challenged to be
original
i quit. i am not
original i am a xerox
copy of
another mind
i am a duplicate
of another carbon
copy
i am an imprint
of another zealousness
i use other people's words
i listen to
every syllable
and they all stay
inside my heart
like decanted
mass from acetic acid
from coconut
wine.
i am not original
i look at myself
in the mirror
i am not original
but i put on a smile
i am too
one kind of
a handsome
copycat.

An original artist is unable to copy. So he has only to copy in order to be original.

To tell something original.
She says, you are not original in what you are telling me
Any janitor in your office can always say that seeing that
It is different. I am original in this. I am feeling something.
I am original in this feeling and you do not feel it that way I see these things.
I am leaving you. It is the first time I am feeling this. It is this first time
That I am telling you. I am original. I have long searched what words to use
To tell something original.

Asexual
Everything is a carbon copy
Squeezing-out of the original
Take that brunet, transsexual,
Nonchalantly-surveying, but genial
All fur coat and no knickers so trashy.
Longing to be a female
Might as well of been born an Airedale
Such legs as hers were meant to be female.
Such analytical tales of a tawdry life:
Could only come from; a misused, housewife.
If ever she were to become a genuine angel.
Wouldn't she then wish to be a male?
Every spore in every cell with less regale
Of cause we were all once asexual:
So to be without sin; truly is to be original.

Vandertop
Some things are original as they are and,
They don't need a copy;
But everything is possible in this life,
And i am Vandertop in the land of your muse.
I could be your hero and your lover,
For the salt melts the ice and the sand holds the feet;
And like the origin of your muse with your original love.

No Poem Is An Original
No poem is an original
everyone who writes
poetry thinks their poem
was an original, it just so
happens that their poem just
surfaced to the top
of their mind first, so they
were able to write it.
Everyone has love, hate
compassion buried deep
in their soul.
Poets are able to bring
all of this to the surface,
to construct, add the words,
but it is not an original
idea, for the poet because
they wrote it now, it
becomes an original for them.
Who has not heard a song,
read a poem, story or book,
seen a movie and said,
to themselves, hey I had
that same idea.
Only thing is, someone else
brought it to the surface
of the mind, and wrote it first.
Even this poem I'm writing
now is not an original
someone out there
has this idea buried
deep in their soul.
So if you have an idea
for a poem, get busy
write it, don't wait,
or you won't write an original
start today,
don't delay.

An original something, dear maid, you would wish me to write; but how shall I begin? For I'm sure I have not original in me, Excepting Original Sin.

Copies are different originals
I take after my father but not his original.
I take after my brother but not his original.
Replicas are themselves original.

No thought is original
Some are original, some inspired,
Some copied, some reproduced,
Some modified or expanded
The original itself is the seed
Of one’s impression of events.
Nothing is original.
New born is not the newborn.
It is the extension of the fused gametes.

Being Original
BEING ORIGINAL
Of course no one wants to be a fake
A copycat
Not that one has no mind of his own
A perspective
Or a way of seeing things the way one sees
Oneself
Or the other or the world out there
The eyes have long seen
The ears have long heard
Something different something delicate
When so young and so innocent
He kept telling them about the sound
And image of what he is
They laughed
It is something peculiar
Not the way they were brought up
All of them
He is original. They laughed. They branded
Him a name he never liked.
He likes himself. But he cannot fit in.
There is so much pain.
He becomes an attractive copycat.
Nice name. Nice belonging.
Perfect camaraderie. Nothing seemingly wrong.
The pain gets deeper. Like a hole inside his head
A hollowness in his heart.
It is dark. It is late now.
They love him. But he wants to die.
They are wrong. It is not the dark that blinds.
It is too much light. Too many.

A replica too is original
Maybe he takes after his father.
He cannot for that be his father.
The replica resembles the original
And is original from the original.
Don’t brand any as copied

Universal Human
(*original in Telugu by Papineni SivaSankar)
No, not physically challenged
But he, who challenged physics
He who emerged victor
Over the paralyzing ‘motor neuron’
With his intellectual work-out
He who stabilized
The powdered sounds of speech
With the speech-synthesizer
He who instilled confidence
In all those challenged
With his brawny arms of wisdom
He’s a swimmer par excellence
In the cosmic oceans
With limbs paralyzed
Performs aerobics in the cavern of time
He swings joyfully
On the threads of galaxies
Steadfast in his belief
That the universe is eternal
He went on to define a designer-universe
Denying entry even to the original designer
No, he isn’t physically-challenged
He is Mr. Intellectual-handsome

Poem about Poetry - Originality
son asks what
it means to be original
and i say it is when you learn
to be different in an artistic way
piercing ears to wear rings
binding your feet for beauty
putting paint onto paper
to get people think you're insane
but to respect you
two hundred years from now
eyeing your masterpieces
ridiculing their parents
for not having a piece of you
that bright talent of you
that you crawl all over to exhibit
gripping whether you are original
or just plane insane
and always throwing that question
what it means to be original, unique
digging words and graves
for an answer

I'm Goona Copy
I’m surely gonna copy,
Be it poem, DVD or floppy,
And win Nobel Prize and trophy.
I will copy poets all
Whether they are big or small
Ya! No one can make me stop
Till I scale a fame’s highest top.
At the beginning of age
When God made men in his own image
He started this “Plagiarist” trend
Which I am not gonna end.
And what is creativity?
If not an ability to hide
a source of theft
with impunity.
When there is nothing
original under the sun,
Why should I copy not
and deprive myself of fun.
So I’ll copy them word by word
be they Pablo, Shakespeare or Wordsworth.
I’ll copy them from morn to evening
And would excel HITESH and Kipling.
Can you prove, they were not plagiarist,
And had not copy from some poet’s list.
You can inform FBI, KGB or CIA,
But I won’t stop my wanton ways.
And I will copy without shame,
Till I earn big name and fame.
I will copy till people start copying me,
And then and then only I will
give up this vice with glee.: -)

Copies
Duplicate, triplicate, quadruplicate!
I still have the original message to you all;
For i have created three works to satisfy my muse.
My breasts are very small in size,
But you will love me for what i am;
And like making a woman pregnant at the right time,
However, this original message is for you only.
The words from a wise man's mouth are very precious!
And wisdom gives light to those who have it;
So keep the first 10 cents from your Dollar to the Creator,
And the second 10 cents to the Bank!
Then enjoy the rest on the days ahead of you;
For, i am at the Donkey Island with my love.
Copies!
With many of them in this world to respect my muse;
But i am a woman and i need love from you,
Because, i do have the original message to satisfy all the copies around!
And, at the end of the day, be very wise to understand my muse.

The Interpretation Of The New More Elaborate Story
To be read is to be interpreted.
By someone, somewhere.
With glassy eyes they do stare and compare.
A comparison can sometimes be seen as a disrespect in manner of speaking.
Better yet impersonating it with your own thoughts, with your own words, your own feelings could cause some to become enraged.
But isn't that what writing is?
An inspiration.
Shouldn't that make original writer proud.
Original being not as original as one thinks.
For they also got it from somewhere.
Words aren't just strung together and make sense.
If they were we would all do it.
An artist must first see something visually to paint a picture.
But how did he learn how to paint in the first place?
He started out by mimicking someone else.
Then he found his own technique.
His own style completely unique.
