.
I had found a place to start.

I followed the water,
Like an obedient student.
Chucked my way of living,
Realized it makes sense to be prudent.

But lo behold! the water too,
Lead me to hell's gate.
For running down the slopes,
Unabated, it reached its fate.

The pure stream drowned,
In the ugly drain.
The water lost its identity.
Its purity got a stain.

I don't want to flow,
On a pre destined way,
Only to discover
It's an end to my day.

I want to carve.
Be a master of my destiny.
I am not as lifeless,
As the water I now pity.

I flex my muscles.
Try to rediscover my course.
And stretch my arms.
Shout for directions till my throats hoarse.

Through snaky lanes I wander,
Blink my eyes in the dark.
Feel the silence settle on my skin.
Yet determined, to make my mark.

Rules or no rules

Poetry has no rules to go
It has simply to flow
As lines emerge from deep corner
You write it as fast as runner

Rules or no rules
It has to be simple tool
To catch the nerves and make impact
Poetry is as such fine art with single act

I follow nothing
Simply obey the instinct that has to do something
With human mind and touch
Poetry has its own kind to influence as such

Some may say it is boring
Some may listen to it while snoring
Cuckoo reveals it in early morning
Words strike as has rhythm with warning

Wake up! And now time to resume
A bright day with blessings has come
We are all made of simple clay
Poems must spread fragrance when find its way

Haven't Told You

Looking in my eyes
What do you see
Only me
Got nothing to hide
See can you find
What's on my mind
This happens so fast not a part of my plan
So I'm leaving my heart in your hand

[Chorus]
Haven't told you just how much I love you
Only if I'm dreaming I show my feelings
Haven't told you just how much I love you
Time for the revealing
And I will give you something too
A love from me to you
Oh yeah oh

Looking in my eyes
You know me so well
Can't you tell that I
Way in too deep
I'm going down
So catch me now
It happens so fast not a part of my plan
Now I'm leaving my heart in your hand

[Chorus]

I feel you every day
I breathe you every single moment from the start
I see you cause I live
I feel you oh
Your moving soul
No letting go
You smile at me
My heart is yours to keep

A Flow of Love

Yeah!
Slow and Slow
ye stare
with eyes-
eyes innocent
as doe

Slow and Slow
you emptied
my cup
A cup
of woe

Slow and Slow
ye vanquished
my foes
hidden
inner foes

Slow and Slow
Ye pour
A wine of joy
in a goblet
with glow

Slow and Slow
Ye stamp
my cells
from
head to toe

Slow and slow
Ye weed out
ignorance
with your
divine hoe

Slow and slow
Ye open
petals
of my mind
for glorious show

Slow and slow
you rescued
me from claws
A dangerous
Maya's claws

Slow and slow
you weeded
out my flaws
habitual
mortal flaws

Slow and slow
Ye brought me
under yoke
A yoke
of divine law

Slow and slow
please come
in my life
with your
majestic flow

Because
Our separation
waiting on death row
our rendezvous
hot desert in a
storm of snow

Knowing Your Perimeters

knowing your perimeters is not an easy job,
not really expensive, but it takes the mind of the pensive man,
the wiles of the wise and the wit of the wounded

who am i? where am I? what am i?
where am i heeded? where i will stop?
what can i do? what i cannot do?

knowing the length of your arms and feet
the distance of your vision
and knowing what you can touch and
see, and knowing what you cannot
even touch and see no matter how
wide you open your eyes

knowing your place, your fences, the limits
of your garden, the source of your water,
your air, your food, the quiet imagination

knowing what you can give and you can hold,
knowing what you can let go
and what you must keep in your heart forever

knowing the limits of your mind
the stretch of your hands, the number of times that
you can blink your eye,
the right time to fear and the right time to kill
the right time to love and the right time to hate
or just be the foolish man who is so indifferent

i know my limits and i mark my boundaries.
please do not go any further. i am just staying
within the bounds of my hands and feet.
i am seeing you and i am warning you.

i have this detonator. My finger is ready.

