Bland
his words are bland
and i think i understand
inside his cell
darkness and emptiness
and silence
words
becoming intense
he felt all of them
like pins
and here you are disturbed
angry
and wanting to kill
what mockingbird is there
if only you
have felt what drowning is
on that well
where the water runs dry
you would not have
become like him
engulfed by this huge mouth
of emptiness
vomited you run the streets
endlessly without direction

Empty Now
you are telling me that what i did was so hurting
it was you who was bombarding me with a hundred words
per minute
as i was
sitting on the rocking chair facing the sea where this time the wind keeps on
rushing
on my
face
i assure you i was listening to every word you are saying because i have told you once and i am telling you again and again i love you and i will always love you till
the end
of time
and you still keep bombarding me with all those words that you were hurt by my telling you i love you i love you i love you yet there is something untrue
you did
not kiss
me yes
you for
got the
kiss
the real reason why you said i love you is because i asked you to tell me and to repeat the words that i missed hearing after ten years of this marriage
you are
cruel
in the
silence
in between
the words
demanded.
it is the emptiness of your words that is killing me it is this emptiness that
is telling the truth this emptiness between us so huge so wide i cannot
anymore
reach you
you have
shut me
out from
your full
ness from
your wall
words.

How Does One Hear The Echoes Of Silence?
silence. Does not speak, silence is dead.
it is buried underneath the mouth,
and simply rots there, like dust,
with worms. It will be the worms
that shall utter silence, but at the end
silence is devoured
and gone.
what you hear and see is this
emptiness. it has feet and walks in air.
and tinkers in space, some moods and
feelings, fleeing, fleeting,
this emptiness speaks a lot
some words turning themselves
from elves to giants to cyclops
to monsters of the universe
where this emptiness dwells
it is in my heart, always, resounding,
with lots of echoes as it reaches
the walls of the farthest planet
and comes back to me
like the twinkling of a star.
and then i am full.

Emptiness Comes
EMPTINESS COMES
Emptiness comes-
There is nothing to say
Nothing to write-
But Nothing is for me only nothing
It is not the goal and the meaning-
Egolessness belongs to saints of a certain kind
I am not a saint-
Emptiness disappears with the writing
Words and meanings come-
I suppose one will be empty forever
When one is alive
What can Emptiness give?
I have written against the Emptiness
And am less empty now for now-
Thank God I no longer feel empty now-

The Silence Is Emptiness
THE SILENCE IS EMPTINESS
The silence is emptiness
But emptiness is not peace.
The silence is emptiness
The emptiness of ‘nothing to say’.
The silence is the end of who I am.
All I began as
Has come to only this-
The silence.

Silence Echos
Silence
makes my heart break
Silence
Love, does not make
Silence
Was it all just a terrible mistake?
Silence
Was love just a game, just fake?
Silence
Leaves me heartbroken
Silence
Kills he feeling behind words unspoken
Silence
has is a shield you hide behind
Silence
Guards what's on your mind
Silence
Chills your heart's sound
Silence
Love cannot silently be found
Silence
has turned your dreams blind
Silence
is darkness in which you cannot find
Silence
Crushes the hopeful feelings that were kind
Silence
Of emptiness it did remind
Silence
Silence took all I sought to find
Silence
Silence was hurtful and unkind
Silence
Will kill love before it ripens on the vine
Love will go silently
But it's lonely hurt will echo for all time

The Things You Say
Words
Said in a careless huff as you walked away
Hurt
Words
Said in a whispered excited voice
Caused electricity in me
Words
Said in a caring loving way
Were a balm for the wound in me
Words
Said in an angry menacing way
Felt like daggers thrown at me
Words
Said like sugary sweet morning due
Caused my knees to go weak
Words
Words, Words, Words..
Your words have so much power over me
Words
Said like a magic spell
Have enchanted me
Words
You throw around those words so carelessly
Do you know
Words
How they have been affecting and inflicting me..

