Early This Afternoon

i had sleep, lots of sleep this early
afternoon
and so
as normal beings do,
i still claim to be one,
i wake up had a dinner of my own
and watch TV
and go outside the house to
breathe
de-stress distress
and then i go back again to what i
like doing
have a conversation with myself
for i am alone here
and want to give the impression
to the neighbors
that there are people here talking
at midnight

actually, i love these ghosts
inside my mind
they are my friends and have
been with me
for years
before you decided to leave
because you did not not care to notice.

and so like that Chinese poet
i take a bottle of rum for a drink
get a glass to share it with me
and my shadow
and the moon which i had
just invited.

Togetherness Is Gone

My wife,
Stop cleaning the house
Please come here
To accompany me

My husband,
The house is dirty
We aren't able to pay the maid
You've already retired

My wife,
Don't cook
It's a holiday
Let us eat outside the home

My husband,
Don't eat outdoors
We need efficient
You've already retired

My wife,
Let's keep me company
Why the rush to sleep
It's still early

My husband,
I have to get up early
To clean the house
And prepare breakfast

My wife,
I have to go this morning
My friends were waiting
Long we don't meet

My husband,
Be careful on the road
Greetings for your friends
But, why not breakfast?

My wife,
You have fallen asleep last night
I see you sleeping soundly all
I don't have the heart to wake you

My husband,
I'm sorry
I don't welcome you home
But, why should sleep on the sofa?

My wife,
I have to go again
I have social activities
With my old friends

My husband,
Don't forget dinner at home
You look very dapper
Although not wear perfume

My wife,
sorry, we were very busy
I had dinner with friends
Happy dinner, dear

My husband,
I woke up too early
But you're not at home
Where are you?

My wife,
I came home at midnight
I have to go early in the morning
I don't have the heart to wake you

My husband,
I just finished washing clothes
I've found the clothes that you wear today
But, why the smell of perfume?

Intoxicated (Life Of An Alcoholic)

A tear runs down my face
as i stare down this half empty
bottle man i remember back then
so young and pure
where did this days go
i miss the old me but so much
been accomplished can i give it all up
i take a sip as the liquor being to hit
oh man i feel good stress free
i want this feeling to stay so i sip again
yea i sit back and rock back and forth
as they all sleep am still here
haven't left yet as all come rushing back
so i take a bigger sip
and wishes it goes away
heard news about a former class mate died
damn more stress so i
grab the bottle a little harder
as i drink my tears away
missing my family so i drink more
as i sing lullabies to this fragmented glass

Every Morning's Mourning.

Watch you sleep
Dream and roll over
avoid the monsters
and the light
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
when the noise
of fifteen
floors above you
crashes in
and wraps you deeper
in your sheets
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
through every squeak
and smash and ping
as I serenade you
with my awake
and my breakfast
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
with a half-turned
smile on your face
an exposed and naked leg
your hair escaping you
like spilling starlight
Watch you sleep

Watch you sleep
when I kiss
the tiniest sample
of skin on your cheek
and know you wake
when I'm gone
and am gone
until again you sleep

When you wake
Watch you wake
Watch you sleep

And I Under The Moon

The jug and I under the moon
and my lips around the neck of the bottle of wine,
by the moon light is it full of the flowers dew,
I pour the scarcity of each dropp and it's association
against the bamboo and I watch to need the heron it's
crest off i see it go by as a dragons shadow independently.
Moving off, 'Therefore before the lifting of the glass,
I invite you because of our friendship,
revalations are made as to my shadow which then makes up
the moon myself and it's our three.
Is it not known my shadow follows each movement of my body
swaying as the leaves from which the rice it makes is simply.
Moon of moon shining down between shows us company
and my shadow because I am by you for wine maintained,
as to the spring flowing forth nothing is forever
and would be assisted wise are you adjusted too practice
each our lips the neck of the bottle of wine our pleasure.
As for me and as for you the moon I who am I have begun
babmboo in sleep before I go, the stand gently rising,
you dance and the shadow it moves strangely
and with you including swan song.
I' Between; Still you be looking up at the dark sky
moon smiling down and of which you are consciously, moving.
Afterwards, and you rejoice mutually; exclusively then thus do I
and Each one tried where it was, we laid down our heads
friend of moon, knew us drunk to go off searching for the shadow of your friend. Passion is less this night when travelling.
Under the moon and friends are friends, permits that fact, we are.

