Once, if memory serves me well, life was a banquet where every wine flowed and every heart revealed itself.
once
in that banquet table i drink
and got drunk and danced so wildly
and exposed
my nudity, and people laughed at me
and said: there you are
you are not like us
you are too tiny like a gnat
and stinking like
a glut
i slept that night and they all left me
that morning i gathered my shirt and brief and pants
combed my hair with my fingers and cleaned myself with my own tongue
like a cat with my paw
i gathered all the pieces all the days of my life
and began assembling my parts
alone because they all left me because they all find me ugly
and disgusting
and then i left the place and searched for home
far i have walked and traveled
and never rested
only to find that everything is just within the reach of my own hands
this heart this mind this self
who else? but me, this love this hurt
this peace
the rest are but appendices
and must be discarded.
now life is a private show
even if you cry alone, your tears are still yours
salty, but not bitter
wet but still gleaming.

My Valentines
This valentines day stricly broken up
for my heart has cried enough
the broken pieces left out to bleed
and the bitter strength did not succeed
for this valentine is only a card
cut out by a single heart
only to show you how much it hurt
for it to simply be torn apart
my heart has been cut too many times to count
pieces given away to my valentines
as if these pieces enables a spell
put on me to control my loveless crimes
all pieces have been given away
thrown away for very shown sharp
causing them to so called bleed, to hurt
even if from my love filled heart
for now they are gone spread out for all too see
my hearts in pieces now cried from tears
now the love is no longer in me
and my thoughts no longer conquer these fears
i have no love left
no heart left
only tears left
only hope left
not even a valentine

I Need to Come Back Home
Home is where the heart is.
That is what they say.
Home is where the heart is.
So let me find my way
back to you.
I've wandered much too long,
seen a lot of sights,
drifted like a boat
'til darkness filled my nights
I've seen too many people
everywhere I've been.
And not one face I've seen
can replace the love I'm in.
*** So I need to come back home to the face I left behind.
I need to come back home to the place I left behind.
I need to come back home and find you once again
and let my wandering end.
Piano interlude
I've searched each place I've gone
never could sit tight.
Left my tracks behind
'til darkness filled my mind.
Guess I can't replace you.
Gotta journey back to you
swallow up my pride.
REPEAT ***
Home is where the heart is.
That is what I say.
Home is where the heart is
So let me find my way
back to you.

The Letters
i had a problem on my mind,
the answer to which was hard to find.
i tossed and turned throughout the night
and a knot in my stomach, which i could not fight.
i layed in bed, just abiding my time
waiting for daylight to arrive.
morning finally did come, sleep i had gotten some.
i got up out of bed, picked up the letter
that yesterday i had read.
there it was plain as day.
'sweetheart i love you, but i can't stay.
i must find what i am destined to do.
even if i must hurt my family and you.
i do not want to have a regret on my mind
because i did'nt get up to try.
so i leave you with my heart in hand
it was'nt something that i had planned.
i know that it will hurt my family and you
for i am going through the same hurt too.
you showed me all the beauties in the world
and i grew just like a pearl, but just like a pearl
i have to be shown and admired, and other
hearts, to be set on fire.
so i leave with tears in my eyes, and i must abide my time.
'this is the letter that i had read.'
and my heart was torn and bled.
weeks went by without a word, and to her family
she was not heard.
then i received a letter today, and in it she did say:
i searched the big cities and the towns
but the love i had gotten from all of you, was not to be found.
i did find something that touched my heart
and in me, has become a big part.
the love of a blind child, who was born without sight
who touched my heart with so much might.
he touched my face with his hands, and pulled them back right away
and with that he did say:
i am blind and i can not see, but i feel so much
pain etched in your face, and you left loved
ones without a trace.
you left loved ones with your heart in your hands
and it's something that they can not understand.
you left in search of something that you had all along
and that was a place that you could belong.
i survive because of the love that is shown
and eyes i do not need to see, something that may be hurting me.
if you are searching for something more
then go help the NEEDY AND POOR.
they need love and comfort too, and they belong to me and you.
i turned from the child and AGAIN ran away.
then that night to the LORD i cried and prayed.
when i fell asleep that night, in my dream
all of you were in plain sight.
all of you were beckoning me home, and your broken
hearts were shown.
so i ask you on bended knees, help me with what i've seen.
help me to help the poor, for this is my destiny
of which i'm sure.
she came home and we did marry, and now my baby she carries.
we are helping all in need, for in her
GOD did plant the seed.

