A Request That You Simply Mind Your Own Business...
there is this tail end
of the wind that tells you
that the journey
was never smooth and easy
there are eddies of the mind
that must finally tell you that
oh well,
not every thing has been alright
that there are no clearer ponds except those that you have not really gone to
oh yes, far pastures are always greener than we think
or that, you never really understand what one had gone through
all those fast flying years
these goddamn quick years that leave us with nothing
but suppressed memories
which still carry the needles in their hands and prick us on those
empty nights
at the height of this upheaval
you still have no right to grasp
what details are there
go somewhere else
and read between the armpits of these lines
there is this Notice on the Wall which tells you
with accuracy (and even warn you about respect)
(i.e. to simply mind your own business, ok?)

Mr. Green
Green leaves tell you
How green your mind is,
Wide boroughs tell you
How broad your mind is,
Velvet grasses tell you
How soft your hair is,
Clean water ponds tell you
How your tears are,
White clouds tell you
How your floating thoughts are,
Birds in group tell you
How you enjoy friend’s company,
Peacock tells you
How you dance in rain,
Lion tells you
How to react with pride,
Deer tells you
How you enjoy your freedom,
And environment tells you
How you can become Mr. Green.

Last Ditch
over there is the last ditch
there are barbed wire fences
over there are the greener
pastures
you may jump as you wish
you may leave me if you
finally decide that
things end
like normal stories
that there are endings
to our expectations
you may pack and take the best
and leave the worse for me
but for one thing
sign this pact
that when you have finally done
and fulfilled your wishes
you must not come back
and beg
for my acceptance
the second time around
i warn you
is lovelier
but do not expect that
after i have cried
a river
that i will be the same again
nope.

Under A Stone
J. spinks
Highnoon drivers got a kick tail beater
And he rides just as fast as he knows
Long shot dealer sold a real fire eater
Burning money just as fast as she goes
Kid dont care cos he cant get enough
Easy come - easy go
Tells his mama that he aint living under a stone
An hes ready oh - oh
Late night pleaser spends her daytime teaching
In the small town missionary hall
Back seat teaser never takes any money
But her friends make it nailed to the wall
She dont care cos she cant get enough
One way ticket to the ball
Tells here mama that she aint living under a stone
One night in the middle of main street
Riding in a big flash car
Sets his eyes on the good time seeker
She jumps inside but they go too far
Years go by and theyve both grown older
Kinda sorry for the things that they did
Lookin back they could have both been something
But their caution ran away with the wind
Life aint never been an easy touch
They got a house that they cant afford
And teenage kids saying they cant live under a stone

Mind Your Own Business
Mind Your Own Business
(Words and music by Hank Williams, Sr.)
If the wife and I was fussin', brother that's our right
Me and that ole woman bought a license to fight
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If youmind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
Well, the woman on the party line's a nosey thing
She picks up her receiver when she knows it's my ring
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Well, I got a little girl that wears her hair up high
The boys all hollar when she walks by
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Just mind your own business, you wont be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
I may tell a lot of stories that may not be true
But I can get to Heaven just as easy as you
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, will you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Mind your business, and you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Now, If I want to honky tonk 'til around two or three
Darlin' that's my headache, don't you worry 'bout me.
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Go on and mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you're mindin' your business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental---
Mindin' other people's business seems to be high-toned
Well, I got all that I can do just to mind my own
Mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your businessmyou won't be mindin' mine.
Dear Lord, If you mind your business, you'll be busy all the time...

Accuracy
We sit in the same room
Side by side
I give you the wrong lines
Feed you
Accuracy
Accuracy
Look into my eyes
We both smile
I could kill you
Without trying
That's accuracy
Accuracy
Accuracy
...
Accuracy
Accuracy
Practice all day for accuracy

If you really wish to know the poets
If you wish
to understand poets
If you wish
to know what’s in their minds
Then you must read
their poetry
But you must also read
between the lines
For The most revealing lines
a poet writes about himself
Are the ones…
not written upon the wall
Unwritten yes…but hints abound in…
can be found in
Choice of subject…And choice of title
About the poet…tells us all

Greener Pastures
Youre always tellin me to go out more
Go ahead, get out and see the world
But then I think, why should i
Id rather stay home and cry
I never thought that I could be the other
The other way like the other ones
Let me open wide, let you see inside
And then you might agree
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way to greener pastures and
Think about it, wont you think it over
Please
Without you I can move
I can stretch my arms out, I can feel it
And when Im in my room alone I feel good
Because I dont have to deal with you or the outside world
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way to greener pastures and
Think about it, wont you think it over
Please
I guess Ill get over it
Ooh - I guess Ill get over it
I guess Ill get over it
I guess Ill get over it
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Would you say they find me unstable
cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Would you say they find me unstable
Cause they see me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures
Greener pastures
See me act a little bit different
But I know my way through greener pastures

