Cannabis Sativa

the way to enter into the magical mind
of my god, you take in the smoke of cannabis
sativa
like she were a goddess a diva
of the latvia,
via the ducts of the endocrine glands
testosterone like in power
penetrating the sweet emptiness of the
holes of the virginal nymphs
at the back of the university where the
ponds are so silent.

the nymph broke down wingless
in moans

that sound of weightlessness
as light as an ounce of air as free as a lock of hair
blown somewhere

Anger in your voices

It must be all that idle youth
with testosterone and estrogen booths
exstacy for exscape
excuses for rape
sodomy is chemistry
elaboration of sour dreams

Screaming
begging to be free
of what? Responsibilities
to yourselves and life
abilities to use for right
overtly hurting and painful insight

Damn children
slow down and retreat
be beaten back to your holes
your increasingly small bowls
eat your rice and meat
back to your holes, your beat!

Farewell My Rebel Latvian (For Erica)

Farewell my noble rebel so cold and deep the grave
But you were not afraid of death and you were always brave
You were my favourite brother the one I loved the best
The rebel heart from Latvia has gone to peaceful rest.

I remember back in Germany when you and your friend ran away
You planned to go to Latvia to join the rebel fray
But of course ye did not make it as ye were far too young
you were the lad of action who spoke with rebel tongue.

Farewell my brother Johnny you never lived to see
the greatest dream you ever had that Latvia might be free,
Free of the tyrant Soviets and their brutality
We had so much in common we loved our own Country.

Farewell my rebel Latvian with dignity you died
You bore your suffering bravely and and faced the end with pride
God thought you'd suffered too much and on your life quenched the light
And now you're in a freer World where you won't have to fight

Farewell my rebel brother my heart is flood with tears
You were my king and hero in hard and bitter years
But god he loved you better he took you from your pain
And we will meet in heaven I know we'll meet again.

Silent Girl [Reprise]

That silent girl broke my heart
That's her passing now
That silent girl I gave my love
It is her paid me with hurt
What would I say to this silent girl
When all she reply is silence
Maybe if I were to be a silent boy
I wound understand the tongue of silence
But I am no silent boy you see
But I love you like the waters in the sea
It flows and flows and never dries up
Please teach me to be a silent boy
So I can love you in silence
Share with you, your sweet and sad moments.

Silent girl of the river goddess
you are silent, I am silent,
Will you hear me?

Every Ounce Of Strength

(cropper / hayes / porter)
Ill put your pictures all around my wall
Ill build a tower of love that wont fall
Ill do everything I can
Ill try to be your own lovin woman
With every ounce of strength I have
Oh, yeah
Oh, there is nothing that I wouldnt do
To let the world know
Im crazy bout you
Id use all of my womans power
To keep you happy for a million hours
Every ounce of strength I have
Every ounce of strength I have
You can ask for what you want
And a-get what you ask
Id give my all to make
I would love for ever last
With every ounce of strength I have
Oh, yeah
Long as blood runs through my veins
Long as I can see clouds that bring on rain
Ill use a-all of my womans power
To keep you happy for a million hours
With every ounce of strength I have
Every ounce of strength I have
Im gonna keep you happy
With every, every, every, every ounce of strength I have
Every ounce
Im gonna keep you happy
With every, every, every

When They Call You, You Must Go

do not refuse a chance to be a hero,
so on this day,
or tonight, when they call your name
go,
do not tarry, be ready with the raincoat
and the flashlight
you just do not know what happens next
they will take you to the place
a house on the side of the forest
at the foot of the mountain
there is no fire there
no smoke
nothing is cooked for supper
there is a bleeding man
and he is groaning in pain
and they open the door and you enter
with your black leather bag
and they call you
doctor
there is no ideology here
nothing to talk about
and you begin to take away the bullet
that pierced his strong flesh in the arm
and on his belly
there is no anesthesia and so you put
a red cloth on his mouth
until he faints and then there is silence
no song for the dead even
you cannot sleep over this calling
until you find light
penetrating the holes of the roof
it is already morning
and they all left and you do not know
where they are going
a child with sharp eyes calls your name again
he lead you to the exit point
back to your
old house in the subdivision where you live
where your wife is waiting
your breakfast is ready, your coffee cold.

Empty Holes

Fill up the empty holes in my life.
Fill them before it's too late.
Find the missing qualities I have
and let the emptiness abate.