The Downward Spiral
We met by chance in a noisy low lit place,
the music was loud and I couldn't see a face.
We were quiet types but we hit it off straight away,
you seemed intrigued by what I had to say.
You came home with me and stayed awhile,
but then you left with a wave and a smile.
The next morning was just like any other day,
shower, breakfast, and a grindstone for pay.
For the next few days you never entered my thoughts
but then one night I drunk more than I ought.
You emerged from the shadows and we met again,
it was then I realised that we both felt the same.
You were pleased to see me and I to see you,
and there was no doubt what we should do.
We slept together and when I awoke you'd gone,
leaving me with little to think upon.
Throughout the day I began to feel funny inside,
a feeling like love that wouldn't subside.
I thought that you and I were meant to be,
and I wanted you to be a part of me.
After knocking off work I got changed and went out,
I knew I would find you somewhere about.
You were at the place where we met before,
but how you knew I'd be there I wasn't sure.
We resumed to where were the previous night,
but some how we got drawn into a bar-room fight.
I can't remember what was actually said or why,
but I do know that I had a massive black eye.
The very next evening we met up once more
and again people were fighting on the bar-room floor.
This time the police came and took us all away
and put us in a cell until the light of day.
I must have been sleeping when you got released,
you left me to face a charge of disturbing the peace.
You'd changed my life and I had no money to spend,
I couldn't go on like this, but I could see no end.
Your feelings for me will always be the same,
but you're not capable of suffering pain.
The time of the day has no effect on you,
you always look the same whatever you do.
Now I've lost my job and my rent is way overdue,
and all of this is down to you.
Please get out of my life I don't need you anymore!
No! please, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, I have to score! !

Separate Ways
(words & music by west - mainegra)
I see a change is coming to our lives
Its not the same as it used to be
And its not too late to realise our mistake
Were just not right for each other
Love has slipped away left us only friends
We almost seem like strangers
All thats left between us are the memories we shared
Of times we thought we cared for each other
Theres nothing left to do but go our separate ways
And pick up all the pieces left behind us
And maybe someday, somewhere along the way
Another love will find us
Some day when shes older, maybe she will understand
Why her mom and dad are not together
The tears that she will cry when I have to say goodbye
Will tear at my heart forever
Theres nothing left to do but go our separate ways
And pick up all the pieces left behind us
And maybe someday, somewhere along the way
Another love will find us

Go Back to the Place You Belong
Tired of problems in life
He decided to move out of
Everybody’s sight
Left his home
For an unknown place
Free of all the troubles
He walked from morning to dusk
Then he saw bright lights
Reaching nearer
He saw fire blazing
Everybody Trying
To save their lives
He ran from there
Spent the night in the forest
In the morning
Saw a village nearby
Reaching there
Didn’t see any sign of life
Dead people all around
Disease and hunger
Had taken their toll
He ran from there
To find a better place
On his journey he met a saint
He asked him to suggest a place
Where he could find
Peace and solace
The saint smiled and said to him
Peace and turmoil are side by side
It’s your attitude
That gives you peace and anger
Go back to the place you belong
Positive attitude
Shall make all the difference
You shall become a happy man

Im so lost without You
All I see is continous darkness,
As though light was you,
What am I without you,
You left me hanging,
Yes when I needed you most,
I was so wrong to let go,
Yet so right to understand
Im thinking of you honey,
Nothing can be done I know,
Today is blameless for this,
Neither is yesterday,
I carry the pain of my wrongs,
The hugs are fading on and on,
The kisses becoming meaningless
Im so lost without you
My pride wont let me cry before you,
But alone I shed the tears my love,
Im so lost without you,
You broke my heart into tiny particles,
With those pieces I love you the same,
I look at the doors you left open,
Hoping in my heart,
Your foot might step again,
Im so lost without you
Im tormented and torn apart,
Tortured and broken into pieces,
The hours i wanted you more,
The days i needed you the most,
The same moment you walked away,
Im so lost without you
Find me again my lost hope,
Love me again my lost love

