Each Of Us

we are as great as we think
we are

our greatness does not depend
on the greatness of
another

we are privileged to have taken
foot on this earth
we have, on this truth, already won,

there may be darkness
for those who were wise ahead of us

think that we live in this cave and we are but
shadows chained and blind to light
and bound

we are as great as we think we are
this is not an illusion neither is it just a proposition

this is the truth and this is the hope
keep on going

from the heart of this darkness
the mouth of awareness is not that really far

soon we shall be there
inside us the fire of life burns

warm as eternity
it is so alive like the breathing of the sea

Sonnet: On Greatness

Greatness is not a thing, much like an art;
Some man turns great if on it he stumbles;
His greatness ceases, if he thinks, he's great;
Great is he truly who tho' great, humbles.

Greatness is not true greatness, self-proclaimed;
Greatness is not what world showers on us;
Greatness is neither got by being claimed.
Greatness is not achieved by making fuss.

Greatness could come if world decides to give;
Greatness will stay if God blesses our work;
Such greatness, God-destined comes while men live;
Greatness can grow even without much luck.

Greatness doesn't come to everyone on earth;
Some men are made great; some are great by birth.

Unity -Part 5- Light

The four elements give way to more great,
As Light shine's it's wisdom among the lands.
Casting away the darkness,
And showing the path.

Fire burns and gives source to Light,
Water bends and guides Light,
Air gives companionship, and company to Light,
And Earth is visibly revealed with that Light.

The greatness floods throughout the souls,
of Human's on the Earth,
and the prosperity lives on.

Eternity.

Holding The Lamp

anxious face
the lines are bold
like some veins
about to burst
like a bomb timed
at ten tonight

the flash light
roams around the
darkness
a roomful of darkness
wanting to point
out the truth

the truth is in my heart
in the darkness of
my heart
your flashlight gets
nothing
the view is holographic
mirages and shadows
ghosts and
souls

you are a failure again
i turn off the light
now see me again
in this darkness
this is my truth
this is my life
this is the only light i have
the dark room
a roomful of blackness
inside my heart
inside my soul.

Darkness Hopes

In each of us lives darkness
black as coal and full of desire,
that lies dormant in the midnight
though it longs to feel a fire.

The fire brings great brightness
to the heart of the darkest dark;
as it dances with abandon
flirting madly as it sparks.

When the sparks flash in the darkness
the blackness feels the heat,
that's created by a passion
when light and darkness meet.

Once the darkness is ignited
white light burns deep inside,
emboldened by combustion
once begun, won't subside.

Though as the fire burns lower
and the light begins to dim,
embers glow with excitement
for what will come again.

The darkness is quite patient
as it quietly sits and waits,
for the fire to build inside again
and reconnect the fates.

You see, the darkness holds out the hope
for the passion of the light,
to dance again with abandon
to bring a fire, burning bright.

Not Just Millions

In one song men sing of Millions, but, that number is actually Billions,
Those who grope in darkness today, not knowing God’s Truth or Way;
One-third of the earth’s population, doesn’t embrace God’s Salvation,
Along with those who haven’t heard, the saving Grace of God’s Word.

As believers stop, to think of this, multitudes today need our witness,
Of Eternal Truths entrusted to us, as we came to faith in Christ Jesus,
It is the only Truth that man knows, as all the spiritual darkness grows,
To grant all men that required light, to free them totally from the night.

Jesus Christ, is The Light of this world, the Only Truth we must herald,
For The Way, The Truth and The Life, is none other, than Jesus Christ,
As Christ alone paid sin’s full price, as The Father’s Atoning Sacrifice,
And He alone, as God’s Only Son, came unto this earth for everyone.

There’s no reason for any to grope, in the darkness, with God’s Hope,
The only Hope for all mankind, who came to save the spiritually blind,
Today it remains our Lord’s desire, that passion burns in us like a fire,
To motivate us to reach all the lost, with God’s message of the Cross.

So today, we must never be silent, as the people who Christ has sent,
Into the present world of darkness, flooded with man’s hopelessness,
To offer God’s Hope and new sight, which leads men to Eternal Light,
Bringing Billions to Salvation’s Door, to a life with Christ forevermore.

Your Light Has Come

In truth; God’s world, is hard to tell
Gross darkness clouds her mind
While Satan leads her brood to hell
She’s wicked proud and blind

You may not even like God’s child
Who stands within your sight
Sometimes I’ll even make you wild
Because I’m of “The Light”

God’s Light and darkness can’t agree
They can’t see eye to eye
That’s why you’re not at ease with me
No matter how you try

In love I come to speak of peace
No need to use your sword
Your Light has come, that you may cease
To hide from Christ the Lord

God’s Light is truth who comes to live
To touch with Love’s own hand
He comes to save God’s joy to give
And lead to understand

When light comes through an open door
All darkness must depart
Please bear with me a moment more
To shine within your heart

Allow God’s Light, to come to you
Let darkness disappear
In just a while you’ll feel brand new
There’ll be no need to fear

You’ll feel the Father’s love arrive
His warm reviving Light
And you yet dead He’ll bring alive
In Christ; to stand and fight.

