A Wednesday Treat
Wednesday, at the middle of this array,
you doubt, where to?
you want to be back
or you want to go forward?
they have forgotten you
and you try standing at the center of the kiosk
a pity, this pity asking for attention
and they all pass by without looking at you
there is simply no change expected on a Wednesday
there is this shuffling of shadows
gaze not fixed at all on the wall
it is the same rain, the road, the trees
you give up this madness for a name
you take your slippers and wear them and then go away

Wednesday
To everyone else Wednesday is nothing more than
the middle of the week. But to me Wednesday is
much more than three days to Saturday. See to
me Wednesday is like Christmas, my birthday,
and Valentines Day all rolled up in to one.
For every Wednesday my love and I take time out
for one another. We run a warm bath with milk
rose bubble bath and light candles. As we soak
we gently caress and hold one another. Then
after the bath we dry off, and go sit by the
fire. Meanwhile, as Kenny G. plays on the
stereo we snuggle. Now as we snuggle I watch
the reflection of the crackling fire in my
lover's eyes, and it makes me fall in love with
my lover all over again. Now, after about an
hour of snuggling by the fire we both drift off
to sleep in each others arms. Only to be
awaken by Thursday morning's sunlight.
This is why Wednesday is much more
than just the middle of the week to me.
Wednesday Morning
Written by gerry beckley, 1998
Found on human nature.
Wednesday morning was the last time we talked
I guess she figured it was better if she walked
It couldve been me just the same
Theres no winner in this game
Oh, wednesday morning was the last time we talked
Wednesday evening was the first time she cried
It couldve turned out different if Id lied
Something deep within us all
Sees the writing on the wall
Oh, wednesday evening we didnt talk at all
Ive been waiting every evening
Wondering what Im gonna say
Sometimes life can be deceiving
Wednesday wont go away
It couldve been me just the same
Theres no winner in this game
Oh, wednesday evening and nothing is the same
(oh) Ive been waiting every evening
Wondering what Im gonna say
Sometimes life can be deceiving
Wednesday wont go away
Wednesday morning, yeah
Sometimes life can be deceiving
Wednesday wont go away
Ive been waiting every evening
Wondering what Im gonna say
Sometimes life can be deceiving
Wednesday wont go away, yeah
Wednesday morning, yeah
Sometimes life can be deceiving
Wednesday wont go away
Wednesday morning, yeah

Get Up Off Your Pity Pot To Stop It
To wiggle out from under all doubts,
With a hanging them out to dry...
In front of passersby to eye,
Is intended to get attention.
Give those petty bits of pity,
To solicit empathy...
Away.
Today.
And...
Throw those doubts you've picked to pity,
With that selfishness that doesn't pay...
To get attention to gain.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
And...
Get up off your pity pot to drop.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
'Cause,
Believe this or not...
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.
Fight those doubts to stop and dropp them.
'Cause no pity benefits.
Fight those doubts to stop and dropp them.
'Cause no pity benefits.
And...
Believe this or not,
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
'Cause,
Believe this or not...
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.
Give those petty bits of pity,
To solicit empathy...
Away.
Today.
And...
Throw those doubts you've picked to pity,
With that selfishness that doesn't pay...
To get attention to gain.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
'Cause,
Believe this or not...
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
And...
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it quick!
Get up off your pity pot to stop this quick.
'Cause believe this or not...
Your pity does not benefit.
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
And...
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it quick!
'Cause believe this or not...
Your pity does not benefit,
One bit.

Thurday's Child
All of my life I've tried so hard
Doing my best with what I had
Nothing much happened all the same
Something about me stood apart
A whisper of hope that seemed to fail
Maybe I'm born right out of my time
Breaking my life in two
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Now that I really got a chance
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh )
Everything's falling into place
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Seeing my past to let it go
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Only for you I don't regret
And I was Thursday's child
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)
Sometimes I cry my heart to sleep
Shuffling days and lonesome nights
Sometimes my courage fell to my feet
Lucky old son is in my sky
Nothing prepared me for your smile
Lighting the darkness of my soul
Innocence in your arms
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Now that I really got a chance
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh )
Oh ho, everything's falling into place
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Seeing my past to let it go
(Throw me tomorrow, oh oh)
Only for you I don't regret
And I was Thursday's child
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)
Thursday's child
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)
Thursday's child
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)
(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, born I was)

