Interconnectivity...

there must be a link between
a caterpillar
and the nail

on your theory of inter-connectivity
though we
most of the time burn bridges
break ships
and live on islands
there must be a trace between our
ashes

either those scars
or those new skins

words are growing wings
to fly to you
you have designed cages
however
to keep them
dying

my fingers want to touch your lips
your teeth grit
there is no truth to your bibles
where termites
build their empires...

Necessary to link
All weather connectivity
To link telling truth
Always is a must
Only by telling truth
Always the tongue get
True taste.

Camel may enter
In to the hole of
The needle
Unless one tell truth
It is not possible
To escape from this
Worldly bond.

Be srtaight
Be steady
Be firm
Be truthful
All weather connectivity
Is open with you
And link open.

Ship Song

Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, darling
Every time you come around
Come loose your dogs upon me
And let your hair hang down
You are a little mystery to me
Every time you come around
We talk about it all night long
We define our moral ground
But when I crawl into your arms
Everything comes tumbling down
Your face has fallen sad now
For you know the time is nigh
When I must remove your wings
And you, you must try to fly
Come sail your ships around me
And burn your bridges down
We make a little history, darling
Every time you come around
Come loose your dogs upon me
And let your hair hang down
You are a little mystery to me
Every time you come around

They Cannot Harm Anymore

mother was writing her lesson plan
and i was watching her
beside a lamp, that was then when
there was no electricity yet available in the barrio
the sound of the cicadas were loud and the
lizards keep eating the moth on the ceiling
i touched a wall eaten with termites and asked mother
if termites could do us harm or the wood
finally giving in to the hollowness of their skin
all substances she said have their terminals
wood surrender to the greed of termites
and termites build their own empires under the earth
so she said do not complain if this house
that we live in soon fall to the ground and be nothing
but flanks of rotten memories
the law of nature is there
we are all temporary
nothing lasts forever
those that eat and those that are eaten
are but part of their
paths to destiny.

fate cannot harm, they serve the law
and everything has a purpose unique on its own.
i look upon my blank sheet of paper
and then i begin to write again.

We Once Had All These

bridges that fell down to the river
roads that end
dead,
ships that sink and touch
the bottom of
the ocean
abandoned houses
forests and murky waters of the lake
misty mornings
foggy nights
floating states and nowhere thoughts
fists clenched
sewn lips, bored teeth,
bound legs, and tangled hair
bruises and wounds
scars and fluffy eyes
deaths in November
a December that failed to connect.

False Teeth - A Children's Poem

Our teacher had false teeth;
She kept them in a box
Inside the classroom cupboard
Which she forgot to lock,
So we broke in at break-time
And took them out to play.
They fell into a puddle
And turned a muddy grey.

We gave them back to teacher;
She had to grit her teeth
Or, rather, to de-grit them
For grit was underneath
Under the muddy covering
Mixed with her chewing gum.
This made her gums quite tender;
She didn’t find it fun.

But later we regretted
The mischief that we’d made;
When lessons stopped for playtime,
Our teacher soon explained
That punishment must fit the crime
So, for our evil sin,
Just like her now-cleaned gnashers,
She had to keep us in.

Back Of Your Mouth

The worms they crack like words and
turn you teeth up and run, leave.
I'm all drinks.
so I clean
I fall down.
should I fit these.
so politely.
all praises sugar coated.
looking between her mouth and mine.
I got scars from dirty scratches.
scabs and ashes.
the back of your mouth.
In this exchange I often touch myself,
so go ahead and let those dirty words pass right through me.
just passing through.
not stopping by.
not saying hi.
girl you can't kill a liar.
You throw up everywhere now.
enjoy the cup and coffee.
I am the puddle.
make me.
dancing hoes and stagnance. okay.
these words are sugar coated.
crossed up they still cut out to touch.
got scars from dirty scratches.
scabs and ashes.
the back of your mouth.
In this exchange I often touch myself,
so go ahead and let those dirty words pass right through me.
just passing through.
not stopping by.
not saying hi.
girl you can't kill a liar.
You can't kill...
In this exchange I often touch myself,
so go ahead and let those dirty words pass right through me.
just passing through.
not stopping by.
not saying hi.
girl you can't kill a liar.

Papa's Bitter Words

the bitter words
from papa
a long time ago
are the bridges
of my
islands, and as i recall
each words
the islands interconnect
to find myself
whole

and then when i finally
understood his message
i visited his
grave and i said
thank you
for the time and the
effort
of hurting me.

i have seen
for once the light of
my darkest nights.

