A Fire Escape
imagine
one night
when you are
alone
inside a room
with windows
secured with
iron grills
the fire starts
from that only
door and there is
no other exit
imagine that
electricity is cut
the smoke
enters your room
crawling on the
floor
you panic
and you do not remember
where escape is
where to find again
the entrance to the
next life
blame yourself
how you hated the thief

for John on his first frustration
let me draw you a house
with an entrance gate
leading to an entrance
door and some windows
to let in air.
just that, there will be no
exit doors, no exit gate,
all the windows open,
not designed to close,
that precisely is success
and failure.
there is a sense of
entrance triumphant
ditto an exit for some
ordinary and even
inevitable failures of
our lives.
the windows are some
of our other options, we
let in air to breathe
for a while. we must.

On Dating A Woman Not Your Wife
oh i know how it feels
i wear black
a coat to blend to the night
when i date
a woman not my wife
i imagine a room
a bottle of champagne
a glass
i imagine i undress myself
have my shower
with her
together
we clean ourselves with soap
and water
at the hotel
and then we wipe ourselves
with a clean white
towel
and we spray perfume
to our warm bodies
we imagine
we sleep tonight
and do
the things we have long imagined
we imagine
we wake up the following morning
some light
filtering in
the venetian blinds
some lights
stab our eyes
and we feel the hurt after
the pleasures
that even outside the room
of the hotel that night
we still imagine
sometimes we imagine we have no guilt at all
but it is always there
we still imagine
and we imagine we can sleep soundly
on eyes closed
we travel somewhere else thinking about the first paradise

Finally You Always Find Yourself Alone
it is a fact of your life
you marry
and have children
and grandchildren
and years pass by
leaving you
with wrinkles and
arthritis
bones that crack
and a brain that
does not remember
recent things
anymore
finally you find yourself alone
in your room
for they too shall find life
of their own
even your wife
has to struggle with her thoughts
and then you begin
to find
the company of God
as something
missing
long been missing
your hands are empty
your heart so hollow
you find yourself back to
where you once began
a cry and then
the silence and the sigh
now,
back to the entrance
and then
the most awaited
exit door
light slipping on the
holes of the wall inside
a dark room
ah, you are in a monologue
the air listens
like a vacuum inside a glass
less dramatic
but should be with
more glory, perhaps...

The Dog That Is On Heat
you cannot leash a dog that is on heat
that would be a lot of trouble
that bitch will bark the whole night long
as though telling the world that you are killing it
you cannot keep it inside your room
it is spreading its scent across the road
and all the males of the neighborhood are sensing
waiting outside the fence
of iron grills
the dog bites the door and so you open it
it slips its body on the iron grills of the fence
and there she gets her own taste of life
surrounded by all the barking males
causing war among themselves
causing so much stir in the neighborhood
as though she is the Helen of Troy
that bitch dog of yours.

Imagine
Imagine information in the palm of your hand.
Imagine the knowledge of a library at your command.
Imagine all books written just a touch away.
Imagine all media at your finger tip each day.
Imagine a device that causes a mental revolution.
Imagine how it calculates with instant execution.
Imagine a discovery rivaling all human means.
Imagine its place in the mapping of genes.
Imagine where this miracle will take mankind.
Imagine unimaginables there still are to find.
Imagine love ruling the world some day.
Imagine how mankind could then find its lost way.

Imagine
Maybe you are already too old
Maybe you are not a child anymore
But let's imagine
Maybe you say this is a harsh world
Maybe you say I'm a naive person
But could you imagine?
Maybe it is ridiculous
Maybe it will never come true
But it's good to imagine
Maybe reality will never be like a dream
Maybe it just a temporary escape machine
But I want still able to imagine
Maybe about a fantasy land full of adventure
Maybe just a comfort and peaceful life
But take a breath and bravely imagine

Imagine That
Imagine That
Close your eyes...
Now relax your mind...
Now I want you to picture yourself
Far, far away
(You know your thoughts inside, girl we're 'bout to take a ride)
I don't want you to have a care in the world right now
(Let it go, let it go, let it go, aw yeah)
It's just you... and me
In this moment
Quiet... listen...
Baby take your mind into a zone
Imagine that we're all alone
2-way's off and our friends are gone
Now picture you and me gettin' it on
Take my hand and come with me
Let's indulge in fantasies
Cast your cares and worries
And slowly fall into this ecstasy
I'm gonna rub your body so baby just relax
You've been pourin' out your lovin' and now it's time to pour it back
Imagine that
Imagine that, imagine that, imagine that, imagine (all night long)
Imagine that
Me strokin' your body, imagine that
Imagine that, imagine that, imagine that, imagine (ohh-ho)
Imagine that
Whipped cream and strawberries, know what I mean?
Imagine that, imagine that, imagine that, imagine (ohh-ohh)
Imagine that
Candles and oils surrounding the bed
Imagine that, imagine that, imagine that, imagine (ohh-ho)
Imagine that
And me kissin' your body from feet to head
Imagine that
We don't have to talk
Ohh lay your body here, and watch my fingers walk
Take a second... and imagine the opportunity
You and me sharin' sexual energy
Now girl just meditate on you bein' in this chair
Now close your eyes and act like we're not even here
Girl I'm gonna rub your body so baby just relax
You've been pourin' out your lovin' and now it's time to pour it back
Imagine...

