Forgiving Thoughts

i am seeing
fettered fingers

vine stuck upon
a huge rock

i am feeling the
roughness of

rugged dry
river stone

there is a cliff
someone wants

to jump and
smash

what is left of
broken memories

i tell myself
frankly

it could be me
but my brain is numb

and thoughts come
explaining

things are more
beautiful

when they are
too forgiven.

Your Struggles And My Own

we climb this cliff
and up there let us see
what is best for us
you think about something else
like jumping off
while i stay and ponder
about the meaning of the
climbing the significance
of cliffs

if you jump off and you
think you fly away like a bird
just like that
that is your choice

if i remain here like
a stone or a vine or a worm
and think that there is something here
worth the stay
that is my choice too

oh, you fly away like a bird
and i am left
with all the guilt you are leaving me

how can you be so
treacherous and so unkind?

Father And Son

For quite a time you sail
Like a paper boat on this river
Then you want a change
In these little things you get
You feel you deserve
To fly and be this kite
On air and face the
Rage of storms
You are proud of it
Claiming you have managed
Yourself so well

Sufficient, until the cord was
Cut,
Now I have to find you
where You landed
With some broken bones
From this cliff
To the rugged terrains
Of that mountain

Dry River Bed

The river- was, but died away,
leaving behind sand and stone,
a dry river bed.

The river that once led the way,
To Rameses throne,
Has no more life- dead.

The river from which reeds grew and swayed,
now dead and gone,
all that's left-a dry river bed.

The river that was marvelous by day,
and treacherous once the sun was gone,
is now but a dri river bed.

The river- beautiful, no words could say,
left behind - just a dry river bed.

Where Is The River?

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or somewhere else

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or hidden under the ground

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or safe inside the cave

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or still far away

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or up above the cloud

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or out of our reach

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or trickling on the rock

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or gathering in the pool

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or down over the cliff

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or just sight of illusion

Where is the river?
Is it here
Running in your eyes

Where is the river?
Is it here
Or sudden flood in the road

Can’t Jibe With All Of You

an oil dropping in
a basin of water
i cannot jibe as
another usual sound
in this noisy
chatter

i want to be
a silent stone by
the river
but i cannot be this
every moment
till my death

and so i fly away like
that black bird from
your mouth
i hover upon
a rock on the side
of the cliff
feeling the clouds
drifting away....

Sola Sistim

Come get some orange juice, it's great.
[repeated throughout the song, each time in different speaker]
My eyes burn naked,
my black cold numbers,
my insecurities,
my devious nature,
make it go away.
My rest between rubber,
my spider shadow,
my shattered dancer.
Beautiful, broken,
my crystal fingers,
beautiful, broken,
my crystal fingers.
My glass like rain,
my illumination,
my cracks are sliding,
shaker, feather,
rubber, duster,
cold, cool,
your fingers, broken,
beautiful, wonderful,
paper flaps,
how you love,
love to love,
love and stitch,
shaker, rubber, striper.
Beautiful, broken,
my crystal fingers,
beautiful, broken,
my crystal fingers.

Seeking Refuge

'And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.'
- T.S. Eliot

you have gone that far to the edge of that cliff
where you now stand
to explore all the possibilities of touching a cloud
and now that you are touching
this cotton dream
you are feeling nothing at all
you look down
below your feet to that village near the equator
that you left years ago
and you think finally that everything amounts to nothing
except that pink cotton candy
that you once tasted
as the best metaphor
for your dream-cloud
your cotton dream
so sweet to your teeth

come to think of it
it is never too late to build this bridge
rather than jump
and die in that muddy river
just below the cliff
where you are now
still standing

Rock & Roll Feeling

Written by james young, john curulewski
Lead vocals by james young
Well i've got this crazy feeling
It's a sickness in my soul
Well i can't play no 9 to 5 games
Hangin' loose is all i know
I get a buzz when i think about ya
Riding high's where i belong
Gonna get my things together
So if you want come on along
It's a good feeling
It's a rock and roll feeling
It's a good feeling
It's a rock and roll feeling
Yeah yeah yeah
Well you know that i am coming
And i'm already on my way
So baby don't you worry 'bout tomorrow
You know it seems like a month away
Well we got here just this morning
And we're goin' at the light of dawn
Well we've only got a short time
So mama won't you keep things going strong
It's a good feeling
It's a rock and roll feeling
It's a good feeling
It's a rock and roll feeling
Yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah
[guitar solo]
It's a good feeling (good feeling)
It's a rock and roll feeling
It's a good feeling (good feeling)

Rock & Roll Pussy

Beat it, beat it, beat your guitar
Smash it, smash it, til it sees stars
Rip it, rip it, rip it to shreds
Throw down your axe and then jump into bed
Get up, get up, get up and see
Revolution on the tv
Will you, will you, get your nails dirty
Or are you only just a rock and roll pussy

It Was Meant To Be

With both of your legs broken in a car smash and in plaster and in agony
And one of your friends even tell you don't worry it was meant to be
For it could be worse you could be in a wheelchair as if you had karma to pay
And you to help out other people have often gone out of your way.

