Perhaps, I Expect Too Much From You....and So Here I Am Feeling So Disgusted

words flowed
like some reunited letters lately

the concepts come out
from the mind

still like words, syllables conjoining
there are no images still

i wait, i am waiting, i keep on waiting
like a commuter of a train

perhaps i have expected too much from
you
something graphic
like sun rising from a hill
in the full majesty of its
inborn light

after i have read
everything that you have written for years
following each like
the running ticking seconds
of the hour

i feel so disgusted

stalks without flowers
ladies stuffed like mummies

mountains bald deprived of the
green and yellows

there is a world without
sky and sun and sea and dolphins

a patch of light without
a hue

i want to see those prisms
refractions

interactions of colors inside
the depths of
our souls

perhaps i have expected too much from you
and so i am disgusted

give me your world
i will scatter it with stars tonight.

Big Dumb Rocket

Ive never seen your breath before
But Im disgusted by the thought of
Waiting anymore
If I look up in your eyes
Will you notice me or
Fade into this accident
I dont want to find
The big dumb rocket on your mind
Its mostly you and mostly me
And a tired gun thats not empty
Ive never been this sad before
But Im disgusted by my fingertips
And what theyve done
If I look into your eyes
If it must be true you must believe
Ive never held such violent things
Ive never talked to God before tonight
But Im disgusted by...

Nightboat

Standing on the edge of the quay
No light flashes on the water for me
Fog in my mind darkness in my eyes
Silently screaming for a distant sound
Ripple river yellows
Rising for a breath of breeding and drowns
Stillness overcomes me in the night
Listen to the rising water moan
Waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Im waiting, waiting for the nightboat
Shadows all through me shudder away
Echo me echo me am I alone
Or is the river alive cause it
Echoes me echoes me echoes me

Lighting Rod

I am waiting on a mountaintop
For the moment that the sky will strike
My apologies are forever lost
Soon to ashes in a flash of light
Miles away from me
Hope is fading soon
Gone forever is a waste of time
My intentions like this waiting room
Only bring to me a fading light
Locked up forever inside
I look to the stars and ask why
Oh, if they could just change my dark heart to feel
All our saves aaaway
Thrown away
Oohooh
I am waiting like the single bloom
Lost forever in the storm of life
My intentions like this waiting room
Only bring to me a fading light
Locked up forever inside
I look to the stars and ask why
Oh if they could just show these wounds how to heal
Here I am
My last stand
And I know for all the rising and falling there's nothing to show
Throw me down, throw me down, throw me down...
It's been raining
And I will pay
World must come to me
I am a lightning rod
I am waiting
On a mountaintop
World above me
He will strike me
Locked up forever inside
I look to the stars and ask why
Oh if they could just change my dark heart to feel
All I am
My last stand
And I know for all the rising and falling there's nothing to show

Can You Feel It

Can you feel it, love is waiting there
When you feel it, Ill be waiting there
Something has come over me
I cant explain how full and free
I want you to feel it
Suddenly deep inside I have peace on my mind
I want you to feel it
On the last day that I walked the earth
I found the answer to the question that we all search
Where do we go from here
Can you feel it, love is waiting there
When you feel it, Ill be waiting there
Come inside, now you are cold
No colours block unopen doors
I want you to feel it
Suddenly deep inside, you have peace on your mind
Tell me, can you feel it
Its the last chance to take a look inside
Its up to you to change the world for a better life
Where do we go from here
Can you feel it, love is waiting there
When you feel it, Ill be waiting there
Can you feel it, love is waiting there
When you feel it, Ill be waiting there

The Blank Space Inside Us

there are blank pages
some say that it is a must that something must be drawn
words to be written
thoughts to stifle, capture,
stuffed,

there is a day that you prefer
to keep a blank sky
a dark sky without stars
no light

when you close your eyes
you are at home with this blank page
words become
invincible
but they are all there
perfectly correct
well viewed by the eyes of your heart

somehow you go beyond
your every
day fences
move away, jump and run towards
an island of light
a patch of green grass

still no stars
pure blank
it is when you do not believe in the power of thoughts
when what preoccupies you
is nothing when you are finally one with all
space
it is too peaceful to even dropp a word
like a pin on
a shiny floor of tiles....

