Forbidden

something forbidden
becomes so delicious in the mind
the suspense of deprivation
makes it more desirable

everyday desire takes
upon itself what is forbidden
in the secret room
of the heart
guilt cries but

soon the guilt by extreme need
of the flesh
erases itself like the list
of unwanted friends

everyday what is forbidden is done
until such point
when what is forbidden becomes
a routine
until what is forbidden becomes
the usual familiarity
nothing about what is forbidden
becomes interesting

and then sin does not exist
until the good becomes the forbidden
in the silent room of your heart

Forbidden Fruit

all the forbidden fruit I ever
dreamt of--or was taught to
resist and fear--ripens and
blossoms under the palms of my
hands as they uncover and explore
you--and in the most secret
corners of my heart as it discovers
and adores you--the forbidden fruit
of forgiveness--the forbidden fruit
of finally feeling the happiness
you were afraid you didn't deserve--
the forbidden fruit of my life's labor
--the just payment I have avoided
since my father taught me how--
the forbidden fruit of the secret
language of our survivors' souls as
they unfold each others secret
ballots--the ones where we voted
for our first secret desires to come
true--there's so much more
I want to say to you--but for
the first time in my life I'm at
a loss for words--because
(I understand at last)
I don't need them
to be heard by you.

Forbidden Fruit

Sometimes fruit
is forbidden
one must
look
away.

Like Eve in the
garden
forbidden
fruit
on
display.

Little did she
know
the price
she
would pay.

Forbidden fruit
forever
sometimes
dreams
go
astray.

Forbidden Fruit

Oscar brown jr
Eve and adam had a garden everything was great
Till one day a boy says pardon miss my name is snake
See that apple over yonder if youll take a bite
You and adam both are bound to have some fun tonight
Go on and eat forbidden fruit
Its mighty sweet forbidden fruit
Its quite a treat forbidden fruit
Go ahead and taste it you dont wanna waste it
The lord had said in the beginning everything is free
Except that apple that leads to sinning so let that apple be
But eve got tempted so she tried it and as all chicks do
Teaser her man till he decided hed just try some too
Go on and eat forbidden fruit
Its mighty sweet forbidden fruit
Its quite a treat forbidden fruit
Go ahead and bite it I bet youd be delighted
I hate to tell you all what followed the lord was most upset
Saw them making love and hollered what have you to add
And when they made a full confession the lord said hm I see
I guess Ill have to teach you a lesson about not minding me
Go on and eat forbidden fruit
Its mighty sweet forbidden fruit
Its quite a treat forbidden fruit
Youre all indebted now you gonna get it
The lord made eve adams madam have his kids and all
Placed some labour laws on adam and he made the snake to fall
Ever since the days of eden folks been sinful my
Nowadays theyre even eating apples in their pie
Go on and eat forbidden fruit
Its mighty sweet forbidden fruit
Its quite a treat forbidden fruit
Go ahead and taste it you dont wanna waste it
Oh go ahead and bite it I bet youd be delighted
You always did it now youll gonna get it
Forbidden fruit

Forbidden Love You Are

You wasn't suppose to happen
I'm not even sure what I feel inside of me
You came to me so fast my love
You tell me this was meant to be
Forbidden Love you are
You speak in riddles to me
I somehow lose control watching you
Your voice completes me somehow
But I really don't know what to do
Forbidden Love You Are
I can't give you the right answer
Surely we know we must be discreet
You seem to understand me well
But we must watch when we meet
Forbidden Love You Are

Hermann Hesse

...each of us has to find out for himself what is permitted and what is forbidden - forbidden for him. It is possible for one never to transgress a single law and still be a bastard. And vice versa. Actually it's only a question of convenience. Those who are too lazy and comfortable to think for themselves and be their own judges obey the laws. Others sense their own laws within them things are forbidden to them that every honorable man will do any day in the year and other things are allowed to them that are generally despised. Each person must stand on his own feet.

