Marvin T.
so what is the color of your sky Marvin?
pink blue?
flaming green?
what is the flavor of your language?
strawberry words
apple phrases
newly fried tomatoes as paragraphs
of your letter
to papa?
ah, the skies Marvin need not be blue
or white as most people want to see them
or as what they claim to be for all
those solidifying years
Marvin, the skies were crazy violet
flaming hues of red trees
it is how we want them
and not them to want us
so tomorrow what will be the color of the sea Marvin?
why not try the stone gray ones?
or turquoise? or saffron?
a sea of daffodils
an ocean of magnolias
an island of vanilla ice cream
anything goes really
in this free world
ah, do not be a turn off
be glad, you are young and beautiful and free
mothers at first may junk you
as fathers always do to their sons
breaking the rules
of the masculine game
but Marvin, take note
you are you and there is no other you
you're so far
the best because you are the freest
of them all
latest dragon
fly sticking all its feet
on the syrups of the
nectar.

Marvin
Oh Marvin,
Seems so long
But I still remember you
I would have given everything
If I could have talked to you
For just one small moment
In the quiet of the day
You took my pain away
Oh Marvin
The one who wanted,
The one that could not stay
With a flash of illusion
Oh the big one that got away
Just one small moment
In the quiet of the day
You took my pain away
Oh Marvin
Oh Marvin
Oh how we miss you
Oh how we wish somehow
I could hold onto your wings
And fly away
Because the pain you knew
Was the pain I knew too
Misunderstood like the
thorn of a rose
Before the summer came,
Your beauty washed away
Like pretty petals in the wind and rain

Star Trek Intro
Beeping of alert signal.
Ensign: captain, the transporters ready.
Captain: thats hip. lieutenant marvin, what is the condition
Of the planets surface?
Marvin: it is difficult to be precise. however, my instruments
Indicate a condition of extreme rigor mortis, spreading rapidly
Throughout the population. highly illogical, captain.
Captain: a bunch of stiffs, huh? well, set coordinates for, ah,
Chocolate city, and have a landing party of nine men beam down
Immiediately, with phasers set on funk-funk!

The Hand That Rocks The Craddle Pink
Pink used to be the preferred color for boys.
Clouds of white for girls.
The cradle... optimistically oufitted in pink,
is the color for boys, that for a girl being true blue.
Blue) a Virgin’s color (
used once for girls and pink for boys tossed out.
Pink, is as a shade of red
was considered masculine it is a “fierce color”
while blue is frilly and decidedly delicate.
Reason goes is that pink being more a decided
and stronger color is more suitable for the boy,
while blue,
which is more delicate and dainty, is a prettier fop
than poor the toiling girl.
Boys in pink.
Blue girls and is quite tamed in us famous,
but she also has a less known work called,
The naughty pink smile.
Children named Charles were not all girls
and where the girls and Elizabeth
are in baby blue while the boys are dressed in red.

Color Blind
Everyday seemed to be rainy,
I just woke up to see the gray clouds on my window,
the birds didn't illuminate my mornings with their beautiful melody anymore,
I couldn't see more colors than black gray and white.
One day I woke up after having a colorful dream,
I could see more than gray,
I realized I was a color blind before,
because I noticed that after that rain and clouds,
there has always been a rainbow for me,
so I was color blind not to notice that colorful rainbow before,
but, they say that you can't see a rainbow without rain
My rain was just a wall not to see that beautiful rainbow,
now it has dissappeared,
I'm not a color blind anymore,
Now standing in front of my window,
I can see a bautiful bird red and blue looking for flowers,
Flowers violet and pink standing on the ground,
the beautiful green of trees and plants,
and the splendid blue of my new sky,
one of them I can't name it,
is so unique so special,
I think I'll call it...
Love....

I Find Us Between the Lines
I find myself between the lines
Of Marvin Bell's poem
'Prodigal? ' in his book
Of poems 'Mars Being Red'
It's like he's welcoming me
Back unconditionally
I'll put his words in brackets
So you can follow along
[I'm off to the front lines in the war to preserve
the privilege of myth-making]
That's me whenever I write
My poetic license tucked in my pants
I have [...the nerve to think
the future and remember the past...]
How does Marvin know how poems
Come to me and want to get back out
I still hink he is talking about me
In the last lines of the poem
[...They lived among the heroic
who did not want another life, and if
they erred in creating bigger-than-life characters,
they broke bread with the unspeakable,
and that is worth something.]
In case you are wondering
I think you too the other writers
Are the [heroic/who] also [did not
want another life, ...]
[and that is worth something.]

Another Poem For Marvin, Who Is Not Responding To A Calling
“Literature takes shape and life in the body,
in the wombs of the mother tongue.”
- Ursula K. Le Guin
marvin, this time
this is the only time that you are called for this mission
the tongue
of your mother,
go back to it
take your shape
and life there
the reason why
we were defeated
it is their tongue that we are using
and on the first poem that we made
they were laughing
and laughing still
how much useless effort shall we waste some more?
and how many fools will there be like us
laughing when they laugh at us
and still imitating their tongues
when they have become so humiliatingly poisonous?
do you still remember how your mother tongue sound?
it is sweet, so sweet marvin
i hear the songs of the angels and they are all waiting.
the place that i have told you
i will meet you there
cindy and candice are waiting