My Heart Is Not My Own
Oh,oh, yeah,
Oh yeah,
Underneath it all was everything I did not say,
All the scenes Ive pulled was me just trying to find my way,
Just putting on a show, but in the light of day,
I see it all, its crystal clear, what I needed most
Was waiting all along right here
Baby my love goes on,
Choices I made were wrong,
You are where I belong,
Youre all Ive got, my heart is not my own.
Not my own
Almost gave up hope of ever finding peace of mind,
Almost lost my soul, seeking what I could not find.
Chasing things I knew could never satisfy my heart,
I left my heart, I left my life, I left my senses
And I drove all night
Baby my love goes on,
Choices I made were wrong,
You are where I belong,
Youre all Ive got, my heart is not my own.
Not my own
I left my home, I left my life, I left my senses
And I drove all night,
I see it now, its crystal clear, what I needed most
Was right here, right here
Baby my love goes on,
Choices I made were wrong,
You are where I belong,
Youre all Ive got, my heart is not my own
Baby my love goes on
Choices I made were wrong,
You are where I belong,
Youre all Ive got, my heart is not my own.
Baby, baby, yeah baby..... (fade)

FREEDOM- [new edit]
once a Gnat came down from the top
to drink of what remained in the cup
kid for having fun, just blocked her way
and the Gnat saw her, future is gray
saw herself in trap, so she left the food
though the tasting of, food was pretty good
top a hand and left, and right and down glass
thirsty and madly, she remembered her last
flight, and hopefully was looking for a hole
that through it she, could again reach home
beat the cup wall so, many times with head
finally she knocked down, and then she bled...
food was so tasty, dear was life of her
but the FREEDOM, was what she wished there

Our Tree House
As children, my dearest friend and
I began planning to build a tree
house. We searched until we
finially found the perfect tree.
Along with our brothers, we began
to gather wood, and pieces of
fragments for the roof. When all
the material was gathered, the
construction began.
We worked day after day, endlessly
until we saw the tree house coming
together. Little by little it took
shape. At last it was time for the
curtains to be hung. Our lovely dish
towels were hung from tree limbs.
Now for the furniture. Old boards
were nailed together for our chairs.
Little pieces of cloth attached for
the covers. We were getting ready to
move in. In our childish eyes, it
was so beautiful.
So many happy hours were spent there.
Every afternoon when we arrived home
from school, we met at our tree house.
We talked, laughed, whispered secrets.
Enjoyed our tea parties, and the time
spent there.
One summer afternoon, sad news arrived.
My friend was moving to another city,
far away.Leaving me and the tree house
behind. Inside I cried. Suddenly I
was alone. Now it seemed so big and
lonely. Before so small and full of
life.
As we walked away that hot summer
afternoon so long ago, holding hands.
we knew life for us would never be
the same. We made a pledge to each
other and set a date someday we would
return.
Our tree house remained, but started
looking old and battered from the
storms of life.I no longer went
there, as I also moved on to another
city. Before leaving I returned to
our childhood fantasy, saddened and
whispered goodby. Walked away with
tear filled eyes.Promising to return
someday.
The years have flown by, and today
I am returning to the place I so
loved as a child. Looking at the
house old and worn. yet so lovely
and inviting.
Climbing the broken ladder, I went
inside. Our curtains were tattered
but still remain. Side by side our
dolls were sleeping in their tiny
beds. On the table a tiny tea set.
Attached to my friends doll a note
reading.
DEAR HEATHER;
I cannot attend our tea party today,
as we planned.Someday we will meet
at the big tree house in the sky.
There we will drink our tea from
from golden goblets. I am here now,
setting the table, and preparing
the tea for our party, waiting
to welcome your arrival
Your childhood friend, with love

Heart Of My Own
I cant go near the scent of flowers.
I cant look at the sky.
I cant turn on the radio
And not cry.
I wont watch lovers holding hands
Or the sun sinking down.
I cant look at a single thing in this town.
You were playing a game and i,
I lost count of the days and the nights.
Do you know that you were my life?
Im tryin hard to find all thats left of me,
Now that you left me alone.
Tired of runnin away from your memory.
I need a heart of my own.
I have looked through every single book,
Torn through every poem,
Heard the words of every voice
That Ive known.
How can you have such a hold on me,
When youve already let go?
You must have more power than I know.
Woah.
You were playing a game and i,
I lost count of the days and the nights.
Oh, did you know that you were my life? !
Im tryin hard to find all thats left of me,
Now that you left me alone,
Im tired of runnin away from your memory.
I need a heart of my own.
You gave me heaven and showed me how to fly,
Then laughed when I fell from the sky, yeah!
[guitar interlude]
Tired of runnin away from your memory.
I need a heart of my own.
Im tryin hard to find all thats left of me,
Now that you left me alone,
Im tired of runnin away from your memory.
I need a heart of my own.

