Differing Strokes
compare myself
not from other lovers
who once loved
you, i differ,
in subtleties and
open affections,
on crumpled paper
i write
something like
'i love you'
you like it
less formal
but retrieving.

True Love Is Gone
True love is weak, when lovers are weak,
True love is meaningless, when lovers are useless,
True love is not true, when lovers are untrue,
True love is wickedness if lovers are wicked,
One sided love, is not true love,
Fault finding in love isn't its stand,
It isn't perfectness, but affections
Nor not for something on somebody,
True love is dead, when it is believed to alive,
True love is wrong if lovers are right,
True love will lose, if lovers are winners,
True love is gone if lovers stays.

Trying to write a song again
Paper and pen
Paper and pen
Can’t think of anything to say today
Can’t think of anything to do
Can’t think of anything to play today
Minds gone blank
Leaving me here, just sitting here
Listening to my hair grow
Paper and pen
Paper and pen
And I look towards you
For an inspiration or a word or two
I try but I find
Every road only leads me back to these lines

High School Memory
three of you in class had a crush on her
You threw a crumpled yellow paper with a note in black
Ballpoint pen
I love you
She opened it and crumpled it again and threw it back to you
It read in red ballpoint pen
I love you too.

Paper In The Wind
The night wind searched...
For that illusive scrap--
Of paper penned with-
Your romantic ode;
That you left crumpled...
And thrown carelessly...
In anger...
Earlier in the day--
Of our once love;
When nothing but---
Sunshine once courted us;
But as with all good things...
The night and its oft' unpredictable storms...
Came uninvited;
Never planned for---
The dark and its gales...
Attacking the vunerable of our relationships...
Fragile base...;
Disagreements poured heavily...
As an unending rain...
Alas- destroyed in the night-
Winds of change;
And all that is left--
Is a blown crumpled paper...
Of our once deep love;

Once Again I Write...
This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
I write to save my sanity.
I write to ease my heart.
I write to cleanse my soul.
I write to feel alive.
I write to keep my mind strong and my thoughts clear.
I write my words of sorrow, despair, pain, and love, as well as words of wisdom.
I write so that one day someone will truly know me.
This paper, this pen is once again my inspiration.
It is the inspiration to what I see.
It is the inspiration to what I hear.
It is the inspiration to what I feel.
It is the inspiration to the art I create.
It is the inspiration to what I draw.
It is the inspiration to the love for my daughter.
It is the inspiration to the love for my husband.
This pen, this paper is once again my savior.
Once again I write to say thank you my timeless friends.
Thank you for saving me time and time again.

Why Do I Write
I write from my sadness
I write from the madness
I write because I have something to say
I write to pass the day
I write only from the heart
I write for sometimes I am not that smart
Whatever is in head just comes out on paper (in this case a word document) , and I go with the flow
Write to let my mind go
I follow my hand to where ever it takes me
I write all the things that I can see
I write when I am happy, but not as much
I write from my heart that you can touch
I write because I’d go insane
I am driven to write quell my pain
At times I feel alone so I write what I am feeling
I write for it is self-healing
Confident not so I write it all away
I write and write to pass the day
I write to comfort my soul that cries out in the night
I write for love is always out of sight
I write so I don't have to cry any more
I write for I have no one to adore
I write so someone somewhere will hear my plea
I write for someone is out there for me
I am lost and I the clown
I write to turn my frown upside down
I write to embrace the sadness I hide inside
I write with my heart opened wide
I write to silence the ghost
I write for I’ve been let down by the one I loved the most
I write through the stormy weather
I write for I am light as a feather
I am not a writer nor am I a poet
I write for the grief I do know it
I will write until I draw my last breath
I write because I'll die a lonely death
I have to write for strangers delight
I write because I have to write
I write for my own happiness
I write to relieve my stress
I write because I have no other choice
I write as if I was writing a letter
I write because I can’t do any better
I write because I am afraid not to
I write for this is what I do
I write for I give a damn
I write just because I am

Don't Try to be Me
Don't try to be me
You'll find out that
They're some big shoes to fill
Because you've never been through
What I've been through
Don't try to be me
A person with little formal education
Who can pick up a paper and pen
And write or draw something good
Don't try to be me
Unless you want to go through
All of the operations
I've been through
And all of the doctor
I have to see

