Letting Go Of Sadness

I let go
All my sadness
to the edge of dusk
Among disappearing
twilights

Twilights of our lives

Twilights, dim obscurities of the seasons,
An opaque morning, our diffused selves in afternoons
We entwine, we have promises in these uncertainties
We see a hundred more sunsets and sunrises coming out
From the slits of our folded hands,
The morning twilights the afternoon twilights of our lives
We always love the glow; we ride in the dusk that slides
Over night skies, we descend to the lights of morning
The two of us ushering as pure as the clear lights of noon,
Whole and lovely still, then we heat & burn and then
We shall, the two of us still like twilights, finally dim then die.

At The Edge Of The Edge Of The Edge

AT THE EDGE OF THE EDGE OF THE EDGE

At the edge of the edge of the edge
There is another invisible edge
And this too has an edge and another edge
Edges unending
Beyond our comprehension
Waiting for us to fall down and down-

On the edge of the edge of the edge
I write on
Has the great descent already begun
And am I in the midst of it
As I pretend to go on?

On The Edge Of The Edge Of The Edge

ON THE EDGE OF THE EDGE OF THE EDGE

On the edge of the edge of the edge
There is nowhere to go-
Home is lost,
And all the distances have broken down-
One cannot move
One can only fear-

On the edge of the edge of the edge
Falling is fear-
And holding one’s ground
One step at a time
Is a small miracle
One is not sure
One can make alone.

On the edge of the edge of the edge-

Sad

dusk to dusk
this sadness
carries a shade
the heart finds
hard to bear

the melancholy
scarlet of dusk
an artist keenly
touches up to portray
the remaining
breaths of the day

the soft breeze
carries your soft sigh
and carress
to bid me farewell

the quiet dusk is
choked with
my longings
for you while divinity
witholds its
consolations
and looks at me
through blood shot eyes
a breathless
conflagration of
copper red,
orange and gold

Goliaths Disarm Their Davids

Bible arm on social hell
Spins its downward spiral
With each year of unprogression
A fine of failure is added
Closer than ever to the edge
A feat in resident martyrs
Strong objects track my body,
My body down
Eyes, disappearing rebirth of light...
Between a labrynth of errors
And the key to the suicide era
Digging through the graves of giants
Words fly to me
A lonely road, like a promise
Failing miserably
Running through like an alphabet of hate
To shake the entire organism closer than ever,
Ever to the edge
Eyes, disappearing rebirth of light...
Between a labrynth of errors
And the key to the suicide era
I kill for the code to disarm this mess
Of psychotic chaos that once I mixed up myself
Disarm

Soyinka, At The Tip Of My Hair

I don't really
consider myself

a poet,

it just came out
purely by accident.

i just fell down
from a
stair
down to the
grassy ground

and that started
the first poem
to another poem to another poem

like a stair leading me
to nowhere

but there is no
fear really
just this
sense of comfort
and beauty

all around the dusk
and twilights
of my moments

Sadness Is Twilight

SADNESS IS TWILIGHT

Sadness is twilight
Sadness is old age
Sadness is the waiting
For one who will not come-
Sadness is this fading inside
This sinking we cannot define-
Sadness is this sadness
This loss of all meaning
And all rhyme.
Sadness is sadness
Fading and decline.

After Watching A Trailer Of Amelie

the piano plays in the dark
it is inside my mind
every note of it
i see the old man still on his trembling fingers
the sound of his music clings in the ears
of my heart

she died a long time ago
it is his inability to accept things as they are
that makes his fingers sing

it is this sadness in his heart
that makes his solitude as beautiful as ever
verily like the face of the woman he loves

it is this darkness that keeps all lights open
dusk, twilights, trailing blazes of needles of peeping light
penetrating the shutters of his window

at the end when he dies
i look at the face of the room again
stained with so much sorrow
artistically
priced without much value
the onlookers laugh
i don't
precisely i know the story and i want to write
this one
all over again
not on paper but inside my mind
my soul is the pen
my heart bleeds on paper

Edge Of A Broken Heart

And there I stood, just like a soldier
I was tough, until I saw her
I said hello, but she just turned away
Hey romeo, whatcha doin with my girl,
Who are you using now, well I turn and walk away (turn and walk away)
Im gonna please her, now you can believe it
Ill be there to catch her when she falls
Oooo, here I am (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im a man (on the edge of a broken heart)
Here we stand (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can cause you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the outside, looking inside
Youre with him, whos on the wrong side now
Do you still think of me
Ive tried to call, but no one answers
Two silhouettes, a private dancer
Lights go dim, as the music starts to fade, away (turn and walk away)
Im the one who needs you, now you can believe it
Ill be there to catch you when you fall
Ooo you better believe Im the man (on the edge of a broken heart)
Here I am (on the edge of a broken heart)
And we stand (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can cause you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Solo
Ooohh
And when I hold out my hands Ill be reaching for you
I give it all that Ive got, thats all I can do
When youre waiting for love
Ill be waiting for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
Only for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
Oh baby for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can, you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (of a broken, broken, broken broken, broken, broken, broken)

