For A Friend Who Is Also Struggling Out There

it is still 3 o'clock in the afternoon. iT is raining heavily
outside as we still keep busy with our own business
inside this courtroom.

two lawyers arguing on a point. I am listening.
the accused sits there, his life is at stake.
the mother is tense. two mothers.
THE mother of the complainant
who cries that her daughter is a victim
of rape. The mother of the accused who rebuts
that his son is just framed-up by the real
culprits who are still-at-large.

the glass windows of the court
muted the sound of the heavy rain.
but the way the trees are swaying to and fro
like a pendulum of a grandfather's clock
very well tells that there is a bad weather
outside this courtroom.

a river of faces faces me. i look at the eyes
of the room, the windows cased in glass
as the rain is maimed wanting to get in
as though trying to say that it has also
something to say about the matters
discussed inside this closed room.

the world is always asking, what is the truth?
it reminds us, there is only one truth and the
rest are lies. I keep on trying to learn from it.

the argument has always been:
everyone is a victim, and no one wins this game

of a legal play. sometimes the guilty is set free
and the innocent is put to prison.

there will be cries of the wind. In a closed court
like this, one cannot really hear the sound of its cries.
I am trying to figure out. Each word. The words of the
wind and the muted sounds of the rain.

THE hammer shall fall and it shall fall heavily.
Can this poem help me? Are emotions aids?

Many mouths shall shape the words. Each lip makes
a reading of itself. There will be whispers and murmurs.
There will be calls and cries and hounding sounds.

I sleep at night soundly. My conscience shall be my pillow.
There will be dreams handed to me by the gods.

As i write this, think also of my own journey, my own sorrows.
In the battles outside and inside us, a closed room vis-a-vis
the outside cries of the wind and the rain, i want to simply tell you, , ,

keep moving on. We move on too, with our own busy lives.

When A Mother Cries

When a mother cries,
Her tears stab at her daughter’s heart
As they plummet to the floor

When a mother cries
Her daughter cries too
She cries because she does not know what is wrong
She cries because she can’t get rid of her mother’s pain
She cries most of all because she loves her mother

When a daughter cries because her mother cries
Her mother cries more
She cries because her pain has hurt her daughter
She cries because she does not want to see her daughter cry because of her

Raining On The Inside

When all goodbyes
Are said and done,
And nighttime finds you home,
Are you all right
To spend a night
Of being all alone?
And do you hide
Between the lines
Of conversations past?
A wall of words,
A heart unheard,
That hides behind a mask?
Im raining on the inside;
My heart wells up with tears that start to pour.
Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.
When friends who care
Cant be there
To ease away my pain,
And peace of mind,
Its hard to find,
Like sunlight in the rain.
God sees my heart,
The deepest part,
Inside this lonely me,
And reachin in,
His love begins
To heal the heart in me.
Im raining on the inside;
Oh, my heart weels up with tears that start to pour.
Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.
Sometimes were raining on the inside,
And our hearts well up with tears that start to pour.
But when were raining on the inside,
Let his cries of love break through,
Know that he loves you, once more....
Sometimes Im raining on the inside,
But then your cries of love break through,
And I fall in love with you once more.

Outside And Inside

this early morning
the rains are raging
outside is a rampage of
blown leaves and trees
you are afraid may
finally be uprooted

in the room
the brown dog sleeps
beside a wooden wall
on the floor

the glass doors
& windows are closed
the silence reigns

inside you begin
on another journey
you began last night
on some short breaths
until you think
you had a nice sleep

inside there is something
that rages
it is not the wind or the rain
it is something else
that you want to know
more & more

Mother Sky Cries

Mother sky cries when the leaves turn from green to gold
Mother sky cries when the leaves die and the weather turns cold
Mother sky cries when the earth turns warm and the body sweats
Mother sky cries and leaves the heart scorned and the skin wet
Mother sky cries and father cloud mourns
Mother sky cries and baby flower is born

Did You Say The Weather Is Not Fine?

i didn't know really that it is always raining.
most of my time is spent inside my room.
inside my self. inside the marrow of my bones.

i do not like the rain. Or any news of it.
I do not go outside, i may meet the rain and
i told you
i do not like any rain, or any sound of the rain.

i am inside myself. And there is no rain anymore.
and of course, the weather is always fine
deep inside this miniature world of fine weathers
that i make myself.

just fine. and too small for any kind of rain.
clouds don't fit in here.

