My Friend, I Have My Arms For You...
you feel the flight of a dove
yet you have no wings
you haven't felt feathers
you are sad, and so i offer you
my arms, it is cold
you coo.

The Wings Of Healing
The shackles that tie
Your soul earth bound
Keeps you there
Clipped wings of a dove
For ever you search
Morning, Noon, and Night
To release the burdens
Of manmade plights
Once burdens lost
And darkness no more
The wings of healing
Takes time, take flight
You reach up to the skies
The sun, moon and stars
You breathe the wonder
Denied you so long
Arms open wide
You embrace the new you
And smile at the light
That leads you to
The new Journey in life
So like the wings of dove
You fly to be free
Up to the clouds
That embrace the new me

Wings Of A Dove
Take time for your pleasure
And laugh with love
Take the hand of another
And sing for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Look up at the rooftops
When youre walking round
Dont think for a moment
Of looking down
Woah woah, (yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah) for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Ha-lellujah (lellujah)
Ha-lellujah (lellujah)
Look up at the rooftops (the roof)
When youre walking round
Dont think for a moment
Of looking down
At a room at the top
Where were not allowed
Cheer to the echo
Can you hear the sound
Woah woah, (yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah) for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, (yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah) for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Yeah yeah yeah (etc.)
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove
Woah woah, for the wings of a dove

Wings Of A Dove
Let me fly in the wings of a dove
Above the Manhattan sky
So that all the yankies can see me
At least I will be safe in the wings of a dove
And I can sleep while I am fling in the wings of a dove
I love to fly in the wings of a dove
But the feeling of being high in the sky is great
But God gave me a chance to fly in the wings of a dove
When the opportunity came I didn't even think for a minute
I just jumped right in this opportunity
And I am glad I did it
Because I am having the greatest time when I am flying in the wings of a Dove
But I woke up at midnight and the sky was already dark
Eventhough the dove was still flying
The dove took me all the way to Chigago the windy city
Men I must tell you that it was very windy inthe sky in chicago
But we landed safe in Chicago by the shore
And I sleept in the shore of Chicago for the night
To me it was almost like being inside a movie scream when I woke up the next morning at the Shore of Chicago

Knife And Wings
that which is true
hurts like a knife
but only for a while
come to think of it
the hurt
has wings
pain has white
feathers
and red plumes
those wings fly
swiftly to set you free
makes you warm
comforts you
to a wool of warmth
on the onset of
a very cold night
when you find yourself
mulling again
on your empty arms.

As a Dove I Flew
As a Dove I flew,
Without concern...
That my wings someone had clipped!
It was brought to my attention,
When at rest...
Around others,
Where I would sit to listen.
And with them reminisce.
Someone noticed my flaws.
And I began to forget...
My mission was to love.
And to spread happiness with it!
But I let this blemish,
Take hold and I could not resist.
The fact that I was a 'Dove' first...
With or without wings clipped!
And I sat looking at my flaws and blemishes...
That kept me stifled without movement.
And a burden I placed upon my wings...
I found too heavy!
They felt encased in cement.
And my mind stayed fixed on my appearance,
Ever since.
And my wings I could no longer lift!
'Who are you trying to fool?
Us?
Just because we are pigeons...
Your task is not to try to fit in!
Be a Dove.
Be who you are.
Continue your journey,
And stop telling those stories.
We've heard them before...
When you came to deliver,
That self defeating message...
At our separate doors.
We got it!
That's why we are here all together!
Remember us? '
Well...
Why didn't you say something.
I would not have wasted your time.
I thought you all were struggling in conflict?
My 'bad'!
I'm still eliminating some of that 'processing'.
You know what a bunch of ya'll together implies!
'It's not a waste to us at all.
Every time we hear it,
We share it with those who haven't!
It's motivating.
And extremely convincing.
It's hilarious the second time around.
You should see yourself! '
I suppose you are right!
Afterall,
I am assigned to do Dove 'stuff'.
Trying to do it the best I can!
'If you happen to forget,
And you see us again!
Try to avoid using the 'clipped wing' thing.
It's overboard and too dramatic.
It's funny.
But I think you should want to be taken seriously! '
I do!

The Dove of Dacca
The freed dove flew to the Rajah's tower—
Fled from the slaughter of Moslem kings—
And the thorns have covered the city of Gaur.
Dove—dove—oh, homing dove!
Little white traitor, with woe on thy wings!
The Rajah of Dacca rode under the wall;
He set in his bosom a dove of flight—
`If she return, be sure that I fall."
Dove—dove—oh, homing dove!
Pressed to his heart in the thick of the fight.
"Fire the palace, the fort, and the keep—
Leave to the foeman no spoil at all.
In the flame of the palace lie down and sleep
If the dove—if the dove—if the homing dove
Come, and alone, to the palace wall."
The Kings of the North they were scattered abroad—
The Rajah of Dacca he slew them all.
Hot from slaughter he stooped at the ford,
And the dove—the dove—oh, the homing dove!
She thought of her cote on the palace-wall.
She opened her wings and she flew away—
Fluttered away beyond recall;
She came to the palace at break of day.
Dove—dove—oh, homing dove,
Flying so fast for a kingdom's fall!
The Queens of Dacca they slept in flame—
Slept in the flame of the palace old—
To save their honour from Moslem shame.
And the dove—the dove—oh, the homing dove,
She cooed to her young where the smoke-cloud rolled!
The Rajah of Dacca rode far and fleet,
Followed as fast as a horse could fly,
He came and the palace was black at his feet;
And the dove—the dove—the homing dove,
Circled alone in the stainless sky.
So the dove flew to the Rajah's tower—
Fled from the slaughter of Moslem kings;
So the thorns covered the city of Gaur,
And Dacca was lost for a white dove's wings.
Dove—dove—oh, homing dove,
Dacca is lost from the Roll of the Kings!

