Early Morning Thoughts

early morning thoughts
as warm as the rising sun
as beautiful as the temporary
dew on the leaves
of the red petals of the rose
in the garden
time becomes a luxury
time that pass and
does not come back
does not wait
you stop
and reflect upon those thoughts
that stand by
like passengers of the bus
going to a faraway
place on an unknown destination
you become that bus
and you let them all in
filled
and heavy you start the engine
and go
and forget that you
are a farmer in the garden
and not the driver
of this bus on an unknown destination
you account for each
you stare at their faces
and begin to ask
their names
the place where they come from
the loves of their lives
their misfortunes
and the reason why they are alive
why they want to go away
why the want
to die
you grieve and send the sighs to sky
and then
you send them all away
you write.

Destination Unknown

Im getting outta here cause theres too many complications
Yeah Im getting outta here dont get driven any information
And if they ask you for a number to call just say Im gone thats all
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
If anybody wants me just say you dont know the address
Cause Ive had enough of the confusion and the madness
And should anybody ever try to stall, just say Im gone thats all
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Im tired of playing other peoples games
Tired of waiting for some things to change
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home
Destination unknown, Ill be gone, gone, gone
Destination unknown, destination unknown
Im tired of playing other peoples games
Tired of waiting for some things to change
Destination unknown, Im a long way from home

My destination

My destination is life at the end of the line
My destination is graduation when it’s time
My destination is my diploma I bet I get mine
My destination is to stop with the lay back being cool
My destination is to reach to top of the school
When you reach the top I want you to look over and have in your hand a four leaf clover
As you step on the edge and start to look down turn around fall back make no sound
So the next destination you reach is the ground

Island of time

As I lay here
in my ocean of thoughts
letting my emotions
flow around me

I wonder how long
will I stay above the water
before I start to sink,
sink in the memories of my past

I think of him
and all that has been
I begin to feel the current
getting stronger

I start to go under
so I hold my breathe
waiting for the thought
to pass

I pass out
and awake on a beach
the only place I'm safe
from my thoughts

The beach is my present
reminding me to live for here
and now
reminding me my past is gone

I stare to the forest before me
I do not know
What is to come
as I travel into the unknown

Morning thoughts

Morning thoughts
~
A sun rises over roof tops
Greeting the cold morning air
A wind blows heavy, swaying trees
The branches stripped bare by winter
The world is slowly waking
And the picture beyond my window
Emerges to life once more
I lay motionless in silence
Nursing warm coffee in my hands
Early thoughts begin to stir
My pen yet to be put to paper
I think back to dreams
The night passed what they brought
I think to the day ahead
What will it bring
Thoughts of love and romance
What could I write of them
I watch a world waking
A sun rising over rooftops
And I listen to my thoughts

Searching

How many people pass by them all day long,
As the wind touch their skin to feel cold and warm,
To unknown destination they travel thinking,
They travel to the known destination of working and sleeping,
Planning for hours, to reach the goals on time,
Displaced using the available sources to release tension,
They have changed a lot from the dirty hunters, in appearance,
Habits of them never changed as their ancestors, who strive,
To seek the better of better always, will this search ever stop?

Two Thousand

I've reached a milestone some might say
but to me it's just become my way
to pass my time with rhythm and rhyme
and deliver my thoughts to you.

When I wrote my very first poem
I felt I'd just been born.
I fearfully put my pen on the page
on an early morn
and my thoughts just literally flew.

It's become my way to have my say
about everything under the sun.
And now that I've written 2,000 of them
I still revere number one.
For it was my poetic debut.

Will I stop here and lay the pen aside
or will the ink still flow?
Most certainly I will write some more
for poetry to me is a rainbow.
It appears right out of the blue.

It's beautiful, mysterious
and filled with color.
So I accept the fact it's a milestone
but know that I'm not through.
I'll get up tomorrow morning
and write some more for you.

I Plucked A Rose From A Garden Green......

By Murtaza Abt

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
Of beauty never felt or seen,
Hoping that it would never wilt,
And always be as always been.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
with a happy blissful heart,
And promised i would hold it tight,
And never would we part.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
But little did i know,
That not in endless love and care,
But gardens do they grow.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And took it home with me,
But little did it stay the way,
The way t'was meant to be.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to grieve,
Over gardens green and meadows lush,
As it was sad to leave.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to wilt,
And wither in that unknown land,
it filled my heart with guilt.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to die,
For happiness i had only asked,
But i began to cry.

