I do not
I do not wish to talk
Today
There is so much
Contempt in so much
Familiarity,
We know it. We will not like it.
We should not betray
This friendship with so much
Talk,
Senseless, and too tiring.
Let our silence miss us for a while.
Like we think somewhere else.
Like simply listening to what these heavy downpour
Of rain is telling us,
Something wet and wild and
Wonderful.
God is making a lot of noise. This heavy rain.

Heavy Rain (Not Again)
Heavy rain
Not again
Washing on the line
(Not mine)
Clean the car
How brave you are
Heavy rain
What a pain
Try the beach
It's within reach
The lawn to mow
Where did the sun go
Heavy rain
What a bane
Walk today
That's the way
A bike ride
Why stay inside
Heavy rain
Not again

The Heavy Rain
the heavy rain makes you stop
and you knock on my door
and i open it, and then we
talk about a lot of things about
us, our family, our lands and
ways of surviving the hardships
of this present day life, i offer
you coffee and cookies and
we talk some more about
the future, politics and economics
and religion and philosophy and
poetry. And then the rain stops.
the conversation ends. You
say thank you.You are leaving
now. You are like the rain.
I am like the door. We are
like the conversations. And
we know when to stop and
where to begin again. It is
the heavy rain. It stopped.

Heavy Rain
Heavy rain, lightning too
Heavy rain, when Im with you
Seems like a thousand years
Since we both felt free
Weve seen a million faces
All staring at you and me
But just like humphrey bogart said
Before he passed out on his bed
Heres looking at you kid
And the rocky road ahead
Heavy rain, lightning too
Heavy rain when Im with you
You know the thunder comes like a lions roar
But it leaves me now
When you walk out the door
Listen to that northern wind
Its singing a sad old song
A melody so sick and tired
Been blowing much too long
Aint it time to feel the weather change
You know its overdue
Love is gone, we cant go on
Pretending old is new
Rain down
And the daylight comes
As a sweet surprise
Heavy rain
Filling up my eyes
Heavy rain

Heavy Weather
(michael sembello)
In the news today
Heavy weather
Oh, I can remember
The skies were so blue
That lucky old moon I promised to you
Now its gone lately
Somethings happening
I dont understand
Oh, how come decembers
Are hotter that june?
And how come the flowers
Dont know when to bloom?
Somethings wrong, people
Somethings happening
Happening where we live
The rising smoke against an endless sea of cars
As mother nature gets another senseless scar
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
The rain is falling harder each day
The faces keep changing
But the problem remains
Somethings wrong, people
Right before our eyes
Weve been hypnotized
The sound of silence
Broken by the sound of war
How can we heal
If we keep opening up the sore?
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
Will we ever hear the message?
Read the signs?
Stop all this talking now
Its time to save our lives
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy...
The road ahead keeps leading back again
The train were on is coming to an end
Lets open up our eyes
In the world today
Were heading for some heavy weather
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather
In the news today
I guess were in for heavy weather

My Sneaking Tears
How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.
My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.
The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…
On equal bearing now were we:
This rain, myself, in harmony.

A Rain To Remember!
Rain lashed out with lightning and thunder!
For every lightning phone also rang without fail!
It continued till I switched off light and went to bed!
Next day morning some death news due to lightning came!
Storm has dissipated but rain lashed now and then;
It's raining time nothing can stop it from falling!
Today there is complete silence prevailing!
Night is cold and wind has stopped after evening
Yet rain warning is given and is expected for 24 hours!
The summer drought without rain is causing so heavy rain now!
Farming fields without rain crops are waiting for rain
A week's rain at least will make it okay now!
When there is no rain we cry for it and when it is there we don't want
Whether we say this or that rain will do the best it can when it comes!