From Where I Come From
slopes of the
mountains
and a small patch
of a plain
on the side
of the river
where the grasses
thicken
like armpits
there is
a hut there
and some
trees around
years
and years
we stayed there
like there is no other
home for us
but then
time comes and
leaving becomes
a must for
each of us
we left and
we followed the
direction of the
wind towards
the sea of our
freedom
and here i
am
writing about
what my
ancestors
thought
leave and take
a journey
and find the
real path
the meaning
that we attach
to ourselves
to the direction
of the wind
towards the sea
and then
do not ever
think of the patch
of plain again
or the grasses
it is the wind
that leads us
the wind
the wind and nothing but
the sound of
the wind
freedom.

An Elocution....
we read
between the lines
we pause
we take in a lot of the other
we read them and they become a part of
our innards
we pause and we take sleep
a journey
into an imbibing
the roads are too many
but we choose only one
not necessarily the happy one
we take what
is only necessary
we take the stairs one by one
we count each
sorrow we leave each happy moment
like a landmark
we always surge
like a bus into the other end of the road
that never ends
we read between the lines
we become what is
between them
we do not understand how we become
we just become
buds, flowers, bees and
pools of
clear water
we are flowing and drained
we exude and then
we go
until we are finally gone
and we have forgotten
to ask who we are
and so
what right have we to
deserve the
answers
we go, and then we are finally gone
we are never
anyone.

Severed Tail of a Home Lizard
Wriggling tail really tells
That soul and body ride together,
But whose divorce
Death always seeks.
Wriggling tail really tells
That pain is a pin,
Which pricks on
On all the severances.
Wriggling tail really tells
That visible and invisible
Are synchronized
On all beings in universe.

Nature tells me
Nature tells me not to be proud
of my riches for I am not
much richer than her.
Nature tells me not to be proud
of my beauty for I am not
much beautiful than her.
Nature tells me not to be proud
of my kindness for I am not
much kinder than her.
Nature tells me not to be proud
of my generosity for I am not

Nature tells me not to be proud
of my logicality for I am not

Nature tells me not to be proud
of my judiciousness for I am not

Baby Please Dont Go
I tried to warn you baby
I tried to tell you I was down
Oh yeah yeah
You would not listen baby
You would not hel pme when I was down
Oh no no
He tells her doesnt anybody understand I love her?
That girl she holds my heart in her hands
Oh baby, oh baby baby baby baby
Baby please dont go
Baby please dont go
Baby please dont go
Oh no no no no no
Baby please dont go
I tried to warn you baby
I tried to tell you dont let me down
Oh no no
You would not listen baby
Baby you would not leave me go down
Oh no no
He tells her there is foolish there is wise
The young ones hold their heart up to the skies
And dance the night away
There is foolish, there is wise
There is anger in his tone
There is truth behind the lies
His heart has turned to stone
Wherever you may be, he loves her
Wherever you may stand
He loves her in this land
Baby please dont go
Dont hurt me so
Dont leave me now
Baby please dont go

Sonnet: My Inner Voice
When mind tells me, ’I am punished enough,
And it were better I followed the world, ’
My inner voice cries, ‘Patience, tho’ ’tis tough’.
This extra-suffering makes my heart cold.
When mind tells me, ‘I must avenge my foes,
Who made me suffer without a reason, ’
My inner voice cries, ‘Patience, forget woes.’
God will teach them in His own way lesson.
When mind tells me, ‘Tis time, be worldly-wise, ’
My woes are mainly due to poverty;
My inner voice cries, ‘Patience, Be soul-wise! ’
That’s the way you earn your Eternity!
When mind tells me, ‘Your mind and body’s weak! ’
My inner voice cries, ‘Patience, God will speak! ’