The Sounds

i heard the sound of the clock ticking
some things come
i am remembering these some things
burnt, and melting in my forehead,
i like the sound of the ticking of grandfather's
clock at night, i hear footsteps
and drippings of water
from the gutter to the floor

the window is closed and the wind makes
the sound of someone caught between
door jambs, creaking sounds creeping
on the wall, something is terrible, really terrible
and i turn my body to the left side,

there is this storm, and the strong rain comes
with the grunting wind, and trees are falling
unto each other, i hear leaves and twigs,
and the roof wanting to leave the house,

something is terribly happening on this night
of the suicidal darkness, the shimmer of the river
looks like a stainless knife

who's there? i ask the door. The mirror on the other
side answers, how dare you?

it is nobody. it is just myself, my mouth answers.

A Certain Preference On Early Mornings...

sometimes forgive me
but i do not like to hear bird chirping by my window
on early mornings for honestly i prefer
the silent sounds of the wind
from the sea,

and so when i hear those chirping birds
perching on the tree
those still feeding their fledgelings
i exercise that right of having to close my
glass windows
preferring once again
the privacy of my room and the exclusion of the
outside world
by the curtains and then i begin to sip my coffee
reading a poem
listening to the words seeping like rain to the
hair of my own soul.....

When Love Cries

Baby you
turned my world into something new
nights are long when you're far away
hunger for you every night and day
whisper softly to the wind
need you back in my arms again
passion calls from deep inside
it only happens when my love cries

You make my heart sing (x3)
when love cries
you make my heart sing (x3)
when love cries...love cries...love cries

And when I am blue
close my eyes and dream of you
silent echoes scream out your name
you're the keeper of my flame
I'll survive on desire
'til I'm closer to your burning fire
ride a star across the sky
I need you here when my love cries

You make my heart sing (x3)
when love cries
you make my heart sing (x3)
when love cries...love cries
you make my hear sing (x6)
when love cries

Ooh baby
to be near you
just to feel you

Baby

When The Rain Stopped Falling

there is this heavy rain
falling on top of your roof and it is so disturbing
that you wake up
and lock your windows
to shut yourself away from the sounds
of falling

but you cannot help worrying even when you cannot
literally hear the sound of the falling rain

you still imagine how they fall inside your mind
as though you can hear every syllable that every neddle of rain
is pricking in your brain
your ears
and your eyes still have the image of these
series of fallings

that even if the rain finally stopped
and you open your window to check
in the middle of this time
when morning cracks fromt the shutters of your windows

you still think like crazy
you hear the sound of the wind and it is like the sound of the falling
rain
and even if the wind has left like a leaf flown to the eastern side
of your house
even if there is no shadow of the leaf anymore
you hear your heart falling from your chest

now you must accept
leaving.
now you must accept the pain.
do not deny it.

it is you that is falling out
from the grace of her love.
it is you.

cry it out!
shout it!
it is you.!
it is you!
it is not the rain, it is not the wind, it is not the leaf that was blown away
towards the eastern part of the house.it is not the design of the house.
it is not the purple curtains. it is not the lonely courtyard
it is not the red bowl. it is not the tower.
it is not the blank sheets of paper.
it is not the bell.
it is not the winding stairs.
it is not the dirty garage.
it is not the scaffold.
it is not the white paint.
it is not the doorbell.
it is not the turbulence of the plane.
it is not the slap of the hand.
it is not the blue fan.
it is not the cellophance floating in the air and whirling in that corner
a dead-end.

it is you! and that is the truth!
be calm now. wipe the tears.
try sleep and dream.

Upon Writing This Poem

you see, everyone is asleep
and the rain pours heavily on the tin roof of this old house
the white dog lays with its four legs facing the ceiling
feeling so contented
i closed the glass windows
and let the brown curtains fall
on the floor
as i begin to write the words i am not thinking of anybody else
is there someone still who is special to remember
during a heavy rain on a night like this when i am already alone by
myself?
i still have a suspended answer to all these questions
or perhaps they have no answers still
for the past 30 years
now with some white hairs and extended forehead
i am at home with myself
and no rain how heavy and how long
can instill in me the fear
of its monotonous sound
my feet have roots and my hands have tendrils
my head is a big sunflower
and the void out there is such a beautiful greenfield
on a limitless horizon
this world is an open window
this earth is a big boat
and i am now the sailor expectant of islands
and welcoming ports
bustling cities
diamond lights
starry skies.