I'll Prepare the Kool-Aid

I am called a nonconformist
Because I choose to be who I am...
After finding myself.
They are still waiting for approval and acceptance.
Something certified to help them feel worthy.
They believe I seek membership,
When I approach them as they gather...
Waiting patiently in line to pass inspections!
All dressed to impress and practicing their speeches!
Someone from 'inside' directs me to come immediately...
I am expected the voice inflects.
Someone yells out, 'How can he go before us?
He's not dressed for the part! '
I offered apologies for being late to those inside who wait!
Looking back at those with pretentions on their minds,
And turned up noses captured on them all the time!
I responded, 'I am here on business. Not to masquerade!
Many of you are here earlier than expected!
After I'm done...I'll prepare the Kool-Aid!
Spiked...
Just the way ya'll like it,
And...on the rocks! '

As I work with my words as medium

I want to be profound
Deep, deeper than what i
Can possible swim

But I have seen
The limitations
Of words as medium
Of my thoughts
How can I put the
Color red
Of an apple
In words

Or the scent
Of lavender
In syllables

Here you are
Reading me
And I do not want
To disappoint
You, my reader

I want to create
A world of sensations
For such is the
World of poetry

I have long wanted
You to feel
My sadness in
Letters
My loneliness
In a single
Letter

This

i

Or...... ............................... me...................................

I want you to listen
To me
In the hush of the wind

In syllables

I want you to
Read my joys
In my phrases

Sometimes
I have given
You sentences
stanzas

I want you to
Be at home
With my words

But these are
Just words
And I must
Have failed
In bringing
Back to life

Your senses
Hopelessly
They have long
been dead

words, words, words,

And
Even this whole
Poem
Is not enough

Let me try
Again
On some
Coming
Illustrations

Birds falling
Their wings clipped

Leaves blown
Detached from
Their stems

Trees threatened
About the news
Of the coming storms

Oh I am so sorry
Your senses are sleeping

Mangle Bangle

dramatic spans

years and years of waiting
to get exactly what you want
in what you do

you reflect

the need to wait for the return
of a particular quality of light,
in order to proceed

selecting the mood
waiting for the right time to unfold

about your struggles

uncooperative weather
or other alterations in your chosen thoughts,
in your effort to record faithfully
some tracks of history

all very impressive
such excessive literalness
your only aim,
avoiding feelings

early surrealistic images
to recent staccato cityscape
and suave sculptures
and refined poetry

you were never literal
because at the end
you put the last anaphoric word

exactly,
truth is never exact as they always
demand

ultimately words scatter
phrases mumble
intelligible and i perfectly understand

your thirst for
understanding

Light Years

I'm looking down from a precipice
I hear a roar from behind
The whole world's pushing
To let them pass
I think they'd best wait in line
I'm in the eye of a hurricane
I wait for mountains to fall
The world comes thundering down again
But nothing gets through these walls
I've waited light years for this moment
I've waited light years for you
I'm out there watching the sun come up
And I've got nowhere to hide
The world keeps on pushing
Just to get a look
But I'm not stepping aside
Forces have met to bring me here to you
Nothing on earth can keep me from the truth
Now the eternal flame at last burns bright again
The wait was not in vain
Now that I've found you
The storm is raging around us all
A shelter forms in my mind
The world keeps pushing upon my door
But I won't let them inside

Available Light

Words by neil peart, music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
The restless wind
Has seen all things
In every kind of light
Rising with the full moon
To go howling through the night
The sleepless wind
Has heard all things
Between the sea and sky
In the canyons of the city
You can hear the buildings cry
Oh the wind can carry
All the voices of the sea
Oh the wind can carry
All the echoes home to me
Run with wind and weather
To the music of the sea
All four winds together
Cant bring the world to me
Chase the wind around the world
I want to look at life --- in the available light
Play of light
A photograph
The way I used to be
Some half-forgotten stranger
Doesnt mean that much to me
Trick of light
Moving picture
Moments caught in flight
Make the shadows darker
Or the colors shine too bright
Oh the light can carry
All the visions of the sea
Oh the light can carry
All the images to me
Run to light from shadow
Sun gives me no rest
Promise offered in the east
Broken in the west
Chase the sun around the world
I want to look at life --- in the available light
All four winds together
Cant bring the world to me
Shadows hide the play of light
So much I want to see
Chase the light around the world
I want to look at life --- in the available light
Ill go with the wind
Ill stand in the light

