A New Flair
and so the peacock having
survived from a
broken wing
(sigh! it could have
been a broken heart)
now rises up
from the bushes
struts head high on the
park
under the trees
and fans herself with her
multicolored tail
i could not help
(identifying
myself with her)
and i said directly from
spontaneous
instinct,
' I like this
beautiful bird'
how i wish somehow that like
an eagle
it can also learn the art of flying
and trick the
air
with its new
flair.

Of A Broken Heart
If only I die
Just once in my life
If only to try
To take a guess, to be the best
A feeling I hide
That runs this world, that keeps us alive
I want you to climb with me
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die
The heart of a child
Is in your hands now
So lets see you smile
cause Im not impressed with your loneliness
And its been a while
Since you forgave all your changes made
So lets count the miles together
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die
If only I die
Just once in my life
If only to try together
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die of a broken heart
A broken heart
Until I die

American Bald Eagle
American bald eagle
The American eagle took to flight
Soared into the valley, with its wings of might.
An endangered species it became in 1973
To protect the heritage of you and me.
On our currency and in our hearts
Of the united states it has become a big part.
With a wing span of 79 to 90
And a body length of 35 to 37
And a neck and tail as white as snow
This is something that many don’t know.
The beauty of this bird so rare
Is something that we’re proud to share.
They have been here even before
The birth of the united states
And this is what makes them great
For they survived from the
Destruction of man
And taught us how to take a stand.
So to the American eagle we honor you
In everything that we say and do.
Keep us standing tall and proud
For throughout this world
You do get around.

Broken Wing
She loved like he was the last man on earth. gave him everything she ever had.
Hed break her spirit down, then come lovin up on her. give a little, then
Take it back. shed tell him about her dreams - hed just shoot em down. lord,
He loved to make her cry. youre crazy for believin youll ever leave the
Ground. he said only angels know how to fly.
And with a broken wing, she still sings. she keeps an eye on the sky. with a

One sunday mornin, she didnt go to church. he wondered why she didnt leave.
He went up to her bedroom, found a note by the window, with the curtains

Alone
Wind blew, light drew them all.
New songs revive their mornings.
Only I, small bird, am forsaken
under the Shekhina’s wing.
Alone. I remain alone.
The Shekhina’s broken wing
trembled over my head. My heart knew hers:
her fear for her only son.
Driven from every ridge –
one desolate corner left –
in the House of Study she hides in shadow,
and I alone share her pain.
Imprisoned beneath her wing
my heart longed for the light.
She buried her face on my shoulder
and a tear fell on my page.
Dumbly she clung and wept.
Her broken wing sheltered me:
“scattered to the four winds of heaven;
they are gone, and I am alone”.
It was an ancient lament
a suppliant cry I heard
in that lost and silent weeping,
and in that scalding tear.

The Proud Peacock
I am the Peacock,
the beautiful bride
of the bird kingdom.
I am in no doubt
fairer than the cock
for I dwarf its pride
with feathers that stand-out.
I am the Peacock
who desires serfdom
from the bird kingdom,
for I long to usurp
the title of king
from the strong Eagle
who soars atop
with its air-borne wings.
Though fit as fiddle
with an awesome strength,
gliding the sky’s length
at a blistering pace,
yet dreaded for a face
that is void of grace.
I am the Peacock,
the elegantly clad.
Humans would be mad
to contend with me,
for shame you would see
if unclad they be.

Edge Of A Broken Heart
And there I stood, just like a soldier
I was tough, until I saw her
I said hello, but she just turned away
Hey romeo, whatcha doin with my girl,
Who are you using now, well I turn and walk away (turn and walk away)
Im gonna please her, now you can believe it
Ill be there to catch her when she falls
Oooo, here I am (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im a man (on the edge of a broken heart)
Here we stand (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can cause you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the outside, looking inside
Youre with him, whos on the wrong side now
Do you still think of me
Ive tried to call, but no one answers
Two silhouettes, a private dancer
Lights go dim, as the music starts to fade, away (turn and walk away)
Im the one who needs you, now you can believe it
Ill be there to catch you when you fall
Ooo you better believe Im the man (on the edge of a broken heart)
Here I am (on the edge of a broken heart)
And we stand (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can cause you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Solo
Ooohh
And when I hold out my hands Ill be reaching for you
I give it all that Ive got, thats all I can do
When youre waiting for love
Ill be waiting for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
Only for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
Oh baby for you (on the edge of a broken heart)
So run if you can, you know
Im a man on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (on the edge of a broken heart)
Im on the edge (of a broken, broken, broken broken, broken, broken, broken)

Broken Wing
Today I watched a robin
In our front yard
I thought by now that they schold all be gone.
With winter round the corner
Snow on its way
Surely something must be wrong.
Then in that old oak tree I finally saw her
Where she sat gazing down upon her mate
And the song that she was singing
Seemed to say Ill be right here
Id like to go, but your loves made me stay.
Hes got a broken wing
And thats why he cant fly
She just cant leave him there
So she stays by his side
Theyre just like you and me
Oh you shouldve heard her sing
They wont give up
Its just a broken wing.
I wish we all could learn
What they seem to have found
To love our families
When trouble comes around
Ill bet that God saw fit
To show them unto me
Him on the ground
Her in that tree.
Hes got a broken wing
And thats why he cant fly
She just cant leave him there
So she stays by his side
Theyre just like you and me
Oh you shouldve heard her sing
They wont give up
We wont give up
They wont give up
Its just a broken wing.
Ooooooooh...
Its just a broken wing.

