Living And Reliving An Experience....
it is nothing but experience
it shows, it is felt, and then
you draw it back again nearer
your face, take a closer look,
analyze, and feel and
reflect, many times, digest,
expand, do not decorate,
take it as it is,
freeze it, ...stay still,
be a sculpture, or a ladder,
a pillar, or even be a bowl
of water,
do not titillate
visualize, taper, sharpen,
no rattling please, just
the closer look at the closing of
the day....
it dances before you,
shows its best, becomes a tree with
so many ripe fruits for your
picking
really, this is what experience is all
about.

Closer
So leave your taxi waiting
And turn and close my door
And sit back down where you were sitting
A little closer than before
And when you look that serious
It just makes me want you more
And I've been meaning to tell you
The closer you get, the better I feel
The closer you are, the more I see
Why everyone says that I look happier
When you're around
The closer you get, the better I feel
And yes I know you're nervous
Never seen you so unsure
You haven't touched your food tonight
And you're drinking more and more
And there's no need to hurry
Take your time I'll still be here
And I've been meaning to tell you
The closer you get, the better I feel
The closer you are, the more I see
Why everyone says that I look happier
When you're around, the better I feel
The closer you get, the better you see
The closer you are, the more I see
Why everyone says that I look happier
When you're around
The closer you get, the better I feel
The better I feel, the better I feel
We've been circling for time baby
We're coming down to land tonight
The wait is over and now it's easy
Everything is fine
The closer you get, the better I feel
The closer you are, the more I see
Why everyone says that I look happier
When you're around, the better I feel
The closer you get, the better you see
The closer you are, the more I see
Why everyone says, that I look happier
When you're around, the closer you get
The better I feel

Closer By The Hour
You're the sweetest one I know and I just can't let you go
I just dream of holding you inside my arms
I go home each night to stay but I just can't stay away
And we get closer closer by the hour
We get closer by the hour though we've tried with all our power
To stay away from each other's arms
We get closer by the hour like the bee goes to the flower closer closer by the hour
We come closer with each kiss and I feel your lips insist
But I do your will and love you more and more
Although we know it's wrong we can't stay where we belong
And we get closer closer by the hour
We get closer by the hour...

Closer To Me
(john farrar)
I know that in time I can handle this a little better
But what can I do if your heart wont let her go
There are times I mean everything to you
Life can be so sweet when I do
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I beg you for the truth but I dont wanna hear it
You pour it all out and I wont go near it
Oh no, oh no, but I believe youre gonna love me again
So Ill try to make it easier till then
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
Are you gonna break away, set yourself free
Let me see the kinder man that I used to see
Make yourself open up, let it all go
If youre really mine again, let this crazy fool know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I wanna be closer
I wanna go back where we used to be
Oh baby, please get close to me
Get a little bit closer
I wanna be closer
I wanna be closer
I gotta be closer

Another Step
Written by kim wilde & steve byrd
Never, ever felt this way before
You are the one that i'am craving for
Another step nearer your heart
Another step closer to knowing you
Another step nearer your heart
I'm on my way
I never thought it could happen
Being close to someone like you
But you know this isn't just a minute affair
If we make time and take a lot of care
I love everything about it
There's such a good feel about it
And i know where i'm gonna be
If you take a step closer to me
I couldn't even describe it
Though i tried i couldn't find the words
When you're stumbling through life
And love is one step away
Carry on or do you stay
We've got to promise faithfully
To hang on to each other and never leave
That's the way love's gonna be
If you take a step closer to me - come on now
The only way to deal with affairs of the heart
You've got to jump right in, doesn't matter who starts
Take a step nearer, come over here
Together we can make it tonight

Closer To The Heart
Words by neil peart and peter talbot,
Music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
And the men who hold high places
Must be the ones to start
To mould a new reality
Closer to the heart
The blacksmith and the artist
Reflect it in their art
Forge their creativity
Closer to the heart
Philosophers and ploughmen
Each must know his part
To sow a new mentality
Closer to the heart
You can be the captain
I will draw the chart
Sailing into destiny
Closer to the heart

So Close
(diana ross/bill wray/bob mounsey)
So close
When I look into your eyes
So close
I feel Im hypnotized
I wanna stay here
For the rest of my life
So close
When you smile at me that way
So close
It takes my breathe away
I love you more
With every beat of my heart
Ooh, I remember the night we met
I knew Id never, ever be the same
Ooh, I remember the night you said you loved me
In and instant my whole world changed
So close (closer and closer)
Feel your body next to mine
So close (closer and closer)
(closer and closer and closer)
Ill lose a sense of time
I wanna stay here for the rest of my life
I wanna stay here for the rest of my life
Ooh, I remember the night we met
I knew I never ever be the same
Ooh, I remember the first time you said you loved me
I love you darling
In an instant my whole world changed
So close (closer and closer)
Being here with you
So close
And theres nothing Id rather do
Than make you stay here
And Ill keep you always so close
Closer and closer
Come on closer to me boy

