On Her 59th Birthday
she was the first to gift
me a brown sweat shirt when
i had my 6th birthday
and i could not really forget that
now on her 59th birthday
she took charge of everything
down to the last detail of the flower
that gives accent to the
center table to the cake's flavor
and the ginger slices that
go with her fish fillet
she is the bread winner of the family
her husband is weak and
good for nothing
what can we do? we must love what
she loves
because we love her too.
time is like a slimy fish
it swims inside our hearts
eluding the hands that
want to catch it
we were talking about
another sister who is sick
with no one
in the hospital
there were other talks
whatever
i did not pay attention anymore
i have my own
version of insecurities
and i do not wish to tack
it on their piles.
we said goodbye
the night was deep and the
longing continues
deeper than before

What Is Really The Gift You Give Me On My Birthday?
what you hand is a box with a reb ribbon
you say it is your gift on my birthday
and i open it
it is an orange cake
with sweet mango slices as toppings
and a lone cherry on top of
a mound of chocolate
and some green candles
telling me my exact age
and this matchstick
to light the wicks
the cake is on the table
and i stand right there surrounded
by all of you
singing the birthday song
and the time comes for my
making a wish and the blowing
of the little flames of my age
after the party you all live one by
one like stars fading at dawn
and i am left alone with all
the litters and the laughters
that stick on the walls and
curtain and the giggles that
spill on the table cloth
the gift is not the box
it is not the cake it is not the cherry
it is not the little green candles
that speak of my age
it is not the flame because i
blow them all
it is not even the wish that i make
for myself because they are all mine
secretly seeping in the crevices of my cranium
what is the gift really that you give me on my birthday
i know it and you know it
how can we not tell each other sometime?

Happy Birthday
You know it doesnt make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense
At a day in your celebration
cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you
And Im sure you would agree
It couldnt fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party on the day you came to be
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
I just never understood
How a man who died for good
Could not have a day that would
Be set aside for his recognition
Because it should never be
Just because some cannot see
The dream as clear as he
That they should make it become an illusion
And we all know everything
That he stood for time will bring
For in peace our hearts will sing
Thanks to martin luther king
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Why has there never been a holiday
Where peace is celebrated
All throughout the world
The time is overdue
For people like me and you
Who know the way to truth
Is love and unity to all gods children
It should never be a great event
And the whole day should be spent
In full remembrance
Of those who lived and died for the oneness of all people
So let us all begin
We know that love can win
Let it out dont hold it in
Sing it loud as you can
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday
Ooh yeah
Happy birthday...
We know the key to unify all people
Is in the dream that you had so long ago
That lives in all of the hearts of people
That believe in unity
Well make the dream become a reality
I know we will
Because our hearts tell us so

Swedish Fish
Green or red, goodnight, remember
Green is best of all the flavours
Go ahead, its only water
I love my swedish fish
I love my swedish fish
I love my swedish fish
Hes my secret wish
Talk to me, I need attention
Tell me all of your confessions
Tell me if I cease to mention
I love my swedish fish
I love my swedish fish
I love my swedish fish
Hes my pisces gift
Im never coming back
I am too far gone
Wont you be heading this way
Before too long?
Im holding on you
To you

Outro
She, wont get off the phone, she wont leave me alone
When I'm talking to that guy
She, can be a real nightmare, gets me to do her hair
And says it never turns out right
But then I put on a face, she can tell
Cause she knows me so well
Chorus
Whos has been my closest friend, someone who will be there till the end
My sister, sister
Deeper than the deepest sea, no one loves you like a family
My sister, sister
She, reads my diary, she borrows clothes from me
And I never get them back again
And she (and she), locks the bath room door, says five minutes more
And now and then run still not in
And sometimes we fight, every family does (oh yeah)
But that cant change our love
Whos has been my closest friend, someone who will be there till the end
My sister, sister
Deeper than the deepest sea, no one loves you like a family
My sister, sister
To fell and break the good times, who helped me through the hard times
Who bring me down to roof, remind me whats in coming
And who comes first? Who comes first?
Gotta tell me who I'm talking 'bout
My sister, sister
(Oh yeah) and who comes first? Arent no doubt about it
My sister, sister
She, watches out for me, I know she'l always be
By my side (by my side)
Whos has been my closest friend, someone who will be there till the end
My sister, sister
Deeper than the deepest sea, no one loves you like a family
My sister, sister
Whos has been my closest friend, someone who will be there till the end
My sister, sister
Deeper than the deepest sea, no one loves you like a family
My sister, sister

Happy birthday baby, I want to see that big beautiful smile upon your face, When you blow out the candle and I cut your birthday cake-
Happy birthday baby, I'm just wishing you a happy birthday with this happy
birthday song of mine,
Baby its your birthday, and I'm just wishing that you'll have a real good time-
Happy birthday baby, its your birthday that we're celebrating today,