The City of Sleep
Over the edge of the purple down,
Where the single lamplight gleams,
Know ye the road to the Merciful Town
That is hard by the Sea of Dreams--
Where the poor may lay their wrongs away,
And the sick may forget to weep?
But we--pity us! Oh, pity us!
We wakeful; ah, pity us! --
We must go back with Policeman Day--
Back from the City of Sleep!
Weary they turn from the scroll and crown,
Fetter and prayer and plough--
They that go up to the Merciful Town,
For her gates are closing now.
It is their right in the Baths of Night
Body and soul to steep,
But we--pity us! ah, pity us!
We wakeful; oh, pity us!--
We must go back with Policeman Day--
Back from the City of Sleep!
Over the edge of the purple down,
Ere the tender dreams begin,
Look--we may look--at the Merciful Town,
But we may not enter in!
Outcasts all, from her guarded wall
Back to our watch we creep:
We--pity us! ah, pity us!
We wakeful; oh, pity us!--
We that go back with Policeman Day--
Back from the City of Sleep!

Pity, pity, pity
Look at to the unwanted child
Look at to the divorced wife
Look at to the homeless man
What people do other than saying
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the tragic hero
Look at to the sympathized villain
Look at to the clueless victim
What witnesses do other than staring
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the crazy dreamer
Look at to the unlucky gambler
Look at to the stubborn fighter
What friends do other than whispering
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the withering flower
Look at to the starving animal
Look at to the extinct nature
What human do other than howling
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the empty spaces
Look at to the blank faces
Look at to the lost traces
What devils do other than laughing
“Pity, pity, pity”

I Pity You
I pity you when you walk down the street
I pity you when you open your mouth to speak
You will tell your story, with its pity and glory
As sympathy is all that you do seek.
I pity you and your parents dear
I pity you when from you they don’t want to hear
As you put them to blame, for your sadness and pain
That’s why for you no-one will shed a tear.
I pity you when you laugh and smile
I pity you as your life is full of guile
But you are the source, for your sadness and remorse
And you wont change even when walking your last mile.
I pity you as you once had something
I pity you as now you have nothing
You threw everything away, so you could stray
Now your retribution will be coming.
I pity you as with time you will age
I pity you with your hate and your rage
You will always fight, whether you are wrong or right
You are the animal and your soul is your cage
I pity you and I do it without a clue
I pity you whenever I see or hear of you
There is no sympathy, as your not my friend or enemy
And all I can say is, that I truly pity you.

This Is Such A Pity
How is your heart little darling?
I didn't mean to get so mad.
Let me just hold you closely.
How did things get so bad?
I know how to pick on you.
You pushed me over the edge.
We caused so much agony.
We can't seem to move ahead.
This is such a pity.
We should give all our love to each other.
Not this hate that destroys us.
This is such a pity.
(This is a pity)
What kind of future will we have?
Will we we ever find peace?
Everybody thinks we're crazy.
They're about to call the police.
I don't wanna be a chump.
You think I'm a fascist pig.
Right now everything is black.
I don't think we'll get it.
This is such a pity.
We should give all our love to each other.
Not this hate that destroys us.
This is such a pity.
(This is a pity)
[solo]
This is such a pity.
We should give all our love to each other.
Not this hate that destroys us.
This is such a pity.

That Pity B-Gone!
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
We knew that pity had to split!
B-gone.
We knew that our hearts would split, and soon...
B-gone.
If we let that pity sit,
Between us....
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit,
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit...
Between us!
And...
You'd believe,
That I could never love you.
To leave me feeling sorry,
And blue.
But...
I would know,
How deep inside my love goes.
And protecting what I love,
Before it overflows.
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
So...
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And maybe not so much the benefits.
Since I would miss too much your many moods.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone!

Battlestations
You ask too much of me
You try my patience
Your tongue - it's like a razor
You choose your words like weapons
Here we go - Battlestations
I never have the guts to let you look inside
I don't think you'd appreciate the things that I hide
[CHORUS:]
Monday was the worst day
And Friday wasn't my day
But Wednesday was the best day
Because on Wednesday night we made love
All I'm trying to give you is a good time honey
Why d'ya have to keep on playing games with my head
Used to be your baby when you had no money
Now we spend more time in battle
Than we ever do in bed
(Than we ever do in bed)
You don't know how much I hate that answer phone
Are you standing there?
But - you won't pick up the 'phone
Why lie to my face?
(When you can buy a tape machine to give me bullshit in your place)
Today I did something I thought I'd never do
I opened up your diary and read about you
[CHORUS]
Monday was the worst day
Wednesday we made love
And Friday - ooh but -
Saturday

Putting Pity Properly Propped
How pitiful can a declared pity get?
Some can do pity proud...
By having pity dipped and bronzed.
And accessorized with torment.
With a highlighting of pity in rhinestone...
To give focus with meaning and intention meant.
Capturing a pity purposely posing in a moldedness...
And an importance that could be set on mantels.
Thusly and/or thence...
Putting pity properly propped,
On top and placed upon such a pedestal.
Where pitifulness praised like this can sit!