As A Matter Of Sustenance
as a matter of survival
the last bite of the chocolate
tongue need not be
delicious to the tongue.
you let it roll inside your
mouth, let the tongue relish
it a bit, till it melts there.
this is senselessly
numbing, such sweet
taste of life, and then
this emptiness of the
mouth, needing a fill
for a glassful of water.
this is senseless,
there is no more meaning
for the filling up and the
emptying, except the hands
that keep on running and
running meaningfully on
the keys, listening merely
to the sound of words,
and nothing more, there
is this senseless search
for an understanding this
logicality, this madness
for reason, the heart aches
in shame, unable to accept
the ease of an explanation.
let it be, let the eyes shed
tears, let the flesh tremble,
till darkness comes, till the
silence of the stars.

Silence Came After Days Of Struggle With Words
SILENCE CAME AFTER DAYS OF STRUGGLE WITH WORDS
Silence came after days of struggle with words
After many awkward failures
Out of the understanding
That nothing more could be done.
Silence came of exhaustion and emptiness and defeat
Not the beautiful silence we love
But the silence of desperation.
Silence came and made me look at my lines
With discomfort and dissatisfaction.
I break the silence now
Without any assurance whatsoever
That I should.

1+1=1
I dispute his permutations
At least twice a day; him, I curse
Me; he often pinches and wrenches
Well! I understand his compulsions
He too does sympathize my follies
Again, we laugh off our excesses
Runs thus our rollercoaster romance
Yet, lingers a feeling of emptiness
I asked him, “Why this gulf between us;
Aren’t we very, very close friends;
with consensus of minds? ”
He smiled, “You understand me. Yes.
But you don’t know me in essence”
I asked, “Hey! What is the difference?
Both words sound me in same sense
When do I know you in wholeness? ”
Trickled down HIS words mysterious
“When you become I, and I …..you”

Those Simple Words That I Speak To You
many times i want
to go away from simple words
those that you can easily understand
and hence take for granted
words which you think have
no life
which means that i have too
to go away from you
which i cannot
because without you i cannot breathe
i cannot speak
i may die and perhaps i may only
speak those words
that will understand only themselves when i am finally taken
into their bosoms
filled with eternal emptiness

I Wanted A Poem To Break The Silence
I WANTED A POEM TO BREAK THE SILENCE
I wanted a poem
To break the silence
Of my own inner emptiness-
No thought no feeling
Blank inside-
These words too flat and emotionless
Strive to move me back to myself-
But there is nothing in me now
But the waiting to be ‘real’ again-
I am alive now
But I am nothing inside-
Blank words trying to be a poem-
And lines written as if I were only
A slave of the idea
of my being somehow
a writer of Poetry.

The Silence Of Nothing To Say
The silence of nothing to say
Is forcibly broken by the will for words
A poem is made not born
And there are nights when only determination can say anything-
I write now in the shadow of the night
When all the light is artificial
When inside me is only an empty emptiness
A quiet of nothing deep or beautiful –
I can make a poem out of nothing
But then it may be nothing too
Words alone are not enough
The truer poem comes out of something deeper I do not have now
Let the words play
Let the silence be broken
Let this night be written down
For the empty poem it is.

Bodhisattva Nightmare
i felt the bullet
as your body fell,
the sickening gasp of light
lost in the void...
i felt the empty
of your stomach turning,
as you staggered weakly
down that long dusty road.
i felt the bone crushing pain
as he struck your face,
again and again....
i felt the sickness
of the stench of the alley...
i felt the fear and despair of the cell,
the not knowing when
it was going to come...
i felt the hatred and fear
they tormented you with,
for who you loved,
and the way you lived....
i felt the hopelessness
of the hard ass streets,
the gun in your pocket...
the monkey on your back....
i felt.... and still feel!