Oh Happy Birthday, Happy Birhday
I want to wish you a Happy Birthday
It was the day that you were born
Birthday oh Happy Birthday is the day.
Come see all the presents on the table
There is also a cake with many candles
It is a lucky day for all that are able.
Happy, Happy Birthday my good friend
It is a span that comes only once a year
Enjoy the moment till it comes to an end.
You see the lights are still fiery on the cake
There waiting for you to blow them out
Please will you do your part and stay awake
No tears please not allowed on this occasion
I know age grows older on this event
Why I don’t know, time doesn’t go on vacation
So happy salutes to you on your moment
Cherish the time it will never return
Celebrate, give, smile and try to be consent.
The lights are finally out on your cake,
And all the gifts were ripped open
All seemed to end in a sudden break.
Happy Birthday and hope you enjoyed the day
No more presents and no more wishes
Now one has to grow and see what comes this way.

One Of My Happiest Days
father and mother that time
split
like a bamboo unable to take
the sway anymore of the
wind's selfish dance
and you sister
remembered my birthday and
you gave me this gift:
a brown sweatshirt inside
a brown box
wrapped with brown manila paper
cool earth i touched, the place where all my roots are
and you are there as i poured it with tears
not the sad ones my dear sister
but tears of joy for your kind remembering

Too much ado about birthdays? ? ?
.i had experience bdays...
on a hospital corridor...
doing nothing but..
battling bottled up emotions..
what had made me survive
some greetings from texters
here there and everywhere
i had too that birthday
inside a bus
nothing to sit on
i cling on a rail
and my feet ache
yet my heart is contented
for i am doing such..
for the benefit of many..
i had my birthday on..
a hospital bed..
surviving the pains
of an operation on my feet
whew what a heck i slept
and when i woke up
it was no longer my natal day
then i had a birthday
inside a church..and
the church goers sang
happy birthday to you...
and my soul leaps with joy
..then i had another one
a mass dedicated to my birthday..
and that makes me full
of God's graces..
now i am in a dream
where will my next birthday be?
in a comfort room?
in a beach?
in a hotel?
in a ship? or in heaven?
that only God knows.

Happy Birthday My Love
Happy Birthday, wish you were here,
Happy Birthday, wish I was there,
Happy Birthday, my dear,
Happy Birthday, I say with care.
Happy Birthday My Love
I love you,
Happy Birthday,
I miss you,
Happy Birthday,
Wish I could see you.
Happy Birthday My Love
Happy Birthday, wish I could give you a kiss,
Happy Birthday, wish I could give you a hug,
Happy Birthday, if only you, I didn’t have to miss,
Happy Birthday, I wish I could hold you all snug.
Happy Birthday My Love
War is around us,
Happy Birthday,
I miss us,
Happy Birthday,
Wish you didn’t have to leave us,
Happy Birthday My Love
I can’t believe I’m losing you!
You can’t leave me!
Please come back, we can’t be through!
My heart is still with thee!
Happy Birthday My Love
Happy Birthday My Love,
I still love you,
Happy Birthday My Love,
You’re in my heart,
Happy Birthday My Love,
I know that’s where you’ll stay,
Happy Birthday My Love,
I’ll stay alive for you,
Happy Birthday My Love

Is it really like fishing?
They say there is many fish in the sea to choose from.
But have you ever gone fishing?
They say do not worry they are like fish you lose one then get a fresh one.
But have you actually gone fishing?
They say you can be picky when fishing your fish.
But have you been in the sea and fished?
They even say some actually smell like fish.
But have you really smelled a fish?
They say there is plenty of fish in the sea.
But have you actually gone and counted the fish in the sea?
They say once you catch that perfect fish, you are bound for a good life.
But have you caught that perfect fish they all speak of?
They say some fish can be beautiful.
But have you seen any beautiful fish?
How can one compare a fish?
They are not alike.
How can one say it is as easy as finding a fish?
It is not a simple task.
How can they say there are so many fish in the sea?
When there are so many fishers who have yet to catch.
Can you really compare life and love to a fish?
The answer is of course not.
You can’t.
Impossible.
Unreal.
Not imaginable.
Unbelievable.
Unrealistic.
A fairy tale.

Bellas Birthday Cake
Bellas birthday cake
Bella played the bridge every second loneliest night of the year
Took a certain liking to a fellow there - bella
She said I brought her back to some old better man - fellah
Bella she was born today feeling kinda spry
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Like lightning, like fire
Bellas birthday cake was burning...
Bella made her bed in red every loneliest night of the year
Tied me to the rages of her rocking chair - bella
Fed me quiet offer through her ever wares - Ill tell ya
Bella she was born today feeling kinda spry
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Like lightning, like fire
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Ever yearning forest fire
And all of her lines she left unread
Spirits and battles won, she said
And over her mountian tops she ground me off
Where...i cant remember...
Bella played the bridge on the second loneliest night of the year
Bella she was born today...
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Bellas birthday cake was burning
Bellas birthday cake was burning...50 years gone.

