for Ester

when you read a poem, my poem included,
try to see a universe, do not neglect the plight of other planets
they keep on orbiting a void, out there some stars burst,
and from the point of no return, from the place where we are seated
just below the black blanket of our dark nights
we simply see a falling star
and they, what we do not know is that a lot of commotion happens
out there
explosions, changes, and annihilation and rebirths of
new galaxies, space shrinking and then expanding again
like our sorrows and significant risings
like the sun everyday rising and setting,

i repeat, what we only see is the falling star
and all that we can do, is simply make a wish.

you think that someone is lost and having hang-ups
(and perhaps needs medication for relief, like advil
or xanor, or perhaps a simple aspirin to smoothen what
lag is there on the veins and arteries)

well, i like to say that i have to disagree, but who knows
you may be right.

did i once tell you that i am okay?

Today I Read The Poem About Falling

today let me tell you i read about falling
contained in your poem which sounds like
zen,
something metaphysical from the point of view
of taoism
which likely you must have learned so well while you were in Tibet
when you studied in Thailand
when you spent sometime contemplating on the ruins
of Myanmar

you tell me that not everything that falls
reaches the ground
some of them simply dissolve in the air
and the hands and palms of the earth
waiting
actually receives nothing
like snowflakes overrun by summer heat
like your sighs simply dissolving in the clouds

but at the conclusion you were honest enough
to admit that some are simply falling
and keep on falling
and falling
to some depths
of infinity
on an eternal abyss
that even time
has no power to catch
and hold them

they just keep on
falling
it is their nature
agape, askance,
behold!

Somewhere

somewhere you speak of a star
bigger
thirty times
than our star and you say
you have seen it from your
telescope
where you stand
how the star explodes
and then
gone, leaving just a space,
a patch of
black dot
in your eyes,

i do not wish to understand you further
with your calculations
about the risks, the dangers, the consequences
of what happens
in that distant sky

here i am in my daily cares, i remember
feeding corn to the chickens, or cleaning my car, or
frying my cues,
or simply sitting by the stair
and just merely looking at the passing butterfly
hovering
in the summer air

what do i know about distance?
what do i care about distant stars
how they explode and how
the space starts to become empty, and grow another star again?

what i know of is simple enough
i do not know you
anymore, and i think, i am about to explode
and i think
i may become empty like what you are telling me
about that space left by the exploding star

and i am afraid
i am the kind of person
in this place
of the universe
that does not know how to grow a star again
after an explosion

My Sugar Coated Star

Look into my eyes; you’ll see a reflection of yourself, filling my inner space
There you’ll see one star that I so much embrace
A stellar phenomenon with the sunniest shine
Filling my heart with the rarest minerals to mine

One dazzling star that eclipse from the rest, No Jupiter, nor no Mars
This goes beyond the most incredible stars
24 Years ago a new star have been born
Precious and rare, she lights up my dawn

Darkness have traveled light years through my veins
Black holes reeling asteroids to my domains
This star had an atmosphere made of gold
That made each and every asteroid fold

Orbiting and lost into space
This is the unknown that I have to face
Take my hand and fly with me
I am blind and need ‘you to see

You’re warmth have lead me into the Milky Way
This is the place where I have to stay
A star that is made from the sweetest sugar crust
That I’ll love till the day I turn to dust...

First Star I See

Shes the one Id like to meet,
The Girl from my First Star seen,
But the nights been full of clowds
to dark to see,
left blind no light for me,
a black sweater pull over the night sky
and Im not wishing anything.

Till She came along,
Star above now Star on earth,
Took my hand,
went for a ride,
and we just watched the world spin by,
like two diamonds in the sky.

the Heavens open wide,
and In the cold black sky,
Stars once more begin to rise,
Smiling, it seems upon my wish.

But I fear tonight I made
another wish, a prayer from my broken lips,
will the stars above reclaim
the one that seemed to fall toward me,
or can my silent protest keep,
that which be so dear to me,
will this gift, this chance persist,
or shall it fly, a comit on the winds,
a falling star seen not caught,
travling through this timeless void.

She's the one Id like to meet,
a wish that travels mindlessly,
never caring when it lands,
how long it stays, nor if it mends,
for likely she shall leave again,
Once more to be,
First Star i See...

Star Alone Star

star
alone star
shining, twinkling, moving
just being what you are;
star alone star
though watching minds make of you a meaning
a wish, or a symbol
but alone star you are simply what you are;
star alone star
unlike men, women
unlike intelligence that must form and associate
who must be this or that
conditioned and grown and nurtured
and shaped
and programmed;
but you star
alone star
not like this or that
but simply natural, what you are

Falling Stars.

