The Suicide's Grave
On a tree by a river a little tomtit
Sang "Willow, titwillow, titwillow!"
And I said to him, "Dicky-bird, why do you sit
Singing 'Willow, titwillow, titwillow'?
Is it weakness of intellect, birdie?" I cried,
"Or a rather tough worm in your little inside?"
With a shake of his poor little head he replied,

He slapped at his chest, as he sat on that bough,

And a cold perspiration bespangled his brow,

her dream car: a pick-up

she is into the world of poetry

Summer Romance
I'm home alone tonight.
Full moon illuminates my room, and sends my mind aflight.
I think i was dreaming up some thoughts that were seemingly

We rendezvous at a quarter-two, and make sure we're alone.
I may have found a way for you and i to finally fly free.

She fell asleep on my shoulder.
I could hear her breathing sound.
My shoulder was getting uncomfortable
but I would not shift around.
I couldn't see her face it seemed
and even if I could
I could not tell if she dreamed?
Maybe she was dreaming of way back when
she was twenty and I was twenty-two.
Could anyone dream that far back
or was her memory gone in her dream too?
Slowly she had drifted away from me
and all that we'd ever been
was no longer our reality.
The days were long. The nights were short
and the mornings were always the same.
I looked at her. She looked at me
and asked, 'What's my name? '
I smiled at her and answered 'Precious' my dear.
'Oh' she then would exclaim.
Each day had become a sorrowful scene
and the time had finally come
when I knew I could no longer care for her.
My emotions were completely numb.
I felt her move on my shoulder
and I knew she'd come awake.
I grasped her so I could hold her.
She asked me 'Where are we going? '
I told her we're going home.
And so our lives which had once been blessed
had finally come to rest.
No more would I feel the weight of her head
sleeping on my shoulder
and the days of my life became colder.

I Breathe Poetry
i confess, i am the master
and i am asleep for years and years
because the curse is there hiding my name
in the tomb of fear and shame
i am the master who has not used the power
of words for years and years because
my tears were frozen
inside my eyes and i have not tasted salt
inside the niche that was built for me
now you come into my life like the winds
of the spring bringing me the flowers
and the rain and the sound of the river
and the songs of the little birds
the hush of your sorrow has given me rebirth
from the deep sleep.
