Listening To Mozart Looking Over The Window Of The House

a blue bicycle passes by me
a man in black biker's short speeds his pedaling
his red cycles on slippery asphalted road
past across
the rage of the afternoon rain
splashing water
to a number of blank minded innocent passersby
creating curses
of sonamafithes! and damyous!
and f****you!

Omg! How could i have expressed what i feel
for this passing slimy slippery wet day.

Lifes An Ocean

Lifes an ocean
Lifes an ocean
Too much commotion, too much emotion
Too much commotion, too much emotion
Dragging me down
Dragging me down
Living for today, dont have time to pray
Living for today, dont have time to pray
Ready for the game
Ready for the game
Take a line of fickle flame
Take a line of fickle flame
Imagine the future
Woke up with a scream
Imagine the future
I was buying some feelings
Woke up with a scream
From a vending machine
I was buying some feelings
Say that I will see
From a vending machine
Something more than I have
Say that I will see
Theres something inside of me
Something more than I have
Crying out for something else
Theres something inside of me
And if someone hears my scream
Crying out for something else
Put it in a letter to me
And if someone hears my scream
Slippery slimy road down
Put it in a letter to me
Slippery slimy road down
Lifes an ocean too much commotion
Not enough emotion to satisfy me
Lifes an ocean too much commotion
Slippery slidy road down
Its slippery slidy road down
Not enough emotion to satisfy me
Hold my hand and well walk down
Slippery slidy road down
Dry those eyes and well walk down
Its slippery slidy road down
Slippery slidy road down
Lifes an ocean, lifes an ocean

Rain drive

I see a big storm
hanging dark against the sky
and lightning bolts,
that hit smashing to the ground.

There are big drops
that hit whipping down
and the black road
wet and somewhat slippery.

There’s no way
to ride away from the storm
and the traffic
stand still in front of me,
but with a motorbike
you can cut past cars.

It’s as if clouds of steam
rise out of the hot tar road,
but the screen
of the helmet
is covered by the rain
that I have difficulty seeing
to were to go
and which cars are moving or standing.

With Soutpansberg avenue that lies open before me
I open the throttle
and there’s wind, rain
and thunders that fall flashing blue
around me
and resound somewhere behind the motorbike
and the rain on my hands
hits like hail.
.
The leather jacket keeps the top of my body dry and warm,
but the bottom
is soaked and wet
and I feel the coldness
rising from below.

There’s busses coming from the front
that throws water whipping
as far as they go
and somewhere in the left lane,
there’s cars stopping for a pothole
and my motorbike catches speed
past in the right lane.

Caution

[Bob Marley]
Wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo-wo.
Wo-wo-wo-wo, wo-wo-wo-wo.
Here I am walkin' down the street (Walkin', walkin', walkin', walkin',
walkin', walkin', walkin', walkin', walkin', walkin', walkin',
walkin')
And the children: everything is so sweet.
(Wo-wo-wo sweet! Wo-wo-wo sweet!)
I'm doin' my best and I'm doin' it slow,
But there is just one thing I would like you to know.
Ooh, when you wet, it's slippery, yeah. Uh!
When it damp, it crampin'!
If it's slidin', you'll tumble down,
Won't want you on the ground.
Oh-oh-oh! Caution: the road is wet;
Black soul is black as jet. Did you hear me?
Caution: the road is hot;
Still you got to do better than that!
'Cause when you wet, it's slippery, yeah. It's slippery, yeah!
When it damp, it crampin'! When it damp, it crampin'!
If it slidin' up and down-a,
Don't want you on the ground. Brother!
Hit me from the top,
You crazy muthafunkin'!
Hit me from the top,
You crazy muthafunkin'!
Hit me from the top,
Crazy muthafunkin'! Eh!
When you wet, it's slippery, yeah. Uh!
When it damp, it crampin!
If you slidin', you're tumblin' down,
Don't want you on the ground! Don't, don't!
Caution: the road is wet;
Black soul is black as jet. Black soul!
Caution: the road is hot;
Yeah, you got to do better than that!