0162 Greatness

How great is greatness? asks my questing soul:
scenting behind that quest, eternity;
that dark which, studied, lights the dazzling whole
and brings to finite thought, infinity;

as when great singers sing, all hearts can sing;
great dancers give us sense that all can dance;
great actors speak for all of us; we think
to know all painted greatness at one glance:

we know already, greatness' unfenced whole,
we know that boundless place, the human heart;
Creation is no secret to our soul;
all being sings its song in every part.

How glorious those sages who can see
in everything that lives, totality!

The Decline of Truth

The smoldering embers of a tree
Once shinning the life of men
Remind the story of the sad illusion
That was to be the decline of truth.
Taken by the fire of madness
Stoked by the anger within,
The clear ponds reflected the brave knight
The hero of truth
The bringer of illusion.
Stricken by the light of darkness
The sky is forever in chaos
As the light that once gave it color
Was devoured by the demon of madness.
The leaves that flew in the winds
Now rest by the embers reflecting illusion
And the smoldering heat of truth
Became apparent as the hero trapped in illusion
Sauntered beneath the chaos sky
And as the demon devoured illusion
The truth became apparent
And the hero that never was,
Defeated by truth
Faded to the embers of sad illusion
And added to the decline of truth.

How Do You Preach?

Fiend as you preach along the way, do men listen to what you say?
And as The Truth you do impart, do you preach with all your heart?
Friend do you preach with urgency; pointing other men to Eternity?
And do you simply state God’s Truth, in the light of men’s reproof?

It’s not our words that they hear, but God’s Truth they must endear.
Believers must not color God’s Word, to be liked, when we’re heard.
It isn’t our opinions that they need, but God’s Truth they must heed.
Share The Word and nothing more, leaving the results to The Lord.

Do you have a passion in this life, for sharing Truth of Jesus Christ?
Do you have a zeal deep inside, to explain to men why Christ died?
Do you have that burning desire, to snatch others from eternal fire?
Do the words out of your heart; remain with others after you depart?

Soon this temporal life shall end, and Eternity is very real my friend.
We live this life, then we’re gone, but eternity friend goes on and on.
And eternity can be life or death, all beginning with your final breath.
For anyone to enter Eternal Life, they must first accept Jesus Christ.

Men may scoff behind your back, with Truth unhindered from attack,
They may mock you quite openly, about God, who they can not see.
Men can choose to reject The Lord, and be in darkness forevermore,
Although they scoff be assured, all men shall confess Christ as Lord.

What We Are

Though various speculations
concerning our origins have
given birth to many names in many lands

what we are cannot fully be said
we are the spirit of life's great mystery
shared identity of immortality

truth love light and beauty
the darkness the wind and the shadows

we are the sum of all life's great treasures
attached to the price tag of the human heart

I Love The Word Hope

I love the word hope 'tis a great word it keeps reminding you when you are down
That in many ways you are lucky you are not the worst off in the town
Compared to some you are quite lucky and though you may not be one of the privileged few
There's hope and comfort in the thought that many are worse off than you.

I love the word hope it seems positive to hope for the good days ahead
For life for you is scarce worth living if the hope in your heart it is dead
To hope for a better tomorrow is the thing that keeps us keeping on
For you do not have much to live for if hope out of your life is gone.

I love the word hope it's uplifting for those who are feeling quite low
For as they say hope springs eternal and out of hope success can grow
And one can only see a dark future for one who is struggling to cope
If that person has lost the great gift the gift that we all know as hope.

I love the word hope it's a great gift those who have it in them have fight
They keep on going through the dark tunnel till finally they reach the light
And when you retain hope through your hard days you are telling the World I'm alive
For without it life on you much harder and you find it so hard to survive.

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. John 1 (Chapter 1)

The Word of Life:

‘The word of life which was always,
That we had heard with our own ears,
Which we had seen with our two eyes,
That our hands have really touched,
Unto you too, we declare thus,
That you have fellowship with us,
And with Father and Son, Jesus.’

Walking in the Light:

We write these unto you so that,
The joy that’s full fills up your heart;
The message that we heard from Him
Is God is Light, without darkness!

To say that we have fellowship,
And walk in darkness is a lie,
And cannot be the truth at all;
As He is light, we walk in light,
We’ve fellowship with everyone.

The blood of Jesus Christ, His son,
Cleanses our souls from stains of sin;
If we say that we have no sin,
Is not the truth that lies within,
For, we deceive ourselves and God.

If we confess our sins to God,
He readily forgives us all,
And spares us from His fairer rod,
And gives us back our righteousness.
If we say we have never sinned,
We make Him too a liar great;
His word dwells not inside our heart.

