Pedring
when you said you were coming
the men have already prepared the boats
and the women
their food for the kids
when the clouds drift away and
comes the darker ones
the roads have become deserted
and the city as silent
as a cemetery
nevertheless they know when you come and rage
and everything has prepared for the worst
trees fell last night
the boulevard cracked
and engines of cars drowned
and then the rains fall
all eyes stare forming images
that eventually do not come true
i sleep.

These Lost, These Come At A Cost Women
I see these city lights and flashy cars
These beautiful women lost under stars
These daughters and sisters and mothers
These lost women
These come at a cost women
Given a glance then a dance
Given the means to live by the fiends of these beautiful women
Lost in a daze of green
A daze I've seen
Spotlights on these beautiful women
Eyes on these and cheers for these beautiful women
Lies in these and fears in these lost women
These come at a cost women
Show, bought and ready to go
At a price higher then they know
These women worth more then gold
Priceless
But still sold
Oh these lost women
Don't you know your beautiful
Not hot women
That your beautiful
Not meant to be bought women
Beauty needs to be taught in these women
Instead of this that is not
Left in them to rot
Oh these beautiful women
These I've seen
Women whos pupils are all green
Men whos eyes are gazed in between wide thighs
Silent cries eventually taking its toll
Night after night eventually breaking the soul
I see these city lights and flashy cars
These beautiful women lost under stars
These daughters and sisters and mothers
These lost women
These come at a cost women
Don't you know your beautiful
Not hot women
That you’re beautiful
Not meant to be bought women.

Idiot Summer
I walked home to the sun
I couldnt ride another one
I thought a lot along the lines
And Ive been fooled about all night
Wiped clean always by midnight
Wasnt it like an idiot summer...
Three, four peaks all I could see
In the morning its a hundred and ten degrees
But I like the goddamn heat
I lie awake half the night
Autumn is coming it seems like its in sight
All the autumn that you can see
All the autumn that you can see
Its growing darker like the trees
But if all the trees should fall
All the bugs would crawl in my sleep
And then its cold
Its growing darker like the trees
But if all the trees should fall
All the bugs would crawl in my sleep
And then its cold
Theres no telling I was so confused
I try but I cant help you choose
Tucson is so far away
I lie awake half the night
Autumn is coming it seems like its in sight
Wasnt it like an idiot summer...

Are You Ready?
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to climb another mountain
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to swim across the ocean
Are you ready?
Be prepared
To fill you plate
Be prepared
Dont hesitate
Be prepared
For a great big bust
Be prepared
To do what you must
Be prepared
To take a hit
Be prepared
To go for it
Be prepared
For a sneak attack
Be prepared
Just dont look back
They say, where theres a will theres a way
Weve heard, these are the things that they say
So.
Reach out for that big fat star
Stick to the groove
And go real far
Outrun the ones who steal the abar (? ? )
Are you ready?
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to blast into the future
Action boy now
Action girl now
Be prepared to rearrange the picture
Are you ready?

Deserted Sidewalks
As I walk along the roads in dead of night,
I see nothing and no one, save deserted sidewalks,
Where people used to laugh and talk
And play and walk, in times of day.
But now in times of night where I walk alone,
Save with my loyal trusted companion,
Who asks nothing more than to be with me,
And to smell the scents, that abound at night.
Far different from the smells that abound in day.
The night is silent, save for the slight swish of our clothing,
And the faint tinkle of our jewellery,
And these sounds are borne along on the slight night breeze,
Peculiar only to this time, and this dimension.
This time is ours, a freedom borne of space,
And the silent parked cars, that tell the tale,
Of others not so far away, that slumber now,
As we awake, and come alive to run with Energies,
That only we can see and hear.
For when daylight comes around once more,
And all those weary travellers return again,
To struggles only they can tell of,
But won't, for they believe this is their fate,
And silently, with faces straight as pokers,
Trudge their weary way through life, as it is to them.
But you and I, we know different, for we are snug,
In the arms of an Energy and a space,
That they as yet cannot access.
So we sleep, the sleep of inner knowledge, and wait once more,
For the circle to turn again, when we will walk the sidewalks,
So deserted, not to us, for we see what the other eye does not,
And the other ear cannot hear.
So we walk deserted sidewalks on our own for many a year.
And wait for the awakening of souls,
Who as yet know not they sleep.
And they slumber still.

