Being Lost In Cloudy Skies

it is the longing
denied
that these eyes
inflict pain upon
its macular
hole

it is this darkness
that is missing light

it is this
denial that presses
truth to the
edge
banging its head
against
the unprecedented
wall

the thoughts
fly upon its big
black wings

beak pointing to
a landscape
in that dream

clouds hang
fold upon layers and layers
blurring
the vision of
your destination

it cannot go back
it has no option but to
move and fly some more

it cannot fall
its feet cut by the sharp
edges of the winds

it finally becomes
an illusion
dissolving in flight

Layers

Above are layers of atmosphere, stratosphere,
Below layers of topsoil, rock and clay,
People in layers rich and poor,
Cities built on top of cities, on top of cities.

Layers of thought conscious to unconscious,
Felt in layers asleep to awake,
In a dream of a dream, of a dream in a dream,
In a dream of a dream, in a dream.

Believe

I was holding on, now I'm letting go
This is nothing more than a picture show
Everything I knew now I hardly know
Busy keeping less never getting more
One more nickel dime I'm out the door
This kind of life I can't afford
I want to believe
There's something to believe
I would live only
Just to believe
Oh, I'd love to believe
It's not only me that's longing
Only just to believe
'Cause I want to believe
I want to believe
Can't put my mind at ease with the words I say
Trying to get myself to get out of my way
Birds in the trees just make me depressed
Seeing sunny skies, feeling emptiness
Layers of lies just seem to fold
This kind of life is all I know
I want to believe
There's something to believe
I would live only
Just to believe
Oh, I'd love to believe
It's not only me that's longing
Only just to believe
'Cause I want to believe
I want to believe
Murder wears a friendly smile
Like the perfect end in a plastic vial
No pain
Sorry I can't seem to stay
But this bird was meant to fly away
Fly away, fly away
Layers of lies just seem to fold
This kind of life is all I know
I want to believe
There's something to believe
I would live only
Just to believe
Oh, I'd love to believe
It's not only me that's longing
Only just to believe
'Cause I want to believe
I want to believe
I will believe
I'd love to believe
I can believe in something
I will believe
I'd love to believe
I can't believe in nothing

At 25k Feet Above

on a bed of clouds
feet dangling into the sea
you and me

above the clouds
the horizon beckoned us
we glided in the air

bits and pieces
clouds dispersed below the sky
new horizon teased

in a wink
the clouds spread as one grey spread
we melted as rain

vapour they turned
the heat within melted
we rocked

wings cut
through layers and layers of
moving vapours

slowly descended
we from the clouds above
earth-reality!

ah, you lifted me
above earth; closer to sky
dropped me on land again!

Take A Pick For The Moment

we meet i only have one layer
we talk and i added another layer
we discuss and i added more layers
we dive to a certain depth and of course
i have to add more and more layers
so i may not drown
so i may not be too vulnerable to pressure

and when we come out of the water
our faces surfacing you do not recognize me anymore
i have layers and layers of myself
that even me
i cannot anymore recognize

the violence within
this turbulence of the self
this storm inside us
this layers and layers of selves
covering the truth

how can i ever uncover
what my depths cover from time to time
when you utter my name?

when you tell me that
i am myself.

there is no self.
There is no us.

There is no future.
I have only the past
and My now

Like a fruit basket
all fresh on top of your table.

Just take one
The apple perhaps.
And fill yourself.

For the moment.

A Snake

life is covered by a layers of skins-meaning, culture, conversational skills, talks, established education, certificates, friends, neighbours, dignity, concepts conditioned, sociality and liberty
When these skins fall off, one cannot even touch the softest metaphors of communication-light itself for success in life
A snake of life
Poisonous thin layers of knowledge of the world
Ancient wisdom comes back as a river of lost footsteps
In the forest of mindscape
A snake
Layers of skins taking off the airports of body
Now you are a man but not a human installing the humanity you yourself are longing for
A snake losing its tracking lines on earth

Shaking In Red (song)

Shaking in red, in red, in red
To the edge of the dream, of the dream
We can’t be separated
Already, every time when I’m stifled to death after I give up again and again
My emotions that have no place to go wake me up
Your flawless smile knows it’s an existence
So distant that it’s cruel
Even though the incurable wound only eats away at my heart
Even now I can’t completely hold back my thoughts (that dwell) (within) the darkness
Shaking in red, in red, in red
To the edge of the dream, of the dream
We met; destiny begins to turn
A secret that no one, no one knows about
I fall, I fall, I fall
I certainly can’t return anymore, even if I carve out my my sins
While I was walking in the abyss of loneliness, I was saved
By realistic eyes that never change
But a shadow born as the light is bright
Deeply and pronouncedly creeps up to me
The two heartbeats are exactly like mirrors facing each other
The (pains) are similar (but) different and continue infinitely
Burning in red, in red, in red
Erasing everything, everything
An unfulfilled illusion begins to move
Strongly, strongly
Overcoming, overcoming, overcoming the fleeting night
I certainly can’t escape, even if I drown in my sins
Shaking in red, in red, in red
To the edge of the dream, of the dream
We met; destiny begins to turn
A secret that no one, no one knows about
I fall, I fall, I fall
I certainly can’t return anymore, even if I carve out my my sins