To Emily Dickinson

Dear Emily, my tears would burn your page,
But for the fire-dry line that makes them burn—
Burning my eyes, my fingers, while I turn
Singly the words that crease my heart with age.
If I could make some tortured pilgrimage
Through words or Time. or the blank pain of Doom
And kneel before you as you found your tomb,
Then I might rise to face my heritage.

Yours was an empty upland solitude
Bleached to the powder of a dying name;
The mind, lost in a word’s lost certitude
That faded as the fading footsteps came
To trace an epilogue to words grown odd
In that hard argument which led to God.

Emanating

Embody me, my majesty.
Strengthen these delicate veins.
For morbidity, for the holy.
For the innocents that were slain.
Angelic royals, angelic rebels.
Emanate from these hands.
Separate the herd.
Break the lockstep.
Cleanse the ultimate sin.

Liberate the flesh-eaters.
Unchain them one by one.
Infect them with virtuous wisdom.
Burn their oppressive slave ships when you're done.
Empires built from ashes.
Of darkness and of light.
The beauty they inspire.
Eerily equal in hindsight.

Taking A Glance At You

taking a glance at you
is poetry in itself, by itself and for itself.

there are words in my eyes
they speak in silence. They long to tell you what i feel.

there are hands on my lips. There are fingers there.
They long to go near you and kiss your lips too.

i see you as words too. Your eyes are images of my
own happiness. Your lips are shaping the shapes of ships
and they have sails to take me away to ecstacies.

i feel you as words of love, and lust and desire insatiable.
my fingers want to read every syllable in your face.

you have always been my poem. And there are so many of you
in all of them.

words, and images, and ecstacies. faces and compositions.
i love all of them. And this time i take a glance again.
at you. this poem. this is you. Believe me.

Of thousands of others, nearer the centre of the explosion, there was no trace. They vanished. The theory in Hiroshima is that the atomic heat was so great that they burned instantly to ashes - except that there were no ashes.

The Burn

Chorus:
Bad is better than the burn
Some people never learn
Bad is better than the burn
Ill take the blame its my mistake
One heart goes free one heart just aches
Its an easy kill within my range
I made the break honey you kept the pain
And yesterday means nothin to me now (doesnt matter)
Ill keep it hid youll live somehow
Bad is better than the burn
Truth is better than a lie
Some people never learn
Bad is better than the burn
I fished loves kiss from the wishing well
Wound up in heaven stayed around for hell
Its a common crime to live this lie
I see no point after love has died
Ill be the one who said good-bye (oh yeah)
And Ill take the heat for the tears you cry
Bad is better than the burn
Truth is better than a lie
Some people never learn
Bad is better than the burn
Bad is better than the burn
Or the hurt thats hidden in the heart
They say you pay with what you earn
Bad is better than the burn
Cold is the shoulder that turns away
Curses the man on judgment day
Damned by the brand done too soon
Crawled out of this house and howled at the moon
(guitar solo)
And yesterday means nothing to me now
Ill keep it hid, youll live somehow
Bad is better than the burn
Some people never learn
Bad is better than the burn
Bad is better than the burn
Truth is better than a lie
Some people never learn
Bad is better than the burn
Bad is better than the burn...

How Can I Tell The Yellow Daisy?

how can i tell the yellow daisy about the sad truth that her fingers
that long to touch the blue clouds high up in the sky cannot be hers?

how can i tell her that she is just wasting her fleeting time and feelings
trying to touch that which cannot be touched by her fingers because

their worlds are far apart because the sun will not allow it because
she is just this tiny little daisy that grows wildly in my little garden?

how can i ever tell her that love too has rules? that love too can be
too painful and most of the time addressed to indifference: unrequited?

how can i ever tell her that like her i am also in pain in longing and dying?

We burn bridges
everyday of our lives
so we can leave

Then we go on

Wireless.

Now to those who search the deep,

Gleam of Hope
and
Kindly Light,

Once, before you turn to sleep,
Breathe a message through the night.
Never doubt that they'll receive it.
Send it, once, and you'll believe it.

Wrecks that burn against the stars,
Decks where death is wallowing green,
Snare the breath among their spars,
Hear the flickering threads between,
Quick, through all the storms that blind them,
Quick with worlds that rush to find them.

Think you those aerial wires
Whisper more than spirits may ?
Think you that our strong desires
Touch no distance when we pray ?
Think you that no wings are flying
'Twixt the living and the dying ?

Inland, here, upon your knees,
You shall breathe from urgent lips,
Round the ships that guard your seas,
Fleet on fleet of angel ships ;
Yea, the guarded may so bless them .
That no terrors can distress them.

