We get better

Where do allergies go

How Deep...How High...
My favorite song of all
Is an Irving Berlin song
It starts out with a question
And ends with one more
My favorite song of all time
Its title are the lines
'How deep is the ocean,
how high is the sky? '
A song made up of questions
where two of them are
answered by the one
same question-answer
'How much do I love you?
I tell you no lies'
'And if I ever lost you,
How much would I cry? '
'HOW DEEP IS THE OCEAN,
HOW HIGH IS THE SKY? '
Two different questions
The same answer twice
The answer still a question
(Now don't ask why!)
A hint of something elusive
Something undefined
A fitting answer to that
something I'm trying to find
My favorite song of all time
So poignant so sublime
It never fails to make me cry
How deep...how high...

There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

I don't judge people by their sexual orientation or the color of their skin, so I find it really hard to identify someone by saying that they're a gay person or a black person or a Jewish person.

Always Asking Questions
We all want peace we dont want misery
So many of us wont let us be these things
But we only are confused
We feel stronger as we grow older
But still we feel bemused
Always asking questions
Were always asking questions
And the temptation is to just step back
Well we give what we lack
We will always be asking questions
Why rich?
Why poor?
Always asking questions
Were always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Were always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Always asking
Dont stop asking
Dont stop asking questions
Always asking questions
In answer to this question is just shut up
You dont know
I dont know
Nobody knows
This is an answer to every question
This is a place to begin
Always asking questions
Always asking questions
Why this?
Why that?
Why this?
Why that?
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )
Always asking questions
(why this why that? )

My Favorite Colors
Blue is my favorite color drawn from the seas and skies.
It beautifies my mother’s and two of my daughter’s eyes.
It also imbues the flag of my country where freedom is dear.
That’s why when I feel blue, I know happiness must be near.
Red is a close second and I’ll always remember why.
As a child I loved fire engines and the Monarch butterfly.
For me the lovely, regal rose created this exquisite color.
Many shades exist, but it’s hard to focus on any other.
Yellow is another color that has always caught my eye.
It explodes from the morning sun; then paints the sunset sky.
I wonder if, in fact, my favorite color might be yellow.
It reminds me of all that is good, positive and mellow.
Green, the color of life, emboldens the countryside.
Eyes of another daughter sparkle this color far and wide.
Though the color of money, it’s more important for me
That it signifies “proceed” toward opportunity.
Brown graces the eyes of my son and wonderful wife.
Before I met my partner, brown didn’t mean much in my life.
Because of her, this color is the most radiant of all.
Her big brown eyes and gentle sighs are why love came to call.

His Answer To My Question Was A Question
His answer to my question
Was a question
My answer to his reply
Was returned
With another question
The game of
Answering and asking
Questions
Did not end
Till I questioned
The very motive
Of our conversation
We came to the conclusion
How to pass time?
Was the biggest question
Asking questions
And creating confusion
Was the answer
So we passed our time
Asking and answering questions
The question now is
Whether we did right or wrong?
The answer is
Why ask a useless question?

What is the Color of love?
Written by: Wilfred C. Mellers Monday, February 12,2007
I have dated different people before and the one thing that I have found out is that we all want the same thing. To love and be loved, to be understood and appreciated, to be valued as a human being, and to be respected as a couple.
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from.
What matters the most is what is on the inside.
Trust doesn’t come with a color
Honesty doesn’t come with a color
Commitment doesn’t come with a color
Hope doesn’t come with a color
Sharing doesn’t come with a color
Faith doesn’t come with a color
Sacrifice doesn’t come with a color
Wanting doesn’t come with a color
Despair and loneliness doesn’t come with a color
Unfaithfulness doesn’t come with a color
Longevity doesn’t come with a color
Caring doesn’t come with a color
Wanting to be with someone doesn’t come with a color
Spending your life with someone doesn’t come with a color
Giving oneself doesn’t come with a color
Sharing values doesn’t come with a color
If all these things don’t come with a color, then why do we look at the superficial than the substance of love? It doesn’t matter who you are with but that you are with someone that loves and cares for you. That someone that will be there for you in your darkest hour of need is what that is important. We train our kids to look at the differences that we have than look at the content of ones character. We all belong to the human family and this is what makes us the same. We are all like flowers blooming in a great garden we call earth. We come in many different colors, shades, and styles. What makes us different is what makes us the same. A bee doesn’t care about the color of the flower only that the nectar is sweet.
You my friend are sweet nectar that blooms only for awhile just to disappear till time again to bloom. Cherish the differences that make us all human. A color is nothing more than just that; a color.

To Amuse At The Expense Of Wasted Time
Would these be betting odds,
That an asking of someone...
Who has done something in their life,
For more than 'sixty years'.
And approached to be questioned,
What they have been doing...
Since they were last seen ten years ago?
And that question has been asked,
By that same person rerpeatedly.
And the response is known.
What would be the likely odds,
That the person asked the question...
Would 'not' be doing,
What has become an obvious love...
For what that person does.
Should the one asking that same question,
Take a gamble and ask another question...
That would initiate a conversation,
Expressing a real interest?
And not just say the same thing to re-tread.
I maybe wrong about this,
But...
Leaving the person feeling a sense of being appreciated,
Would probably reveal a human being existing.
Instead of a novelty to amuse at the expense of wasted time.

