Nothings Lasts Forever
i
the termites are happy
for i have chosen wood,
and learning my lesson
i use steel
the sea breeze sings
with its salt
ii
the cement may be the solution
or the asphalt
and yet my mind changes
wanting to break the hardness
of the stuff
iii
i like things that last
they say i must have the diamonds
oh! something that we cannot eat?
iv
the body turns to dust
the soul escapes
ideas even on paper
meet the burning
v
footprints on the sand
eaten by the waves
a new slate is ready
i step again and again
now i do not really mind
what prints are there
what word is spoken
what ideas grow

They Cannot Harm Anymore
mother was writing her lesson plan
and i was watching her
beside a lamp, that was then when
there was no electricity yet available in the barrio
the sound of the cicadas were loud and the
lizards keep eating the moth on the ceiling
i touched a wall eaten with termites and asked mother
if termites could do us harm or the wood
finally giving in to the hollowness of their skin
all substances she said have their terminals
wood surrender to the greed of termites
and termites build their own empires under the earth
so she said do not complain if this house
that we live in soon fall to the ground and be nothing
but flanks of rotten memories
the law of nature is there
we are all temporary
nothing lasts forever
those that eat and those that are eaten
are but part of their
paths to destiny.
fate cannot harm, they serve the law
and everything has a purpose unique on its own.
i look upon my blank sheet of paper
and then i begin to write again.

The Power of Ideas
The power of ideas are immeasurable
They are the hidden treasures which lies
Deep within each and everyone of us
When we take the time to mind them we will find
That they are more precious than diamonds
Ideas which may seem insignificant
Has tremendous power within them
They are the genesis the initiation the foundation
Of all invention and everything which
Is created by humankind
The power of ideas are immeasurable
They have got the power to move mountains
To overcome any obstacle and to make
The seemingly impossible possible
Ideas are the levers which moves and the axis
On which the world revolves
The power of ideas are immeasurable
The power of ideas...

Ideas
Some of my best ideas come
When I least expect them
When I am without a pen to jot them down
I try to keep them in memory
But they become blurred
They become disjointed and lost
Consigned to frustration
Wanting to remember that spark
Which lit my mind into life
I sometimes find a segment of them
Those ideas which come to me
And fashion something out
Only it never looks right
It doesn’t have the feel I’d like
I guess some things are not to be
I guess I keep talking
Hoping I’d stumble across them
Some of my best ideas come
Then I least expect them
What I have learnt in my short life
Its always good to carry a pen

Paradigm Shift Pen
murmuring brain capsulated the ideas of fine ink,
where the bright ideas poise for a golden pen, yet
tremble of the angry and joy knight of the hand
that goes to the unwilling end
why have it gone to the ink, even good ideas
landed with spoiled things, what when wrong for
only the threshold pen receives the pain; published
in an awesome paper as it tell the whole world has
gone forever until when
laughter burst, as tears fall down to the ground
and the face looks like a murmuring pin in the
middle of the night and I heard a voice of cried
sings, wondering where to go as it leaves in vain
tell now of my misery, whom I kept it long
before you came on my penny, just as what you
say I pick it up in my ink, wishing all the happening
be on the way
find my wish and spray the best, the ink is ready
to say that you are willingly Free …..

The Last Thing On My Mind
Its a lesson too late for the learning
Made of sand, oh its made of sand
In the wink of an eye my soul keeps on turning
In your hand, in your hand
Are you going away with no word of farewell
Will there be not a trace for me to find
Well I could have loved you better
I didnt mean to be unkind
Oh you must know it was the last thing on my mind
As we walked all my thoughts they are a tumbling down down
Round and around, round and round
And underneath I hear the subways trumblin
Underground, underground
Are you going away with no word of farewell
Will there be not a trace left behind
Well I could have loved you better
I didnt mean to be unkind
You know that was the last thing on my mind
Youve got reasons of plenty for going
This I know, this I know
For the weeds have been steadily growing
Please dont grow, please dont grow
Are you going away with no word of farewell
Will there be not a trace left to find
Well I could have loved you better
I didnt mean to be unkind
You know that was the last thing on my mind

On To Something More Concrete
i
i check on the word 'grass'
not in the wikipedia
i check that word outside
i step on the lawn where grass is
i sit upon it and lay my head upon its softness
the grass is cool and comforting
early this morning
ii
i like to check on something more concrete
than what the word signifies
the puffiness of the clouds
the blueness of the skies
the coldness of water
the salt of the sea
how the waves travel and arrive at the shore
i lay my body on the sand
open my eyes to the sky and trace the paths that clouds travel by
i swim to the coldness of the sea and taste with my tongue its salt
i touch the waves
i wait upon the shore and let my hours pass away
iii
this is the earth where i live
where i step upon
it is real, it is never fake
it is as concrete as each word signifies
iv
i speak now to You
Let me thank You for all these
I am alive.

