Diligence
at 3 o'clock
the surfer continues to search
for what is missing
in his life
scanning it like the pages of an old
diary
in his exhaustion he continues
till daybreak
until he finds it
he cannot sleep until the question is answered
there is this seed that grows within
there are roots digging
the value of his existence
the reasons enumerating why a day should be added
what tomorrows are relevant
why death is untimely
his fingers press the keys
until it finds
what he dreamt last night
the face of his father begging to do what he did not achieve
during his lifetime.
he hears the cries of the goat bound for the slaughterhouse.

Its Not Too Late
Gently rolling father time
Is calling to him now,
And though he hears him
He looks out to sea.
Somewhere out there lie his dreams
A story with no ending
And till he finds his answers
He wont be going nowhere
For him, its not too late
Its not too late
For some its never too late
Quietly knocking on her door.
He patiently stands waiting,
And though she hears him
She sits steadfast in her chair.
Somewhere out there never seen
Her hopes and dreams lie waiting,
And till she finds an answer
She wont be going nowhere
For her, its not too late
Its not too late
For some its never too late
For everything we know thats certain
There is much we cannot see,
So we choose to close the curtain,
Never knowing what could have been
Its not too late, its not too late, never too late
Slowly rocking the babys bed
He strokes its head and whispers
And though it hears him,
It keeps smiling and kicks its feet
Somewhere out there is a life,
A lifetime made for living
So it holds on fast, it aint going nowhere
For some its not too late,
Its not too late
For some its never too late
For some its not too late
Its not too late
For some its never too late

Life's Justice
Life's cruel justice finds me yet, once again.......
Each day I rise to one more wrinkle neath my eye. Each tell a story, that's written upon my face... A journey accepted many year ago and it continues today..One of obstructed paths and contradiction along the way...
Life's cruel justice finds me yet, once again.
My body lost to the pain of each passing night reaches into the blackness for resolve.
Life's cruel justice has found me again.
Enduring the pain has created chaos in my thoughts and within few remembered dreams.. 'It's difficult to say, the last time I dreamed.'
Life's justice has found me, and death, lies next to me as I struggle on the edge of the shadows of the dark, hoping death leaves my side and gives me, one more night.

Something is Missing
I went to the fun-fair
To have some fun
Had a lot to see
Then went shopping
Bought some goodies
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.
Came back home
With snacks and sweets
Served them all
And savoured it too
Had a nice evening stroll
In the park and streets.
I enjoyed every bit of it
With ‘him’ and ‘them’
And yet I think
And I did feel that
Something was missing…
So now I write
And I ponder too
What is it
That bothers me
And makes me miss
On all such occasions
When I go out and have fun
With ‘him’ and ‘them’.
It was just not today
But almost every day
On all such outings
And “at home” evenings
I do feel that
Something is missing.
And so I delved deeper in me
And thought of that something
Which never misses me
Nor needs me in its life.
Yes – I know it is a living being
And it is so far away
I cannot make it mine
And yet so close
I always feel it is mine.
That very Being so very far
And yet so close
It always makes me feel
Yes – Something is Missing.
So I kept probing further
Into my consciousness
To find the one thing that is there
Yet still “invisible” and just not there.
And I found that
Something is Missing
Is the one and only
Soul-mate I’ve searched all through…
And yet that mate’s soul never found me.
So I’ll keep feeling till the end of my life
That Something is Missing
Till his soul finds me
Or my soul merges into him.
And my search ends
To find us both
Soul-mates forever
For aeons till eternity…
This is just the Beginning
Of a lifetime search
Seeking its End.
And as they say:
It can take years and years
Of lives and births
Till its destination is reached.
For it is the journey of the soul
To seek its Friend.
It could be an endless wait
For many re-births
Of life and death.
And yet, it could be
Worth the Wait
In my soul’s search
For its Soul-Mate.