Back In Time
Last night; I went back in time
To see my wife if we never had met
I saw my ways, and my upcoming days
And my soul, was full of regret.
She wasn't there, but was in my prayer
As I surveyed the new life that I lived
And I walked alone, in my empty home
As my love for her I couldn't give.
I looked for her, and she couldn't be found
Last night when I went back in time,
So I searched her world, left nothing unfurled
But for her, nothing about her could I find.
So without me she took another path
Because then we had never met
But I stayed on that road, until I died old
Because no other woman in my heart would I let.
Then I had my thought when I awoke from my dream
And my woman she couldn't be found
So I closed my eyes and I sat down to cry
As my world was flipped upside down.
I remember now that she had left me
To be in the arms of another man
She was my love my life, my woman my wife
Now she's holding another mans heart and hand.
Why she left me; GOD will only know
But the love I felt once will never be mine,
I did nothing wrong, just loved her to strong,
Now again I wish, to go back in time.

No Apologies
Lately I've been too tired to be that man I used to be.
Overwhelmed and uninspired does it matter that no one's listening.
I've looked to find my place, I've searched to see my purpose served
but every where that I can see people getting what they don't deserve.
Cause I am what I am, I could change it all but never me.
It's the pride of a foolish man but I live my life with no apologies.
Convince the world I'm crazy, in truth maybe I am.
But I've cut my baggage loose I shed my skin I'm a better man.
No one left to pull me under no one left to drag me down.
Standing on my own two feet I find the strength to stand my ground.
I once dwelled on all the things in life I never had,
I obsessed on my injustices until it drove me mad,
and all that hatred that I felt I didn't understand.
Was everything that held me down and kept me a bitter man.

A little of me
A little of me I left in mother’s womb
A little I left in her heart
And now that’s gone with her in the tomb
I feel it’s no more my part!
A little of me I planted in dad
A little I left in his eyes
I wonder now if I ever had
What’s gone when he closed his eyes!
A little of me I left in first love
A little I left in her mind
Flew away with time that little dove
With what I’ll never again find!
A disintegrated me is what I’m now
With so many pieces lost on the way
But truly I know, I can avow
A little would survive and stay!

Eternal Love I'll never know
Your body lays in the coffin stiff as a board. I only knew you for a glimmer of time.
I heard you passed away the other day, my heart sank, like the day you left me.
Before you were gone from my life, now you are gone from this world.
I sit here and wonder where your spirit is floating now. I hope it will be pleasant and in a place I would recognize. A place where I could maybe wander and find you someday.
Your beautiful white face, that use to be caressed by the love of our Sun, is expressionless.
Just like the day you crushed my hopes and dreams of being with you.
Sometimes I feel like I've let those days go, and some days I don't feel alone.
Today I'm with someone new, years have passed us by, but I feel dead to her and life on the inside.
Maybe it's in my mind, so determined to be with you, the only one I let myself love.
Or maybe it's just a simple fear and I don't have enough courage to just let go.
This bond I feel for you is beautiful yet so sadistic. It has controlled me ever since that day, and I'm not sure how to help myself. Everything I look at now lacks color and is seen in black and white.
The angels are flying over my head, I'm lying here thinking of you in bed.
Your dark brown hair is spread through my finger tips, I can feel every crevice in your lips as I lean in to mend them with mine.
And now your dead...I don't know where you have gone, but search for me okay? Like I have searched for you. I'll know when you return, I'll know when you are there. If I could breathe the breath of life back into your lungs, I would. If I could give life back to what we had I would try. Because is those short moments, I've felt more alive then all these twenty five years.
You'll never find someone like me again, not ever. I know everyone says that when they are left standing in the dust, but this time it is true. I never had a human choice, but as if a puppet master above my head pulled a string, and my heart loved you.
But be still now my love, be at peace and rest because I have done all the wandering and anguish for the both of us for so long. I look forward to the day I see you, and my heart skips a beat one more time.
Because in that moment I'm jolted back to life, and I know everything is going to be fine.
And in that instant it's gone, it hurts me to feel eternal love I'll never know.