You shall guide the darkling prow,
Kneeling thus-and far inland-
You shall touch the storm-beat brow
Gently as a spirit-hand.
Even a blindfold prayer may speed them,
And a little child may lead them.

Dance A Multi-Coloured Dance Of Rainbow

Words can fail like magnets not sticking to the fridge
and we all complain when the rent is due again.
Pay your bills and meet the obligations of
the world, never mind attending to the
payment of your soul.

The new voice is speaking, the new religion
has been announced. We are to celebrate
everything and tradition we are to renounce.
Dance a multi-coloured dance of rainbow
prisms and inter-faith delusions.

We are to ignore the truth of the Gospel
for too many find that it offends. We must
not have complaining and so we must merge
into one blend. Let the fires burn so
brightly as we burn away the words
we do not like. Dance a multi-coloured
dance of rainbow prisms and
inter-faith delusions.

Men should not sleep with women, for
that is not the way the new voices want
it to be. Instead they should seek male
partners and live in illusions of
conformity. We must not call a spade
a spade for in doing so we ignore
the new mindset.
Dance a multi-coloured dance of rainbow
prisms and inter-faith delusions.

No need to wave flags for we must
not cause nationalism to exist. Only
one nation is right and that is the
propaganda we must believe. So we
watch our televsions and rejoice
in the latest American war.
Dance a multi-coloured dance of rainbow
prisms and inter-faith delusions.

The parade has begun, and the marchers
have lined up like soliders in a drill.
The banners are ready ot wave, the
sound of music will soon flood the
streets. We will march for equality
and conform ourselves to a plastic
sheeted state of being. Dance a
multi-coloured dance of rainbow
prisms and inter-faith delusions.

And though the old ways will not die,
we will pretend they do not matter.
We will surrender ourselves to
immoral methods of existing. We
will speak only of politically correct
topics and we shall never disagree.

Dance a multi-coloured dance of rainbow
prisms and inter-faith delusions.

Love Me Tender Love Me True

once i said these words
and you loved me so

time betrays true hearts
lovers fall out
like snowflakes from
oaks

now i do not bother saying
these
but how i wish to be back
there

under the cloak of the night
the jewel moon
for given the chance
i must say these words again

how swiftly the wings of time fly
how hollow are the structures of words
the termites finally win

Bring Your Happiness Here

When you think about what is right!
Does it keep you up through the night?
Are you feeling your light go dim...
And you're afraid of the darkness,
Moving in?

Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Grit your teeth,
And keep your lips shut tight!
Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Go home and lock all your doors...
And relax your mind tonight!

When you see that things are falling apart,
And in your heart you want it to come...
To a stop!
And politicians seem to lie everyday.
You don't know what to believe,
Or want to hear what they say!

But,
Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Grit your teeth,
And keep your lips shut tight!
Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Go home and lock all your doors...
And relax your mind tonight!

Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Enjoy the moment for what it is.
Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Don't spend another second squeezing out,
More...
Of your charity tears!

No babe!
Oh babe!
Enjoy the moment for what it is.
No babe!
Oh babe!
Remove all that grumbling...
Get up!
Get out and live.

Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Get up.
Get out.
And bring your happiness here!

Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Get up.
Get out.
And bring your happiness here!

Oh babe!
Oh babe!
Remove all that grumbling...
Get up!
Get out and live.

Oh babe!
Remove all that grumbling...
Get up!
Get out and live.

Oh babe!
Get up.
Get out.
And bring your happiness here!

'I would like with you to 'Samba'

Get up.
Get out.
And bring your happiness here!

Strange Same Dogma

Burn the witches. Burn the witches
Don't take time to sew the stitches
Burn the witches. Burn the witches
Don't take time to sew the stitches
Hand shake, ring sign, snake eye, bite mine
Hand shake, ring sign, snake eye, bite mine
I don't need your hate
I decide my fate
Burn your bridges. Burn your bridges
Don't take time to sew the stitches
Burn your bridges. Burn your bridges
Don't take time to sew the stitches

Encephalitis

Shutter to think of truth
Slivers of faith and glass
Ashes land on my tongue
This land is not the last

Stutter and utter words
These that thine thou wouldst save
Make fun of having fun
When we are all afraid

Here in my coma eye
Better to burn the truth
Ashes land on my lungs
The sweet sickly smell of truth

Drown and still air comes in
Poison dipped poison skin
Heroin in her mouth
Eyes like the back of south

Psion and I am sane
Your words still haunt my name
But I am safer now
I am too weird to bow