Who

Every minute passes by
You're always talking
Makes me cry
Finding out the reasons why
I'm needing space get out my ride
Talking about what I do, where I go, who I'm with and why I don't bring you
Think about the times you pushed me
Saying "baby please don't go"
You make me sick
Yeah, yeah
I'll make you lost in
Times before you break my small
You claim you love me, tease me, leave me, hold me, please me
Get off I'm movin on
Cos I'm tryin to take control
Chorus:
But it's you talking dirty
When I'm trying to sleep
And it's you, said you love me
After just one week
Tell me who's always calling on my telephone
Now it's you tryin to tell me
We should take things slow
And you said: "don't go, don't go, please don't go
Please don't leave me, on my own
Don't go, don't go, please don't go
Please don't leave me, on my own"
You're creepin, sneaking, cheating, on me
Leavin, this round,
Gotta end the strike cos it ain't going down
Now you wanna come back, claim you give me a track
I forgive what you do then you want it back
I'm sick of playing this game
I ain't sticking with a claim fame
Stop this, right now
You crossed the line so baby get the hell out
Chorus:
But it's you talking dirty
When I'm trying to sleep
And it's you, said you love me
After just one week (just one week yeah)
Tell me who's always calling on my telephone
Now it's you tryin to tell me
We should take things slow (take things slow)
Chorus:
But it's you talking dirty
When I'm trying to sleep (yeah)
And it's you, said you love me
After just one week (just one week yeah yeah)
Tell me who's always calling on my telephone (telephone)
Now it's you tryin to tell me
We should take things slow (take things slow)
And you said: "don't go, don't go, please don't go (no)
Please don't leave me, on my own (please don't)
Don't go, don't go, please don't go (oh)
Please don't leave me, on my own" (on my own)
Make up your mind boy
Silly games you're always playing
Have no time boy
To sit and chase you
I ain't staying
Well, thinking it's funny
Well, you're spending money
And, every time you wanna get the upper hand remember
I'll be walking away looking cool with my
Matching bag and the jewels that I took
Don't you ever say it's not necessary
Then beg to come back
I ain't having that
Ooh whoa
Chorus:
But it's you talking dirty
When I'm trying to sleep
And it's you, said you love me
After just one week
Tell me who's always calling on my telephone
Now it's you tryin to tell me
We should take things slow (take things slow)
Chorus:
But it's you talking dirty
When I'm trying to sleep
And it's you, said you love me
After just one week (just one week)
Tell me who's always calling on my telephone
(Yes it's you) Now it's you tryin to tell me
We should take things slow (take things slow)
And you said: "don't go, don't go (don't go), please don't go (oh no)
Please don't leave me (on my own), on my own
Don't go, don't go (don't go), please don't go (oh no)
Please don't leave me, on my own" (on my own)

Not Gonna Give Into It

(olivia newton-john)
No me voy a rendir, no no
No me voy a rendir, no no
No me voy a rendir, no no
No me voy a rendir
Oh Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it no no
Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it
There are nights when the moon
Shines in my eyes and haunts my mind
And I cant sleep a wink
And I really dont want to think
There are times when I feel
If I sleep Ill die
But I dare not cry
And I run from my tears
And I fight them back with my fears
Oh Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it no no
Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it
And I feel so alone
For although you care
No one else can share
Its my own misery
In the end its all up to me
Oh Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it no no
Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it
And I watch you sleep soundly
So peacefully unaware
And your breath is soothing to me
And its good to know youre there
Then the morning comes
With its golden light
And I feel alright
And my heart beats again
But the night is not my friend
Oh Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it no no
Im not gonna give into it no
Im not gonna give into it

Stress

When stress gets me, I’m not alone;
It strikes almost everyone;
Be they my kith or kin or spouse,
Relatives, neighbors near my house.

When stress attacks, I’m not alone,
It affects all known / unknown;
Be they friends or strangers or foes,
In office, class-room or indoors.

When stress hooks me, I transmit it
To those around by habit;
It spares no one, however great,
Almost everyone is its bait!

When stress gets me, I avoid it
And train my mind to remain fit;
Worrying, hurrying will not suffice;
Stress is a leading, lethal vice!

When stress gets me, I ignore it,
Expecting things to ease a bit;
A certain stress is good for health;
Ov’rstress is bad as excess wealth!