Psalm 116
Who steps down from the seat of glory?
Who comes down from the heavens above?
It's my Lord and my King who has heard my cry
Who flies to me on the wings of a dove
It's an incredible thing in the darkness
When its shattered by light from above
Just when I thought there was no more hope
You came down on the wings of a dove
I was falling ever deeper into darkness
And I could see no light from above
And I cried out with all that was in me
And you came down on the wings of a dove
You have delivered my soul from death
And you have filled my soul with love
You restored my crushed and broken heart
When you came down on the wings of a dove

Am I In Or Am I Out?
beyond all your hands
i shall be another dove
when you try to enclose me
i coo,
begging, i come with a song
mistaken as pleasure
it is a philosophy of
freedom,
an entreaty that you
shall never
fully understand
for i myself is that
stranger
between a door
confused whether he is
in or
out,
when i fly away
i shall carry only my own wings
i leave my claws
and beak
and some feathers
so i may be as light
as a sigh
i need to see a door
and feel it with my hands
when i open it
how can i? my hands
have been bartered for
wings
that i always dream of.

The Feather Of Yuri
if a dove leaves a feather
white,
pure,
it does not just tell you that
it was once here
it tells you also of another thing
that there is a good reason
for keeping
something like a memory
the sweet one
it does not tell you
to discard pain
but to remember everything
and learn
like you i am not a dove
does not speak the language of doves
does not have feathers
to leave for some people i love
to remember
but i have some pieces of me
some memories
some pieces of my mind and they are not feathers
though they may
like feathers be
light, soft, pure, and beautiful

Feathered Heart
My mind drifts back in time,
spinning words within my mind.
No place it has surrendered,
just forever there to shine.
There in the deepest part of Love.
I feel your presence.
Tickling every part of my heart,
Fluttering like feathers on a Dove.
Take flight, take flight my heart,
I say, as the words go through my mind.
Sweet memories is there inside.
Forever captured, forever mine!

Mighty Wings
By Harold Faltermeyer, Mark Spiro
It's just a ball of dust
Underneath my feet
It rolls around the sun
Doesn't mean that much to me
I take a chance on the edge of life
Just like all the rest
I look inside and dig it out
Cause there's no points for second best
There's a raging fire in my heart tonight
Growing higher and higher in my soul
There's a raging fire in the sky tonight
I want to ride on the silver dove
Far into the night
(Chorus)
Till I make you take me
On your mighty wings
Make you take me
On your mighty wings across the sky
Take me on your mighty wings
Take me on your mighty wings tonight
With just a little luck
A little cold blue steel
I cut the night like a razor blade
Till I feel the way I want to feel
There's a raging fire in my heart tonight
Growing higher and higher in my soul
There's a raging fire in the sky tonight
I want to ride on the silver dove
Far into the night
(Chorus)
Till I make you take me
On your mighty wings
Make you take me
On your mighty wings across the sky
Take me on your mighty wings
Take me on your mighty wings tonight
Take me on your mighty wings
Take me on your mighty wings

In The Morning
Hey baby what you doing?
Your flight left yet?
Pshh, Im half way there
I cant wait to see you
So tell me have you left yet, damn
Im running late to the airport
Every time we do this
In my mind saying should I go through with this?
All I see is you kissing me
Last time shut my eyes
Plane goes higher, higher
Hotels booked all I have to do is get my key
I cant wait to have you walk up and hold on me, yeah
Ive never felt this way before
But in the morning
When youre gone
I must wait and be strong
And have faith
Youll return
In my arms
Hope you miss your flight
Hope you miss your flight
Casablanca has always been my dream
I heard that its absolutely radiant in spring
In the garden drinking shots of hennesy
Calm my nerves, its been way too long for me
Finally were driving in a far out dream
Nothing seems even real or close for me
Afternoon sun showers change the way I see
Ive never felt this way before
But in the morning
When youre gone
I must wait and be strong
And have faith
Youll return
In my arms
Hope you miss your flight
Hope you miss your flight
But in the morning
When youre gone
I must wait and be strong
And have faith
Youll return
In my arms
Hope you miss your flight
Hope you miss your flight
Its okay, its okay
(its okay)
Its okay, its okay
But in the morning
When youre gone
I must wait and be strong
And have faith
Youll return
In my arms
Hope you miss your flight
Hope you miss your flight

The Magpie and the Young Dove
On the ground they struck each other
with their wings out stretched.
But the dove was so much smaller
and couldn’t evade the magpie’s pecks.
As feathers flew, it held down the dove
with its powerful grasping claws.
Once, twice, three times, it pecked,
and again several times more.
The tired dove’s resistance vanished
as the magpie took one hop back.
It stood admiring the results of its conflict
before making its final attack.
This brief encounter was nearly over,
the dove turned to face the magpie,
but then a dog approached the scene
and the magpie flew into the sky.
Keeping a close watch over its prey,
it waited in a nearby tree.
The dog lost interest and sauntered away,
giving the magpie opportunity.
One hop then two, it approached for the kill,
but the dog returned to save the day.
This time the magpie didn’t come back,
and the dove recovered to fly away.