Give them a net, than a fish
feeling the gap is not sheltering the path
for in the floor, slippery is what it call, with no
exemption, everybody has to be ready
what does a man profit, when he earned is
not in his pocket, all he eats is only for his
bucket, where in the stomach i know, it will
just go
have pity in my strength, my worn out body is
all ready, only my toe wants to be busy, if you
give anything that is for free
why you always insist to receive, when the net
i give is for everybody, to feed the whole family
lies on me, then let be me
good to share with them your net, in the deep
blue water we will meet, let your day be with
everybody in the sea, where fish swims night
and day
in my country, fish is always in the table, net is
in the sea shore, where no fishers ever call, that's
what makes us poor, where the government is
the door, and every family knocks in the floor
now our vision is something to find, for other it
will be find, our people, looks up the sky, for
another night will fall, with hungry mind and soul
are weak in the alms always it take
the church made a steps, teach them not to call
for only beggars may ask, in my country i am gone
and in my face iam one... then teach me how to fish
iam ready

I Want A Boy For My Birthday
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la sha la la
Sha la la la la la la la
Sha la la sha la la
I want a boy for my birthday
Thats what Ive been dreaming of
I wont have a happy birthday
Without a boy to love
Dont want a bracelet with golden charms
Cuz that wont fill my empty arms
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
I want a boy to love
Sha la la la la la la la
(oh oh oh)
Sha la la sha la la
I want a boy for my birthday
Thats the present that I need the most
Just a boy for my birthday
One wholl love to hold me close
Doesnt matter if hes short or tall
Just as long as he gives his all
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
I want a boy to love
I want a boy whos gonna treat me right
(yeah yeah yeah)
Hug me, kiss me, squeeze me day and night
I want a boy for my birthday
He doesnt have to be too smart
Just as long as he loves me
And keeps me in his heart
I want a boy to comfort me
And treat me tenderly
Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah
I want a boy to love

Happy Birthday
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Well, its time to celebrate your birthday, it happens every year
Well eat a lot of broccoli and drink a lot of beer
You should be good and happy that theres something you can eat
A million npeople every day are starving in the street
Your daddys in the gutter with the wretched and the poor
Your mamas in the kitchen with a can of cycle four
Theres garbage in the water
Theres poison in the sky
I guess it wont be long before were all gonna die
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Well, whats the matter little friend, you think this party is the pits
Enjoy it while you can, well soon be blown to bits
The monkeys in the pentagon are gonna cook our goose
Their fingers on the button, all they need it an excuse
It doesnt take a military genius to see
Well all be crispy critters after world war iii
Theres nowhere you can run to, nowhere you can hide
When they drop the big one, we all get fried
(come on boys and girls, sing along, ok? )
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Wow! (background screaming, sound effect)
Well theres a punk in the alley and hes looking for a fight
Theres an arab on the corner buying everything in sight
Theres a mother in the ghetto with another mouth to feed
Seems that everywhere you look today theres misery and greed
I guess you know the earth is gonna crash into the sun
But thats no reason why we shouldnt have a little fun
So if you think its scary, if its more than you can take
Just blow out the candles and have a piece of cake
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Wow!
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday
Happy birthday to you
(happy birthday!)
And a pinch to grow an inch!

Happy Birthday Love
For my wife who is -? Today
Today is your birthday
and you are telling everyone
that you are twenty-one years young.
The children don’t believe it
as it makes you younger that them.
When you tell them they say,
“In your dreams, mum.”
However, having said that
you are twenty-one to me
still filled with love and vitality.
We’re still young as when we fell in love
and today is your birthday.
You are sure to have a good one
surrounded by friends and family.
That is all I have to say except
Happy Birthday Love,
have a wonderful day.
Your loving husband David,
the one born down on the funny farm.

Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 24
A weak fisherman caught a strong fish in his net and not being able to retain it the fish overcame him and pulled the net from his hand.
A boy went to bring water from the torrent.
The torrent came and took the boy away.
The net brought every time a fish.
This time the fish went and carried off the net.
The other fishermen were sorry and blamed him for not being able to retain such a fish which had fallen into his net. He replied: ‘O brothers, what can be done? My day was not lucky but the fish had yet one remaining. ‘Moral: A fisherman cannot catch a fish in the Tigris without a day of luck and a fish cannot die on dry ground without the decree of fate.
