A Dirty Mind

it is just a lamp
you can turn it off
anytime

be agile
know what you want
and what you don't

know when to stop
when to switch it on

know how to unplug
and plug it

it is all in the mind
do not force it

come to me
let us be there

hold my hand
gently like a marsh floating in the water

let us see the world
without our minds on

let the worlds see us
as part of its garden

flowers with white petals
bees without stings

molting snakes
helpless to the kiss of the worms

what do you really want from me?
what?

i am naked
do not dress me up

The Scenic Garden

As I walk with your hand in mine, I see the most beautiful paradise known to man,
My eyes water at the magnificence of this garden like land,
Everything looks as if it’s a dream beyond the farthest span,
Let’s take a walk through paradise as I hold your hand,

I can see that majestic fountain that sits in the center of the garden of glee,
I observe in awe as I see the water flow gently down the steeps,
And it seems as if this is all made up in a dream,
But the reality is that in this garden of glee is where the angels sleep,

I’ve never seen something so beautiful in my life,
It looks as if the heavens came down to enhance my dream like sight,
The flowers are so scenic of pink, yellow, red and white,
This wonderland is so beautiful the plants blossom in the night,

As I walk with your hand in mine the rain drizzles gently to the ground,
I listen closely and I hear the birds chirping in the most beautiful of sounds,
I’m surrounded by magic in this beautiful garden all around,

Then I turn to you and lay my lips on yours,
I close my eyes in the process and realize it’s even more beautiful than before,
What I’ve realized is that, this magic garden isn’t the most that I adore,
It’s your hand in mine that I’ll hold forever more.

Rivalry only yields fruits.

Plants vie with each other
To give flowers in different colours.
They have to catch eyes of bees.
Bees vie with each other
To imbue force with their breeds.
They have to be early birds.
Flowers are colourful.
Bees are black moors.
A perfect combination.
Woman, mind your face.
Man, mind your force.

Big Boots

Drift all you like
From ocean to ocean
Search the whole world
Drunken confessions
And hijacked affairs
Just make you more alone
If you come home I'll bake you a cake
Made of velvet eyes
I wish you could see me
Just when I kill
You're my man-o-war
You're my man-o-war
And the worms will eat you whole
My love
So unplug your phone
Stop all the chatter
Iit all comes flooding back
From poisoned clouds
To poison the world
You're my man-o-war
You're my man-o-war
And the worms will eat you whole
And the worms will eat you whole
My love

Where Are You Going To My Love

(hiller/goodison/leslie/day)
I hold your hand and gently touch your hair
Then well walk together hand in hand
The way it used to be
The way you smile and kiss me tenderly
Tears begin to fill my misty eyes
Now you are gone from me
Where are you going to, my love
Will you come back when the sun shines
Anytime you want to come home
Its all right
Where are you going to, my love
Will our love return tomorrow
Anytime you want to call me
Its all right
I hear your voice
Its always haunting me
Everywhere I turn I see you face
But youre never there
Youre all I have,
Youre all Im living for
I cant bear the pain and misery
Please come back to me
Where are you going to, my love
Will you come back when the sun shines
Anytime you want to come home
Its all right
Where are you going to, my love
Will our love return tomorrow
Anytime you want to call me
Its all right

Beauty is for women

Flowers dress themselves in different colours
To attract bees, who are not colourful.
Flowers mind visits of bees, not their colour.
Hence women dress to get spotted.

A May Wedding

A May Wedding
As a bride who has the long veil around her head
The dogwood has white petals and they hide branches on the tree.
When it is time for her to kiss the groom
And the petals fall gently.
They become a white cloth spread neatly.
This looks like a wedding dress with a long train behind her
As she is walking down the aisle in the room
The wedding bells are ringing until she is out of sight
The wind appears and I see white doves in flight.

As You Feel The Pain At The Side Of Your Abdomen

i see what you are seeing, you are always telling me.
your fingers feel the pain. your eyes speak.
you take a little time. taking a look at the side of things.
you see some worms. a dead dog. a rat rotting on the road.
the rain has come for days. flood runs.
the sun comes. everything dries up.
the flowers wilt. this time you rise from your bed
to be alive for once.

you see ghosts. i see them too.
white ghosts floating on the window railings.
i call them clouds. outbursts of light.
the moon. and that stars.

denial. the images of denial come like some petals
of rain. red petals. orange leaves.

they come to you like naked children.
they grow to be men, naked men, these truths, they are like
the ten sculptures of david.

denial. you are talking of something else.
it is not pain. it is happiness. you like more of it.

yet the irony is, you are about to leave. the black car is waiting.
and they are ready with their dresses and flowers and prayers.

just as life has become beautiful
the end of the story comes. happy ending.

that is what you want. happy.

ending. sometimes, i feel so disgusted, why the young
useful and well-loved people always have to leave

there was no time enough to really meet them.
i am crying.