What Could Have Been Forgotten

what you have
is not forbidden

a white porcelain cup placed on
top of a glazed saucer

the jasmine tea that
you sip slowly
as light fades away

the decent decorum of
well numbered
propriety

they never taste
that good

they are what others
are used to do
without so much thinking

it is the everyday
routine that
has taken away what
makes life
so alive & interesting
like some games that
we recently know
and begin to play

mornings are same
mornings

nights even with
all the stars
glistening
remain boring

the air tastes bland
its coldness is getting to
be scary

there is something
to what is forbidden

that is what we yet
do not know

others who regret
all those that they did
for once and for more
broke their hearts into pieces

when they sit beside
the window
watching cars passing
by
one by one
watching people
en masse
busy going and
going
like the ticking of the
hands of the clock

they will not tell
you
that despite the
brokenness
despite the still uncollected
pieces

the excitement
of what was forbidden and which
they did with so much
haste

still reclaims upon
itself
the untold
glory
the climax of a series
of existences
which time buries
so deeply in the dust bins of
personal histories

so that they
can all be
forgotten

Forbidden

come with us and play!
see, we have breasts as women!
from your tents by the sea
come play with us: it is forbidden
come with us and play!
lo, bare, straight legs in the water!
by our boats we stay
then swimming away
come to us: it is forbidden!
come with us and play!
see, we are as tall as women!
our eyes are keen:
our hair is bright:
our voices speak outright:
we revel in the sea's green!
come play: it is forbidden!

The Room That Was Locked

we talk about nothing last night
and for the past few nights about the room that was locked.
long time ago, even the mere mention of that room
they remember, the old folks always reminded us
of the penalties, for the mere use of words,
and there was fear and there was the suppressed silence
that eventually bothered each of those who thought about it,

except for one man, who one day, with all his anger,
got a bit piece of wood, the one left by the termites,
and hit the room that was always locked, and when its
door was broken, they all went it, to know what secret lies
inside the abandoned room that was forbidden.

to their aghast, there is nothing there.
except perhaps, the mere fear about its being forbidden.

Forbidden Kiss

The taste still lingers on my lips
I feel it's presence there
A forbidden kiss

A kiss so sweet
And one so pure
This kiss that plays across my lips
One that will linger there
For all eternity

My true love's kiss
His one, his only
His final kiss
That sealed our fates
And claimed his life

A kiss of life
A kiss of death
One kiss
That will last
For all eternity
In death

One forbidden kiss
Of two star crossed lovers
Fated to love
Fated to die

A kiss of light
A kiss of darkness
One of an angel
One of a demon
A sweet, forbidden kiss

An eternal kiss
That seemed to last but a moment in time
One that will haunt me for a life time
A seal of death
A broken heart
All because of
That forbidden kiss...

Concentrate On Beauty

Within an ancient palace of Beijing’s Forbidden City
lies a hall that is endowed
to literary glory:
to understand its story,
you must leave the madding crowd
and, cultivated, concentrate on beauty without pity.

Written while visiting an exhibition from the Forbidden City at the Bowers’ Museum in Santa Ana. Within the Forbidden City there are halls dedicated to earthly tranquility, mental cultivation, supreme harmony, benevolent harmony and concentrated beauty.

Yet, so far from laboring to know the forbidden tree of worldly pleasures and its various fruits, man gives himself up to a careless and thoughtless state of life, and yields to the lust of the flesh, not considering that this lust is really the forbidden tree.

Forbidden Love!

I cannot hold you close to my being
Forbidden love!
Nor can hope
For your love in return.
But try as much as I do
Can not just wipe you
off from my mind.
At times I think that's pretty dumb
At others
As I try it
my heart goes numb!

I cannot ever look into your eyes
Forbidden love!
Nor can dream
For me, you ever
would be there.
But try as much as I do
Can not just turn and walk away,
At times i think its okay,
This insanity!
At others,
I pity going waste
This long guarded sanity.

At times
I ask myself
What are you to me anyway?
Just another stranger,
Unknown face in the crowd.
At others
Something tells me
You are the only thing, everything
left for me,
of me,
in this strange, unknown world.