Closer 2 U
I'm gonna get closer to you
Come closer!
I'm gonna get closer to you
Come closer!
I see you watching me boy
Like I've been watching you and
I think it's time that we get down
We're talking big attraction
We're talking interaction
I think it's time that we get down
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Closer to you
I'll take you on a journey
You'll see that there's no turning back
Just need a chance and we'll get down
It's time for stimulation
When we're in isolation
I'll make you feel up if you're down
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Come closer and closer still
Closer you make me thrill
Moving your body next to mine
Come closer and closer still
Closer you make me thrill
Closer I'll make you feel divine
Closer to you!
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Get closer to you now baby
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Oh baby, baby baby baby
I'm gonna get closer to you
(Closer to you now)
Show you all that love can bring you
(Closer to you now)
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Whenever you are near
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Only, only you!
I'm gonna get closer to you
(Closer to you now)
Show you all that love can bring you
(Closer to you now)
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Come closer !

Warnings Aren't As Effective
Most times a warning,
Isn't as effective...
As the experience itself.
A child seems not to learn,
Until an action taken...
Creates the right affect.
It's like overeating and cheating.
Two essentially different concepts,
When one defines them.
However...
Lieing about either one of them,
Produces the same result.
Embarrassment.
And...
It eventually shows.
Most people who are embarrassed...
Immediately seek to deny the truth.
Most times warnings aren't as effective,
As the experience itself.
And...
The experience once admitted,
Doesn't have to be devastating...
If one seeks the right counseling,
And is determined to be honest with 'self'...
To get from under the weight,
Of what becomes obvious to many as seen.

Closer To Heaven
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me all your love
Tell me now
Youre coming home tonight
Have some faith
In the love we share
Is it fate
Does darkness end in light
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Whered you go
Did you loose your way
Tell me now youre coming back to stay
In my hopes
Paradise is real
Horoscopes
Cant forecast how well feel
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope

The Long Argument
Between You and I God
the long argument continues
I cannot worship You
without fear
without scepticism-
And yet You draw me ever nearer.
The more I withdraw
the closer You come-
So that in my doubt
I praise You
so that with my fear
I love You.
So that the more I deride You
the closer You become.

One Step Closer
theres no other way
in the multitude
population, neighborhood
i look for you
do you look for me
its the only way you're gonna
get topography up off the feet
gotta settle down and watch the dust
gonna read the book all the rules that must
sets the time to set the pace
you took me closer
one step closer to that place
you take me one step closer
now i know we're there
its better now than ever
now i know you'll stay
and another way
its a different world
theres a shining light
and a darkened world
and it waited takes a path
to a different place, different time
different vibe
you take me one step closer
now i know we're there
its better now than ever
now i know you're here
you take me one step closer
now i know we're there
much better now than ever
now i know you'll stay
found another way, another added trip
theres a population, in the neighborhood
i'm lookin for you
you look for me
its the only way to get
to where we want to be
you take me one step closer
now i know we're there
much better now than ever
and now i know you'll stay
you're taking me one step closer
now i know we're there
its better now than ever
now i know you'll stay with me
you're taking me one step closer
now i know you're there with me
much better now than ever
now i know you're here

Closer
All night I've been awake
You on my mind
I made a big mistake
To leave you behind
You know it's hard to sleep
on a bed of nails
I know that I was wrong
You knew it all along
I was a fool nothing better to do
than fail again and blame it on you
Sometimes I don't know how I'll ever get you back
There's so much I need to say
But you're so far away
(chorus)
Ooh Just wanna get closer
Ooh Closer to you
Ooh Just wanna get closer, closer
That's all I wanted to do
So when I wake up
I'll count every move
I need to make
To get back to you
Who knows if time can heal
All that's gone before
But in your eyes once more
Lights on a distant shore
(chorus)
They say there's a northern light
Shining out there
They say there's a happy life
Who can tell me where
They say that love can fly
Like smoke in the air
I don't care what they say
When you're so far away
Ooh Just wanna get closer
Ooh Closer to you
Ooh Just wanna get closer, closer
That's all I wanted to do
Just to be close to you

