Leaving The City Cubicles

it's been quite a time
when i left the cubicles of
the city, when exciting news
comes from the sheets,
and pleasures confined
within the electrical gadgets
of the room,

i am in an island
listening to the band of geese
the trumpet of the conch
the sloshing of the sands
gliding with boats
and dreaming with sea foams

i cover my head with
a straw hat
when the sun is up

at night we gaze in space
figuring the message of
the stars.

i am in an island
and i am in the middle of a struggle

the sound of the wind is not a song
for it is weeping

the sea has become a big mystery
the clouds as usual drift and unconcerned

the sun this morning comes
bringing me the sad news of a destruction

i sit upon the silence of the sands
figuring out the shape of a boat that must soon

take me away from here
out there there must be another island

The Moose and the Goose

The mighty mad moose said to the gentle gliding goose,
“It’s not fair you fly in formation while I suffer much abuse.
Wind and breeze are there as you fly first class.
I’m down here on the ground fighting weeds and grass.”

The flock of geese had just landed for some food and rest,
And here is this mighty mad moose acting like a real pest.
But the head gliding goose had a gentle reply,
“Mighty mad moose you’re upset and I don’t know why.”

“Each year we chart the route for you mighty moose.
We’re the train’s engine, while you have freedom of a caboose.
Pay attention to our direction as we geese pass over;
Then you moose will know the way and have time for clover.”

Sir moose replied, “You fly south for winter and return in spring.
So all I have to do is remember that one important thing.
As I browse through trees and brush, I need to raise my eyes
To see you all as you map our way through the skies.”

The attitude of mighty moose changed from mad to glad,
Since he understood the treasure that he really always had.
As the gentle gliding geese flew off in formation,
Mighty moose smiled and tipped his antlers in appreciation.

Lookin out upon the city lights
And the stars above the ocean
Got my ticket for the midnight plane
And its not easy to leave again
Took my clothes and put them in the bag
Try not to think just yet of leavin

I need headroom,

Some place to rest my head.
I'm gettin' taller,
Thinkin's gettin' smaller,
Time is winnin' out instead.

They're selling everything they can.
And the American flag
Is manufactured in Japan.

They're pourin' billions into Mars.

There're people sleepin' in the street.

I SAID, This misery must end:
Shall I, that am a man and know
that sky and wind are yet my friend,
sit huddled under any blow?
so speaking left the dismal room
and stept into the mother-night
all fill’d with sacred quickening gloom
where the few stars burn’d low and bright,
and darkling on my darkling hill
heard thro’ the beaches’ sullen boom
heroic note of living will
rung trumpet-clear against the fight;
so stood and heard, and rais’d my eyes
erect, that they might drink of space,
and took the night upon my face,
till time and trouble fell away
and all my soul sprang up to feel
as one among the stars that reel
in rhyme on their rejoicing way,
breaking the elder dark, nor stay
but speed beyond each trammelling gyre,
till time and sorrow fall away
and night be wither’d up, and fire
consume the sickness of desire.

Me and poor crusoe are sharing the same fate

Domino

In the glow of the night
The grey of evening fills the room,
Theres no need to look outside,
To see or feel the rain.
Then I reach across to touch her,
But I know that shes not there.
Rain keeps running down the window pane.
Time is running out for me.
Cant you see what you are doing to me?

As I try to pass another long and sleepless night,
A hundred crazy voices call my name,