Only a falling star!
What was it to him
If millions of mortals were
Hurled down the dim
Dark void to the abyss?
His world was this.
Only a falling star!
The Earth was sure
To outlive him at least:
Whatever were
Their fates who yonder passed,
His star would last!
Only a falling star!
What if some day
The Earth, as in a flash,
Too, passed away,
Would, say, a Mars-man sigh
As we flamed by?
Only a world gone out
With all its care —
God! but a speck at most
In Thy great air,
As 'twere an insect's breath
Breathed out in death.

The Ten Stars

In the motion of the universe,
The rotation of planets,
The conjuction of the wind,
There my sight witnesses,
The opposition of stars
Rare but wonderfully made

I count the stars and make my wish,
My summit shall i reach,
With her in poverty i'm rich
Im a happy man,
I saw ten stars

Star number one,
Besides you let there be none,
Star number two,
To love you more, never a few,
Star number three,
My love unto you for free
Star number four,
The love we built to never fall,
Star number five,
Wish all things but mostly life
How wonderful are they, ten stars

In this lonely night my heart beats faster,
I make wishes, but they are not my master,
I point the stars and make wishes,
How beautiful are they, ten stars

Star number six,
So shall our foes fall by the axe
Star number seven,
Against all odds we remain even
Star number eight,
We shall so grow above heights,
Star number nine,
Of course, , to remain mine
Star number ten
I wish to make hundred wishes per day
How beautiful are they, ten stars

A Foolish Star

A very young star was winking one night,
It captured an audience way below its sight.

It was above, its subjects below,
It had to reach them with a captive show.

How could it span the great distance in space,
So the earth would always recognize this star's face?

There was also the moon it had to outshine,
It wanted to be able to say, the universe is mine.

The star figured out if it turned on the charm,
It would be applauded and adored by all who were born.

It got carried away with its last encore,
It's final, awesome sight was a falling star.

All through time, the greatest of all,
Was not missed till its downfall.

Then it was forgotten and lost in space,
Because another upcoming star took its place.

The Galaxies

the galaxies drift
the stars are swimming in the ocean
of space
it is dark but all the planets are feeling confident
there are laws to follow
there will be no collisions
the big bang was so terrible
some stars explode
on the other hand another galaxy is born
somewhere in space
all these
meteors and stars and earths
paradise
in random chaos
we must all know
is still the best poem
ever

you see? the stars over there
they are twinkling
they agree and do not question

Somewhere Out There

Last time I talked to you,
You were lonely and out of place.
You were looking down on me,
Lost out in space.
Laid underneath the stars,
Strung out and feeling brave.
Watch the riddles glow,
Watch them float away.
Down here in the atmosphere,
Garbage and city lights,
You gotta save your tired soul,
You gotta save our lives.
Turn on the radio,
To find you on sattellite,
Im waiting for the sky to fall,
Im waiting for a sign.
All we are is all so far.
Youre falling back to me,
The star that I cant see.
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling out of reach,
Defying gravity,
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Hope you remember me,
When youre homesick and need a change.
I miss your purple hair,
I miss the way you taste.
I know youll come back someday,
On a bed of nails awake.
Im praying that you dont burn out,
Or fade away.
All we are is all so far
Youre falling back to me,
The star that I cant see.
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling out of reach,
Defying gravity,
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling back to me,
The star that I cant see.
I know youre out there, oh.
Youre falling out of reach,
Defying gravity....
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling back to me,
The star that I cant see.
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling out of reach,
Defying gravity,
I know youre out there,
Somewhere out there.
Youre falling back to me.
Well I know,
I know.
Youre falling out of reach.
I know...

The Poem's Truth Is That It Says More Than It Knows

THE POEM’S TRUTH IS THAT IT SAYS MORE THAN IT KNOWS

The poem’s truth is that it says more than it knows
That it goes beyond its own intention
That it means in more than only one way
The poem’s truth is its hidden music
And the melody it plays through and beyond our listening
A poem’s truth answers itself in endless questions and ambiguities
No wonder no one simply reads these simple words
As if they were simply written.

Fall (Herbst)

The leaves are falling, falling as from far,
from wilting in the heavens' farthest gardens:
They're falling to negate the summer's mirth.

And in the nights the heavy Earth
falls into solitude from star to star.

We all are falling. This my hand here bends.
And look at others: Fall's in all their calling.

And yet there's One, who's holding all this falling
forever tender in His upturned hands...