Lovers Walk
I wont walk with my head bowed
(be on) beyond caution where lovers walk
My love walks where threes a crowd
Beyond caution where lovers walk
Lovers walk, lovers scramble
Beyond caution where the lovers walk
Lovers step, shuffle and gamble
Beyond caution where lovers walk
Lovers trip, lovers stumble
Lovers dip, lovers fumble
Lovers lip where love has crumbled
Beyond caution where lovers walk
Lovers strut, lovers stroll, lovers leap
Lovers late, lovers wait
Making promises that they cant keep
Lovers link up arm and arm
Lovers slink up, lovers charm
Lovers drink up and come to harm
Beyond caution where lovers walk
Love is gone and its no ones fault
Love has stopped here, lovers halt
Lovers dont walk, lovers run
Will you look what love has done
Will you look what love has done
Will you look what love has done
Beyond caution where lovers walk
Now loves limping on a lovers crutch
Looking for a hand with a personal touch
Beyond caution where lovers walk

Kiss Me Softly
Theres a state of grace that happens every day
Its a feeling I thought lost of locked away
Another question to an answer that I know
Oh, are you coming home, coming home for sure
Id walk a thousand miles, just to hear you calling out my name
Chorus:
Kiss me softly kiss me slowly
I get lost in you like only lovers do
Hold me closer love me tender
I get swept away like only lovers do
Youve awakened something deep inside my soul
And every moment, every breath I feel it more
Your hidden treasures that you keep down deep inside
We make love freely as we watch the new sunrise
Id live a thousand lives if every one I loved could be with you
Repeat chours
Id live a thousand lives
If every one I loved could be with you...
Repeat chorus 2x
Only lovers, only lovers, only lovers do
Only lovers, only lovers, only lovers do
Only lovers, only lovers, only lovers do
Only lovers, only lovers, only lovers do

It is remarkable that men, when they differ in what they think considerable, are apt to differ in almost everything else... Thus they differ in affection, as they differ in judgement, and the contention which began in pride, ends in anger.

SONNET. VVere thy heart soft as thou art faire
VVere thy heart soft as thou art faire,
Thou wer't a wonder past compare:
But frozen Love and fierce disdain
By their extremes thy graces stain.
Cold coyness quenches the still fires
Which glow in Lovers warm desires;
And scorn, like the quick Lightnings blaze,
Darts death against affections gaze.
O Heavens, what prodigy is this
When Love in Beauty buried is!
Or that dead pity thus should be
Tomb'd in a living cruelty.

The Blank Paper
the blank paper
is like a virgin
woman,
it is not blank because
it wants to
there is this inner desire
to be scribbled
be it love or lust
or whatever
it is just its nature
to be written
anything that fills it up
with words
for its perfection
or even for its destruction
and soon
it will have its fate
a love letter kept for years
or a scratch paper
crumpled in the
bin
burned by another man's
lighter or
torn by a woman's
anger.

To the Infinite
Love is a fusion
of all surrounding familiarities
It incorporates in itself
all cares of culture;
custom; state and agency.
The affections of aged men
differ from those of young chaps,
And though it be same;
it comes in different forms and fragrances.
Some with power, pride
and pretence must love different
while those with lifetime on limb,
Their love is infinite.

One Love
Champions in action,
And of your lovers gone by too soon;
But i still have one love with the muse of my story.
I am the black soul you once loved,
So study me and take up your degrees!
For my black culture will always be with you.
One love,
Take me home to meet the 'Twelve Tribes of Yisrayl';
For your lovers are hiding behind them.
I am the portrait on your walls and like, 'My Boy Lollipop'!
For i am the African you once loved;
But i do have one love for you because,
My mind is beyond human at times and you came in loved me.

Chicken Bones
Never really got you cos hes always on his own
Never really got you because, ooh, you never loved him
Better write a letter cos hes always on the phone
Better write a letter cos, ooh, you never loved Im enough
You never loved him enough
Never loved him enough
Never loved him enough
He knows that hes pathetic as he stares out the window
Not peripatetic, he doesnt move a muscle
? drives an instamatic? , says she tell him real slow
He never really got it cos you never gave him enough
Never given him enough
Never given him enough
Never given him enough
Theres no fun in walking wounded, hes never loved
He wears a pained expression as hes takin off your clothes
Its only an impression of how you should have loved him
Step into the gutter cos you find him so shallow
He was the main attraction but turned back to yellow
This wouldnt be the lyrics if this was a song
You never will forget it cos, ooh, you never loved him enough
No, you never loved him enough
Never loved him enough
Never loved him enough
Never loved him enough