When you came
You came.
And you hurt me.
And you abused me.
You raped me.
You came
You laughed at me
You made me do things
I didnt want to do.
You came
You made me feel.
What shit was like.
How hurt feels.
What pain feels like.
You came
And you opened my eyes.
To a world of pain
A world of hurt.
A world of abuse.
Then you left
But you havent left my head.
I remember it all.
I cant forget.
I cant forget your face of evil
You twisted vile look.
You shitty voice
And your vile disgusting smell.
You left me with the ruins
In ruins of what you did
In tatters and shreads.
You left me with
Alake of tears
Alife of torment
And emotional scars.
You left me
Laughter that was not mine
God how hate you
Your out of my life now
But your in my head.
In my past
and in my dreams
And nightmares.
Why wont you fuckoff
out of my head?
Please take the lauhter away

Journey In No Man's Land
Came a long way, with
hope of finding you.
Left alone, live to strive.
appears to be far away, though not
rested a while, forgot what I came for,
seen as a left with feelings of..
hoping to find a way out.
May he take and spare me
but altogether opposed my heart
and lead to a way to find you.
Felt tremendous happy, with others
to think of a unvictorious journey.
All I know, Rest is with me.
All I know, Rest is with me!
Am I ought to be forgotten? '

Satisfied Mind
Many more miles were behind him
Than he had left to go
Closing in upon that last one
We all must walk alone
It's the one across the end of the line
So we held on and we told stories
Of the good and bad in all
Of the power and the glory
And the lonely days that crawled
And he said heaven holds true love
And a satisfied mind.
He said I ain't afraid of dying
Cause I know there's something worse
When you have to see your reason for living go first
And you get left behind
Some can't think of nothing better
Than to live this life forever
I never wanted no more than was mine
And to lay down someday and go home
With a satisfied mind
He said don't look into the darkness
If you want to see true black
Look into a morning's brightness
When love ain't coming back
And you will find right there a darkness that blinds
And don't think wealth is ever having
All you want all to yourself
It is found when you are giving
What you have to someone else
The only difference in the rich and the poor
Is a satisfied mind
And one light began to fade
As one grew brighter
And he said I ain't afraid of dying
Cause I know there's something worse
When you have to see your reason for living go first
And you get left behind
Some can't think of nothing better
Than to live this life forever
I never wanted no more than was mine
And to lay down someday and go home
Let me lay down someday and go home
With a satisfied mind

Teachers
I met a woman long ago
Her hair the black that black can go
Are you a teacher of the heart
Soft she answered no.
I met a girl across the sea
Her hair the gold that gold can be
Are you a teacher of the heart
Yes but not for thee.
I met a man who lost his mind
In some lost place I had to find
Follow me the wise man said
But he walked behind.
I walked into a hospital
Where none was sick and none was well
When at night the nurses left
I could not walk at all.
Morning came
And then came noon
Dinner time the scalpel blade
Lay beside my silver spoon
Some girls wander by mistake
Into the mess that scalpels make
Are you the teachers of my heart
We teach old hearts to break.
One morning I woke up alone
The hospital, the nurses gone
Have I carved enough, my lord
Child, you are bone.
I ate and ate and ate,
No, I did not miss a plate
Well, how much do these suppers cost
Well take it out in hate.
I spent my hatred every place
On every work on every face
Someone gave me wishes
And I wished for an embrace.
Several girls embraced me,
Then I was embraced by men
Is my passion perfect
No, do it once again.
I was handsome, I was strong
I knew the words of every song
Did my singing please you
No, the words you sang were wrong.
Who is it whom I address
Who takes down what I confess
Are you the teachers of my heart
We teach old hearts to rest.
Well, teachers are my lessons done
I cannot do another one
They laughed and laughed and said
Well, child are your lessons done.
Are your lessons done
Are your lessons done.

Left Alone
Billie holiday / mal waldron
Wheres the love thats made to fill my heart?
Wheres the one from whom Ill never part?
First they hurt me, then desert me
Im left alone, all alone
Theres no house that I can call my home
Theres no place from which Ill never roam
Town or city, its a pity
Im left alone, all alone
Seek and find they always say
But up to now its not that way
Maybe fate has let him pass me by
Or perhaps well meet before I die
Hearts will open, but until then
Im left alone, all alone