Only In My Mind

thoughts fire
mind blaze
run on wind

words sing mind melodies
words sing song new images
dance in heart veins flow

words shape shift
into new thoughts
concepts poems

several are written
in time heart beats
wonder stirs anew

but only in my mind
where the beauty sings
sung sight meditation

no words given unto paper
no words processed on light screen
no words kept mind record

dart of honeybird flight
bats fly sonar night vision
wing beats of wonder

words released born free

The Quivers Of The Heart....

THESE ARE our quivers, we have arrived at a dead end, and we face walls,
we look for the outline of a door and then a window
there is no sketch of a rectangle
or square
or a hole
we are praying for a leak of light to this dark room
existence
they say the sun does not shine anymore
the flowers are shy
and kept themselves locked in the tightness of their buds
these are the quivers of our imagined endings
our hands are shaking
the world is suffering to an earthquake of
values shattered

we like to speak only when we are far away from each other
our display of affection is well demonstrated by our constant hiding
we have devolved into shadows
and invoking words cannot take the substitute of the flesh

i am a stranger now arriving at a new place where people do not know
me.

as i speak, they continue looking outside, waiting for the right train.

i sit on a chair behind them. I sip my coffee. I pay for what i eat and drink.

i am lost, but this is what i want. I too, look outside, waiting for the right hour to arrive.

these are our quivers. We have no exact hold. Our hands are blistered with so much heat from inside our guts.

temper stored. anger contained. sorrow concealed.

one day, i shall write the poem about an annihilation of us.
when you read it, and that is the right hour, i am already gone.

nowhere. where is it? i also do not know.

The Wait

I stand
As the time fies by
With the ticking of the clock
Sounding large by the dock
Moments turning into seconds
And
Seconds running into
days, months, years.
Alone I wait
In this harbour
For arrival of
Only god knows
Who, what, why?
I think my heart would understand
My mind need not try.
Anxiously I watch
As each cargo is dismantled
Searching
Only god knows
Who, what, why?
I think my soul would recognize
My eyes are too shy.
Silently I witness
As each ship pulls out anchor
Slowly disappearing from eye.
And
I wait
As the time flies by
With the ticking of the clock
Sounding large by the dock
Moments turning into seconds
And
Seconds running into
days, months, years.

The Serpent Is Rising

Written by john curulewski, chuck lofrano
Lead vocals by john curulewski
In the abyss of space
From the center of time
A superman race
Moves the serpent to climb
The journey has lasted
Seven ages or more
Life after life
Must pass through the door
The secret revealed
When you leave your cave
Is a glory of thunder
And life from the grave
The serpent is rising
Uncoiling in your spine
Bringing you light
From the depths of your mind
The people have massed
In the center of town
We drink from a glass
And the world turns around
The serpent is rising
Uncoiling in your spine
Bringing you light
From the depths of your mind
The serpent is rising
Uncoiling in your spine
Bringing you light
From the depths of your mind
The serpent is rising
Uncoiling in your spine
Bringing you light
From the depths of your mind

Painted Canvass: Perspective Master Strokes

Luxury. Time and a whole new poem to cite.
Exquisite. An exceptional poem a classic write.
A great poem from a favourite master poet.
And mine all mine to read now in the night.
With deep appreciation, I read these words in hues of light.
Others may fear fail to tread, this path that shines so bright.
First we avid read, then deconstruct, then reconstruct,
the words are whole again, with new fair crafted insight.

If we do not venture, into the words?
How will we know, there meanings?
The poem was whole, written in theme concepts.
Word play gifted images, savour ponder contrasts.
Mine eye perceives perspective, shaped in logic art.
The images drawn forever grace, astound my heart.