When stress gets me, I’m angry;
My house-hold pets too go hungry;
My garden plants get no water;
My world gets shrunk- it does matter!

When stress gets me, I can’t sleep;
Engulfed’s my heart in sadness deep;
I must relax/ do exercise;
This is the distressing device!

Facebooking

had the chance of meeting Kaye
still at the agriculture department
no promotion yet happy
nothing new really except
this meeting

me too, nothing new, except
this conversation
of who what where when

then we stop
as it is time to go
the office closes at five pm
and we have to find
our way home

it will be dark
and there will be dinner with the family
then we watch tv
after being tired we turn it off
sleep
then dream and then we wake up
early the next morning
back to work

such routine such boredom
yet we still like to live more days
this is life perhaps
nothing new except
the meetings of old friends
then back to work again

i know you are bored reading this
precisely, precisely, now you must feel the same too
at least
in this boring poem

Sleep, Tender Heart

sleep, tender heart
sleep like a fairy between petals;
sleep like a koala
safe and sound
concealed amongst leaves

sleep, gentle mind
like the innocent newborn
without a thought or care;
sleep like the moon
that crawls to its quiet
on the advent of the sun

sleep like the waves
that crawl to a lagoon
and still themselves for peace and rest

sleep, O gentle souls
and all you beautiful beings
sleep like the pervading stillness
before the world unfolded itself

Dream Dinners

dream wake me not to my deep emotional distress
as I want to close the shadow of the past, touching
my sobering illusion of your beauty

sleep my dear heart the morning waits for your
midnight deep slumbers, and as you go remember
that letting me wash my shivering hair would soon
fly in the early sky

let me be the beginning of your dream, the dining
horizon of your everlasting stay in the eternity that
awaits the unspoken words of silent love

the cup pour out the harness of perfume and the
smile smell the poison of truth, standing where the
point has to reveals the endless halos of sincerity
of your stay

you have come and witness the rainbow of
teardropp as it showered the grain of pellets of the
future, hold and catch that wisdom that will leads
every path to the Galaxy of dream dinner of
tomorrow

the moon stood up high and as its bright in every
tree in a glittering star of your poem; hasten our
streaming dream of peace and liberty we want to
die ……..

Deep And Down....

the mercies of sleep
to the repentant busy man
on
deep down deep
to the peace
of sleep

it is
different there
the family waits for dinner
and everyone is
pleasing

food is abundant
and kids are behaving
mothers watch
as fathers drink the wine
and puff the smoke of their
Cuban cigars

one soul there
having the same face as you
ethereal body
drinks the glass of wind
and eats
the body of the sea

it is different there
i tell you

you are there
but you think it is not you
until you wake up
and begin to recall the
symptoms

of what you miss
the glass of wind
the body of the sea

Watching Her Sleep

He loves to watch her sleep.
Likes to hear her breathe in
And out; see her breasts rise
And fall like sleeping giants.

He likes how she exudes a
Sense of peacefulness as if
Angels touched her brow and
Breathed a deeper love somehow.

He loves how her red lips move
In silent conversation, how now
And then her tongue brushes her
Lower lip with moisture of saliva.

Should he wake her from deep sleep?
Ought he to kiss her lips and bring
Her from sleep’s warm hold? Should
He touch her limbs with lust to life?

No, no, don’t wake her from her sleep,
Too dangerous; for although he is her
Lover, she’s his busy boss’s pretty wife.

The Familiarity And Monotony Of Love...

we both
accept it: we do not believe

that love has something to
do with it

we decide
always we decide what to do with our life
marriage included,

agreements renewed
vows restated,

on the same table
of monotony

we serve love
we slice love and take the bite
we pour love in our glasses
we drink love

we smoke love
we sigh
we converse love in the middle of the night
we are tired of love
and we sleep love

in that bed of monotony
we wake up filled with love
we have love for breakfast
we go to work carrying love inside our pockets
we were love in our faces

there is always that familiarity
in the routine of love

and with so much love sprayed in our bodies
day and night

we forget its meaning
we take it as potable water
we do not notice if it still satisfies our thirst
if it fills our hunger like the food that we prepare and eat

we declare after so many years together
still intact under the roof of marriage

we wear love we do not notice if we are dressed at all
we sleep and we are so tired

love is here and yet we do not mind it anymore.