Close To You
Ah, ladies and gentlemen, I dont know if you realize it,
But tonight youre in for a special treat. no, no, no, not that, not that!
You only get that treat on full moons. besides, I know theres a lot of young people here,
And I would want anybody to...
Last time it happened, grown men where weeping. policemen where turning in their badges.
Oh, I get, I get, everyone was intimidated tonight by all the security precautions, oh.
Well, just remember their motto is protect and serve?
I wanna get
Close to you baby like black on white,
Close to you baby like the coldest of ice,
Close to you baby like a siamese twin,
Close to you baby like Im feeling all right.
I wanna get
Close to you baby,
Well, close to you baby,
Close to you baby,
I dont know what to say or do.
I wanna get
Close to you baby like the sight of your eye?
Close to you baby like the heat is to fire,
Close to you baby close as I can get,
Close to you baby like water is wet.
I wanna get
Close to you baby.
I said close to you baby.
Close to you baby.
Dont know what to say or do.
I wanna get
Close to you till Im feeling all right,
Close to you gonna love you all night,
Close to you in new york city,
I love you so much, woman, you know its a pity.
I wanna get
Close to you baby.
I said close to you baby.
Close to you baby.
Dont know what to say or do.
Well
I wanna closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
I wanna close to you babe
That I dont know what to say or do.
Well, closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
Closer and closer babe
I wanna close to you babe
Oh babe! we love you!
And you make me feel all right
Make me feel all right
Make robbie feel all right
And you make john feel all right
And make jim feel all right
And we wanna love you so much to you
I dont know what to say or do
All right

Closer
(aimee mayo/chris lindsey/marv green)
I love the way you look at me
Cant you see
Youre the only one that I could ever need?
Cant you feel how much
How much I wanna get
Maybe just a little, just a little bit
Closer
Closer than anything
Dont you wanna be?
Closer
Til theres nothing in between
You and me
I gotta make a secret confession
All I really want is all your affection
Get a little crasy every time we touch
Close as we are, we could get so much
Closer
Closer than anything
Dont you wanna be?
Closer
Til theres nothing in between
You and me
Baby dont you wanna get
Maybe just a little bit
Look into my eyes
Just get hypnotized
One little magic kiss
We could always feel like this
Come on over here and get
Closer
Closer
Closer than anything
Dont you wanna be?
Closer
Til theres nothing in between
You and me
Baby dont you wanna get
Maybe just a little
One little magic kiss
Look into my eyes
Just get hypnotized
Come on over here

The Closer They Get to Madness
The closer they get to madness,
The more they realize they are not alone.
The more common they become,
To those they thought lazy and dumb.
Now they find themselves...
Displaced and disgraced,
Like everyone else.
How sudden can a kindredness get?
How quick can those who 'had'
Find themselves among those
They chose once to disrespect.
The closer they get to madness,
They will receive the full affect!
Closer and closer to rub shoulders...
With an acceptance and much regret!
The closer they get to madness,
A perfected lifestyle behind them is left!
The closer and closer...
And closer,
They get!

Busheled Together
See those apples hanging ripe,
All yet to fall...
From that one tree.
Even though they appear,
To look the same...
If one should examine closer,
Each would have a unique and distinct...
Quality.
Although on that one tree,
One may declare...
Them to have similar identities.
Upon tasting from those apples picked,
One will come to a core...
With seeds inside of it.
And delicious is a sweetness,
When the juice is licked.
But when busheled together from that one tree,
Some may have blemishes.
While others upon inspection may be blemish free.
And all of them have been witnessed,
To be the product of the same tree.
See those apples hanging ripe,
All yet to fall...
From that one tree.
Even though they appear,
To look the same...
If one should examine closer,
Each would have a unique and distinct...
Quality.
And when busheled together,
They are all apples.

Fruits Of The Tree
What fruits we have!
Glittering with evil,
To shed innocent blood,
Shining with greed,
And we end in comfort that lasts only a moment
What fruits we bare!
Lost in ambition and passion
That we preach prosperity and success
As if they last an eternity
Swelling with pride that lasts a stint
Fruits of the tree
That the master has planted.
They can choose to ripen, or to stay raw!
They can choose to rot, or to stay ripe!
But, every fruit stands the test of time.
In the end, Ripe with truth and love,
Victory is imminent.
Rotten with deception and hatred,
Destruction waits:
The fruits from the tree of life

In Between Dances
(craig bickhardt/barry alfonso)
Theres room at my table, why dont you pull up a seat
The musics inviting but Im staying off of my feet
The floors getting crowded, but I dont wanna take part
I bet you can guess its got something to do with my heart
I could sure use your company now
But dont be mistaking my smile
Im only in between dances
Sitting it out for a while
The partners are chosen, look at them waltzing away
The tempo gets slower, closer and closer they sway
Ive had my moments when I could get lost in the sound
But when the song ended the one in my arms let me down
I could sure use your company now
But dont be mistaking my smile
Im only in between dances
Sitting it out for a while
Have you been in my shoes
I search your eyes for signs
Will you remain, remember my name
After its closing time
I could sure use your company now
But dont be mistaking my smile
Im only in between dances
Sitting it out for a while
Im only in between dances
Sitting it out for a while