Falling At Your Feet

Every chip from every cup
Every promise given up
Every reason that's not enough
Is falling, falling at your feet
Every band elastic limit
Every race when there's nothing in it
Every winner that has lost their ticket
Is falling, falling at your feet
I've come crawling, falling at your feet
Everyone who needs a friend
Every life that has no end
Every knee not ready to bend
Is falling, falling at your feet
I've come crawling, now I'm falling at your feet
All fall down
All the manic days
The faces that you pull
All the x-rays not under your control
The graffiti rolling down off of your tongue
And the compromise you make for someone
Every teenage with acne
Every face that's spoiled by beauty
Every adult tamed by duty
Are all falling at your feet
Every foot in every face
Every cop stop that finds the grace
Every prisoner in the Maze
Every hand that needs an ace
Is falling, falling at your feet
I've come crawling, now I'm falling at your feet
All fall down
All the books you never read
Just started
All the meals you rushed
And never tasted
Every eye closed by a bruise
Every player who just can't lose
Every pop star hurling abuse
Every drunk back on the booze
All falling at your feet, all falling at your feet
All fall down
All the information
All the big ideas
All the radio waves
On electronic seas
How to navigate
How to simply be
Don't know when to wait
Explain simplicity
In whom shall I trust?
How might I be still?
Teach me to surrender
Not my will, THY will

I Am Not Alone In My Poem- Am I?

I AM NOT ALONE IN MY POEM- AM I?

I am not alone in my poem- am I?
You You are with me in my Poem
You are my Poem.
And I? I am simply the mouth the voice the vehicle
Though which the sounds are written and saved.
You You are the Poem
And the All- Praise
And I am the one going away forever.
While You You Stay For Everyone Everywhere
You You the Reader and The Writer of All
And I I the simple sharer disappear.

this POEM assures YOU that....

this POEM is not
a product of a philosophical quibbling
not a part of guidance
and counseling like what sometimes
nagging mothers do
not a scolding like what fathers do
to their sons who are feeling lost
and unwanted
this poem shall not ask you to confess
your sins
like what religions do
calling for this and that
for absolution and deliverance
or purification
neither will this poem be a doctor
giving you the cure
for whatever sickness you have
this poem when you read it
till the last simply assures you
that you are not alone

when you read even if you do not try to understand
there is this comfort
that in our loneliness we are never alone

The Stars Are Brightest

i

the stars are brightest
on the deep blackness
of the night

ii

not on those brightest days
can you feel the glitter
of a single star

iii

no on the deep scarlet of our grief
can we for once
change into stars
show that our hearts glow
like diamonds
in the ocean floor of our
sorrows

iv

twinkle, glitter, glow
there is also meaning and beauty
in this sorrow

v

we do not have to be mud
others have turned to the god of the rocks
we can be stars
meteors shooting brightness in dark space
galaxies expanding
to build a new world

we can be suns of glory when others explode
and be gone for worst

Love of the stars

On the suburb of the Universe

the Beta star has lighted up.

I am here to make a verse

For those who are grown up.

His Majesty the Alpha star has seen her

and has fallen in love at first sight.

His nights has become so bright,

and somewhere even white.

At once he has sent her a ray of love

wishing to be her beloved.

Her Excellency the Beta star

has received that ray of love

and was so happy.

She flashed brighter,

her life has become lighter.

She has sent the ray of love in return

and her heart began to burn.

His Majesty the Alpha star

has accepted the ray of love from her

and went on to transfer his love.

He was so happy and has sent her a passionate kiss

for her to remember him and miss.

The Beta star has sent a passionate kiss in return,

and their passionate kisses have met in the Universe,

and of course, have flashed with passion.

They gave birth to so many new stars,

later they’ve become czars

in the sky, in the world

which is always twirled,

their love occupied the whole Universe and our Earth.

Now, every certain period of time,

the Alpha star and the Beta star

come to each other

as close as their orbits allow.

This fact we have to avow.

Creating new stars their closeness has become a magnetic one,

magnetic storms of love.

Every time when they approach to each other,

They both begin to spin,

to spin faster and without a sin,

always knowing:

every meeting will be a win.

Their forces become stronger,

and when they finally release their energy,

they send it to all the planets.

the Sun starts shining brighter,

the Moon and the Earth

and the whole Universe are in the rays of love.

Did this poem catch your eye?
If so I hope not to disappoint.
To begin like the others.
Making it as simple as possible.
An easy read.
Nothing like me.
Line by line.
Calming the tides.
Writing till the point and rhymes subsides.
Words biting the empty space.
One by one strung together to fill the void.
Now that you read this are you kind of annoyed?

I See Stars

I saw a star in Venice
I saw a star tonight
I saw a star falling then regain its flight.
I saw a star in Rio

I saw a star in you
I saw a star twinkling in different shades of blue.
I saw a star in Heaven
I saw a star in Hell
But never did I see a star twinkling on my world.

I've seen a star fading
I've seen it cross the sky
I've seen so many different stars trying not to die
I've seen them come together

I've watched them grow apart
I have seen so many stars in a lovers heart.
I've seen the stars exploding
I've seen the quiet and calm

I've heard them whisper secrets in a world full of harm
I saw a star twinkling in different shades of blue
But never in all my life have i seen a star like you...