Two Of Us Inside A Room Of Fear ....

since i am
grappling in
the dark
and you too
lost inside
this room of
less air
and we are
all alone
trying to figure
out where to
take the
exit
the possibility
is
you may soon
touch me
and i may soon
find you
we are anxious
our fears are like
worms inside
our guts
but if i may soon
hold your hand
and touch your
face and your
body
who knows
if there is a switch
there
where i can
turn on
light
so much light
that will guide us
both
to another
world

find me
who knows i
am a switch myself
who knows
if i also own
light
so much light
untapped
undiscovered

discover me
i am waiting
in fear.

A Political Theory

the way you manage things
pertains to an ordinary garden
weeding out the bad ones
cultivating the ideals
the snakes are caught and
cut to pieces
and the rats poisoned
and the trees pruned
the paths cleaned of rocks
and pebbles
you level mountains
desiring the plains
and the neighborhood claps
their hand and shall make
new monuments for you
there are words of praises
but not from me

for in my garden
the snakes thrive with the rats
the moss grows well with the stone
the grasses and the buffaloes
the rivers and the reeds
the fish and crocodiles
the bees and the flowers
the mountains stay as is
and the plains spread as they wish

i just let themselves be
and they are all very happy.

The Honey Bees

Sweet when the flowers are blooming
Beautifully and fast they fly

The beauty comes to share
The dance of petals
The songs of beautiful bells
The scent of romantic roses

All the honey bees fly to dance
Singing the beautiful rhymes
Sparkling like the golden light
The sky smiles to see

But when the cloud comes
No more dance of petals
The bells stop to sing
The scent of roses disappeared

They fly to go with stings
No more cheerful dance
Poisons come to spread
Leaving the Fall to end

Two Different Worlds

You know I dont understand why you treat me like this
Its almost like you feel like youre from two different worlds
well, we are todd I dont think so
You should have a listen to me right now
I can feel it now baby I can feel it now, I can feel that
Even though youre a queen and Im only a prince
I felt the magical between us ever since
The first time that I laid eyes on you
I want you to be my girl, so I can hold you
Caress you and let you know that I love you
And day by day my love grows
Heres where I stand, I gotta be your man
I dont care if were from two different worlds
But were from
Two different, two different, were from two different worlds
Two different, two different worlds
I dont understand the way you feel
But its just a dream and it could never be real
So face to face I cant love you
Were from two, different worlds
Two different, two different, were from two different worlds
Two different, two different worlds
Man things are different, birds and bees
Flowers and trees, you and me
But it really doesnt matter, it makes us stronger
Theres more to talk about, well be together longer
Trustin me, have faith in my love
It goes so deep, girl youre so sweet
As a matter of fact, I want you for my wife
Please be a part of my life
I cant believe you wont give up
Your love is strong but boy, so what so what
You cant love me, I cant love you
Were from two, different worlds it doesnt matter
Two different, two different two different,
Were from two different worlds i dont care
Two different so what two different worlds
It could never make a difference in my heart
it could never make a difference
Never could keep us apart
Hold on hold on who cares what the world is sayin?
i do my love goes so deep, mmm, baby hold on
I know baby, lets take it to the climax
Two different, two different two different so different
Were from two different worlds i dont care
Two different so what, two different worlds
So whats it gonna be, you wanna be with me?
I wanna be witchu, my love is true
All you gotta do is get into love
Its like a blessin in disguise, sent from up above
This is your last chance, real not fate
Give me a break, dont make a mistake
Cause Im for real, I want you for my girl
I dont care if were from different worlds, but were from
Two different, two different two different so different
Were from two different worlds i dont care
Two different, two different worlds who cares baby
You gotta understand, you gotta understand, just take my hand, come on baby
Two different have a heart honey two different worlds i want you, I need you
Were from two different worlds take my hand honey
Two different, dont fool with the mood baby two, different worlds take me
By hand
You dont seem to understand i understand baby, were two, we can work it out
we can find a way, were from, self will change baby
Were from two different worlds
were the perfect match, I love you two different
trust me, have faith in your heart, baby worlds
Ill treat you right baby, Ill treat you right baby, Ill promise you
Two different you never meant as much to me till tonight two different
Ill always love you were from two different worlds Ill never forget you
Two, two, two, different trust me, hold my hand, have faith in me baby

Slippery People

Whatabout the time?
You were rollin' over
Fall on your face
You must be having fun
Walk lightly!
Think of a time.
You'd best believe
This think is real
Put away that gun
This part is simple
Try to recognize
What is in you mind
God help us!
Help us loose our minds
These slippery people
help us understand
what's the matter with him? He's alright!
I see his face The lord won't mind
Don't play no games He's alright
Love from the bottom to the top
Turn like a wheel He's alright
See for yourself The lord won't mind
We're gonna move Right now
Turn like a wheel inside a wheel
I remember when
Sittin' in the tub
Pulled out the plug
The water was runnin' out
Cool down
Stop acting crazy
They're gonna leave
And we'll be on our own
Seven times five
They were living creatures
Watch 'em come to life
Right before your eyes
Backsliding!
How do you do?
These slippery people
Gonna see you through

I live for the moment when its just you and me

Anytime, anytime, i'm your man
So hold me close, close as you can
Whisper to me, now what's your plan
You can trust me, understand baby, understand

How Could You?