Imagine Angels
imagine angels.
imagine a bolt of lightning
out of the blue so blue
striking a tree
a few feet away
imagine a thunderstorm
remaining overhead all night
imagine a summer dawn arising
as if for the first time on the earth
imagine cats and dogs whimpering
as the ground trembles
with the approaching earthquake
imagine the equation for space-time
there in the mind as you wake
imagine the death of children
imagine the birth of children
imagine the first love
of your lover
imagine a joy beyond detachment
imagine a detachment beyond joy
imagine angels

Imagine (Love Poem)
Imagine the world ….
….if you had never said “Hello”
Imagine the space….
….where you were meant to be
Imagine waking up….
….in a forever empty bed
Imagine the absent closeness….
….and perfect pleasures lost
Imagine a time….
….before your tender touch
Imagine the future….
….if fragile friendships end
Imagine the energy….
….we must spend to stop this
Imagine the heat….
….that our love will generate
Imagine the reward….
….of this lifetime together.

Welcome To The Door Of Freedom
this is the door of freedom
you just got in
i have a room beyond this room
no one has entered yet
between this door and my room
is a space
this is where some pieces of my are left
but soon they will be taken back
to be kept inside my palms
to be hidden once again from you
when you get in
you will be introduced to the ritual of knowing
what you do not know
what you cannot know
what shall be hidden forever from you
and you shall be a little bit
disappointed
but you must insist
you have to repeat your name many times
you will sort out the letters
there are onions and chilies
they will make you cry
and then you will wish upon another door
this time it is your door
towards your own room
you will doubt about breathing
about windows and exits
and then you begin to ask
if all these are worth it
you decide.

Love is imagination
Love is imagination
We first imagine someone
That will be with us
Here and forever
We imagine someone
That always on our side
In sad and happy moment
We imagine someone
That gives us power
Through all difficult time
We imagine someone
That gives us dream
To fly to the wide sky
We imagine someone
That sleeps with us in the night
And still there when we open our eyes in the morning
We imagine someone
That gives us children of love
And spends his old days with us
We imagine someone
That makes us laugh
Until happiness hurts
We imagine someone
That makes us cry
Until tear becomes relief
We imagine someone
That really cares and loves us
When our imagination fits with our heart
Love continues…

A New Imagine (21st Century)
Imagine there’s no Internet
It’s alright, please don't cry
No comments for us
It’s all Pie in the sky
Imagine all the surfers
Nowt to do all day
Imagine no computers
It’s not easy for you
No Microsoft, or Windows
No Googling too
Imagine all the bloggers
Having inner peace
You might think I’m a nutter
But wait until I’m all done
You could enjoy all of this
And maybe have lots more fun
Imagine no more Tesco’s
No food out of a can
No shopping centre’s either
All living off the land
Imagine all the bloggers
Farming for their food
You might think I’m a nutter
Now that I’m nearly all done
I hope you have enjoyed this
And we can all live as one

When Everybodys Happy
Can you imagine
The world at peace
What would it be like
Can you imagine
Such harmony
And what will happen
When everybodys happy
But me
Can you imagine
This headache I have
Writing this song
Can you imagine
The storm inside
And the quiet
When everybodys happy
But me
I think that I would really
Like to love
Give and receive
I pray that my spirit
May rise above
And Ill live a good life
When everybodys happy
But me

The enemy arrives
Escape into the night
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Break into another time
This enemy alive
Divinity defines
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
Imagine if this all came down
I'm waiting for the day to come
Come with us to the ride
Join in the fight
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Break into another time
Unity divides
Division will unite
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run now
Everybody run
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
Imagine if this all came down
I'm waiting for the day to come
Under the burning sun
I take a look around
Imagine if this all came down
America it's all so beautiful
Until it comes away
Under the burning sun I take a look around
Imagine if this all came down
Under the burning sun I take a look around
Imagine if this all came down
Under the burning sun I take a look around
Imagine if this all came

Imagine
(spoken) oohh yeah...dark child...shola ama
imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me
sometimes i find myself locked in two
secret thoughts hoping they'd come true
sometimes at night i'd feel you lying next to me baby
but these are things that i could never tell you
i can't imagine what you would do
after all you are so far away from me...from me
sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true
imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me
there's a feeling so deep inside
telling me we are meant to me
praying that some day you will come for me...for me
but til then i'm just daydreaming
thinking about the way things could be
but it don't matter
coz you're still so far from me...baby
sometimes it feels just like a fantasy
and i don't know what to do
coz it's always been like a dream to me
to find a love to true
but i know it's only make believe
when i'm picturing me and you
oh one day i know that you'll be
the one that makes my dreams come true
imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me
how can you..be so far from me
how can i...be loving you endlessly
how can we...be so far out of reach
just not the way the way i hoped it would be
imagine if i told you that i want you
and imagine if it all came true
tell me what would you do with me
would you tell me that you feel the same
imagine if i told you that i need you
would you say baby i need you too
no matter what you do i know
that you should be in love with me
(repeat 2x)

Inside That Room
inside that room
clutters of old things
a conglomeration of dusts
silent stones
broken wedges
blunt shapes and sharp edges
inside that room
that silence we both shared
isolated moans
tongues lingering
inside that room
our memories
now the door is closed.
inside that room
the noise of insistence
the clap of a disaster
we disown
inside that room
the impregnation of tough thoughts
with soft laces
of ductile memories
inside that room
oh! there is no
us anymore.

Rat 7
i imagine you at your office
perhaps at the 105th floor
and you are busy with your
usual paper works
everything about strategies
how to make more money
and deciding about other people's
lives, their properties and
their liberties
now, try imagining if i can still
imagine
if you can still imagine me?
oh well, forget about it.
i have other plans myself
and waiting for you at the ground floor
could be nothing
but a silly wish.

There Is This Secret Room Of My Life
there is this secret room in my life
that will always be closed
it is mine, and no one gets in for in so doing
they shall find me
and if they find me inside this dark room
without windows
as they open and i am there and there will be too much light
to hurt my eyes
have pity
for i shall die.