Between The Lines
Verse 1:
Ive been searching
Ive been thinking
Ive been searching so long
What I am looking for
Ive been hearing love will hit you
But everybodys wrong
Cause I just happen to notice
That certain look in your eye
Chorus:
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need no neon signs
To notice baby
I never before had you on my mind
But now I really do
Verse 2:
Nothing major ever happened
But its the greatest feeling Ive ever had
Strong emotions all have left me
Just a tenderness inside my heart
Just happened to notice a knowing smile
Chorus
(now I really do)
Just happened, I noticed
That certain look in your eyes
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need no neon signs
To notice baby
I never before had you on my mind
Im reading between the lines
I didnt need, didnt need no neon
To notice baby
I never before, never before
I knew it, I knew it
Bridge:
Started dreamin about you baby
Now I know just what Im feeling
Can it be you are my baby?
Never gonna let you go
Oh it took so long to feel it
(so very long to feel it)
But it was worth the waiting baby
Never gonna-never gonna let you go
(read between, read between the lines)
Didnt need no neon signs
Oh it took so long to feel it
(so very long to feel it)
But it was worth the waiting baby
(read between, read between the lines)
Didnt need, didnt need, didnt need no neon
(notice baby)
(read between, read between the lines)
I didnt need no neon signs
I knew it, I knew it
(read between, read between the lines)
Between the lines
(read between, read between the lines)
Im reading between the lines....

A Paper Rose
Each time pen and line
brush the page
it is with you in mind;
all these years
you've been
reader to my writer-
you and I
giving life
to what starts as
mere blank pages-
and end as
our shared experience.
I can feel you;
hear you breathing
and lay
down each
night
renewed
for you have
read
between my lines
written and
I
received
your resonances
come back
to my ear-
these reciprocities
tracking
the journey
we each
together
have taken-
our lines entwining.
No greater bond
than the bond
of reader and that written;
no love more timeless
than that shared
in the missive
shaped
by two
interchanging
in this journey
through
life's space.
No gratitude greater
than mine.
Capture here then
to be clear
the
paper rose
this writing
is
because
its lines form
a rose
which will
last
down the years
forever read
forever written.

Four Poetic Points For The Neighborhood To Ponder
i
it is that particular moment
when your tongue tastes the skin of the wind
and it shall tell you too about its long
and unfinished journey
it is this intimacy with the hands of the wind
the talk that both of you do more often under the moon
ii
it is when you sit on the floor
your back rests on the wall
it is this intimacy of self-talking upon itself
when the wall begins to respond
when the floor finally makes its comments
iii
the neighborhood begins to doubt you
but you have no doubt about yourself or the floor's sincerity
or the door's indulgence
or the intimacy with the wind and the wall
which offers you a buffer between emptiness and
chaos
eventually everything has come
smooth and natural
well folded like the waves
well covered like the mist on the tree tops
iv
what you have to serve to all these inquisitors
is an empty glass upon an imaginary tray
which they still have to figure out
why you are serving them the perfect drops of silence
for all their thirsts.

Demon voice
he tells me to fight not to walk away
he tells me to scream not to talk rational
he tells me to hate not to forgive
he tells me destroy not to create
he tells me to give in
he tells me to kill
he knows i'm getting weaker
he knows it's almost his time
he knows he will be free
he knows he will have fun
he knows it will be a bloody ride to the end
he knows the end is death and so do i

Safer Hands
Little hand held high, I reached for you, innocent and small
Never felt so safe, no wider smile, I had it all
No worries at all, little girl just three, she couldnt see
What there would be, clearer than you think, my memory
He treasured me, protected me
Wherever you have gone to, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands
Although youve gone for good now, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands
The day you left, no warning came, I was sleeping
Maybe it was your undying love, you didnt wake me, didnt take me
Now the years have flown and I have grown, there is a yearning
Give me just one day, to while away, to that Im drinking: wishful thinking
Wherever you have gone to, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands
Although youve gone for good now, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands
Even though its years, so long ago, there is a presence here
If there was some doubt, its all over now
Of that Im certain, theres no question
Wherever you have gone to, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands
Although youve gone for good now, my mind is settled, youre in safer hands

Through The Years
Through the years, there will be laughter and smiles
Pain and sorrow too
But i will be going through it with you
Through the years, there will be road trips and vacations
Excitement and adventure
But the only thing making them enjoyable is because i'll be with you
Through the years there will be love and romance
Dinners and movies
But the only thing keeping the flame lit is our undying passion
Through the years there will be weddings and receptions
Futures and joyous memories too
But I won't forget the time when we said 'I DO'
Through the years there will be new life and happiness
Late nights and early mornings
But as long as we're by each others side, we'll be fine
Through the years there will be scraps and bruises
Band-aids and kisses
But we'll be there to help them up when they fall
Through the years there will be teenage rebellion and loud music
Fights and rough nights
But we said that no matter what happens we'll never leave each other
Through the years there will be sickness and disease
Doctors and medication
But we'll make it
Through the years there will be heartache and tears
Death and grievances
But I will hold your hand and help you through all of lifes fears
Through the years we'll grow gray and old
Our children will have children of their own
But know this, beyond the grave I will always love you
