is nice to read since they are
not cliches, very much unlike
shakespeare or
mary oliver
i 've seen one and read it
over and over again
it feels like
trickling rain from
my forehead to my
spine
like this:
rain
rain
go
away
come
back
an
other
d

i am amazed
i think i will write about jack and jill went up the hill to get a pail of water.
jack forgot and
what is that? jill come rolling after?
the pail.
i am bitter.
sour i mean.
i don't belong
i am one kind of a frustrated contemp...
orary wri
ter.
well, i will try next time
i have to reread
bukowski's advice
i will wait
till the next tick.
oh well,
i got other things to do.
the grapes are sour anyway.

Jack And Jill
this is not the usual story of Jack and Jill,
this is reality
welcome. Jack married Jill
in 1985
the first year was bliss
until the second year
when Jack
was so pressured
in his work
and Jill who was left at
home
got so bored with nothing
to do
except to listen
to Jack's shifting
towards the corners
of insanity
and then one day
Jill cooked Chinese noddles
for their wedding anniversary
which of course
she did not recall
but Jack still had it vivid
in his mind
the expensive wedding gown
the diamond ring
and flashy car
and the well attended
grand reception
Jack went wild
and throw the hot noddles
in Jill's face
Jill went to the U.S.
married a white man
Jack finally landed
in a mental asylum
The house where they once
lived
got burned
nothing remained
except the vacant lot
foreclosed by
the bank
sad
Jack and Jill
did not live happily everafter

And I Am An Idiot, Right?
Seven years after they fell from the hill,
In a live-in relation were Jack and Jill.
They had found themselves a graduate course,
Jill was this learning's driving force.
So one fine day, back from the institute,
She said 'listen jack, i don't wanna talk to you'.
Of such an experience was jack destitute,
and so he asked 'can you tell me, what i did do? '
'No' she said, 'go find out if you want'.
'If you don't tell me baby, I sincerely can't'.
I don't care about that, she said, twitching her lips,
Clueless and insane he, already missing her hips.
'Don't touch me jack, you don't like me anymore',
Whats come to this woman he thought.
In the next two days, things got so sour,
that they did not even share the damned cot.
A week went by and he gets a call,
'How are you jack, my baby doll'.
Exclamation marks popped up his mind,
Why is this bitch acting so kind?
She wanted him to help with her Labor law work,
and he felt like the labor himself, just another clerk.
She thanked him as if nothing had happened,
What bloody character sketch, for women had god penned?
and then it was, 'come on jack lets make the bed'.
hey what happened to the big fight?
Definitely love, am coming in a minute, he said,
and thought 'and I am an idiot right? '

Explaining poetry
How can I ever explain poetry?
To a child it would be easy
Eenie minee minee moe
Catch the monkey by the toe
Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To get a pail of water
Is a poem easily understood by
A child
But to an adult
How can I ever explain poetry?
Can I explain it with a straight
Look in the eye
And I will tell him
Poetry Is looking a person straight in the eye
Yes you have only one more day to live?
Can I explain it to him
Like I have a gun and point it straight to his head
And say
Yes poetry kills and it kills you in a minute
And for free?
Or can I explain poetry to him
Like I am on the tenth floor of this building
And I tell him I am so problematic
And all I have to do is
Jump and kill myself
And he would be there
To tell me
Life is beautiful
There is reason to live
That I am loved
That many people still care
That I have a mission
That I have lots of good things to do
That this world has meaning
That I am the child of this universe
That I am no less than the trees and the stars and that by all means
I have the right to be here
That poetry can save
That poetry is one saving person holding one back to his senses
that poetry is hope, love, kindness
it has no word for hate
it does not kill
or enslave
or annihilate
Poetry is a decision
Not to jump.
That is poetry to me
And as an adult he must understand.

Fetching Water
Come on now; let’s go fetch some water
grab a pail in each hand and let’s go.
Down the hill, to the pond in the holler,
then we’ll climb back up the hill with that water!
Everyone today has forgotten
what it’s like to haul water in a pail.
Every house must have a Jacuzzi,
and a big swimming pool, as well.
Come on now; let’s go fetch some water
grab a pail in each hand and let’s go.
Down the hill, to the pond in the holler,
then we’ll climb back up the hill with that water!
And our homes must have a green lawn
to keep it looking really good!
The water we waste on that green grass
could be used by the farmer to grow food.
Come on now; let’s go fetch some water
grab a pail in each hand and let’s go.
Down the hill, to the pond in the holler,
then we’ll climb back up the hill with that water!
Don’t waste all of that precious water.
We have worked too hard to bring it here.
We can’t live without that precious water
let’s be thankful that it is so near.
Come on now; let’s go fetch some water
grab a pail in each hand and let’s go.
Down the hill, to the pond in the holler,
then we’ll climb back up the hill with that water!
Don’t be taking the water from the farmer
without it his crops will never grow.
All of life depends upon the water
Don’t take it for granted anymore.
Come on now; let’s go fetch some water
grab a pail in each hand and let’s go.
Down the hill, to the pond in the holler,
then we’ll climb back up the hill with that water!