Recognition of these things I need
must be foremost in my mind.
Or the empty holes that need attention
will probably be left behind.

They will follow me like burned out stars
that cannot shine again.
And the emptiness I feel inside
will mark my journey's end.

Believing In Yourself

to start with
let me tell you right at this moment
you must learn
to believe in the powers vested by the gods
to yourself

the movement of your fingers upon the command
of your mind
cannot just be underestimated as something that
everyone does anyway

it will take a lot of scientific minds to really explain
how a nerve impulse is sent from your brain
to your fingertips
how you react to a pinch
or a simple smile from your lover

you move to the manner in eating a chunk of chocolate
how does your mouth water?
the imagination itself is so powerful
you thirst for something sweet
and like to melt this chunk of chocolate inside
your mouth
your tongue plays a tune
of a sweet sonata

do not underestimate the power of admiration and
remembering
do not disregard the power of your heart when it starts to love
and wanting to be loved in return
how it jumps in joy like a child
how it feels the pain
and how it wants to redeem itself when unrequited

you have these powers
these wonders

believe in yourself
you are part of this magical universe
the bursting of creation
the marvels of magical incantation

believe in yourself
you are a god/goddess undiscovered all these years
by yourself

your eyes not seeing
your heart so unfeeling

Angelic Qualities

Never did I tell you and I thought that you should know.

The first time I saw you in my mind I perceived a girl of angelic qualities,
And even though she was wingless she seemed to fly,
Her eyes a light unto the world, her eyes shimmering void
As though an ocean deep and sleepless dwelled within.
I knew before I knew you that I would love you and I
Knew that I would never tell you in the time we had.
I perceived you to be so far beyond me, a goddess,
Your own beauty beyond boundary.

Journey well soulful warrior and sleep tight within sweet dreams.

Light Is

Light is the breaking of dawn
Light is the load when you are just born
Light is a place without any fear
Light is when your lover is near
Light is a heart that's open and free
Light is a place where truth you can see
Light is a feeling that's good
Light is when everything's clear, understood
Light is the absence of dark
Light is a summer picnic in a beautiful park
Light is just simply walking on air
Light is what makes the shine in her hair
Light is what warms and what feeds
Light is not having any more needs
Light is a magical feeling inside
Light is the side of the street to reside
Light is always and always will be
Light is what joins us, him, you and me
Light Is.

Weirdo

The other day I came across
Someone I knew and he was lost
I dont care what we have done
You never will believe it
Its a life thats made for me
Where I can be completely free
So long as I obey this sound
That echoes all around
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
So, I thought this cannot be
Theres someone else in here with me
I dont care where we have been
You never will believe it
I know you and you know me
And were as happy as we can be
I know where this world belongs
It dont mean much to me
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key

Fire Goddess.

I am the fire goddess.
The one you tried to kill,
But did not succeed.

I am the fire goddess.
The one that never lingers,
Just goes ahead and riots.

I am the fire goddess.
The one that is thought to be evil,
But you misjudge my greatness.

I am the fire goddess.
The one with endless power.
The one with immense power.

I am the fire goddess.
The one that ruined his life.

I am the fire goddess.
The one that is ruining her life.

I am the fire goddess.
The one that will ruin their lives.

Everything In Its Own Time

Remember everything I told you
Keep it in your heart like a stone
And when the winds have blown things round and back again
What was once your pain will be your home
All around the table the white haired men have gathered
Spilling their sons blood like table wine
(spilling their sons blood)
Remember everything I told you
Everything in its own time
The music whispers you in urgency
Hold fast to that languageless connection
A thread of known that was unknown and unseen seen
Dangling from inside the fifth direction
(dangling from inside the fifth direction)
Boys around the table are mapping out their strategies
Kings all of mountains one day dust
A lesson learned a loving God and things in their own time
In nothing more do I trust
We own nothing
Nothing is ours
Not even love so fierce it burns like baby stars
But this poverty is our greatest gift
(nothing is ours)
The weightlessness of us as things around begin to shift
(the weightlessness as things begin to shift)
Remember everything I told you
(remember everything I told you)
Keep it in your heart like a stone
(keep it in your heart like a stone)
And when the winds have blown things round and back again
(when the winds have blown things round)
What was once your pain will be your home
Everything in its own time
Everything in its own time