Pretty Paper (feat. Willie Nelson)
Kenny Chesney & Willie Nelson
Chorus:
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write I love you
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue.
Crowded street, busy feet, hustle by him
Downtown shoppers, Christmas is nigh
There he sits all alone on the sidewalk
Hoping that you won't pass him by.
Should you stop? Better not, much too busy
You'd better hurry, my how time does fly
And in the distance the ringing of laughter
And in the midst of the laughter he cries.
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write I love you
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue.
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue
Wrap your presents to your darling from you
Pretty pencils to write I love you
Pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue.
Oooh, pretty paper, pretty ribbons of blue...

What I want to write
What I want to write
I could not write.
I could not write
Tiger tiger cat cat
And the difference they behaved.
I could not write
The sky and its fall
On our forehead.
What I want to write
I could not write.
I write how I loved
How flower blosom
How fruit ripe
How stream flow.
I could not know
How I write
And I write
What I want to write
I could not write.

Losing
Oct 2012
Losing
My love for you inspires me to write poems of love, yet mixed with sadness and sorrow.
Loss and gain of finding and losing, of regret and fulfilment,
happiness and the denial of enlightenment in reality, that I was ment to write for you.
Love, yet not to posses, or to touch.
Only to write of loss and to live in reality, to write of what I may of had...
To write how I sabotaged love.. yet still.. and how I'm too hard to like never mind to love.
Its all written down on paper, in my mind scarred and seared into my heart, im just too out of reach
for anyone to want to....
Loving you, allows me to see this... I have failed...and I thank you for this...
I hope, I'm sure, love will never come my way again.
I write it all down for you,
using red ink.

Loved
Loved
Written by Ricky Wilde & Terry Ronald
Take all your goodness and shiness away
I'll tell you the things I've been longing to say
I'll break it to you just so you understand
The force and control that you hold in your hands
Make me the beat of your heart
Then fall into mine
One step at a time
You have no reason for doubting your feelings
Love isn't always the same
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
(Ooh you are loved)
Live for the moment according to you
And so when the time comes you know what to do
Trust me, I'm giving no secret away
I'm drowning in you but I want it that way
Make me the beat of your heart
Then fall into mine
One step at a time
You have no reason for doubting your feelings
Love isn't always the same
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
You are loved
(Ooh you are loved)
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
You are loved
(Ooh you are loved)
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
Rise to my world, fly to my arms
I love you
I'll make it for good, I'll make it forever
you know you are loved
Make me the beat of your heart
Love isn't always the same
You are loved
Ooh you are loved
(Loved you are)
(Loved you are)
(Loved you are loved)
Ooh you are loved
(Loved you are)
(Loved you are)
(Loved you are loved)
Ooh you are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
Ooh you are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You are loved
You I love
You
(You are the only one I love)
You are loved
(Loved you are)
You are loved
(Loved you are)
You are loved
You I love

Critiques
when they read your poem
and find some fleas there
and they scratch their heads
like saying: this is bad, this is really bad
and they crumple your poem
and throw it in their waste basket
and they junk the best poem you
have written taking you days and days to revise it
like it is a composition
of another nincompoop. a moron, a lesser kind of
the human being
like a bubble, a bumble, a bum, a belle, a keg,
a piece of feces
a ning nang nang nang
well, write another one.do not ever stop writing.
if you find the one that they have thrown in the waste basket
again, by chance,
redeem it,
take it back and iron out what difference have you
with that critique
(who has not written even a poem for his dog)
have patience. and always remember
you did not write the poem for him
you write it for you and your lover
and your loved one,
and another lover and many more lovers
of life and its
ecstacies
till kingdom come
be patient.
be ever patient.
it is you who has
seen the light. not them.
open another door.
go inside where your lovers dwell.
they will kiss you.
they will clap their hands
and drink beer with you.
and it will be dark again,
and you cannot sleep after you make love.
three times on the floor
and there and then
in your nudity
another voice comes inside your ears
asking that you write
about a floating blue butterfly
looking for the opening
of an orange
flower
another poem shall be written
early morning
be glad
the voice is still there
your shrink may tell you to name the voice.
for he thinks you are schizephrenic
to the max
do not tell him.
it is your secret with God.
be glad.write it.now.