Countless Waiting Gems
My fingers move across the empty page.
Its shining smoothness pure and newly felt.
But not one word on it has yet been spelt,
All inspiration hides within a cage.
And sadly there’s no key, to set it free.
Ideas come and then ideas go,
No single letter, up to now’s been writ.
Perhaps one’s trying too hard, just a bit.
I’ll ease up for a while, and take it slow.
Let my tired mind believe that I’ll achieve.
Ink within my pen has suddenly dried,
So has my font of countless waiting gems.
Nothing is left now in my old brainstems.
I think my mind is on a downward slide.
Could this then be my age, my final stage.
No it is just a bleep, all will be well,
My mind will open up and will receive,
New thoughts that form and I will then retrieve,
All the information, clear as a bell.
For as knowledge can grow, my pen will flow.

Pacific ocean love pt.2
I went to the ocean
for a day
the waves and the sand
kept melancholy at bay
soaking and burning
in this salt
water pot
cleansing my soul
when God would not
my life
in pieces
scattered across
a barren land
I was baptized
in the Ocean
where the heavens
meet the sand

Ideas For Walls
So many things in my head, Ive always had them before
No reason to be upset, theyre just ideas for walls
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing, demanding that the nightlife be called the right life
Like putting paint on my feet & walking sideways in rows
My walls could be so complete, complete with patterns of toes
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing the left side, right side, which is the right side
Now-ideas
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
A little m for the mirror, a double u for the wall
To make things perfectly clear, a great big h in the hall
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing, demanding that the nightlife be called the right life
Is everybody confused? (no) Im making no sense at all
You want a room with a view you need ideas for walls
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing inside, outside, outside, right side
Inside, outside, which is the right side
Now -- ideas
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas
Theyre just ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls

Smokeless
It's so uninspiring.
I'm sitting here and no lights are firing.
My head is mired with faulty wiring.
I need a spark to break the dark.
A cigarette that cures the heart.
Of mind and body it makes me smart.
At least it seems to fill the part.
I sit here now with no smokes left.
My head is empty and bereft.
Of great ideas.
There's been a theft.
So help me now to get them back.
Loan me six bucks to get a pack.
Then I'll find the things I lack.
With smoke filled lungs it brings it all back.
The brilliant ideas on which I snack.

1. One
I am trying to find my poetic rhythm.
Pen my flow of thoughts.
Words running through my mind,
Ideas running through my mind.
Incoherent, Scattered and disjointed
I am trying to make words and ideas one
Create a world of words, in this world of chaos
Words running from one end
Ideas running from one end
On a path of collision
Ideas and words unite, one
One, the beginning
One, the universal beginning
One, the number of the gods
One, my first poem

With New Shot
Sea waves rushed to me
As if to greet and make to feel free
I felt in it sudden current
With full of energy and nothing absent
I had stood aimlessly on shore
With no hope to survive and dare
It was split second thought
Battled enough in mind and fought
I am never man of unstable mind
Love to dream and of nature very kind
I get enough of energy and boost from nature
Where I go and stand alone to secure
Waves again rushed and took away some sand
Each wave looked friendly at the end
Sea roared again from distance and sent fear signal
'Don't be afraid or feel panicky with wave's arrival'
What has happened to me today?
Why is it so that I want to give away?
Whole of my life for stupid way of thinking
When ships over water can swim and I think of sinking?
Oh no, I gathered strength from waves going up and down
What was the reason behind to press for an urge to drown?
I felt shy over the silly idea of not to stay
Almighty had given it to preserve and serve in good way
Oh it is continuous journey with little hint
Each time they rush to the shore to wipe out the prints
What points have we to decide decisively?
Is it life to be led successively?
I brush off the rotten idea and return to hut
All ideas still remain with lots of 'ifs and buts'
I need them to be off with door completely shut
I find the mind ready to fly with new shot

Human beings are accustomed to think of intellect as the power of having and controlling ideas and of ability to learn as synonymous with ability to have ideas. But learning by having ideas is really one of the rare and isolated events in nature.

At Times I Have
At times I have happy ideas,
Ideas suddenly happy, in among ideas
And the words in which they naturally shake free...
After writing, I read...
What made me write that?
Where have I been to find that?
Where did that come to me from? It is better than me...
Shall we have been, in the world, at the most, pen and ink
With which somebody writes properly what we here jot?...