The Name Of The Game/eagle
Ive seen you twice, in a short time
Only a week since we started
It seems to me, for every time
Im getting more open-hearted
I was an impossible case
No-one ever could reach me
But I think I can see in your face
Theres a lot you can teach me
So I wanna know..
Whats the name of the game?
Does it mean anything to you?
Whats the name of the game?
Can you feel it the way I do?
Tell me please, cause I have to know
Im a bashful child, beginning to grow
And you make me talk
And you make me feel
And you make me show
What Im trying to conceal
If I trust in you, would you let me down?
Would you laugh at me, if I said I care for you?
Could you feel the same way too?
I wanna know..
The name of the game
I have no friends, no-one to see
And I am never invited
Now I am here, talking to you
No wonder I get excited
Your smile, and the sound of your voice
And the way you see through me
Got a feeling, you give me no choice
But it means a lot to me
So I wanna know..
Whats the name of the game? (your smile and the sound of your voice)
Does it mean anything to you? (got a feeling you give me no choice)
(but it means a lot)
Whats the name of the game? (your smile and the sound of your voice)
Can you feel it the way I do?
Tell me please, cause I have to know
Im a bashful child, beginning to grow
And you make me talk
And you make me feel
And you make me show
What Im trying to conceal
If I trust in you, would you let me down?
Would you laugh at me, if I said I care for you?
Could you feel the same way too?
I wanna know..
Oh yes I wanna know..
The name of the game (I was an impossible case)
Does it mean anything to you? (but I think I can see in your face)
(that it means a lot)
Whats the name of the game? (your smile and the sound of your voice)
Can you feel it the way I do? (got a feeling you give me no choice)

They came flying from far away, now Im under their spell
I love hearing the stories that they tell
Theyve seen places beyond my land and theyve found new horizons
They speak strangely but I understand
And I dream Im an eagle
And I dream I can spread my wings
Flying high, high, Im a bird in the sky
Im an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, high, what a feeling to fly
Over mountains and forests and seas
And to go anywhere that I please
As all good friends we talk all night, and we fly wing to wing
I have questions and they know everything
Theres no limit to what I feel, we climb higher and higher
Am I dreaming or is it all real?
Is it true Im an eagle?
Is it true I can spread my wings?
Flying high, high, Im a bird in the sky
(Im an eagle)
Im an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, high, what a feeling to fly
(what a feeling)
Over mountains and forests and seas
And to go anywhere that I please
And I dream Im an eagle
And I dream I can spread my wings
Flying high, high, Im a bird in the sky
(Im an eagle)
Im an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, high, what a feeling to fly
(what a feeling)
Over mountains and forests and seas
Flying high, high, Im a bird in the sky
(Im an eagle)
Im an eagle that rides on the breeze
High, high, what a feeling to fly
(what a feeling)
Over mountains and forests and seas
And to go anywhere that I please

Broken Down Angel
She used to be someone you could depend on
To brighten up your coldest winter day
But the one she leaned upon
Let her down, noow has moved on
And morning brings another empty day
Now shes only a broken down angel
Shes only a bird thats broke her wing
Shes only someone, somone whos gone wrong
Shes only a child thats lost her way
She used to be a girl of simple pleasures
A breath of spring to chase your blues away
But now she bears a cross, for a love that she has lost
No sunshine in her life just clouds of gray
Now shes only a broken down angel
Shes only a bird thats broke her wing
Shes only someone, somone whos gone wrong
Shes only a child thats lost her way
Shes only a broken down angel
Shes only a bird thats broke her wing
Shes only someone, somone whos gone wrong
Shes only a child thats lost her way
Now shes only a broken down angel
Shes only a bird thats broke her wing
Shes only someone, somone whos gone wrong
Shes only a child thats lost her way

Crippled Bird
A broken heart like a broken wing
It must have its time to mend
I am like a crippled bird
In hopes one day to fly again
I loved you so and I was faithful
I cared more than words could say
But love is cruel and life is hateful
Now youve gone and flown away
Chorus:
Oh, to die, twould be a pleasure
Slow to heal, but quick to cry
Fragile as a sparrows feather
Crippled bird too blue to fly
Oh, the loss is cold and shameful
And the grief so deep and sharp
There is nothing quite as painful
As a true blue broken heart
Repeat chorus
Fragile as a sparrows feather
Crippled bird too blue to fly

An Angel With A Broken Wing
You flew too high for any mortal,
when love first struck you,
but then one-day love didn’t sing,
and you ended up, an angel with a broken wing.
Your tears flow with every hour;
your cries are filled with pain.
You played at the game of love and lost;
now you’re an angel with a broken wing.
Like almost everything in loves game,
you will find that with time,
life can be wonderful again,
and mend an angel with a broken wing.