....................................

I have p L ucked y O u from a garden green,
Your beauty i VE never felt or seen,
Hoping that YOU will never wilt,
And always be as always been.

Send A Message

In a line of fire I stand and wait for you, I cant hold out for too long
Searchin every part of me for a sign, Im in the middle of a storm
I keep hopin, keep on dreamin, somehow youll get through to me
So I reach across the silence, in the air, I keep hopin for a sound
Just a word or two is all I need, how can I bring you back around
Can you hear me, can I touch you, show me the way to your heart
Chorus:
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
In my dark and lonely night I look for you, wont you save me from myself
When my senses melt away you will be here and I wont need nobody else
I cant hold back, I wont fight it, roll back this stone from my heart
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
Everything you are (everything you are)
Means everything to me (means everything to me)
I will wait for you (I will wait)
Time is all we need (is all)
(guitar solo)
I keep hopin, keep on dreamin, somehow youll get through to me
Send a message - send me a message tonight
Send a message - in my dreams you are never out of sight
Send a message - let me stand in your light, just send me a message
(send a, send a, send a, send a, send a, send a) Im ready, I am ready
Send a, send a
Send me a, me a
Send a, send a...

Through My Eyes

I believe-
I believe my thoughts are being broadcasted
I believe you can see my world through my eyes-
When your eyes are closed, I believe that you can hear my thoughts
My thoughts that speak of persecution and threat
These thoughts, as directed towards the rest of the world.
I place my hands over my eyes so that
What is inside of mind does not become
The literature of other people-
Even though my thoughts are silent
When your eyes make contact with mine,
All that I am thinking screams out to you and
I know you wish to harm me.
I believe-
I believe I am being threatened
Being threatened by those who follow my path,
Walking behind me, and somehow
Knowing my destination-
The leaves upon the trees have fallen in autumn and
Now the trees are barren, and I have no place to hide.
This whole world has become the enemy.
I believe my thoughts are broadcasted as I walk,
Kicking aside stones and the leaves that have fallen-
Snow has fallen upon the edge of time and
I stand upon the edge of time, counting the minutes-
Counting every second before the whole world knows of
The anger, hurt and my thoughts misconstrued,
That are torturing me every day and every night-
All I can do is to keep on walking and hope
That one day this mistrust of the world shall
Heal inside my troubled mind and somebody’s eyes
Will make contact with mine and say
“it doesn’t matter to me what you are thinking because
You are a person with a heart and a soul like everyone else and
I believe we all have faults-“ I look towards the sky searching for an increment of hope A world exists inside of me- a beautiful world I hope someday will not matter
If I let somebody inside to see- to know my destination and
I won’t need to hide anymore- when spring comes flowers shall blossom and
Leaves shall grow in the summer- and in the autumn leaves shall turn colors and fall-
I shall continue my journey towards the day I can learn to trust the world around me,
As I kick aside the stones and the fallen leaves as I walk-
With my eyes open to the world, my spirit, unafraid.

In My Secret Garden

In my secret garden...,
I shall present to you the things that I enjoy privately the most.

In my secret garden...,
I shall present to you the most horrible times of my life.

In my secret garden...,
I shall tell you who I love.

In my secret garden...,
I shall share with you the most happiest times I have ever known.

In my secret garden...,
I share both my political and personal opinions.

In my secret garden...,
The stories will not always rhyme or make sense at the time.

In my secret garden...,
Their will be ramblings that one will not be able to understand.

In my secret garden...,
Their will be questions unanswered.

