The Force that Through the Green Fuse Drives the Flower
The force that through the green fuse drives the flower
Drives my green age; that blasts the roots of trees
Is my destroyer.
And I am dumb to tell the crooked rose
My youth is bent by the same wintry fever.
The force that drives the water through the rocks
Drives my red blood; that dries the mouthing streams
Turns mine to wax.

Anger And Self-denial
something arrives
it is harsh and you do not recognize it
it exists but your mind refuses
to acknowledge it
this is self-denial and you tend to take
this harsh thing too lightly
upon a bottle of beer
and some puffs of Marlboro cigarettes
the harsh thing sticks to your skin
like a leech and sucks your blood
and drained
you fall into an unconsciousness
self-denial falls like
a stone to a house of dominoes
causing this pandemonium
of your guts
then comes anger
you scatter all your parts on the highway
you let the trucks run over you
whatever is left
everything shatters
and you scream to the continents of the world
to no avail
of course
there is this angel of pity
hovering over your soul
bringing you the light of the brightest day
of your life
you stretch your hand and there is this
new world before your eyes
acceptance, the tranquility after the chaos,

Lovebog I
Love has no truer likeness than a bog
dissembling with a superficial sheen
the thirsty come to sip-alas, instead
a greater thirst, pre-empting, drinks them in.
Lightly they descend from proven banks
lured by the waters undulating smile
'my lap is luscious and my bed is warm-
here you may lay and slake your thirst awhile'.
But straightaway, the floor begins to boil
agitato, such is the water's taste
the mire ups and claps them to the knees
and uncontented, sucks them to the waist.
Swim then who can, them that must sink must-
oh terrified cries and desperate looks to shoreward
the wily water sucks them to the jaws
exacting three steps down for one step forward.
In at the mouth, in at the ears it pours
down the throat the caramel river flows-
certain tubers manacle their heels
as over their heads the guileful waters close.

A Pink Dream
Rio sunrise sucking on a straw
I rub my head and stagger out the door
And head into the bright new beautiful day
And the way she pulls me in
Sucks my breath away i asked her for some time
And she just made me it
I asked her maybe why?
And she just gave me it never smile
Never stare
She doesn't seem to care at all
Never cry
Never scream
She doesn't really seem to need me at all
Fourteen weeks i stay away from home
A hundred days a part of me unknown
Apart in pink and perfect moments play
And as a wonder of the world
She sucks my breath away
I asked her for some time