A Broken Heart
a broken heart
you search
for metaphor
to begin with
collins?
yes, you got
it
a broken
wing
it cannot fly
but i prefer
a wing
clipped
like paper
or a wind
without wings
or a wing
without
the wind
or wingless winds
or windless
wings
the point
is
one can always be right
for as long
as one feels
for as long
as one
still writes
for as long as one still attempts to write what one feels
and feels what he writes for as long as longing still longs
a broken wing
can always be a broken heart
a metaphor to always begin with

Fly Me To The Sun
Like the bird flying high in the sunrise
I just want to fly to you
I just want to fly to your soul
Into the sunset, high in the sunrise,
Through the links in the chain I see it's to be
It all seems to fit, it just fits, thats it
Like a sunset within a sunrise, a night outside a day
As we spin in our souls and look at the sky... It's our sky
And I fly through the sunrise that takes me to you
We can glide, we can fly, we can be... we must be
We fly though the sunset that is always you.
Like the bird flying high in the sunrise
I just want to fly to your soul
Like the bird flying high in the sunset
I know the sun rises and sets within you.

Everything Is Broken
Broken lines, broken strings, broken threads, broken springs
Broken idols, broken heads, people sleeping in broken beds
Aint no use jivin, aint no use jokin
Everything is broken
Broken bottles, broken plates, broken switches, broken gates
Broken dishes, broken parts, streets are filled with broken hearts
Broken words never meant to be spoken
Everything is broken
Seems like every time you stop and turn around
Someone else has just hit the ground
Broken cutters, broken saws, broken buckles, broken laws
Broken bodies, broken bones, broken voices on broken phones
Take a deep breath, feel like youre chokin
Everything is broken
Every time you leave and go off some place
Things fall to pieces in my face
Broken hands on broken plows, broken treaties, broken vows
Broken pipes, broken tools, people bending broken rules
Hound dog howlin, bullfrog croakin
Everything is broken

Time Mends A Broken Heart
(jeff lynn/ kiki dee)
Producer for bonnie: christopher neil
Im living in another time another place
I knew you then
It used to be a different world
And now I start to live again
A sight of heaven in a grain of sand
Leading me on taking me by the hand
Time mends a broken heart
Time mends a broken heart
Love tears it all apart
But time mends a broken heart
I see you in another life
Theres someone else that I didnt know
Theres someone else that I dont know
It used to hurt me deep inside
I had to learn to let you go
I thought that happiness was by your side
I didnt know that it was here in me
And still alive
Time mends a broken heart
Time mends a broken heart
Love tears it all apart
But time mends a broken heart
Time mends a broken heart
Time mends a broken heart
Love tears it all apart
But time mends a broken heart

Eagle When She Flies
Shes been there, God knows, shes been there
She has seen and done it all
Shes a woman, she know how to
Dish it out or take it all
Her hearts as soft as feathers
Still she weathers stormy skies
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies
A kaleidoscope of colors
You can toss her around and round
You can keep her in you vision
But youll never keep her down
Shes a lover, shes a mother
Shes a friend and shes a wife
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies
Gentle as the sweet magnolia
Strong as steel, her faith and pride
Shes an everlasting shoulder
Shes the leaning post of life
She hurts deep and when she weeps
Shes just as fragile as a child
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies

Everything is broken nothing is right
Everything around me is broken.
Nothing remains a whole.
For anger overtakes my life.
Leaving me in hell of a rage.
I have a broken heart.
I have a broken body.
My head a mess.
My heart shatted in a millon peices.
Broken trust broken life.
Broken bottel broken glass.
Nice sharp razor blade.
Blood pouring down.
Blood running in a stream.
Flowing peacfully away.
Now the badness is free.
If only for a while.
Repeat the cycle.
Dont face to my emotions.
Just cut it all away.

Multicolord Lady
Got on a bus in memphis,
Destination rome.
Georgia aint no paradise
But a place I just call home.
I sat next to a broken hearted bride
She was cryin, tryin so hard to hide
Her selfish sorrow.
I tried to get her talkin
She didnt have much to say
She asked me for a map to death row
But I didnt know the way
She had lost a million in the game
One look out the window at the pine trees and the rain
It wasnt her day.
Multicolored lady
You aint like no rainbow Ive ever seen
Multicolored lady
Angry red, passion blue, but mostly shades of green
Midnight came and brought more rain,
Nothing seemed to ease her pain.
The hours that we talked seemed like minutes all in vein.
I watched as her tears kept runnin wide
Bye and bye and bye, way back after a while
She started smilin.
Multicolored lady
You aint like no rainbow Ive ever known.
Multicolored lady
Come go with me, Ill take you to my home
Oh, by the way, Im bound for rome.