End of Innocence By Christina Montona

Secret, Secrets
Lies, Lies
She sits in her room
and Cries and Cries
There’s no more trust
In this girl’s heart
She finally found out
That life isn’t perfect
She lived in dreams
As children often do
But she crawled out
Into the world everyone knew
Things that once were
The truth of it all
to her was shown
her little heart
will never trust again
she’ll never know
a real true friend
no more trust
for no more lies
she’ll sit in her room
and cry and cry

Man always cries alone

The woman may turn cold
The child may grow old
But man always cries alone

The world may change dark
The rain may flow high
But man always cries alone

The wolf may shed none
The moon may step down
But man always cries alone

The word may start fade
The people may quickly forget
But man always cries alone

The wound may ache wide
The blood may never dry
But man always cries alone

The will may lose sight
The threat may spread fright
But man always cries alone

Sometimes She Cries

Mercy don't think she's pretty no more
Staring at the stars through her back screen door
She tries and tries to make it all work out
No matter what she does
She's left standin in the middle of doubt
CHORUS
In a lonely night
And in the pourin rain
You can count on me
Sometimes she cries
When shes alone at night
Sometimes she weeps
When she's feeling cold and weak
Sometimes the pain
It tears her up inside
Sometimes she cries
Ooh, I wonder why
Mercy don't have a love no more
Plays with her pillow
Stares at the bedroom floor
Used to have a million
They've come and gone
No matter what she does
She can't figure out what she's doin' wrong
CHORUS
Living, loving, give it everything you've got
After all the heartache
Maybe give love just one more shot, yeah
In a lonely night
And in the pourin rain
The only thing I really wanna know is why
Sometimes she cries
When she's alone at night
Sometimes she weeps
When she's feelin cold and weak
Sometimes the pain
It tears her up inside
Sometimes she cries

Rain drops fall from heaven

Tears swelling up in my eyes every night
Rain drops fall from heaven
Simply a walking disguise in the light
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wondering when i will be alright
Rain drops fall from heaven
Growing so weak no energy to fight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Losing all hope in my mind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing that i could simply unwind
Rain drops fall from heaven

As time goes love makes me blind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i didn't have to leave her behind
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wanting to make everything right
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i could see her in sight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wishing I had the strength to fight
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i could hold her tight
Rain drops fall from heaven

Never knowing if she remembers me
Rain drops fall from heaven
Never know if we were meant to be
Rain drops fall from heaven

Wishing i had more time to see
Rain drops fall from heaven
My family that always loved me
Rain drops fall from heaven

Thinking back to the times we had
Rain drops fall from heaven
Smiles and laughter but yet so sad
Rain drops fall from heaven

Just sitting here all alone
Rain drops fall from heaven
Wishing i was way back home
Rain drops fall from heaven

Now the only thing that is on my mind
Rain drops fall from heaven
Is the memories i have way back in time
Rain drops fall from heaven

The tears from my eyes and deep inside
Rain drops fall from heaven
Matches the drops that come from the sky
Rain drops fall from heaven

If you could even begin to wonder why
Rain drops fall from heaven
It is simply those tears from lies
Rain drops fall from heaven

Every time it rains i stare to the clouds
Rain drops fall from heaven
Hoping one day she will simply fall
Rain drops fall from heaven

Right into my arms where she belongs
Rain drops fall from heaven
So that i can sing her a song
Rain drops fall from heaven

A song that tells her how i feel
Rain drops fall from heaven
A song that is nothing but real
Rain drops fall from heaven

That will be the day that will bring me joy
Rain drops fall from heaven
Too bad it wont happen to this boy
Rain drops fall from my eyes 24/7

Whispers From Other Sky

Cries the night in silence
Covers up the starshine
By the tears of darkness
Cries the night!
Cries the night unaware
Words of pain
Whispers of harassing
Cries the night!
Fade away the rashness
Fall down the mercy plea
With the last shadow
On the earth!
Dying eyes...beholding!
Dying ears...hearing!
Feeling from the other
Other sky!
Whispers from the other sky!!!
Whispers from the other sky!!!
Other sky unknowing
Oh!
Beyond the end
Kingdom of the other
Viskningar!

Amma: the loving Mother

She sits all alone by the same old divine door
Just longing for the days that are blessing for us
And a love that She knew seems not so far away
Like an Amma with divine blessing that'll come ashore

my Dear Mum…….

Somewhere in the east, where a lone bird cries
the quite of the wind in the wide open skies
Lord,
the emptiness around us, just vanish away…..
the grace of mother, when the stars were here

She walks all alone through smiling face
How She longs to us, and feel Her divine touch
And the world that She knew seems so far not away
Oh She wonders deep inside us, a looming touch,

Somewhere long ago in an old forgotten town
When the rain did fall as the sun went down
Oh the sound of the wind like music in the sky
Lord the lines on Her face say it all with a godly, sigh

So She sits all alone crown…….
With a tear in her eyes singing the same old song
Om Namasivaya……….
Oh her heart can bear all sorrows of you, the time fades away
Just a soul in the dark with no place to belong.