One Night Life In A Lifetime
Theres more to question than answers
And sand will slip through your hands
And love is faster than lightning
So grab it while you can mm, mm, mm...
Well Ive been searching forever
Between the bad and the good
But now I know what Im missing
And I wanna make it with you
One night in a lifetime
One life in a night

And baby it should be tonight

One night in a lifetime
One night, one night, one night
In a lifetime, one night
They say that love is a gamble
And luck will play a trick or two
But Ill risk all of my loving
Id put my last buck on you
One night in a lifetime
One life in a night
One night in a lifetime
And baby its gotta be tonight
Baby its gotta be tonight

Some Chunks Of Bitter Realities
some chunks of bitter realities are handed to him.
the rule of the game is: do not refuse, take everything with all willingness.
the game continues and from day to day, he has become
the most acceptable yes man.
he continues receiving chunks of bitterness and he keeps it to himself.
there is no room for complaints. that is another rule of the game.
at night, when alone, with all the bitterness, he looks upon the pages of
an old book, the one containing the pictures of his friends back home,
in school where he finished high school, in the university where he finished
his degree with honors.
damn, he tells himself, ' i am much better than them! '
yet he never really made good: he remains poor, and unknown,
and envious. Life must be unfair. Or God must not exist.
He becomes a doubter.
Agnosticism was never his trait in college.
He was handsome and girls were pulling him right and left.
The professors loved him and exempted him from taking the final exams.
The years are cruel.
The government is unfair.
Power is slipping from his hands.
He sleeps and finds rest in his dreams.
There is something wrong with the system.
The good are not rewarded.
The bad triumphs.
HE could not ask WHY?
He is into this game. There shall be no complaining.
He is here. There is no asking now.
Tomorrow, he washes his face, removes the iota of doubt.
The motes of confusions.
He goes into the office. He is the yes man for now.
There shall be no grumbling.
THAT in fact, is the rule. The attitude acceptable.
And so his silence remains. Until his death.Perhaps.

The Poet Finds....
The poet finds whatever the moon could not see,
The poet finds whatever the earth does not know,
The poet finds whatever the sun could not see,
The poet finds whatever others do not know,
The poet finds whatever the stars could not see,
So why do the heathen rage and the people plot vanity? !
For she who is pregnant is closer to us,
And the hart pants after streams of water.
Your tears have been your food night and day,
And like your inner self in the lan dof your muse;
But the poet finds whatever the sun could not see.

Ideology and poetry
Keep continue the search
Truth, god and beauty
Love and peace
Till your
death
But do not criticize me
What is the problem
With you If I say
I have got
All these
In god
Can you see,
Any difference between you and me
What I have got few days back
You just keep digging for that
Rest of the things
I think, are the same
Whatever life or science you cultivate
I keep digging the same
Do not try to see Him in anything
I am totally different from Him
He is the creator
I am the creation
All together different identity
Divinity has nothing to do
With my penning
It runs solely on my own
Reasons and responsibility.

Discontinuous Existence
We do not die, instead we live a discontinuous existence. This life here, my body, my thoughts, memories, feelings, what I am physically, once this is over it is over. Anything else is just an allusion. When we die it is over, nothing is going to recreate us, make us again. Restore us to what we are. It is over the end. No more. End of story. Final curtain. The dirt sleep. Or is it.
Could not resonances of this life carry over to our next life, be with us in the after life, in the life between llives. Could it be a process analogous to dreams? Could parts of your life continue in another existence after death in the same way aspects of you continue in your sleep, to different degrees. Part of your life as a child continues periodically when you dream at night, parts of you as a young man and or woman continue in your dreams. Images and deep connections you have with creation and or the divine, depending on your perspective, continue when you are dreaming. Though you are not you, you are you, brought to life again.