Serene Love

as we step into the
clear water of the river
we create the ripples
we lose sight of the
face of the blue clouds
we find for ourselves
an embroidery of
drifting leaves

we dip our bodies to
the coolness of the water
i search for serene love
at the bottom where
you are waiting

we kiss and embrace
beside the slippery stone
the moss is green
each step as slippery as
an ell
each kiss and breath a
bubble we send
to the surface of the river

the water flows farther and farther
until we begin not to see what happens.

The Child Forced To Be A Man

all the silver statues of men
are laughing
and i the child screams for
help
as i am new to this kind
of arrangement
they're too big and i am
too small
upon a slippery road
where the rain does not stop

Mama is not here definitely
to defend me
from all their mockeries

and so i am forced to become
a strong man
in such a short time

even without Papa's image
to follow
no shadows no light.

Square Water

SQUARE WATER

When the bus collapsed on the road
To the capital
A man in blue opened the hood
And spit at the engine
While off to the side
Down a rough slope
Was a square cut body of water
Neutral and calm for all:
Water buffalo, children and dogs.
A radiantly happy girl is climbing out.
The buffalo gaze over at two men
In white pith helmets and black clothes
Who seem to be digging a hole.
A bicycle is parked between the children
And the men
The water is roiled by swimmers
Splashing in the brown liquid.
Bruegel should have been there
To mix the ordinary with something
Unexpected:
Perhaps a boy with wings falling
Off in the distance.
That rapid movement might have caught
The eyes of the buffalo
But the men would have been too busy
Digging and the children would have been
Having too much fun to look up.
When the bus started I framed
A shot that included them all except
For the imaginary falling boy
Who only hit the water in my imagination.

A Cat, A Bat, A Rat and A Mat

A cat and a bat
Were sitting on a large mat,
Trying to make dinner
Of a small, little rat.

The cat said to the rat,
'I and not the bat will eat your fat'.
'No' said the rat to the cat and the bat,
'Neither of you'll will eat me or my fat”.

The bat said to the cat,
“Go ahead, Yar and eat quickly the slippery rat.”
The cat looked around and said to the bat,
“OK, but where is the God-damn rat? ”

Peeping from a hole in the wall
Said the slippery rat,
“Bon Appetit, my dear fat cat!
But it is time for my evening nap! '

Flower in a garden

A boy on a bicycle
passes by
and whistles and waves,
but without looking at him
or twisting in his direction
the blonde girl
sprays water on her roses.

Two boys walk past
and call her name
and without looking up,
she shears a lavender bush
and sweat runs
into her eyes.

a Motor biker blows
his noisy cycle’s horn
and without leaving her work,
she keeps on shearing plants.

The girl works until dusk
and while the sun’s
last rays fall,
she is happy in her garden
and when the evening star
hangs in the sky
she is thrilled
with the blooming flowers,
of which the scent
hangs in the air.

Driving My Roads

I pull the truck out
and head for the open road-
our relationship
splattered all along the highway;

our history written on the highway signs;

The Good:

Curves Ahead
Soft Shoulder
Yield
Slippery when wet

The Bad:
Under Construction
Fines Double
Do Not Cross the Double Yellow
Uneven Highway
Stop
Icy Road
Slippery When Wet
Caution

Divorce

Everywhere memories
our Road Kill.

But I can see the mountains
from here.

I can see forever from here,
there is no destination
outside my windshield.

I can drive forever-
my radio my counselor
music my conductor
my friends live in the CB
I can drive forever
I can drive forever
away
far far away
from here.

Whats wrong-number one water.
So the rice grower, ' said'.
You maybe want more.
Feel like a shut door.
Water just dont feel right.

Number one water-BOY.
Please dont tell me more.