In my secret garden...,
Grows a tree.
Only time will tell if it is truly meant be.
The flow destiny.
Riddled with flaws that cause a due pause.
A hesitation in a time of meditation.
Will it reveal a revelation?
With time as the contemplation.
I leave to you nothing but mere thoughts.
Straight from both my head and heart.
With patients as my virtue, I still might never have my true start.
A unfinished, undocumented, and incomplete works.
Even with the greatest dedication I still at times get stuck.
It is as much a mental block as rotten luck.
I've always said it comes waves.
And it does, I can't turn it on and off as I like.
It chooses when and where.
I write both in love and in despair.
Some times this leaves the dependability up in the air.
But it will not stop me from living as one lives.
To take in the moment, draw it on a canvas, and describe it as my own.
Most of the time I do this all alone.
For theirs something wrong with me.
I enjoy my silence.
I enjoy my seclusion.
I enjoy my indifference.
Wrong as it is, I think I've been hurt just too many times.
To go back and make the right friends to make a better ending.
My happily ever after has always been disaster.
And I credit no fault but to my own doing.
I will never live upon a such a lie or illusion.
I was a fool with a big heart.
And now I am a fool with no heart.
Nothing in between so it seems.
A redemption that will not be redeemed.
In many ways I have come clean.
Rid my soul of the guilt of a lot of dirty deeds.
In this I feel better no matter what is achieved.
Goals to high, and I just can never focus on one thing.
A master nothing but the emptiness I have created for myself.
Like a bed in which I have been forever in a slumber.
So many ask so much of me.
And it gets so complicated
It's like take number.
A overwhelming feeling.
I'm swamped and I'm making a little to nothing in headway.
With this my lord I pray you will take me to a different place.
One where I fit in to the common race.
An ugly uniqueness, in which I'm sure any compliments shouldn't be given.
Trying to make so many decisions.
Which ones matter the most?
Triage upon a battle field.
So many wounded soldiers.
Will I ever be able to bring them enough closure.
Just let tide take me back out to the ocean.
Float away into the unknown and uncharted waters.
Just maybe there it will be a little calmer.

Cant Stop A Heartbeat

(john duarte/mark paul)
Secret eyes
Sayin nothin at all
Youd think our love
Was breakin the law
Kisses in the darkness
That nobody sees
They know were together
But they dont know what I feel
They can tear us apart
And send you away
Oh but they cant stop our heartbeats
They can tell you to go
And never come back
Oh but they cant stop our heartbeats
Words of steel
They tell me not to leave
I wanna be with you
But I cant get free
In a fit of rage
I run out the door
Theres no tomorrow
When Im in your arms
And they can tear us apart
Send you away
Oh but they cant stop my heartbeat
They can tell you to leave
And never come back
Oh they cant stop, oh
They cant stop the heartbeat
Hold me all through the night
Show me our love is alive
Kiss me before its too late
cause this time our love just cant wait
Just one last look
While they take you away
They can send me back home
But they cant make me stay
Ill be waiting by the phone
Until they let you go
And Ill be with you in a heartbeat
I just want you to know
They can tear us apart
Send you away
Oh they cant stop our heartbeats
They can tell you to leave
And never come back
Oh they cant stop my
They cant stop my heartbeat
Oh they cant stop the heartbeat
They can tell you to go
And never come back
Oh they cant stop our heartbeats
They can tear us apart
And send you away
Oh but they cant stop the heartbeat...

Silence Wept

and I and I,
desire and death...
the garden of you,
and spider webbed dreams.
pine sap running, hot and molten,
my tongue rests...
inside your soul.

love me dammit,
or write me letters.
send them to
'destination unknown'!
buy a dress for my funeral,
a hat, and new shoes...
any color but black!

inside and inside,
peeling layer after layer.
conversation of sparrows,
struck mute by flesh.
you taste sweat of summer,
i am past late autumn.
the gods of time lied!

what if i wrote you a poem,
and silence wept?
would you hear the train,
and point to the sky?
would you pray for rain?
and listen for the sound...
of the knock on your innermost door!

I Write And I Will Always Write

i write not because i want to be famous
fame has its own place to take care of itself

i write not because i want to educate
people educate themselves and most of them are educated enough

with or without me
with or without my poems

i write not because i want to express my feelings
or display all my emotions like some sort of fireworks on the 4th of July

(maybe for quite a time i was that
a man making a ventilation
a fume looking for an opening
a pressure looking for a window
a failure seeking a redemption
a penalty asking for a reprieve
a criminal begging for pardon
a rebel detained and wishing for
pardon...

a ship looking for a destination
an island asking for its own place under the sun
a sigh desperately waiting for the mouth

whatever...

but now i begin to think so deeply
why do i write? and why do i write everyday?

and why poems? why not a novel or a short story?
or an essay on the fate of men
the conflicts within them
the wars that they have to face everyday
their deaths and
resurrections

their erections and negations
the women and their seductions
the world in its glory
history and its memory

i write because i owe my life to poetry
it has saved me from my misfortunes

i write because i want to thank the poems
i write because

i just want to say: thanks,
to express this eternal gratitude
now, that

i am still alive.