Surfer Girl
Little surfer little one
Made my heart come all undone
Do you love me, do you surfer girl
Surfer girl my little surfer girl
I have watched you on the shore
Standing by the oceans roar
Do you love me do you surfer girl
Surfer girl surfer girl
We could ride the surf together
While our love would grow
In my woody I would take you everywhere I go
So I say from me to you
I will make your dreams come true
Do you love me do you surfer girl
Surfer girl my little surfer girl
Well
Girl surfer girl my little surfer girl
Well
Girl surfer girl my little surfer girl
Well
Girl surfer girl my little surfer girl

Another Enlightenment
death helps delet an identity
and bury it forever in soil
life continues to flow till another physique
awakens it to another existence,
another name, another character

Sleep
Sometimes we fear to sleep
in case we don’t wake up again.
We fight the sleep
our bodies so desperately need
to rejuvenate itself again.
We fight because we fear death,
but death comes to us all.
The question of when we will never know.
It is no use fighting it,
as it will come when it is ready to take us away.
In the meantime, we should
enjoy every minute of everyday.
Tomorrows will look after themselves
as tomorrows always do.
So if your body needs sleep.
Just let it have it and sleep, sleep, sleep.

Do Not Worry
do not worry
the seed of love will just find its way
to grow and upon itself
take its journey towards bliss
for like any seed on earth
it always finds itself to the glorious
face of the sun and shakes its hands
and be a part of its
embrace
from it a tree comes out
some fruits that ripen
for you to simply pick up
and eat
and without any question

The World Still Spins
The world continues to spin,
It doesn't know where I've been,
Or where I'm going to go,
That, it doesn't need to know.
The world continues to spin,
As I continue to sin,
The places I'm going to see,
Places where I shouldn't even be.
The world continues to spin,
I feel like a washed up has been,
But isn't that what we all are,
For none of you are all that far.
The world continues to spin,
As I try to wash down the gin,
But it's all the same for death,
It always ends in one last breath.

Answered Prayers?
... my day continues
after stopping for a burger,
fries and a coke
I drive to the nearest bookstore
and purchase
three new books
in Chile
they are picking out bodies
out of earthquake rubble
the west coast and Hawaii braces
for a string of tsunamis
my day continues
in Afghanistan yesterday
seventeen died
in a car bombing spree
I walk across the parking lot
enter my car
share the rest my fries with my dog
rub his ears, kiss his head
my day continues
like a disinterested god
I go on with my day
as others die
the rest of the world
always goes on
with its day
and we expect answered prayers?

Love Without Ending
Love without ending
is everyone’s constant dream,
love to cherish,
as life grows old and cold.
Love to warm us
through the years to come.
Love without ever having an end.
Love of this special kind
is said to be rare indeed,
maybe that is true,
for not everyone ever finds it.
Some have to search a lifetime,
while others hardly at all
to obtain that dream.

The first moments of sleep are an image of death; a hazy torpor grips our thoughts and it becomes impossible for us to determine the exact instant when the ""I,"" under another form, continues the task of existence.

Black Morning Lovesong
In love's dances, in love's dances
One retreats and one advances,
One grows warmer and one colder,
One more hesitant, one bolder.
One gives what the other needed
Once, or will need, now unheeded.
One is clenched, compact, ingrowing
While the other's melting, flowing.
One is smiling and concealing
While the other's asking kneeling.
One is arguing or sleeping
While the other's weeping, weeping.
And the question finds no answer
And the tune misleads the dancer
And the lost look finds no other
And the lost hand finds no brother
And the word is left unspoken
Till the theme and thread are broken.
When shall these divisions alter?
Echo's answer seems to falter:
'Oh the unperplexed, unvexed time
Next time...one day...one day...next time!'

The Outlaw Torn
And now I wait my whole lifetime for you
I ride the dirt I ride the tide for you
I search the outside search inside for you
To take back what you left me
I know I'll always burn to be
The one seeks so I may find
And now I wait my whole lifetime
My whole lifetime
The Outlaw Torn
So on I wait my whole lifetime for you
So on I wait my whole lifetime for you
The more I search the more my need for you
The more I blast the more I bleed for you
You make me smash the clock and feel
I'd rather die behind the wheel
Time was never on my side
So on I wait my whole lifetime
My whole lifetime
The Outlaw Torn
And I'm torn
Hear me