Heavy Cloud No Rain
Turned on the weather man just after the news
I needed sweet rain to wash away my blues
He looked at the chart but he look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Back in time with louis xvi
At the court of the people he was number one
Hed be the bluest blood theyd ever seen
When the king said hi to the guillotine
The royal astrologer was run out of breath
He thought that maybe the rain would postpone his death
He look in sky but he look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Well the land was cracking and the river was dry
All the crops were dying when they ought to be high
So to save his farm from the bankers draft
The farmer took out a book on some old witchcraft
He made a spell and a potion on a midsummers night
He killed a brindled calf in the pale moonlight
He prayed to the sky but he prayed in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Heavy cloud but no rain
The sun wont shine till the clouds are gone
The clouds wont go till their work is done
And every morning youll hear me pray
If only it would rain today
I asked my baby if thered be some way
She said shed save her love for a rainy day
I look in the sky but I look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain

February Rain
To be the mud, the bog, the mire;
To soak the bones in February –
Eons from the autumn shower–
Even from a summer berry!
Sparrows chirp a desperate call,
Darting questions at the cows –
Oblivious to the dousing squall, they
Churn the sludge with pastern ploughs.
The crying air was lost in rhythm:
Drums incessant in the drops;
Not a chance for rainbow prism –
Even if the hammering stops!
Metallic chills entrap machines –
Tractors hushed within the shed.
Inside the house, a full cuisine
To bless with mead – and little said!
But out across the tiring field,
A sodden fox is hunting down
His prey of sorts – but nil of yield;
Perhaps he’ll starve; perhaps he’ll drown.
Still the clouds are hammering,
Hammering home their dreary aim –
A chatterbox in constant yammering,
Drenching all to make a claim.

Lack Of Rain
Lack of Rain
As evening began to fall heavy clouds gathered,
rain tomorrow the meteorologist said, a nice girl
about twenty five years old, and dressed in red.
So the clouds will be hanging about blocking out
stars till the next day when the girl gives the order
for the downpour that will turn into drizzle.
Heavy fighting in Pakistan, didn’t see any rain
though, but billows of black, oily smoke fearful
people trying to flee and a tough talking general.
When morning came it was sunny but quite chilly,
village dogs sat facing the east the meteorologist
had married and wanted a dry honeymoon.

How Do You Talk To Girls
Well Im sick of hanging out on the street
Every saturday night with the boys
Listening to the radios big beat
We crank it just to hear the noise
Yeah we talk about the girls, girls, girls
And we talk, talk, talk all night
Sure were all romeos and casanovas
But we cant seem to get it right
Seems Im making it harder and harder
While everybody else is doing well
I get confused by their bodies
I get tangled in their curls
How do you talk to girls
How do you talk to girls
Whats a poor boy to do
Tell me how do you talk to girls?
How do you talk to girls?
I see this girl over there right away
Im trying to think of something to say
Well I think Ill have one more drink
Ill be ready to make my play
But this guy moves in and he talks to her
And she nods her head
Well Im used to missing out on the girl
But I want to know what he said
Seems Im making it harder and harder
While everybody else is doing well
I get confused by their bodies
I get tangled in their curls
How do you talk to girls?
How do you talk to girls?
Whats a poor boy to do
Im tangled up in their curls
How do you talk to girls?
How do you talk to girls?
Out of wisdom and out of pearls
Tell me how do you talk to girls
Am I stupid or misunderstood
Id say something clever if I only could
Were only ten feet apart
But it feels like the world
How do you talk to girls?
How do you talk to girls?
Out of wisdom and out of pearls
Tell me how do you talk to girls

Me Llamo 'umbrella' My Nymph
how delicious your lips are
like two clouds embraced to rain
a warm rain
as women
a heavy rain
as love
my fear on babies you kiss
they may drown
in your warm..heavy rain
save them by me
save them from you
me llamo
'umbrella'..

Let It Rain!
Rain! Rain!
Let it rain!
Let the rain wash away the pain.
Furious thunder,
Roaring across the sky.
Releasing her anger,
That was kept inside.
Rain! Rain!
Let it rain!
Let the rain wash off the stain.
Heavy raindrops,
Pouring down to the ground.
Expressing her sorrows,
That was held inside
Rain! Rain!
Let it rain!
Let the nature heal the pain.
Violent wind,
Blowing out of control.
Exerting her power,
That was once withheld.
Rain! Rain!
Let it rain!
Soon there will be no more pain.
Mere Passing
the wind came
with an outpouring of a heavy rain
the trees trembled
the wind was strong
and the rain seemed not to stop
as i hid myself behind
the door
and then there was this silence
making a statement
one must suffer gently
sip bitterness
like it is a concoction
of exotic tea