Have Not

Some people have not a worry;
Some people have not a care –
As to money, or where they’ll sleep
Or what they’ll eat or wear…
some people take it for granted
Their luck in all these things;
Some people have not that privilege –
For some people have not anything.

Some people have not a worry;
Some people have not a care –
’Cause they’ve always had a place to call home
And a filling meal to share…
Some people think this is normal;
Some people have never thought
That for others it’s not normal at all –
’cause some people have nought.

Yet money can’t buy happiness;
Or peace of mind maintain
Some of the happiest people
Have not a penny to their name.
Can’t put a price on happiness
Where would you even start?
Peace of mind is priceless
But now I have not even that…

Drinking Alone

I take my wine jug out among the flowers
to drink alone, without friends.

I raise my cup to entice the moon.
That, and my shadow, makes us three.

But the moon doesn't drink,
and my shadow silently follows.

I will travel with moon and shadow,
happy to the end of spring.

When I sing, the moon dances.
When I dance, my shadow dances, too.

We share life's joys when sober.
Drunk, each goes a separate way.

Constant friends, although we wander,
we'll meet again in the Milky Way.

Air That I Breathe

If I could make a wish I think Id pass
Cant think of anything I need
No cigarettes no sleep no light no sound
Nothing to eat no books to read
Making love with you has left me peaceful warm inside
What more could I ask
Theres nothing left to be desired
Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you
Just to have you now
All I need is the air that I breathe youre all I want
Peace came upon me and it breathes in me
Dont sleep silent angel dont you sleep
Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you just to have you now
All I need is the air that I breathe yes to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe youre all I want

Put Me to Sleep

Put me to sleep Lord
Like You did to Adam the first
Until You have my Eve ready for me
Yes, I need a deep, deep sleep to shun the pains.

Put me to sleep Lord
So that I won’t notice any beauty
That may draw my heart and mind from me
Until You have my Eve ready
A long dreamless peaceful sleep I desperately need.

Put me to sleep Lord
Let me not even notice the pairs in nature
That may awaken me before time and cause me pain
Or I end up with Delilah, blind and then die
Induce Your sleep before this comes.

Lord satisfy me with your word
Every morning fill me with Your eternal love
And when you bless me with an extra love
Wake me up, to enjoy and revel in your
Exceedingly abundant blessings.

1,2,3,4.

1,2,3,4
Needy men sprawled on the floor.
Many pass with merciless stares
While they wait patiently for somebody to care.
No job, no house, no bed to sleep
We leave these men without basic needs.
Assuming that they spend it on booze and drugs
We flick them away like pesky bugs.
No job, no house, no bed to sleep
And all they want is some money to eat.
No job, no house, no bed to sleep
Is this how we treat God’s sheep?
No job, no house, no bed to sleep
Won’t somebody care to see?
That 1,2,3,4
Needy men, need support.

Sleep Forever

Down I lie
Sleeping all day
Still asleep for years
Surrounded by tears
Of friends, relations and further
But still sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

My eyes all closed extremely shut
My body is dry, straight and flat
As I lie in wooden house
Helpless like a dead mouse
Alone with no any other
As I sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

In my best black suit
My voice on mute
Waiting for the judgement
In a new environment
Coping with underground weather
As I sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

I've left all my worth
And ignored all my breath
Tell that I slept to each and every head
For that's a polite word to me as the dead
To come back I'll never
It's a sleep, sleep and sleep forever.

What Have You Done To My Lover?

You said you would 'always' love me.
It seems not too long ago.
And then,
We invited the increase of bills to come in.

Taxes on a monthly mortgage grew.
And every few years,
There was a need to exchange two cars...
For ones that were new.

And those precious innocent children,
We once held in our arms to adore...
Now tell us where to go, what to kiss...
And when we get done,
What to ourselves we should do...
Before they leave to slam either front or back doors.

And the expense of keeping up with the neighbors,
Has had us seeking additional employment...
Since the effects of the economy,
Has us reacting to each other...
As if we are terrified to sleep with the 'enemy'.

I know on some nights,
I'd rather keep on all the lights!

Personally...
I have become saddened by this!
The person I fell in love with,
I don't recognize anymore.

You spend every available dime we have,
On gym dues and annual make-overs...
We simply can not afford.

Who are you?
And what have you done to my lover?

You said you would 'always' love me.
It seems not too long ago.
And then,
We invited the increase of bills to come in.
And they are about to throw us out of our own house.
