Last Night I Was Talking To Myself
last night i was talking to myself
asking and making answers
like the way i make a knot and
then untie them from a cemented
post at the port
so that the wooden boat
may finally be let loose
and be free to sail
to its chosen destination
the sea was so wide
like all seas that you have seen

last night i was formulating solutions
to a very common problem
like how to cure a cold
with just a glass of water

Waves of ocean
Each and every wave of ocean
coming out from foetus of ocean
tries to touch the bank
and again returns to the same destination
from where it came.
Aim of each wave is perhaps
only to touch the bank
is it a play or game
or the goal of life
To touch the bank
they have to rise and fall
several times
Man may rise and fall
and finally may loose
God may not happen it so
but waves are determined
to reach the destination
they are not to loose patience
The storm of ocean even fails
to stop the waves of ocean
but the waves are infinitive

Story of the Boat and the Sea
'Since the unknown time
The Boat heard the call from the Sea
Wings of Gull, blue waves
Took Boat traveled everywhere, all ways
The Boat's soul's filled with hopes
And the Sea's boundless love
Boat went far, further no tiresome
The Sea was still far...so far
Those nights the moon was gentle
The sea was like a girl, who's little

Bomb
With blankness staring back at me
and screaming from the pages
I feel the fear of apathy
gripping me, pushing me
on top of everything
in the corner with a view.
I turn off the fluorescent tubes.
This is the bomb that I've been waiting for (looking for)

At the Colombo port,
The ship came to a halt.
There Swamiji visited monasteries
Of the Hinayana Buddhists
On the way to Singapore
The next halt of his tour,
He saw the descendants
Of their past Malay Pirates.
They were forced to seek
Suitable peaceful work,
With the change of time
Under modern defense system.
At the busy Hong Kong port
He saw in each floating craft,
One entire family lived
With their heavy loads.
Every mother had carried
O’er her back a small child,
With a piece of cloth tied,
While on boat they worked.
At Canton City, Swamiji
Visited a Buddhist Monastery,
Where he was given
A hearty warm reception.
In China and Japan temples,
He saw ancient manuscripts
Written in Bengali scripts,
As the handwork of Buddhists.
The ship crossed then
The deep Pacific Ocean,
And finally arrived at
The Vancouver Port.
He reached by train
The final destination,
Chicago, for the function
To be held there soon.
It was the meeting place
Of Parliament of Religions,
In which, he was one
To speak on Hindu Religion.
At Chicago, he was informed,
That the meeting was postponed,
He was not in the delegate list
And to register, it was too late.
In that unexpected situation,
Swamiji was left alone.
His purse became thin.
To care him, there was none.

A One Man's Show
now, this is my last instruction for you
hear it well: when you travel in this boat
you paddle, there is no machine
your hands are paddles
your boat your body
your steer your foot
now they do not mind you but you speak a lot
and laugh a lot
they will not comment somehow
trusting you
that you know where to go
and what to bring
and when and where to finally stop
the boat and keep it
on the other side of this big river
the point is
you will never know whether you have arrived or not
they just keep on watching
and they will hear every groaning and moaning
that your are making
as though you are making love with
someone invisible
things are complicated finally
at first you proclaim
this is a simple matter and i know fully well what is happening
but that is not the case really
when you arrive there
there will be big changes
clothes change from blue to white
you will grow a beard
and your fingers are no longer proportional to your arms
some things appear smaller than normal
and you being to
shy away from everybody who keeps on seeing you
stalking you
but their mouths are shut
like a wall
that once was a door
things are different now
very complicated
harrowing experiences of doves and bats begin to unfold
some worms scream finally
they shout your name
and you close your ears and
sleep.
the life that they call a stage
lets the curtain fall
it is the end of your show
and they all begin to leave you
alone again.