Black Mamba

Hand in the snake pit - black mamba chase.
Head through the lions cage - head on a plate.
Two feet on the hot coals - last dance at the ball.
Blindfold on the tightrope - whenever you call.
Be my slippery slider, black mamba crawl over me.
Dark thoughts of the sleepless - hung out to dry.
Slip through the bedclothes - unblinking eye.
Long tongue flickering - fixed stare grip.
Sweet venomous potion, held to my lip.
Be my slippery slider, black mamba crwal over me.
A tropical whisper. a sibilant kiss.
Soft strike teasing. dangerous bliss.

Rules of the Road

Ahead of me a hill to pass and the road is slippery & full of bends.
I am a driver not a jockey and this my old crock but not a Stallion.
Oh! I have passed my history teacher who was standing at the bus stop
Since a long time and not aware of the General Bus strike.
I am sorry my brakes are not so good
And the road is slippery, ahead of me a hill to pass.
All of a sudden I saw a racing car has overtaken me
And the history teacher in the car.
I am very happy that she got a ride at last
And would be home earlier than me.

Doing Justice To Love?

justice is an
eternal search
a way of
balancing
that does not
balance
at all, or sometimes
maybe
when you feel you
are near it
and yet it becomes
too slippery
to your touch

this morning i
like to tell you that
i like to do justice
to love

that i have not rendered
what is due it
that i am a kind of
a shortcoming
a big lapse
a slippery hand that slips
away from your
body

i like to tell that you
i am unjust
not having loved you so
well
or even if i want to
i simply can't

you are running with time
you are short of it
and at the last hour of
the rush you tell
me that it is time to leave
and that something
shall be done

you kiss my forehead
not my lips
you tell me ' i love you'
and then
you say 'bye'

i have not told you anything
because i know
that you are returning
because i know that i am
not

or must i contrive about
new choices
that there are many ways of
loving you

that there comes a time
when the moon is full and
we are together
under its light and we say
that despite everything
those lapses and
shortcomings we keep on
that hold

we love each other no matter
what
even if we do not love even if we
feel nothing
even if we are deprived
of any emotion
even if the shallowest feeling
does not touch
us with its fingers again
the fingers of a
child
unborn.

Biker Like An Icon

There was a girl who loved a biker
She used to follow him across america
But the biker didnt like her.
She didnt care, she still persisted
Though her brother said she was twisted
And the family said they wouldnt miss her
Anyway.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.
She did her best to fix a meeting
She pulled it off one night in hollywood
When he met her he couldnt let her get away.
He didnt ask for her permission
He took advantage of her position
But he was always her ambitiion
Anyway.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.
The family tried so hard to find her
They showed her picture across america.
But no trace of her sweet face
Was ever found.
She loved the biker like an icon
Gazing at his picture everyday.
She loved the biker like an icon
Slowly watching precious water drip away.

Evening walk

Aimless mind slap bang
Coated out to spring
Dressed up, bear body hiding
Set out the old road along

The bus or the tram
Unless may be the train
To right or the left no plan
Time and space came

The side where I belonged to
The tram was on way from left to
Undecided space came think to
Opened the door just get into

Passengers were on seats
Passersby were in streets
Seemed to be direct targets
Looking at their end points

Planned and minded among
Blank and aimless I am
Getting down one by one
One and only in I am

Reverse way to the direction
Same as the tram to go again
Waiting for till times come
End or the beginning no aim

Passengers were on seats
Passersby were in streets
Driver is on the seat
I am also on my seat

All they know their aim
I don't have a plan
Left or the right same
Just for the pass time

and the powers that be
paves the way to Tabon

gravel is hauled and poured
fitting the wider version of the road

everything is slippery during the rain
the farmer slides and his basket of fruits roll on the hill

after election time
the road shall be what it used to be

In fifth Avenue

In the mornings I see Jane passing
and how she walks away,
in the street
and gets smaller and smaller in the distance

The lingering afternoon hours
slowly past
and the postman
draws the barking dogs,
before he rides leisurely
away with his bicycle.

When the sun gets low in the late afternoon
and I park behind the house,
I hear a gate opening
and she greets while she walks by.