Get Up Off That Pity Pot
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
No need to keep weeping tears,
That long ago overflowed.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Holding onto woes,
Have eroded your motives.
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
So wipe your eyes to dry,
And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!
Off your butt!
And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot,
And stop those woes to drop.

With A Pity That You Want
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
To realize...
A pain you keep.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And your wants are weak.
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
Oh...
But you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want,
To show you're one of those...
With a pity that you want,
To show exposed.
With a pity that you want,
To be one of those!

Wednesday Week
The movies save on conversation
And the tv saves on sight
We met in a head-on collision
So I would say our chances would be slight
You can lead and I will follow
See us dancing cheek to cheek
Youll remember me tomorrow
But you wont give a damn by wednesday week
Say you love me until you do so
Joso singing just like caruso
Three little words roll off your tongue
Somehow your face just doesnt look so young
You say you want to strike a bargain
Now there is no need to speak
You say you want to learn the jargon
But you wont give a damn by wednesday week
You start acting like a zombie
Someone wants your piece of cake
You think you want to jump up on me
But you wont give a damn by wednesday week
Oh what a letdown when the battle was finally won
One little breakdown and then it was over and done
I wish I had your confidence
Its love and not coincidence
Do you say these words to everyone ?
Youre fantastic, youre terrific
Your excellence is almost scientific
You took the words out of my mouth
You put the tongue into my cheek
But Id better lose my memory by wednesday week

Friday I'm In Love
I don't care if monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and wednesday too
Thursday i don't care about you
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's friday i'm in love
Saturday wait
And sunday always comes too late
But friday never hesitate...
I don't care if monday's black
Tuesday wednesday heart attack
Thursday never looking back
It's friday i'm in love
Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday wednesday stay in bed
Or thursday watch the walls instead
It's friday i'm in love
Saturday wait
And sunday always comes too late
But friday never hesitate...
Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's friday
I'm in love

So...How went Your Wednesday?
So how was your Wednesday 10/13/10?
Did you get out of bed safely
Drink your coffee
and then
Read the paper, look at want ads
Feel sorry for yourself
Maybe want to go back
to bed again
bills piling up In a heap upon the table
Wondering which
to pay today
Or if you’ll even be able
Well…believe it or not
Your life’s pretty damn good
There’s five young soldiers
Who’d trade places if they could
Let me introduce them:
Ray…Justin…Phil…Joe…and Vic
All Killed in action in %#$@*&ghanistan Wednesday 10/13/10
Marine Lance Cpl. Raymond L. A. Johnston 22 yrs young Midland Ga.
Cpl. Justin J. Cain 19 yrs young Manitowoc Wis.
Lance Cpl. Phillip Vinnedge 19 yrs young Saint Charles Mo.
Lance Cpl. Joseph E Rodewald 21 yrs young Albany Ore.
Pfc. Victor A. Dew 20 yrs young Granite Bay Calif.
I think their day was far worse than yours
For Wednesday was their day to die
And I wish that someone could give me
One good reason…For What…and why? ? ?

Pity Those
TEETH ACHING WITH FEAR
STANDING IN FRONT OF ME
WASTING HUMAN FLESH
PITY THOSE WHO HAVE NO MERCY
NO KINDNESS
PITY THOSE
WHO MARCH US
TOWARD THE FIRE
THE SMOKE OF THEIR TORMENT
WILL GO UP FOREVER
PITY THOSE.

Wednesday Morning Silence
At eleven O’clock in the morning,
I sit experiencing the stillness
of a Wednesday morning silence coming down.
It seems much earlier,
though the day is half done
after a fun filled Tuesday
that lasted long into the night.
I sit experiencing the stillness
and wondering in the silence
after the rain had come down.
The absent drip of raindrops
sounds like time ticking away
in the Wednesday morning silence coming down.
Sitting on my friends deck
as a cooling breeze rustles the leaves
in the silence of the morning
as I wait for everyone to wake
in a Wednesday Morning silence coming down
while I am on holiday.