How Are My Poems Made?

I get a theme like bolt from sky;
I rack my mind to word aright;
I write it down by scribbling first;
I type it when I find the time;
I wring my heart to add feelings.
I check the rhyme and rhythm fast;
I read aloud to check the flow;
I edit flaws and tinker it;
I read / redo till they look good;
I thank the Lord for His kindness;
That’s the way my poems are made!

First Time

Your hands run over my breast
You slide into me as my body welcomes you as a guest
Your body moves as mine follows the steady pace
As your body bulids it becomes a race.
My mind fills with this lust, this power
It shall not let me cower
As the slow beat of music plays
I think of how how this memmory shall stay,
In my soul, in my heart.
My body waits for the feelings to start.
As reality hits I remember this is my first
But now the need for more fills my heart with it's thirst
You move faster, and the pain fills my veins, my blood
The pain quickly lessons as my thoughts turn to mud
Here and now is all that matters, all I seak
My body arches as we reach the peak.
Your movements start to slow
Making movements a steady flow
You retreat from my body yet remain in my grasp
As our breaths turn to steady gasps.
You smile as you lay next to me
And now the whole of you I see
I smile back as your lips press against my hair
I meet your lips with mine with passion with care.
I close my eyes to replay the moment over again
And now my true life will begin
My head lay on your chest
My eyes filled with you, this feeling is the best
I close my eyes again to sleep.
For tomorrowI will weep.
But now I sleep in your arms, in your mind
This night was so calm, so kind
As your arms pass over me one last time
So slow, so soft for you know this is my first time
You watch me as I sleep, and ask yourself if I left what would you do
So you kiss me once more and whisper 'I love you'

Open Your Eyes

Open your eyes
To the millions of lies
That they tell you everyday
Open your mind
To the clever disguise
That the advertisements say
How do they know what's good for you
Wake up
Wake up
A shot to the head
they are better off dead
Will you wake up
Destroy all the land
And kill what you can
Just to make the profits rise
They sell you from birth
For all that you're worth
The money spreads like flies
How do they know what's good for you
Wake up
Wake up
A shot to the head
they are better off dead
Will you wake up
Dont want to hate you
Dont want to blame it all on you
I'm out of options
If you dont look i'll force you to
Wake up
Wake up
A shot to the head
Just so you can be fed
Won't you wake up
wake up
Open your eyes
wont you open your eyes

Reminiscing

*note: this is taken from 5iveweb, Im not sure the lyrics are 100% true. Ill try to get the real ones soon, cos theres this missing part here too!*
Yo, Ive got a little story that Id like to address
To individuals, gotta get it off my chest
It aint about whos the best
Or five being better than the next
Were just a little different from the rest
Cos see, we got each other
When things go down
And time is just too important to be messin around
So understand not what Im trying to say
But appreciate living life day to day
So how does it feel to be the only ones
Left out in the rain cos youre phoney ones
Wake up and realise what you live is a dream
Aint gonna be there for long even though it may seem
Like a never ending story
You in it for the money or the glory
Open up your ears or ignore me
All Im tryin to do is be the man I am and be the best in this world I can
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on
You got to open your mind up and kick both your feet up
Ill hit you with a tale of how the five of us were meet up
Were just five guys who wanna rise to the skies
No ......... we got a vision in our eyes
Now people wanna step up and try to hold us back
They wanna try to stop us getting freaky on this track
But this is how we kick it and this is how we swing
And this is how I hit you with the funk that I bring
Now you gotta select to connect not disrespect
And you gotta learn to keep your negativity in check
Cos everybody knows what goes around comes around
Ill put it down with my sound
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on
Reminiscing bout the time we used to share
If you feel it throw your hands up in the air
Time is running out, memories die
Keep movin on
Gotta keep movin on...