In love,
Forbidden love!
at times
I do not live
Neither in peace I die.
But at others
I often wish
If I could once,
Just once,
Hold you closest to my heart
break down in pieces,
and in wails could cry,
yes,
my countless, unshed tears.
O my love!
For once,
If I could just cry.-anjali

Is This You? Sept 18th,2012

You may have a chance between dying with chemo or cancer,
Not a nice question, I know, so no need to come up with an answer,
Because in Canada, you are not allowed death with dignity,
Let's hope that your future does not have this indignity.

The lady dying of Lou Gehrig's disease asked but was forbidden,
Was refused by appointees whose decisions can't be overridden,
Therefore Canadians are forbidden death with dignity,
A graphic lack of democracy and all done instantly.

And when a problem arrives, it cannot be recognized,
Because everything is perfect and you didn't even realize,
And those who want death with dignity will have to go away,
Referendums are forbidden too but aristocrats can stay.

What Democracy?

Media moguls announce our democracy every day,
It's only natural because this is Canada, they say,
Even though we're not allowed to elect someone to our Senate,
So much for our democracy on our Canadian planet.

And appointees to the Supreme Court come from a secret list,
So secret that we are forbidden to read, help or assist,
And death with dignity is completely and utterly forbidden,
They did it to Sue Rodriguez and the reasons were hidden.

We have no recall for drunken or idiot politicians,
These aristocrats can't be recalled because of their positions,
Therefore they want to maintain the political status quo,
So much for our democracy in this political game show.

Dearly is lovely.

To woo a woman, forbidden and formidable,
And pine endlessly for her union, though in vain,
Rather than indulging in sex with one, accessible,
Is everlasting superb. She is hence to me ever dear.

Corporal love lasts not;
Forbidden love ends not;
Formidable love rests not.

Doubtful

Early,
It is one,
Forbidden food in heaven.

Later,
Too many forbidden food,
In earth.

Now,
They are coming everywhere,
In every action of life,
With every mind that come as devil,
This is all devil foods.

I am afraid of eating the devil foods,
If I eat, I am not dying,
But I am going to hell

If I let they go,
They flies away with the angel wings
And I am starving to death,
Doing nothing.

Forbidden Fruit

There's a game you wanna play
There's a risk you would like to take
But words can't change what you feel inside
There'll be no going back from here
I'm scared it'll lead to tears
Patience, boy, and I will decide
If your kiss is sweet enough
If I wanna feel your touch
You should know I can read your mind
If the deal is worth the pain
If you just won't die of shame
I am tempted to try
If you taste this fruit forbidden to eat
You can drink this wine from a love so deep
I dance for you
Let you come within
If you swear to me that it ain't no sin
There's a world you wanna know
There's a place you wanna go
Take your time and love will delight
There're wonders everywhere
Their mysteries to share
Be gentle, boy, and it will be alright
If you taste this fruit forbidden to eat
You can drink this wine from a love so deep
I dance for you
Let you come within
If you swear to me that it ain't no sin
If you taste this fruit forbidden to eat
You can drink this wine from a love so deep
I dance for you
Let you come within
If you swear to me that it ain't no sin
You wanna taste it
Oh, if you swear to me
If you taste this fruit forbidden to eat
You can drink this wine from a love so deep
Love so deep
I dance for you
Let you come within
If you swear to me that it ain't no sin
If you taste this fruit forbidden to eat
You can drink this wine from a love so deep
Love so deep
I dance for you
Let you come within
If you swear to me that it ain't no sin
Wanna taste it
Love so deep
I wanna dance for you
I wanna taste it
I wanna taste it
I wanna taste it
I wanna taste it
I wanna taste it

Passion Lost or Found

The passion for life I had surrendered
The passion for love I could not remember
I felt like passion was now and fore ever forbidden
I kept myself entangled and hidden
From the world I felt was so unforgiving
Till a stranger walked in at the beginning of December
As I looked at him I said to my self no that's forbidden
Then i asked my self do i dare or shall i surrender
Then my passion for love had been unbroken
Then i knew I was in control of the world that was so unforgiving
With tears in my eyes and my stranger at my side
My hopes and dreams drowned all my sorrows in to the night
Then all of a sudden my hopes and dreams came back to me never again to be forbidden or taken back......