Undefined Importance
Who is the most important person,
When is the most important time,
A question that creates a loop on itself,
Quite intriguing, but never concrete,
Like rolling a die
With infinite sides,
It's a different answer
In a year or two
It only has one answer,
And most of us will get it wrong
Because none of us are truely living
The present, the Now, right this moment
Strip us of any labels,
Discard your position,
Stand up straight,
And open your eyes,
Who you are talking to right now,
Each second you are conversing with them
Is the most important thing
Right this moment

When A Person Does Not Know What
When a person does not know what to do with himself
When a person feels empty
When a person feels everything he had done and everything he can do do is meaningless
When a person is bored
When a person does not know what to do with himself
And wonders why he is on this earth
And how he will endure more of it
When a person does not know what to do with himself
He must do any little thing he can do
To get himself going-
He must wash the dishes or clean the house or take something to eat or take a small walk or read a page
Or do any one of a million or more other small things to get himself going
And once he is going he must somehow go on and on and from this to something else
So that at some point somewhere along the way somehow
He is doing something
Perhaps not that great
But doing something
And in doing something
Perhaps forgetting about himself
A bit
Perhaps.
WHAT DO I KNOW? \AND WHO AM I?
What do I know?
And who am I?
The real questions
I cannot answer
They are beyond me.
And I don't think
I have anything to give
Even in beginning to answer them.
Just another human being
Who has come this way
And soon will be gone
Without ever having answered
The real questions.

What Color? (Hope)
what color
was the dust
from which the stars
were made?
what color is the hunger
written on the child's face?
what color is justice,
forgiveness, desire, truth?
what color is the wind....
the rain, gravity,
and knowledge?
what color is equality?
what color is freedom?
what color is eternity?
what color is redemption?
what color is God?
what color were the nails
that hung Jesus on the cross?
what color was enlightenment
falling on the Buddha as he sat
'neath that tree?
what color is prejudice, hatred,
fear, greed, apathy.....
what color your skin?
nay, what color is your blood?
and what color are the eyes
of humanity staring through the darkness?
and what color is hope?

Who Do You Love, I Hope
I've got the question
I've had it for days
You've got the answer, dear
I'll put the question
In one little phrase
Say what I want to hear
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Who do you want I hope
Who do you need I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Is it the baker who gave you a cake
I saw that look in his eye
Is it the butcher who brought you a steak
Say that it is and I'll die
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
[2]
I heard your question
The answer you know
Love is my middle name
You asked a question
That worried you so
Mind if I do the same
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Who do you want I hope
Who do you need I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me
Is it the blondie who acted so shy
I heard the things that she said
Is it the redhead who gave you the eye
Say that it is and your dead
Who do you love I hope
Who would you kiss I hope
Who is it going to be
I hope, I hope, I hope it's me

What I Appreciate
I appreciate
A person who acknowledge
His or her mistakes
I appreciate a person
Who apologizes
And doesn't hesitate
I appreciate
A person who makes
You believe
What they say because
They mean it truly
I appreciate
A person who keeps their word
After all it's what I deserve
I appreciate
A person who's apology
I can accept
Because it will be sincere
And I can forgive and forget it
I appreciate
Having someone I admire
It is my desire
I appreciate a person
Like this I would
Be truly flattered
For it's important
And to me it matters
So I know you are wondering
Can I do the same thing.....
Absolutely

Sexual Thing
(laughing)
Jam blues man
There you lay
All by yourself
So please allow me
To introduce myself
I welcome you
To the house of sin
Open your mind
And let the games begin
Im your lust
And Im your greed
Im every sick thought
That you ever done dreamed
Eaten your cake
Now you want some more
Mmm, where have i
Heard that before?
Chorus:
I am your
I am your
Im just your sexual thing
I am your
I am your
Im just your sexual
Aint nothin but a sexual
Its just a sexual thing
Lyin there
You look so horny
Talk is cheap
And startin to bore me
Hold me close
And tell me it feels so good
But damn, girl
You knew it would
Chorus
Solo
Glad to have met you
So pleased that youve come
But I must be movin on
My work here is done
Best believe me you, child
The pleasures been all mine
If youre in need, please do indeed
Call me anytime
Chorus
Theyve got you medicated
Its got you so frustrated
He caught you masturbatin
You rather be fornicating
Well then you come with me
Im gonna set you free
Its just a sexual
Aint nothin but a sexual
Its just a sexual thing
Talking:
What youve witnessed is a sexual fantasy
Please do not try these tricks at home

When the Body Starts to Go Broke...
you complain of flu
time has now asked for an accounting
how your body is used
how is it abused
with so much work
and thoughts and stress and
waste
you think about drugs
and the possibility of a vaccine
i say there is more to it
we don't live by drugs alone
or bread
there is more to this tired body
this restless mind
go deeper
ask your heart
and listen
there is more to this sickness
the symptoms shout
asking for help
the prescription is right there
on those
vomit and allergies
sleep a while
let your dreams tell the story
let that voice tell you where you are
and where must you
go
next time

Perfectly Flawed
I am perfectly flawed,
I am my own enemy,
I hate what I become,
I hate my weight, my height, my face, my race
I hate almost everything about myself,
We are who we chose to be,
I use drugs as my gateway to happiness,
Its the same ol' things I do,
I am a mistake,
I am a disgrace to everyone.
Our perfection will kill us all,
We are perfectly flawed,
We are a thing in the past,
We chose our own deaths through our weight and suicide,
Suicide is a cowards way out,
I am who I am,
We all have our own perfection and flaws,
I am perfectly flawed,
We are beautiful inside and out,
We are who we are.
(I thank Otep for the title to their music but this poem is all freestlye....
Their song got me thinking about this poem....Otep - Perfectly Flawed)

Burying Her Ashes
Strange!
A person with great height
and weight is now turned
into an urn of ashes.
Down deep into a
little hole of the ground,
she is laid down
without music
and elegance.
Strange!
She, an equation
by contraction
or reduction!
And this life
of great height
and grandeur
is now inside
a metallic urn!