New alternative
Sound sleep without any noise
Day starts with bird’s sweet voice
Rest so essential without any choice
All ideas stored in mind with next day’s poise
Complete body relaxes but not mind
Getting new ideas and alternates find
May be they are active cells come to action
Fight with solution and offer novel reaction
Mild sun rays get end dreams to abrupt end
Sudden hurry to get up and ways to mend
Whole body gears up for the new race
Ready to go into action challenges face
It is not day to day routine but hard struggle
So much pressure and some times to buckle
Failure, humiliation but efforts to survive
Learning new things with resolve and strive
Dead are buried and may not speak
Living beings may feel frustrated and weak
Sometimes forcing to end the entire efforts
Losing confidence and maintain the rapports
It is endless struggle to be pressed and kept
No wise man have ever lamented and wept
It may be fall on ground but resolve to rise again
Not to loose hope but try and have solid gain
People may laugh and cut a joke
Unnecessary meddle and try to poke
Sometimes irritations and response evoke
May be unexpected result with masterly stroke
Steering the course in difficult situation
Gaining the ground wit exact and correct evaluation
Not missing the opportunity when knocks door
Show of satisfaction only after reaching the shore
Nothing may come on the way and deny
Success may come and opportunities many
No looking back with riding on the wings
Who knows when poor will be crowned as king?

An Idea
An Idea can change the world, how many
things can be done from an idea, every piece
of object was an idea, sense the beginning of
time idea was the first thought created in the
mind, an idea is what surround’s every being.
But an idea is still only an idea and it can't be
felt, you cannot touch an idea or kiss it, or hold it,
ideas do not bleed or feel pain or love, an idea
cannot be seen or heard, its created in our thoughts,
but then again an idea can become real. An idea
can be what ever you which it to be, an idea can
be destructive, an idea can be brilliant, I've seen
people get killed in the name of ideas, ideas,
we walk around with a little
light bulb blinking in our thoughts, ideas.

We Are As Vessels For Divinity
We are as vessels for divinity
Encased in the skins of mortality
And through our eyes gods may see
True the skies and forever be
One with all, the soul, the world
In knowing that sublime of words.
The word, the word that future sees
That whispers on a mountain breeze.
The Word unheard forever there
Is the breeze within your lover’s hair
The murmur of the autumn night
The bliss of kissing true the light.
Catching sunlight in her hair
She was the feminine divine
She was the maiden sublime
But was she ever there?
Within dust soil vessels of mortality
The seeds of divinity are sown
Upon the fertile fields of destiny we grow
And we are grown
Ready now to take the world within our grasp
Ready now to clasp tightly to all that
By rights is ours to hold.
Ready to grow old with grace
Keeping faith in the virtues by which we live.
Ready to give.

Thoughts and ideas - (Talking through my hat)
Break and husk
thoughts and ideas that,
without reason,
I smashing them like nuts
into my head – mortar with pig iron pestle.
Lay and hatch
thoughts and ideas,
and younglings,
instead of fly,
I keep them under latch
in my head – cage of neurons,
dendrites and axons.
Knead and raise
thoughts and ideas
but let me tempted,
and without reason,
instead of bake them, I play
“of thieves and bobbies”
with bullets of dough
shot from my head – automatic gun.
Pull kernels out of
thoughts and ideas
but I put not them to spring
and hundredfold harvest to bring,
I chain them necklace
that my poor mind
who walks nomad
through my head – ballad
to put it neck
in a night with moon
and than to catch
in a fairies dance
and hungry of blue
to soar in the stars.
***
Thoughts and ideas
are shrieking through my mind
as lost migratory birds
in an autumn of rains.
Thoughts and ideas
- arrow-shaped cranes with wet wings -
fall all at once
in my head – moorland
of thistle and mud.
Bevies of ideas
and useless thoughts
surround my mind
how ravens give wheel
carrions to be
through my head - waste land
by boiling and winds.
Thoughts and ideas
go round
like a pack of wolves
with empty bellies
through my head – winter of frost,
winter of sleet
with my mind
thoroughly frozen
by fright and a biting wind.
Pick
bunches of thoughts and ideas
caressed by the sun of mind
in bacchanal vineyards
planted on encephalic hills.
I squish them
and expect to get wine
and get drunk
in my head – tavern where the smoke
knife just cut it
and air is sourbitter.
Fog of thoughts and ideas
rises from my mind
as darkness on swamps
in late autumn.
Nothing to see
not hear anything
all still is,
just the small brain
flickers in my head – gray curtain
between movement and inertia.
Slacked thoughts and ideas
are resting on benches of mind,
nothing pulling them
with hands and teeth,
I can’t them gather
at work to bring
to get something good
from my head – chaos
where it lacks a poleax
and a stump of elm.