So many layers

every poem
i wrote
a part of me
taken off
a butterfly
leaving behind
its larvae
to take on wings
and colours
to explore the world
to give world
another layer
to fascinate over
van gogh
that shed
so many layers
to bring out
those layers
on his canvas
to our hearts
layers of pains,
tears, and......

Modern Vertigo

Standing uncentered
At a canted angle-
Slanted in my frame of mind.
I can see a clear destination ahead.
All that empty, white space-
A long shot extended to the edges,
The scenery bleeding out before my eyes.

I'm boxed-in by all the possibilities.
Opportunity, sprawling and vast,
Compresses me in depressive formats,
Feeling out of focus-
A disjunctive cut blurring in and out-
As my reticle zooms
In choppy shots.

The sleek, stark status quo
Keeps me claustrophobic
As time and expectation come ever closer.
Almost simultaneously,
They move far from me,
Distant while I stand on the conveyor belt
That rolls me toward them.

I'm dizzy and nauseous,
More upset than my stomach
In the dysfunctional, disrupted inertia
Of my stationary position.
I'm light-headed,
But my thoughts are heavier and darker
As the floor tugs and jerks under my feet.

My speech slurs,
Slushing laterally
To the side, unbalanced,
Tipping, toppling over itself.
My vision, splitting,
Spins in a helix shape
Accelerating around the sharp turns.

I need to readjust myself.
This recurrent unsteadiness
Slingshots the world
In my saccadic lens.
In this modern vertigo,
I get my close-up
As I fall away.

Know my Pain

what is p.a.i.n,
pain is power asserting itself now,
usually expressed in the traumatizing rain,
letting your soul and your mind allow,
to bring about visions of despair,
that is towering over your heart,

what is a h.e.a.r.t,
a heart is howling expressions of a righteous tear,
yes, a heart is something that is always injured,
protected with a soul and mind,
that is always blocking a light,
leaving the heart confused and blind,
wandering and falling but still trying with all its might,

what is a s.o.u.l
a soul is a small outburst under layers,
indeed, a soul is something that needs pain,
yet, it doesn't have a heart,
it needs layers,
these layers are us humans,
humans complete the idea that,
(S.O.U.L) are (H.E.A.R.T) but is held down by (P.A.I.N)

fear my pain,
feel my pain,
hate my pain,
this is my pain,
KNOW MY PAIN

Island Fever

Island fever
I think Ive got a touch of island fever
I do believe I feel a bit sauteed
This morning I was just some nonbeliever
Tonight I feel Ive joing a wild crusade
I never thought of life as being breezy
I never thought of time as time to play
I never thought that I could take it easy
But all those feelings changed for me today
Layers and layers of spices and flavors
Are finding their way to my brain
Layers and layers of costumes and players
That make my whole life look insane
Palm trees and views I cant believe
Why would I ever want to leave?
I think Ill take my shoes off and go walking
Down beside the caribbean sea.
I like the funny sounds of parrots squawking
I think I hear a hammock calling me.
Layers and layers of spices and flavors
Could this be some kind of charade?
Layers and layers of costumes and players
I think I will join the parade
Layers and layers of spices and flavors
Could this be some kind of charade?
Layers and layers of costumes and players
I think I will join the parade
I think Ive got a touch of island fever...

The Sun In Clouds

The sun in clouds,
Dim, dull and subdued outside,
Has ever lost his fierce sunshine?
The layers of clouds
That hide the sun in distant heaven
Could ever reach the worlds of the sun?

The sun is a giant living ball
That lights a hundred lightless worlds
Like a sole bright eye of a pitch-black heaven;
How the world of minute clouds
Reach the flames of the imperious sun,
Who guts all shams and burns all sins?

The sun is not in clouds,
But the eyes in clouds see so,
Those eyes lose shine in front of the light;
How can little frogs
Stretch beyond the clouds
And reach the truth of the sun’s splendours?

For the eyes caught in hazy clouds,
The proud sun is dull and subdued
And humbled by valiant windstorms;
Crack the clouds and see outside;
The sun is as bright and fierce as ever,
Whom no clouds touch nor storms reach.

Clouds may come and clouds may go,
But the sun remains the same,
A bright glow, far removed from the earth,
In gay abandon of an unattached soul,
With floods of light, thrown all round
For those who see with unclouded eyes.