I get up and look outside
Not a cloud up in the sky
The flowers are just coming into bloom
All the lovers walk together hand in hand
But paradise is nothing without you
I didn't move your coffee cup
The cigarettes that you gave up
All memories of things we used to do
Now I don't even bother with my make-up
I just wanna turn around and wake up with you
To hold on forever
A lifetime you said
So you can see it came as a surprise
After all the promises you made
Just tell me one thing
How could you baby
How could you baby
Tell me right now
Tell me why you changed your mind
How could you baby
How could you baby
Take hold of my world
Turn it upside down then say goodbye
I try to cheer myself a while
But can't remember how to smile
If only I could make some sense of this
What I wouldn't say or do to hold you
I'd give everything I have to give you one more kiss
To hold on forever
A lifetime you said
So you can see it came as a surprise
After all the promises you made
Just tell me one thing
How could you baby
How could you baby
Tell me right now
Tell me why you changed your mind
How could you baby
How could you baby
Take hold of my world
Turn it upside down then say goodbye

The Red Dress In A Breeze

Caressed to enfold your beautiful body the gentle breeze
Seems attracted to skim your every curve tightening your dress
To a Carmen’s level, provocative alluring, sensuous,

The stunning flowers behind you smile, inhaling your presence,
The red dress crowned with your shining black hair
Blocks out everything the eye can see except your lips.

This without a word beckons I to kiss,
The evening curtains close on the moon
Winking then casting shadows for I to draw near,

The red dress glows in the dark
Both our arms gently hold each other,
We say nothing

Only
That kiss of bliss, amore,
Imagination makes love.

Hold My Hand

With a little love, and some tenderness
Well walk upon the water
Well rise above this mess
With a little peace, and some harmony
Well take the world together
Well take em by the hand
cause Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Yesterday, I saw you standing there
Your head was down, your eyes were red
No comb had touched your hair
I said get up, and let me see you smile
Well take a walk together
Walk the road awhile, cause
cause Ive got a hand for you
Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Wont you let me run with you? yeah
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to a place where you can be
Hold my hand
Anything you wanna be because
I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can
See I was wasted, and I was wasting time
till I thought about your problems, I thought about your crimes
Then I stood up, and then I screamed aloud
I dont wanna be part of your problems
Dont wanna be part of your crowd, no
cause Ive got a hand for you
Ive got a hand for you
cause I wanna run with you
Ah, wont you let me run with you?
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to the promised land
Hold my hand
Maybe we cant change the world but
I wanna love you the best that, the best that I can, yeah
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to a place where you can be
Hold my hand
Anything you wanna be because
I...oh...no, no, no, no, no
Hold my hand
Want you to hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ill take you to the promised land
Hold my hand
Maybe we cant change the world but
I wanna love you the best that, best that I can
Oh, the best that I can

Paper Flowers

You seem like a girl who likes to tell her bed is made
You seem like a girl who likes to wear her pearls
Well Im not the type who likes to dwell,
Save my money or kiss and tell, yeah
Oh why does she water them, paper flowers?
This girl walks up so graciously,
Slips something in my pocket so secretly,
I said: honey, whats this you gave to me?
Oh nothing, water, wait and see
I said: paper flowers, they cant grow!
Just giveem water and let me know,
Giveem water and let me know, giveem water
And let me know
Oh why does she water them, paper flowers?
Paper flowers...
Oh why does she water them, paper flowers?
Paper flowers...
Shes dressed in black as you can see,
She tries so damn hard to be the enemy,
Shes got big black boots, get outta her way,
She wants to kick tomorrow, punch yesterday,
Kick tomorrow, punch yesterday
Oh why does she water them, paper flowers?
Paper flowers...
Turn a light on, turn a different light on
Turn a light on, turn a different light on now
Turn a light on, turn a different light on
Turn a light on, turn a different light on now!
Oh why does she water them, paper flowers?
Paper flowers...

Blossoms of Summer

The blossoms of
summer
once so young
and vibrant
beautiful flowers
of youth.

Fade quickly
one by one
gently dropping
their petals
floating to the
ground.

Painting picture
patterns of
yesterday
now just an image
lying somewhere in
the corners of my
mind.