His words to you don't sound consoling and he doesn't give you much sympathy
But if he had to suffer like you do he might not say it was
meant to be
He might not say that things could be far worse and unlike you he might complain
How can you know how one is feeling when you've never been through their pain.

He's not been through the trauma of a car smash and he's never had broken bones
And he's never known the aches of bad injuries the aches that give rise to the groans
You've got to know the pain yourself first before you can give sympathy
And only one who himself has not suffered can say that it was meant to be.

You've gone out of your way to help others and you always do the best you can
And those who know you they tell others that you are a good and kind man
But with both your legs broken in a car smash one of your friends doesn't offer much sympathy
When he says to you things could be far worse and don't worry it was meant to be.

Forget the pain and start believing
Peace and love surrounding earth
Respect to my mum who gave me birth
Butterflies are moving fast
Is this the last love look of last
Heavier as ever, rhymes quite clever
Respect to the world, its time for whatever
Stimilate the feeling you got inside
Hold me down so we can take a ride
Hoaw my month for you to enjoy
Wave your hands in the air and jump for joy

My Beloved Guitar

The long solid neck,
With flowing, refinded strings.
A base of cherry; finished wood.
Defined in figure, exquisite;
Among other things.
Shaped with a curve,
Set down in my lap.
I picked up my guitar,
And made my fingers tap.
A symphony from,
Those melodic strings.
Part of my hearts amour.
My fingers graze along,
This coppery and bronze decor.
A roughness they slide.
Along the ends;
Roughness on my fingertips.
A sliding; an arry of refreshing sounds.
One that echos into the bottem,
And emerges to astound.
My arm embraces the frame work,
A base of refined finished wood.
Tuned to a sound,
Like a guitar should.
My fingers cradle those melodic stings.
The light strum of my hand,
Makes music;
The guitar sings.
From the mouth of a speaker.
Out comes a tune.
With a cadence strum.
Fingers pressed down,
Out the music comes.
A symphony from,
This rhythmic harmony.
A tone in my soul.
A note that's always been apart of me.
A feeling I once knew.
I recall, a sound in the distance.
A beauty that plays so smooth.
Shaped with a curve,
Set down in my lap;
I picked up my guitar.
It slowly starts to come back.
That feeling, I'll never forget.
I recall, a sound not so far.
I recall, the feeling that day;
The day I picked up my beloved guitar.

As A Perfume

As a perfume doth remain
In the folds where it hath lain,
So the thought of you, remaining
Deeply folded in my brain,
Will not leave me: all things leave me:
You remain.

Other thoughts may come and go,
Other moments I may know
That shall waft me, in their going,
As a breath blown to and fro,
Fragrant memories: fragrant memories
Come and go.

Only thoughts of you remain
In my heart where they have lain,
Perfumed thoughts of you, remaining,
A hid sweetness, in my brain.
Others leave me: all things leave me:
You remain.

You kill the River not the Fish

waste dump makes us numb, plant grows
made us a calm, river flows lead us to glow in
the Lilies where they want go

beautiful fish as it swim, in the fresh water
it flaps; breathing as it dances, waiting to
see the angler hook, in a beautiful sway you
are always seen

gills so shinny, bone so flexible to cook, eyes
that looks like a golden moon in the gloomy
nights you will always stay

jump, jump and jump follow the rhythms of
the stream; almost going near to the sea, where
your heart sings and leads me to be happy

as the river goes out its way, turbid where
nobody wants to fish, everyday faces wants
to tease; it’s the clear water you always dump
makes me ugly, for each waste makes me
so funny

why are you not so sensitive to my calls, where
your eyes in fact is not big as me, you’ve made
me lost, nay! the food that is sweet and plenty,
serve and give the table now is empty

look at me now, my eyes is blind in your hands;
accept that you’re not so lucky for the
river now seems not for everybody; they’re all
dead and you come to me to beg

please listen first to my flee …..

My little playful monkeys

My little monkeys in the forest are all funny
As usual they jump from vine to vine
And fall and rise, and fall from river to river,
My little monkeys with little tails with little
Mouths and tiny baby-like hands, they wink
And play and chase and run and almost like bats
Flying from top to top of treetops from branch
To branch to twigs to twigs, all these cute
Little monkeys so playfully playful in the forest,
In my mind, I play with all of them throughout
The day, till noon, till afternoon, till nights even,

But no, when darkness comes, these cute little
Monkeys all return to bigger higher trees where
Their big monkey-mothers and big-monkey-fathers
Wait and care for them and all hide them in their arms.

And I am all left alone, like little Tarzan boy in an empty cave
feeling so deserted and betrayed.

The Stone

there is something about the stone
that i have been complaining
for not being able to understand
its choice to be silent
and hard
and numb and uncommitted
when it is thrown in the river
it makes no sound of protest
when it is ground
it does not scream
when the rain comes it seems
to be contented with being wet
just the same when the sun shines
and heats it
it makes no bother

until some naughty boy takes a stone
and hits my head
and when i begin to bleed
seeing the very stone used
staring at me without guilt
for any responsibility at all
on the ground
that i begin to understand all these things

what a stone is, how come that a stone shall always be
a stone
no matter what.