Imploding In Their Conditioned Positions
Falling to pieces!
Quicker.
Faster.
Than anyone can remember,
Who Bo Peeped.
Or if creeps were involved,
With the fleecing of Mary's little lamb.
Or the padlocking of Mother Hubbard's house,
After stealing her homemade jam.
Falling to pieces!
Quicker.
Faster.
Than Jack and Jill,
Going up a hill...
To fetch a pail of tainted water.
Now everyone is looking down.
To discover anything on the ground,
Worthy to pawn!
After mentally being slaughtered,
By deceit nursed by thieves going on...
Discreetly allowed to do their crimes.
As those mumble in their fumbling,
To find reason and rhyme in trying times.
And ripe...
For an imploding,
In their conditioned positions...
To occur!

A strange gathering of the bards
There won't be any restrictions it seems
And poets from all over the world met here in the workshop.
I saw at a corner Sandra and Alison having a long chat
And behind them Jerry, Max, Denis, Dave, George, Duncan and some others
arguing of the current money crisis.
Amanda, Susie, Linda and Patricia just entered into the hall with a smile.
The reciting started in an auspicious time and my turn came after a while.
I was ashamed as I have nothing new to tell,
Then the conductor insisted; 'Tell whatever you like.'
I murmured; 'Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.'
'Hey! Darling you are sleepwalking nowadays and why did you carry this rusty bucket from the bathroom.' She squeezed my hand and grumbled.

Rain oh Rain
Rain oh Rain
When will thy come to wash my pain?
Rain oh Rain
I have been in tears all day
Rain oh Rain
Please do not go far away
Rain oh Rain
Release thy fresh water upon me
Rain oh Rain
Melt the ice and make me chill
Rain oh Rain
Wet the earth and make it plant bloom
Rain oh Rain
Let thy freshness embrace the earth
Rain oh Rain
Make me happy and filled with joy
Rain oh Rain
For thy presence i wait.

The Well That Becomes Dry
your rope and pail
shall find no use now
for the well that used to give you water
has gone dry
utter a word to it
and what you hear is nothing but an echo
dropp a coin
there will be no ripples anymore
a fish lives there
now dead buried on the cracks of the soil
inside is the emptiness
that it will keep till the next rain
the rope shall accumulate
dust
the pail shall have its own
rust.

My Sneaking Tears
How heavy fell the rain that day
From burdened clouds of mournful grey.
The torrent forced them stay their height -
Composure swayed by onerous might.
My skin wrung wet with icy chill
As mud embraced that sodden hill;
But mind of mine had elsewhere gone -
'Twas clouds abandoned I was on.
The driving drops advanced their gears
To camouflage my sneaking tears -
Whence now did swell such floods of pain
To see me melt into this rain…
On equal bearing now were we:
This rain, myself, in harmony.

A dour, a sour,
a glowering man
caught in his

Fraught in the rain,
again, a strain,
a pain the rain,

Rain CAN
rain cant tell a lie,
rain can be louder then a fly,
rain cant make shoes
rain can hit the roof
rain cant be nice (person wise)
rain can make ice
rain cant bleed
rain can grow a seed
rain cant draw a toon
rain can make a tune
rain cant be a loon
rain can make a monsoon
so rain can and cant do alot of things.

Lil Jack Horny
Mother goose
Never should haver ever let that jack get loose
But that little boy blue
Keeps messing all the things he gets his hands into
Now look what youve done
Stuck in your thumb, pulled out a plum
Mama says, boys will be boys
Thats lil jack horny
Mama says boys will be boys
Thats lil jack horny
Jack and jill
Went up and down and up and fooled around the hill
Now only time will tell
How late the rabbit will arrive in wonderland
Now look what youve done
Stuck in your thumb, pulled out a plum
Mama says, boys will be boys
Thats lil jack horny
Daddy says dont need no birth control
Thats lil jack horny

Rain Fragrance
The trickle rhymes, the heavy drums
The lullaby song, that’s the sound of the rain
Sudden cold shot, soothing wet blanket
Bath from heaven, that’s the touch of the rain
Sour of loneliness, bitter of anger
Salt of tears, that’s the taste of the rain
Aroma of soil, scent of grass
The air freshener, that’s the smell of the rain
Battle of nothingness, curtain of farewell
Crime romance, that’s the look of the rain

Rain Rain Rain
Rain, Rain, Rain, come again and again,
In the winter, in the summer and in spring,
Come with joy, fall with happiness and go with sorrow,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.
Rain, Rain, Rain come to relive earth's pain,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make nature happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come to make livings happy,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.
Rain, Rain, Rain don't go away,
Rain, Rain, Rain i hope you will stay,
Rain, Rain, Rain come again and again.

Rain On Me O' Rain Rain Rain
o' rain rain rain
come rain on me o' rain
rain on every plant that grow o' dear rain
rain on every resource o' dear rain
rain to green the plants
the plants that of nature's decor
rain on us and never let go
quench my thirst; to get so
rain on me o' rain rain rain
rain for happiness and leisure
rain for our children to play
rain on the soil for us this day
so, we plant more food to feed us this way
go to the fields and gardens; same way
rain o' beautiful rain