Im An Agent

Send in eyes
Thoughts of crashing, all those pictures
Send in thoughts of john the god
Send in dreams
Lovers on corners, clean my sheets
Your only chance is break the state
We are clean
Dont ask, Im an agent
Send in change
Secretaries, nothing more
You can be replaced you know
Send in chance
Bad conditions, talk of leaving
Talk of walking out on me
Send in you
Send in pain, send in lies
Send in words that I believe
Send in you
Just watch the face, your sure to see
Something, give this game away
Send in you
Get her out, get her out
Call me, just dont say the name

The taxi driver taking you to the airport
Early morning
Without any conversation
To keep the trip alive

The pilot that you cannot see
In the cockpit
Taking you to your destination

Then another story shall be told
That is the surprise

Dreaming Need

I lay down my heart for you
useless, beat-less
it will be
if you do not come back to me.

My eyes too
I'll place in my treasure box
I have no need to see
another,
ever.

No need now for locomotion
I lie stlll
having no destination
if that destination
does not include
you.

My brain succumbs
to hiatus;
no need for new thoughts;
the last and only one I need
is of you.

My beauty rose
withers
when placed beside your photograph.

I see sun-beams in my room
but notice only the dust motes
not the beams' beauty.

Auditorily
I hear only the silence
of Deepest Need.

I am lost,
to be saved
only by a miracle;
your voice close
to my ear:
saying
'I am here
you were having a dream.'

Our Marriage Is Our Garden

Our marriage is our garden.
I want our garden to be beautiful.
With lush green grass,
With fragrant and colourful flowers.
A place of solace.
A place of peace.
A place of love.
Our garden must be watered.
Not watered too much.
As that would saturate the ground.
Not watered too little.
As that would leave the plants wilted.
And our grass barren.
But regularly.
So the flowers can stand tall
It must be weeded.
It must be maintained.
It must be loved.
We will plant seeds in our garden.
For new life makes any garden more beautiful and diverse.
We can harvest the fruit trees, but our harvest is limited
If we eat all the fruit too quick,
Then we must wait until the next harvest to eat again.
If we don't pick the fruit when it is right, it will spoil.
Our harvest is for our family.
If I eat all the fruit myself, then they will starve.
If we eat too much we will get sick.
If we eat what we are supposed to, then we will be healthy.
If we do not monitor the fruit,
Then someone might eat more than their share.
If we do not stand guard in our garden,
A thief might come into the garden to steal our fruit.
The fruit for our family.
For their garden must be barren and their crops have spoiled.
Our garden will stand the test of all seasons.
As all gardens do.
Another garden will also experience the same seasons.
Just at different times.
All gardens face rain.
All gardens get sun.
It is the rain that nourishes the garden and helps it's life to grow.
But our garden must be maintained regularly.
Only artificial things require no maintenance.
The artificial has no life.
It is fake, it is plastic.
Our garden needs to be real.
So life may grow and continue to grow.
So one day our children can enjoy a garden of their own.
For them and their children.
May their garden be overflowing with life and love.
And be the most beautiful garden in the world.

Loves Unspoken Words...

Deep within my heart there is a place where silence lives,
Where the secrets of profound emotion and yearning wait to be awoken,
Where the unspoken words of a heart filled with love remain unsaid,
They hang heavy like teardrops frozen in the mists of time,
This secret garden of silence born of a heart lost in visions of love,
Images of love that live vividly within a dreamers heart yet to be realised,
A love that shall bring about the birth of an eternal springtime,
An orchestra of love that shall fill lifes garden with sweet loves melody,
Where the memory of the barren years shall be carried away upon loves rhythm,
Listen to the gentle pulse of the waterfall that has sprung new hope for us all,
Now the unspoken words of love shall hang heavy on the heart no more...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Send For Me

When you want
A true lover
Send for me...send for me!
You'll never want
Any other
Send for me...send for me!
I promise you
I'll be true
Send for me...send for me!
Anytime just tell me
Your problems
And you'll find out, baby, I'll solve 'em.
If you're late one mornin',
Don't hurry.
If you've got big trouble,
Don't worry.
Just depend
On your friend
Send for me...send for me!
A-mornin', noon and night,
In the early bright,
Don't you fret, my pretty pet
I'm gonna treat you right.
Don't you dare
Raise a hair,
I'm gonna share
Your every care.
Anywhere,
Oh, yeah
Send for me...I'll be there!
~Interlude~
Anything
That upsets you
Send for me...send for me!
I'll be there
To protect you
Wait and see...wait and see!
Don't delay
Right away
Send for me...send for me.
It's gonna be
Twiddle-deee
Yes sirree
You and me
Faithfully
Send for me
~Ad-lib to fade~