My Sadness Sleeps With Me

MY SADNESS SLEEPS WITH ME

My sadness sleeps with me
It wakes with me
It sings with me
My sadness walks with me
And smiles with me
And laughs with me
My sadness stays with me
And does not want to go anywhere without me
My sadness is me
And I am my sadness
All the way
To the end
Sadness in me as my sad friend.

On The Edge Of My Old Age

ON THE EDGE OF MY OLD AGE

On the edge of my old age
A strange calm comes to me
I have done what I have done
Whatever it be.

On the edge of my old age
Anger is my soul
I have not climbed the mountain
And now I’m far too old.

On the edge of my old age
I still wait to see
What will become
Of all I dreamed.

On the edge of my old age
Joy in my life
I have written for years
And still love to write

On the edge of my old age
Still striving to be
I must strive with more courage
No matter what be

On the edge of my old age
The omnipresent fear
A pained burden forever
A mind unclear.

On the edge of my old age
Enjoying my little life
Praying for grandchildren
For my children and wife.

Early Works - Woodland Silence

The light that dawn brought
now fades as dusk returns
with it comes a soft breeze
that whispers to the trees
as lovers walk hand in hand
through twilights wonderland
the birds in the trees that sang
now rest their heads in sleep
as in the woodland silence
there is heard not a peep.

My Mother Said

one day
as i almost
died laughing my

mother said
not to laugh
out loud because

the volume
of my laughter
shall be
the same
volume
of sadness
and tears
that follows
after

take moderation
she said
do not howl
or wail

do not have
a brouhaha

take the
little giggle
and the smile
take
the little pinch
of pain

in happiness
and sadness
let there
be caution

like day
and night
not so glaring
not so gloomy

live in twilight
stay in dusk

Fields of Soria

Hills of silver plate,
grey heights, dark red rocks
through which the Duero bends
its crossbow arc
round Soria, shadowed oaks,
stone dry-lands, naked mountains,
white roads and river poplars,
twilights of Soria, warlike and mystical,
today I feel, for you,
in my hearts depths, sadness,
sadness of love! Fields of Soria,
where it seems the stones have dreams,
you go with me! Hills of silver plate,
grey heights, dark red rocks.

Out Of The Cradle

It's not a place
It's a yearning
It's not a race
It's a journey
It's not an act
It's attraction
It's not a style
It's an action
It's a dream for the waking
It's a flower touched by flame
It's a gift for the giving
It's a power with a hundred names
Surge of energy, spark of inspiration
The breath of love is electricity
Maybe time is bird in flight
Endlessly mocking
Here we come out of the cradle
Endlessly rocking
Endlessly rocking
It's a hand
That rocks the cradle
It's a motion
That swings the sky
It's method on the edge of madness
It's a balance on the edge of a knife
It's a smile on the edge of sadness
It's a dance on the edge of life
Endlessly rocking

Illusionist

Curled 'round my memory
...with your clever trickery
Raw emotions bleed out the same...
Sorrows of yesterdays fairwells
Mere casualties of illusionist blame...

Your Top Hat magic...
Rabbit with a Black Wand...
Disappearing into the dusk...
N'er returning with the Dawn!

The Razors Edge

(razors edge)
(razors)
Theres fighting on the left
And marching on the right
Dont look up in the sky
Youre gonna die of fright
Here comes the razors edge
Youre living on the edge
Dont know wrong from right
Theyre breathing down your neck
Youre running out of lives
And here comes the razors edge
Here comes the razors edge
The razors edge
Razors edge, to raise the dead
Razors edge, to cut to shreds
To raise the dead
Here comes the razors edge
Here comes the razors edge
Well here it comes to cut to shreds
The razors edge
The razors edge [its the razors edge]
Gotta razors edge [well, the razors edge]
Youll be cut to shreds [that youll be cut to shreds]
By the razors edge [gotta razors edge]
Gotta razors edge [by the razors edge]

I Went To Where My Sadness Is

I WENT TO WHERE MY SADNESS IS

I went to where my sadness is
I named it
The naming was not enough
Nothing changed
The sadness only grew deeper and deeper
I went to where my sadness is
It no longer had a name
I tried to find it
I could not
All around me and inside me
It had become who I am
My sadness is my name
And my name now is my sadness.