Yesterday I felt so cold, I felt like I could die
Took the needles from my arms and put them to the sky
Watched the cold come take me pull me down like I did know
I saw it gone
Hold myself up til tomorrow holds me down again
Feel the darkness coming over see how it begins
Come with me into the willow garden out tonight
Feel the darkness come my moon will touch you with its light
Help me life was over love I want to had you in my sights
See and I was overlooked I had you in my hands
Like a lid of no survivors nothing I dont mind
Help me broken baby help me break you with my mind.

Wrapped
Hold me to the light
All this for me
Arms wrapped around me
Breathe out gold
Cold
Hold me to the light
Hold me to the light
All this for me
Arms wrapped around me
Breathe out gold
Cold
All I could want
All I could need
All I could feel
All I could see
Damn myself
Am I safe?
Bought myself a better life
Gave myself a reward
A worse hand was never dealt
A worse hit was never felt
Damn myself
Am I safe?
Back myself, paid the price back myself
Bought you a better life
Hold me to the light
See what I just might offer up
Forgiveness
Think that I'd forget this?
With all I could want
With all I could need
With all I could feel
With all I could see
Bought myself a better life
Gave myself a reward
A worse hand was never dealt
A worse hit was never felt
Hold me to the light
All this for me
Arms wrapped around me
I don't think so.

Both were pleased
‘Am I the only girl you have kissed? ’
‘Yes, I haven’t tasted such lucid lips.’
‘Am I the only guy you have slept with? ’
‘Yes, I haven’t felt such strong arms.’
Both were pleased and had their course.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you
I have run I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
Only to be with you
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her fingertips
It burned like fire
This burning desire
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colors will bleed into one
But yes I'm still running
You broke the bonds
You loosened the chains
You carried the cross
And my shame
And my shame
You know I believed it
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for

The Cuckoo Clock
The cuckoo flew out of the clock
and landed on the arm chair.
It looked me in the eye and said,
“I’m not going back in there!
People expect too much of me,
going back and forth all day.
I’m not going back inside.
No! Never! No way.
The clock’s none stop ticking
has made my head feel sore
Calling ‘cuckoo’ 24-7 it’s too much,
I’m not doing it any more.
I want to breathe the fresh air,
and feel the rain and sun.
I want to be able to fly around
and enjoy proper cuckoo fun.
I should be leaving my eggs
here, there, and everywhere.
Eating lots of juicy worms,
and being free without a care.
What do you mean I’m not real
and I’m only made of wood?
Of course I am; I call out ‘cuckoo’
like every cuckoo should.
Just put me on the windowsill
and I’ll show you how I can fly.
Why..? I can’t move my wings,
no matter how much I try.
And I can’t call out ‘cuckoo’,
my ‘cuckoo’ cry has gone.
My head and body won’t move,
and my wings won’t open.
Oh dear, what am I to do?
I’m just a piece of wood.
I’ve been shaped like a bird
and my paint job’s not so good.
I’ve a spring sticking out my bottom
and my feathers aren’t feathers at all.
I haven’t a sound to call my own,
and when I try to fly I fall…
Will you please put me back in the clock?
It’s the only place I can call my home.
I’ll be happy to remind you of the time,
and I promise never again to moan.

The Poet To His Love
ALL the flight of thoughts here, shy, bold, scared, intrusive,
Fluttering in the sun, between the green and blue,
Wheeling, whirling, poising, lovely and elusive,
How to cage the flying thoughts, my winged delight, for you?
Set a springe of rhyme, and hope to catch them in it?
Strew my love as grain to lure them to the snare?
Watch the hours built up, slow minute piled on minute?
Still the wide sky guards their flight, and still the cage is bare.
Gleam of hovering feathers, brushing me to flout me!
Wings, be weary! Rest! Who loves you more than I?
Caught? Oh fluttering pinions whitening air about me!
Rustling wings, and distant flight, and empty cage and sky!

Why Fight Lonely
I feel so alone tonight
I want some arms around me to hold me tight
Whisper words that everything is going to be alright
I feel so alone tonight.
I miss the sense of feeling loved
The dreams we shared in the clouds above
Happiness soaring freely like a white dove
I miss the sense of feeling loved.
I want the happiness that I once felt
If there were tears in my eyes your heart did melt
Problems were overcome, they were always dealt
I want the happiness that I once felt.
I need someone to hold me tight
Arms to wrap around me all through the night
To show me happiness is in my sight
But I know this will never happen, so why should I even fight.