Light Lift Me Up

Oh searching tired of love grown up, now it all falls out
Oh lovely dreamer - magic prince - swoop you up, swoop you up
But no no i, just one guess - man at all
While I grow up, came your way
Nobodys so special in this way, nobody to sweep you away
Oh light, oh light come and lift me up
Oh light please come lift me up
Oh sweet light come lift me up
When you go down remember your steps
As a baby rememberin how he walked
Rememberin all the sweetest dreaming you did
While you tick-tock along, but now all gone
Theres nothing here for your dream but hope in a song
Just like the bent back of an old woman that you know
Its all gone and severed and alone, so I rhyme
So now all you see is sad
All look the same as the wall inside
She feels swallowed up, she feels tired as she could
Creepin along this wall
And this wall its so long
Its a wall, and lips theyre alone
Sweet lips theyve lost their way a while
Like the bent back of an old woman
Whats true that way?
Whats true, hey way?
I came crying to you, came on me knees
Begging father lift me up please
But no as I came down, no flowered sound
Just emptiness in side me
Oh light lift me up, please lift me up
Come down and pick me up already
Forgive me all my selfish ways sweet light
Pick me up from my misery
Im gonna get away - Im back to you
The way that I do
The way that I picture you
The way that I picture you
Lift me up, from the bottom to the top
Lift me up, sweet light
Lift me up, from the bottom to the top
Lift me up, sweet light
Lift me up, bottom to the top
Lift me up, sweet light
Lift me up, from the bottom to the top
Lift me up, sweet light

Midnight Walk

Dusty,
Dust roads,
Chimney dark
Smoke,
Slivers of moonlight,

Shadows of hip
Hop toads,
And plop,
Plopping
Fish-ringed
Water ponds.

Flashes of light,
Shudders of
Thunder-Pounded
Sky,
Gusts of
Wind-blown wind,

Wolf-dog’s howl,
Screech-cat’s cry,
Heartbeat’s beat,
And rain
Rained street.

More Power in One Ounce of Detergents Used

There is more power in one ounce,
Of detergents used...
To remove stains out of dirty laundry,
Or the washing of greasy dishes...
Than all of the power that is witnessed,
By those claiming it in overdoses...
In defending a status that exposes holes,
Clear through...
With a showing of their interpretations of it.

Having such power to misuse,
In the excusing of abuses...
Isn't power.
What it is is an ability to achieve perceptions,
That leave anticipation of expectations...
Feeling the goods are not as great,
As a picture that leaves portrayals of imitations.
With a tastelessness and nothing there to satiate,
To qualify such hype.

His Lock Of Hair

I looked at him and thought to myself
I must keep a lock of his hair.
So I clipped it while he was asleep
for there would soon be none to spare.
I remember when I saw him first
his hair was what caught my sight,
so full and wavy catching the light
as dark as a moonless night.
I would run my fingers through it
and see a smile on his face.
I would watch and see him groom it.
Not a strand was out of place.

Little by little it was not as full
and the treasure I would see
was slowly leaving as days went by
and I knew eventually
that his beautiful crown of glory
would become a thing of the past.
And so the lock of hair I clipped
was saved so it would last.
For now that his hair has fallen away.
I show him the lock I did save.
He smiles again as he's done before
as he finishes his morning shave.

Cuckoo’s Melody Vavroovahana Patra

Cuckoo’s sweet melody echoes in profound solitude, reverberates in silent atmosphere;
The sweet tune vibrates in the environment, contents poet’s desire.
Fragrance of mango-blossoms pervades through the vernal breeze;
Poet enchants in the lap of Nature being crazy.

Divinity reigns through the melody on Earth;
Earthy creatures rejoice with mirth.
Poet surrenders on the feet of mother Vinapanee, the Deity;
Depicts beauteous verses with gaiety.

Through the vernal breeze goddess mother Basantee blessth all innocent honest creatures;
Penetrating rays of wisdom contents their desires.
Cuckoo’s marvelous melody brings inspiration;
Beauteous is goddess mother’s creation.

When glands dry, feelings for women and sex dry.
To keep it alive, you be to charm the blondes
And in their arousal, your glands are squeezed.

Of Shadow of Light

The rain on the stars,
of light and shadow,
both wrought of the same substance,
gave way to the life,
and on each dropp sang the nymphs,
whose names invoked a deep mundane power,
both real and elusive,

So the flood of shadow and light,
flowed on each star,
within angels' sight,
and so were drowned all stars,
in shadow, in light,
that each came to come,
to separate day from night,

And so the sun,
of fire,
began from water,
and a song of the nymphs,

of Shadow of Light.
