i always find myself
going back
to where i am, on early
mornings, i promise
myself a brand new
beginning, a place where
i shall find myself
exciting, on a new venture
away from here, but i am
always at a loss
the irony of going far away
and not arriving
at what i perceived is my own place, and so
here i am again
watching same shame in the mirror
gazing at my own eyes
shocked that i have never changed,
regrets nesting in my head
lustful eggs hatching
in same shape of sinfulness
i wait until i am

My Home
How do I find my way back?
I've strayed too far from home.
I've gone so many places
for so many days.
I've even been to Rome.
I have seen so many sights now.
It seems to me that somehow
that every place I've ever seen
were places in-between
from the place that is my home.
My search for brand new places
and all those other places
never filled the gap
as I crossed the map,
so far from my sweet home.
For I missed the landscape,
the place that I grew up in.
The old familiar faces
were not in the places I've been.
And now I must retrace my steps.
I've searched this world all over.
Too long I've been a rover.
I'll take a trip on back
for I'm on the wrong track.
I wonder what I'll find at my home?
Nothing seems the same now.
Familiarity has changed somehow,
except for the peace I feel around me.

Butterfly
Butterfly flitting about beneath my eyes,
you never seem to climb the highest highs.
Your wings seem to gently caress the air
lifting and lowering you wherever you care.
Fluttering here and there above the ground
minding your own business without a sound.
Your composure shows the way that you have fun,
after visiting a flower you rest and bathe in the sun.
You never display signs of urgency or haste
in your search for a nesting place.
Are you seeking somewhere specific to settle
perhaps in a hedgerow or on a stinging nettle?

What Happens Next? .....
for now i do not go to church
and hear Sunday mass,
i am coming back as always
early morning
and late at night and between
my busy hours
to savor this forbidden place
with no other objective and wish
that i be finally bored
in this kind of hell
choice and find this place later on
to be horrible
seriously, and sincerely
from the inner conviction of my mind
so i may never find myself

and then finally i tell myself
now i am convinced

The Hiding Place
you have been here
you must remember
i am back and i shall
have no regrets
this is my hiding place
with no description
it is only you knowing this
knowing me
knowing what is this all about
this comfort of silence
this longing unsatisfied
this dreams unrealized
nature does not weep
it simply grows and blooms
like everybody else
you and i do not belong
to the open
we are not overlooking
the sea
we are inside this cave
deep down in its dampness

People here say it's worth the wait.
But I’m putting that subject up for debate.
We waited three hours to wait some more
to be disappointed in what we waited for.
In that line is an evil place.
I bet you can't find one smile on a face.
The tickle of sweat on the brow annoys,
guaranteed to kill these people’s joys.
The whole wait long you have to stand
Sharp back aches and children's demands
From lack of sun screen your skin will burn
as you pray for it to be your turn.
The people near you only complain
about how this wait is such a pain.
Not realizing they're the ones who make
standing here make our head’s ache.

how long do we have to wait

i feel this burning inside
a feeling that no one should know
this could be so good again