A Swarm Of Bees....
inside a frame a boy puts some words
he does not know how to choose wisely
he plays his game and goes on without really knowing
what happens next
the words begin to move and argue with each other
some have become elves and pumpkins and they crowd inside the frame
unmanageable now
the words cross the borders of the frame and begin to grow transparent wings
flying away like a swarm of bees to the sky
and the little boy is left with nothing but the emptiness of the slate
when he grows to become a man
somewhere in the middle of his dying age
he understands what that childhood game is all about
it is about a momentary crowd, the gathering and the bothering
and then the wings and winds and wondering
until what is left is the emptiness which he knows well
as the synonym of what others have died of...
nothingness....all the bees go there.

In Loosing Control
Your translucent metaphors
Make my blue words to become
Seeds of a mirrored thinking.
My words need your metaphors to scream,
While emerging from their painful cage.
They need to be washed
Again and again
In the Light downpour.
My words need to be loved, sweetheart,
Their mad escape happens
Sometimes, in haste.
You can make them to get out
By being so well
Mixed with hate and pain.
My words may bite your lips
In a love kiss, baby.
My words need the blood of your love.
Moreover,
They need to breathe your love
In loosing control.
Your words are leaves,
Sometimes,
Being carried off their knowledge to spread
Inside of me
For changing something-
Your very red, orange and yellow words,
Preceding the white silence of our winter.
Your words, my love,
Can become icy cubs slipping into my hot mouth
To kill my silence.
In-between dark and light,
In our secret dawns,
You make me miss their sweet touch
Inside of me
In making them to be
Love.

There Is A Time When One Has Nothing Inside
THERE IS A TIME WHEN ONE HAS NOTHING INSIDE
There is a time when one has nothing inside
No birds sing
No longings demand their realization
Only the endless emptiness
Of what one has never been
The endless ambition to be
Without knowing what to be
Nothing inside
Endless hopelessness
Little fear
Waiting
No poem either
Nothing inside
But only
Emptiness
And more Emptiness
Like these lines
So small
So pathetic
So unworthy of ‘Poetry’
As if one’s life too
Were a meaningless passing of nothingness to nothing else.

In your eyes
speechless tears
darkness endless
silent night sky
all my emptiness
would find destiny
if all those tears
all those silence
all those words
come to an end
in your eyes.

Deep Water
Is it a crime for me to be feeling this way
I'm going out of my mind and there's
no change from a runaway love
Is it a dream (is it a dream)
That I'm throwing in the wishing well
I'm losing control my body and soul
(body and soul)Standing here waiting
for a train that may never come
I saw the signs I read the books
I should of had a second look
ut you caught me dreaming
nd there were times you'd come around a
we'd agreed to just be friends tell
me who it's fooling oooo
Deep water I'm drowning
Deep water I'm slowly drowning in deeper
Deep water I'm drowning
Deep water I'm slowly drowning in deeper
what do I say(what can I say)
where words have failed me before
what do i do when i'm feeling so blue
and there's no place for me to run and hide
I saw the sun inside your smile and wished
for then just awhile cause boy you caught
me dreaming a giant step into the dark
and we through caution to the wind tell
me who we're fooling oooo
Deep water I'm drowning
deep water i'm slowly drowning in deeper
Deep water i'm drowning
deep water i'm slowly drowning deeper
i'm drowning
deeper deeper i'm drowning in deeper
oh i saw the signs i read the book
i should have had a second look
cause boy you caught me dreaming
and there are times youd come around
and we'd agreed to just be friends tell me who it's fooling
Deep water i'm drowning
deep water i'm slowly drowning in deeper
deep water i'm drowning
deep water i'm slowly drowning in deeper
deeper deeper deeper
i'm drowning in deeper
(drowning in drowning in drowning in)
deeper deeper deeper
so deep is the water
(drowning in drowning in drowning in)

When The Love Is Gone Winter Days Come!
What stays there
When the love ends
Nothing is the same
Oh how hurts this pain
Everywhere is dark,
Huge emptiness
Covered and has ebbed my soul
The sense of loneliness
Nothing can fill this rough emptiness
That has empired my soul inside
Though its summer time,
But inside me storms are howling by
Oh love you always bring the spring days
And when you are gone
Unending winter days come,