It Didn't Matter

It didn’t matter if the moon was full last night, and that I did not count the stars-
Or that the birds were singing upon early morning awakening,
Forty or some odd years ago- or perhaps even before then-
A full moon evoked fantasies of fortune, mystery and desire to know
What existed beyond my own back yard-
Stars were a million light years away and
Brought to mind none but curiosity and fascination-
I never knew why birds sang and hardly cared- as
Their songs were hymns of enchantment,
In tune with love of nature at the rising of the sun -
The dawning of a new day was reason for celebration.
I do not know if the moon was full last night
The sun could rise this morning and
This world could cease to exist-I am lost inside a world of my own
Where I live inside the fortress of my thoughts,
Spoken words echo about my mind and
Inundate with fear, rage and terror-here inside the tenement of my delusions
I have been commanded by voices echoing about the chambers of my mind
To lock the door to actuality, and to toss its key to the wind outside-
The songs of the sparrows have evaded me and
I no longer care to witness the rising of the sun, or
The dawning of a new day, and have become quite a stranger to myself-
It doesn’t matter if the moon was full last night
And not only the stars are a million light years away- as seemingly are
Hopes and dreams for a promising future I had as a child-
I stare upward towards the ceiling counting
The stars that are a figment of my imagination-
Inside the world of my thoughts, dreams and apparitions
I am being inundated by a phantasmal though provocative meteor shower, and
Trapped inside hell’s brushfire that no rainstorm can extinguish;
It has been said that dancing beneath the full moon can bring about loss of sanity-
Hiding inside the safe haven of my fondest dreams
I could be found wishing upon one of those stars
Some millions of light years away-
While I have become a lost soul with no destiny-
Dancing beneath that fickle light of the moon, mistrustful of all intruders, I could be-
Hell’s brushfire has burnt down the bridge that connects veracity to unreality-
Even though it may always remain in question
To whether or not the moon has remained full past midnight as would be hidden behind
Clouds of apprehension, I can still
Wish upon those stars after the day the sun burns out-and perhaps some day
I may find hope, peace of mind and fortune as near as within my own back yard…

In This Bin

in this bin
i put
everything

pains, sorrows,
&
joys, happiness

my bin
and my own alone

like some mailbox
of my
emotions

this is a world
where
i am: open, close
mystery,
double talk
whisper

shout
angry, scream, howl,
wail,

this is where
i can be everything: a mocking bird, a werewolf, an angel,
devil,
crocodile, merman, worm, fish, butterfly
eagle
monkey, ghost, soul,
passionate body

fingers, hands, feet
lips

all the feelings and colors
of my mind

feel me, as i too feel you
what have i to gain
what have i to lose

you say, you think, words, words, and nothing but words,
no,
no,
do not reduce everything to simple terms of words
and letters
and syllables,

this is a field where i have sown the seeds of my self
and some flowers
begin to bloom here, and some fruits are ripe for the picking

i like you being the child who climbs
the tree where my fruits are sweet and ripe

i like you being the lady who comes along
and picks my flowers

i like you being the wind that helps my clouds
drift only to be alive
crossing the boundaries of space between
peaks of mountains

this is not a dustbin anymore, this is my house
this is my dwelling

there is a soft easy chair in my mind
a glass vase with a red rose
glazed with dew

like my tears, like my eyes that i am hiding
for you not to clearly see

this is not just a dustbin, this is now my home
come
come
come

make this your home, enter my door, follow me
in the labyrinths of my feelings
my hopes and dreams

come
come
come

take a seat, and have breakfast with
me
see the glass window opening to a view
of the pines and the green mountains

a little frost may blind us
but here we are, i have prepared you tea
and
sympathy and some stories about myself

listen, and be free, to tell your stories too,
the sun has just shone

and indeed, it is a very new day.

Kingdom Come

See the white light
The light within
Be your own disciple
Fan the sparks of will
For all of us waiting
Our kingdom has come

Rays of power shinning
Rays of magic fall
On the golden voice that speaks within us all
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come

Kingdom Come

Feel the white light
The light within
Yea it burns a fire that drives a man to win
For all of us waiting
Your kingdom will come

Kingdom Come

Words of power
Calling to us all
Holding us together while other kingdoms fall
No longer waiting
Our kingdom has come

Kingdom Come

Kingdom comming
Another kingdom falls
The rightful are waiting
But all are not rightful
Wait and receive the weight of the fall

Kingdom Come