Rain Comes And Goes
rain comes and goes
like a friendship
but rain just disappears when it's over
if rain can be a bad friendship i think we all get it
if it can be a good friendship we don't see it that much, but it comes
if i see it then so will you
if it lands just under your eye and rolls down your cheek
make sure you don't get it mixed up with a tear
because that rain was a break-up
rain describes so much, but mostly sadness
thats why it comes more than sunny days
we all want sunny days but mostly get rain
thats why rain makes us stronger
sun just makes you think nothing bad will happen
but it's not a real friendship if nothing bad happens
thats why we get rain a lot
so if you think about it, it's good for us
but rain will still come and go
like a friendship

Dreaming About A Heavy Rain And Then Waking Up At 3 A.m.
I can tell the details of the sequence
You dream that there was this heavy
Downpour of rain somewhere in crowded
Mong Kok, Hongkong and you ran
For shelter and then stay put and
Begin to use the power of this deep
Silence of a river running within the
Intricate linings of your veins.
You are in the middle of a strange crowd.
You keep looking where you come from
And you finally come to the conclusion
That you are not lost
You dream of a heavy downpour
And you like being wet together
With those that continue to walk.
You wake up so early you want to
Say something and yet she is too tired
Of you and she says
She still wants to get more sleep.
You get out of bed and look over the
Glass window. It is dark and the street
Is empty. You turn on the light on the
Table creating a small island where
In the middle of the light you put
Your mind like a stranger talking
About something that you like to
Understand for once and you do not really like it.
This is where you first decide to write.
This was the beginning of it all and it is still here
With you.
Back to square one. Back to the first syllable.
Back to yourself. The letters of the keyboard
Are as warm as you first once
A long time ago, pressed the vowels.

April Rain
April rain has suddenly come,
With a sudden burst from the heavy clouds,
Washing the dust of February draught,
I stood alone, and all alone with a sad heart.
April rain is falling heavy,
With falling ice, and I felt so chilly,
As the rain fall, my tears are falling too,
In this April rain, hence nobody knew.

The Rain
Come on, where are you, long lost sun,
the rain looks finished, I’m sure its done.
I spoke too soon, its coming down again,
it’s even swamping the house’s drain.
The rain’s surging force as it hits the ground
creates a noise like no other sound.
Our wheelie bin is being beaten like a drum.
Oh, where has that hidden sun gone?
I can’t even see through the windowpane,
it’s covered with huge drops of rain.
Look at it streaming down that outside wall,
the guttering looks about to fall.
There it goes; it’s shattered against the ground
but the rain has dampened its crashing sound.
I keep looking for that cloud break in the sky
for the sun to push through, or at least have a try.
That man on the street looks soaked to the bone,
with no coat or umbrella to shelter him home.
I can now see clearly through the windowpane,
the sun is bursting through the clouds again.
At last, the time has come to go out for some fresh air
the clouds have gone, so there’s no need to despair.
I won’t need to take the umbrella or even my coat,
and I’ll certainly won’t need a rowing boat.
Less than thirty metres from my front door,
and there’s another heavy downpour.
Looking up I just cannot understand why,
there isn’t a cloud in the sky.

Let Us Talk
let us talk
about some things irrelevant
like the rain for instance
how at first the clouds
were dark
yet the rain did not make
it
like a promised vacation
on a far away island
or a camping in the mountain
that did not materialize
we shall elaborate
on the causes
and discuss solutions
and plan
some more about
places
what to do
where to go
let us not talk about
love
a very sensitive matter
that now
we do not have
let us talk and talk and talk
let us not
mention about endings
let us try
recalling about new beginnings
why not? we may like it
you may start it
but take note, i will keep my
mouth shut
i have nothing to say
and if i have any
it may not be good
it may not serve any purpose at all

They Always Ask...
someone yet have to ask
why young man do you talk and talk and talk?
the years weigh heavy on our shoulders
like ploughs and steel balls and iron chains
we grow old and wrinkles grow like
onions in a row
someone yet have to ask again
why all these deep silence for all those years?

Today is a rainy day

I love it always want to say

just let the soft part of world dropping on every face and wall
im wearing a raindropp im clean in the rain
I see my breath blowing in the rain fire in the rain
today is a rainy night
I close my eyes always want to fly
dont whisper it under umbrella
just forget the sounds of silence telling it to me loudly and clear

I pray my soul saved in the rain rise in the rain