Bring You Down To Hell
The demons are coming after you
In the night ready to fight
Always cruel with hate in their mind
Promise you that they will get you
You're trying to hide with fear in your eyes
Hoping that nobody see's you
If they should know where you are
I'm sure that they will torture you
I hope that you, you are prepared
Take all the weapons you can
If you are not ready to fight
I'll think that you'd better run
When you're walking in the night
You should always be prepared
They can strike right here right now
And bring you down to Hell
to Hell
You're running away with no place to stay
The demons can almost reach you
You hear that someone is shouting your name
You think for yourself what you should do
You're trying to hide with fear in your eyes
Hoping that nobody see's you
If they should know where you are
I'm sure that they will torture you
I hope that you, you are prepared
Take all the weapons you can
If you are not ready to fight
I'll think you'd better run
When you're walking in the night
You should always be prepared
They can strike right here right now
And bring you down to Hell
to Hell
When you're walking in the night
You should always be prepared
They can strike right here right now
And bring you down to Hell
I hope that you, you are prepared
Take all the weapons you can
If you are not ready to fight
I'll think you'd better run
When you're walking in the night
You should always be prepared
They can strike right here right now
And bring you down to Hell
to Hell

The Storm
The Storm is coming
The day when nothing will matter
When troubles will be gone and war will be history
The storm is coming
Make you are prepared
it will come with no warning.
No one will know the day of it destruction
The storm is coming
Feel it's wrath
Everything you do now will be meaningless
Everything sticks and nothing is forgotten
The day of judgement is at hand
The storm is coming
Have you taken heed
Have you changed your ways
Have seen the errors you have made
Have you heard the sound of pain you have caused
The storm is coming and those who don't take heed will fall.
The storm is coming
It will be unavoidable
Be prepared and be afraid

Home In Heaven
Thankfully, our home’s in Heaven, and this earth we just pass through,
On to a place where no one’s been, one special place for me and you.
Friend, our Lord, had said to us, before, to Heaven, Christ did depart,
In God and in Him, to place our trust, so not to have, a troubled heart.
Speaking to those, who by Grace, in Christ the Savior, we do believe,
He has prepared for us a place, that once in Heaven, we shall receive.
Friend, it is that place we long for, and one, our eyes have yet to see,
The one special place, from our Lord, where we will spend an eternity.
One far above this temporal earth, which we’ve come to know so well,
That is fashioned with eternal worth, and absent of the powers of Hell.
The City that Abraham looked for, which wasn’t upon this earthly sod,
A City built by Christ, the Lord, The Eternal City of our Lord and God.
A place prepared with the hands, of this earth’s Creator, Jesus Christ,
Who placed all the sea and lands, prepared us a home for eternal life.
An eternal place to be our very own, where there will be no more night,
Placed by Him, around His Throne; where Christ will be the Only Light.
As all this world, gets darker still, and you could use encouragement,
Why not seek out The Father’s will, and believe on The Son God sent.
He’ll give you Hope in Heaven above, when your life on earth is done,
All through that Gift, of God’s Love, Jesus Christ, God’s Eternal Son.
The White Woman At Sunset Boulevard
she was the woman who left me.
She hands me the back of her bones.
she does not bother looking anymore at the past.
she hates me. she detests
every word that i say.
she will not answer my call.
She says i am a liar and had always been lying to her.
The dirt in my arms are terrible, she says, these arms
that used to hold her too tightly that she cannot breathe
are broken branches of the rotten tree.
She walks away towards the dark side of the sunset boulevard, that place unreachable by the night lights. Beyond the hold of my arms, beyond the grasp of my lips.
she already loosened all the screws and bolts of the bicycle
that we used to ride together every afternoon on this sunset boulevard.
all the parts are scattered near the shore of the sea.
The waves reached them and they all get too rusty.
She does not talk to me anymore, this white woman at sunset boulevard.
She walks fast.
She runs.
Her eyes sharp, and flaming with anger against the rage of the dark,
away from the city lights, away from my lies, away from the
warmth of my whisper.
I am her wrath.
I am the source and cause of her anger.
Her pains, her sorrows for years and years when i left her
without leaving any word.
When my name was finally eaten by the waves of the sea in
sunset boulevard. When she drowned.
she left rushing like a storm towards another island.
she destroys houses and
fell the trees.
She goes away just like that, as quickly as suddenly
as a gnashing teeth of the cyclone.
I whispered her name to calm her down.
She hurriedly left.
She did not see that tears too that fell to the sand. They are mine. Salty, fresh tears. Hidden inside my bags for years. Twenty-five years of solitude.
More than that for my loneliness on an unknown island where i was stranded beyond my power. There was not a single boat to take me to her.
She did not
look back. She would not believe me.
But she is right.
My tears are not as salty as the whole sea that she swallowed when she drowned on that very day when i left her.
I have not
given her the reason. I have them ready from the bottom of my heart.
She tells her friends:
She does not want to be duped again. One of me, is enough. She is gone.
I happened to her once in her lifetime. She, is likewise.