The sun, so hot, none endeavour to reach;
The sun, so bright, none open their eyes;
The sun, the tough, proud lonely splendour
Reigns over heaven in imperial grace;
None reach his height, none withstand his might,
But, win his heart or avoid his sight.

The scorching heat of his inmost core
Creeps like lava on uneasy skin
Thro’ the layers of thick and black clouds;
His unsubdued heat
Rouses wild whirlwinds
That scatter clouds in the nether world.

Beyond the mortal measures, beyond praise and trials,
The sun shines forever;
Beyond minute clouds in the womb of black sky,
The sun shines forever;
For, the celestial glow should light the world
And meet universal goal.

The Flight Of a Bird

Wings stretched, eyes wide
As the nest wobbles side to side
The small bird sits on it's edge
His heart racing as he looks off the ledge

A little lumo in his throat keeps his beak tight
And he swallows and takes in the sight
His small heart pounding, his tallons spread
Thoughts racing through his head

He bounces once, twice, his first try
He lands on his back, back in the nest, and lets out a sigh
He gets back on the edge for another try at flight
He watches, determined to fly before night.

He bounces again and rises into the sky
His eyesclenched closed, he gulps, and hopes he won't die.
A little squeak omes from his beack
He flops his wings with fury and he takes a peak

His eyes now wide with joy with pride,
He flies so gracefully, as a human may stirde
Through the endless daylight
He flies like a small childs kite.

His heart slows as he swoops
And he preforms a loppy- loop
Then he sees the light dim and he swoops like a jet,
As he flies into the sunset.

I Am Folding This White Paper

i am folding this paper
the way you want it
to every corner i give my sigh
in my mind
the paper shall be this bird
you want it to be

my friend, you always dream
of flight
and this paper soon shall
be what you want
to be
a bird with strong wings
gathering winds
taking in the big storm

today it is finished
and you shall take it
then in your wildest dreams
added in the layers of your
years

you shall fly away

Hole In My Wall

Through the hole in my wall,
I see into your head
a beggers day banquet
on a four poster bed
It's food for the eyes
drink for the soul
The hole in my wall
I can't let myself go
CHOURS
I'm spinning 'round and 'round
('round and 'round and 'round)
Don't let me down
(Ooh I groove) Through the hole in my wall
(Love the view) Through the hole in my wall
(Velvet Blue) through the hole in my wall
(I see you) through the hole in my wall
The hole in my wall, lets in the sound
Of bodies and sweat, and merry-go-rounds
The whole in my wall, is better than sex
An x-rated Disneyland, gooving T-Rex
CHORUS (2 X's)
Through the hole in my wall.

You a Brick wall

You a Brick wall
Around me
Imprisoned some say
'locked in'say others!

But wall stands tall around me
It protects me
When I need protection the most
I have built it
With mere thought
carefully
in passionate fires roasted
High and lofty
red brick rack
four sides fall
each holds a memory
In safe storage!

To makes me see its colour
To awaken my self pride
And arch my back
To crane my neck
To look beyond
Yet my eyes
tend to look straight
Only to see its texture fine

Happy my soul
Wishes to fly out not
No more feels
stifled within
It is accustomed
To its disappointments
Has caved in; to reality

Letting a single tear
Fall to express the anguish
The inner truth
Expressed
Yet unexpressed
For words have failed
When emotions choke

Till hope
In black robes of
A spirited raven
Comes into the window
To hop about
With its beak
scraping the edges

A new pattern to emerge
On the red brick wall
This fall
A new seasonal change
Is due
What say you?
Asks the raven…

Naughty you!
Head coquettishly cocked
To one side

I can not help smiling!

Hole In The Wall

Hey babe, where did you go
When the down down got too much
Hey baby, where will you be found
When the down down gets to much
We were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Hey babe, where will you be
When the crack crack gets too much (crack)
Hey babe, where will you go
Oh, we were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Chorus
Theres a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
Ooh a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
(she has under our expert persuasion)
(has implicated you in high treason)
(you are under arrest)
(do you have any final requests, requests)
Its a move to take you through
Its a move to take you through
Its a move to take you through
To take you through
To take you through
(you have until the sand runs up)
(do you have any final requests)
(you look great, you look great)
(you look great)
Hey babe where will you go when the hole in
The wall is shut
Wow, babe you know where Ill be when that
Hole in wall is shut
We were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Chorus
Theres a hole in the wall
Ooh - a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
Catch it before you fall

Petroleum for the Mind

sometimes, i feel getting to your poetic self
is like prospecting for petroleum?
you dig through layers and layers of years
before you could get to the subtle aspects
of your pscyhe, where you either find black
gold or just echoes of disappointments
the morass of black, if you work hard enough
can be refined to run minds like posh cars on the streets