Chained

R.sambora
Hey, whats this feeling
Ive never been down this far before
I was scared of believing
That love would never find my door
I was chained
Chained
Chained to my broken dreams
I never knew I was supposed to be
Waiting for someone to come and rescue me
Rescue me
Rescue me.
Hey am I dreaming?
I never woke up from night before
Unaware I was bleeding
Slowly dying like the sun
Going down once more.
I was chained
Chained
Chained to my broken dreams
I never knew just where my life would lead
Hoping that someone would come and rescue me
Rescue me
Rescue me
Rescue me.
Alone in the darkness
til saw the light
Shining from your eyes
Now it burns inside and it keeps me alive
Lord Ive been chained
Ive been chained, yeah.
Was chained
Chained
Chained to these broken dreams
I never knew who supposed to be
Hoping that someone would come and rescue me
Ive been chained
Chained
Ive been chained to these broken dreams
I never knew just where my life would lead
Waiting for you to come and rescue me
Hoping that someone would come and
Rescue me
Rescue me
Rescue me
Ooh yeah
Rescue me

Can You See The Darkness

Can you discern the freedom of unbarring your soul to the only One who asks nothing in return, but love. What can we offer back but our trust and fears?
One day we will weep no more for we will have given Him both unashamedly.

Truth creates a meaning for our dreams. Ask the questions I may have missed. Write, scribble, highlight, document, journalise, whatever! Get the point across! Do not allow limitations, for life will not hesitate to pass you by.

Growing All around us a generation gone blind, unaware as the real darkness shadows their light. Illumination dims the wisdom of their Resolve.
Darkness maintains a comfort zone, A taboo and handicap to the sighted.
There survives a single unrelenting truth; sightless perspective belongs to all who lack vision. Darkness is far more sinister than the absence of light.
There is no discrimination, the desire, the forfeiture of your soul required.

Our world lacks the determination of true sightless visionaries.
(Helen Keller, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli, etc.) Accomplished individuals having shared the light of their darkness with the world. Do you believe 'things aren't always as though they appear? , Who then owns truer vision the sighted or those challenged by sight? Hold that thought for a moment.
Now, Close your eyes and ask that same question;
only this time in your new world you have never been sighted.
Your entire existence, 'blinded' by the awareness of never having known vision.

By an order of magnitude Light ends darkness, as even a consideration.
Each day creates a new opportunity for the continuum of life.
Light and Life co-exist whether one lives in the darkness or light.
One needs faith, not vision, to experience the truth.

To Be A Poet And Live In The Dark

it is easy for me to understand
why you live in the darkness of your poetry

time does not live there. There is no morning light
to mark the day, and darkness thrives
like a tunnel, without any hint that at the end
there is light.

you live there. You live there for a long, long time
and you shed off your eyes, and hands,
and eventually you lose the sense of a face.

you like it there. It is all emotions. Strong
as a river inside the cave. You may have
lost your eyes, but you have seen more.
You may have lost your hands, but you
are feeling and touching more.

It is the darkness that has provided
you the sense of eternity. There is no
time here. It is dead. And There is no
sense of remembering what had been
there before.

You flow in this darkness like a river
inside a tunnel. The only sound you hear
is the going.The journey with you.

Falling From Grace

As a nation, we’re falling from Grace, down to a much darker place,
As God and His Word are ignored, by many who profess The Lord,
An empty belief, held by them, which Christ did and shall condemn,
As they turn from Truth and Light, embracing wrong instead of right.

Even as the many profess belief, the nation at large, has little relief,
From all those evil hearts and minds, creating darkness of all kinds;
Darkness appears to be everywhere, and no one, it seems to spare,
Touching everyone in some way, as that wickedness colors the day.

Even though Christ reigns above, He impacts not, those I speak of,
As they simply haven’t any fear, of The Lord, Who we hold so dear;
For guidance they’ll never look up, being dark and at times, corrupt,
Being morally on a downhill slide, as God’s Truth by them is denied.

Many suggest that they believe, but, God’s Truth they won’t receive,
As darkness pervades their mind, they leave God’s Truth far behind,
Men who are truly spiritually dead, they continue on that path ahead,
A path into a much darker time, using not God’s but Satan’s design.

All the darkness these men produce, is used by the devil to seduce,
The many lost souls around the world, as more darkness is unfurled,
So souls seek not, The Truth of Christ, or Righteousness in their life,
This, so like Satan, they shall see, only the fiery darkness of eternity.

What Is Pain

What is pain but rejoice leading towards death, we live our lives, some good, some bad, troubled times, and untroubled past, we live and love, we love and live, but for some of us, we may live to love, but we dont love to live, some of us, misjudged by fate, unrightly charged, unrightful hate, some of us, we flow with time, some of us, we get bound by it, some of us we live life to its fullest, the rest of us, live life to its darkest... few of us survive, thrust into darkness we live, never to see light again, not because we hate the light, but because the light hates us, with few of us remaining, were forced to live on.... but some of us that remain, wish to die on, we live in this place, shadowed from light, in our dark shells we are safe, but sometimes someone dares to pierce us with their light, for moments we rejoice in the love of the warmth, but moments later the truth is revieled, always given a taste of the light, but never able to swallow, never able to keep it inside, we weep with the darkness, cast out by the light, we hate the light... for it pierces our night....