Once by the Pacific
The shattered water made a misty din.
Great waves looked over others coming in,
And thought of doing something to the shore
That water never did to land before.
The clouds were low and hairy in the skies,
Like locks blown forward in the gleam of eyes.
You could not tell, and yet it looked as if
The shore was lucky in being backed by cliff,
The cliff in being backed by continent;
It looked as if a night of dark intent
Was coming, and not only a night, an age.
Someone had better be prepared for rage.
There would be more than ocean-water broken
Before God's last Put out the light was spoken.

A Tempered Tantrum Girl
Irene was her name,
Everyone knew about her strength
And we were nervously waiting for her...
We knew she was dangerous
And could cause tremendous damages
To our Cityscape...
We paid careful attention to details
Given to us by the weather's men
About her scaring approaching...
She was mad, mean and strong
And did not care
If we were children, old or young...
She was leaving her devastating traces behind
And New York City she was going to hit!
For human lives she got no regard
And only one mission she has in its mind...
From afar we heard her angered voice
And anxiously we got prepared
For an unwanted visitor to come...
The wind was carrying her message:
'I am coming' 'I am coming'
We had no other choice
But to get ready to face a naked truth...
The City's lights started blinking
Like a first sign of was coming...
We all suspected she was nearby
And got ready to face her fury...
A tremendous scaring sound
Vividly announced her presence
And we were left to the mercy of the Lord!
To taste the bitterness of the truth...
Rooftops flown away,
Trees knocked down to the streets
While neon signs dancing in Time Square
Like kites flying in the skies.
Felt was the pounding of the heavy rains
That almost drowned New York State!
New York came to standstill
But nevertheless, we all survived
With a few exceptions...
Now, it is time again to assess the damages,
Call the cleaning crews,
To restore services for subways and buses
And keep the city moving!
Today, only one thing remains to be said:
'Thank God, it could have been worst!
Love and Peace for always! ...

There to Hit Homeruns
At bat...
I'm not thinking of just getting to first base.
I am there to give it my all.
Not just there to play ball,
For thrills.
At bat...
I'm not thinking of just getting to first base,
To stare at faces!
At bat...
I'm there to hit homeruns.
And that's that!
In any season...
I come prepared.
Whether or not I foul out.
I come prepared...
At bat...
To hit homeruns!
'And...
You're OUT! '
Well...
At least I do come prepared.

Don't consider the wealth is eternal!
While the wife feeds
the husband, with love and desire,
the different types of foods
prepared with six tastes;
And he takes only one handful,
leaving the rest untouched,
from the quantity of food prepared,
the remaining food is wasted;
However rich,
he is likely to become poor one day
and beg for food in some other place,
Hence don't consider the wealth is eternal!
(naalatiyaar - aRaththuppaal - selvam nilaiyaamai 1)
Hence don't waste food
and share it with everybody,
Utilise your wealth
for charity!

Drawing-Room
I wanted to open the drawing-room door,
Looking so ordinary and collected;
Knowing my business, I ran in and collided
Running into clouds forming above the City.
I went on and on, but alas I knew the battering
Of the ball, the living in each other.
Spectacular images ran into my watery head,
Why fly as an outcast? Why have flight?
One could not laugh so much as heaven,
Exquisite moments were tampered.
Sitting down by me, the images of clouds
Were produced fortnightly.

Be Prepared (Fun Poem 93)
Be prepared; be prepared,
that statement does not apply
to anyone in the British Government.
They are never prepared
except for grabbing taxes;
they are prepared for that, yes.
To keep the country running,
they are never prepared for that.
A couple of inches of snow
and they are running around like headless chickens
wondering just what to do.
They ignore the weather warnings
and end up with egg on their faces.
It is obvious they were never in the Boy Scouts.
Now the Scouts are always prepared.
They keep a condom in their wallet
in case any frisky Girl Guide should pass their way.
Unlike the British Government
who has to apologise for their lack of for-thought,
when they knew it would snow.

The Fall (an Extension) ....
when i fall
this i must tell you
i am hurt
i will be really hurt
but don't come near me
and insult me with
your help or
sympathy
i am complete and
more self-sufficient than you
i am prepared
and had long prepared for this fall
my own causing
my own fault
my own way of surrendering to
God
and when it is your time to fall too
i will just watch
because i have suffered the same
because it must happen
because you know always what to do too
because you are
by now
stronger than me.

If You're Going To The Ball At All
If you're going to the ball at all,
Be prepared to be the topic of the week.
And,
Be the one prepared to leave...
Jaws dropped.
And people awed.
If you want to be the one at the ball,
To set the record straight and hear the boos...
You boo back at the ones doing it to you.
'Cause you are too far out in space.
Too ahead of time and first place in the race.
And you're too much! Too soon...
Delivering a taste people have yet to crave.
And too amazing to be dismissed as the next rage.
If you're going to the ball at all,
Be prepared to be the topic of the week.
And,
Be the one prepared to leave...
Jaws dropped.
And people awed by your technique that will be copied.
