ONE That tells me
the true color of my soul
intimacies like vine
to a tree
faithfulness like
the sun to the mountain
shining on early mornings
without fail
one that i am at home with
with others are
taken by the storms of
my confusions
and needs
one who takes me for
what i am
identifies with me
during my
crucifixions
one who stands by me
when i sink as a ship
abandoned by
all the rats
and cockroaches
water to my pail
air to my lungs
sugar to my coffee
lemon to my
honey.

(orbison--dees)
Sugar and honey, is what I cry for
Sugar and honey, is what Id die for
And darlin doll you make my life worthwhile
Because I want you sugar and honey.
Sugar and honey, keep me goin
Sugar and honey, I been a-knowin
Well everytime your lovin lips meet mine
You know I want you sugar and honey.
A little bit-a sugar, a whole lotta honey
Its alright sugar and honey mornin noon and night
Give me sugar and honey anytime.
Sugar and honey, is what I live for
Sugar and honey, for the flavor
Every little bitty thing you do
Just makes me love you, sugar and honey.
A little bit-a sugar, a whole lotta honey
Its alright sugar and honey, mornin noon and night
Yeah sugar and honey anytime, ah sugar and honey all the time

Da Ya Think Im Sexy

(rod stewart / carmine appice)
Sugar, sugar
She sits alone waiting for suggestions
Hes so nervous avoiding all the questions
His lips are dry, her heart is gently pounding
Dont you just know exactly what theyre thinking
If you want my body and you think Im sexy
Come on sugar let me know.
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on honey tell me so
Tell me so baby
Hes acting shy looking for an answer
Come on honey lets spend the night together
Now hold on a minute before we go much further
Give me a dime so I can phone my mother
They catch a cab to his high rise apartment
At last he can tell her exactly what his heart meant
If you want my body and you think Im sexy
Come on honey tell me so
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on sugar let me know
His hearts beating like a drum
cos at last hes got this girl home
Relax baby now we are alone
They wake at dawn cos all the birds are singing
Two total strangers but that aint what theyre thinking
Outside its cold, misty and its raining
They got each other neither ones complaining
He says I sorry but Im out of milk and coffee
Never mind sugar we can watch the early movie
If you want my body and you think Im sexy
Come on sugar let me know
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on honey tell me so
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on sugar let me know
If you really, really, really, really need me
Just let me know
Just reach out and touch me
If you really want me
Just reach out and touch me
Come on sugar let me know
If you really need me just reach out and touch me
Come on sugar let me know
If you, if you, if you really need me
Just come on and tell me so

Sugar Man

Roy orbison/ bill dees
Look at me walking free, day and night
Here I come, Im the one to treat you right
Ill make your dreams come true, Ill do what I can
Baby when I do, you can say you knew the sugar man
I can make lemon sweet, yes I can
I can make trick a treat, yes I can
Im a walkin honeycomb, complete with candy kisses
Woman come along, you dont want to miss this sugar man
When the temperature drops, call the heater man
When the water stops, call the plumber man
When youre feelin lonely, you know who to see
Look in the yellow pages of your directory, look for me
Sugar in the mornin, sugar every night
Sugar in between times, sugar anytime
Take me by the hand I wanna be your sugar man
Baby understand, I gotta be your sugar man
Let me be your sugar man, I wanna be your sugar man
I gotta be your sugar man, let me be your sugar man, I wanna be your sugar man....

Honey and lemon

Honey and lemon, I know how
The taste blends, and honey and
Pancakes, I know the taste
And lemon in ripe papaya
so sour so sweet

And Honey, how about you and me,
Do I blend like lemon to your honey?

or do i blend more as a yellow slice of
lemon
to your margarita?

The Coffee Slips

Whene'er I fragrant coffee drink,
I on the generous Frenchman think,
Whose noble perseverance bore
The tree to Martinico's shore.
While yet her colony was new,
Her island products but a few,
Two shoots from off a coffee-tree
He carried with him o'er the sea.
Each little tender coffee slip
He waters daily in the ship,
And as he tends his embryo trees,
Feels he is raising midst the seas
Coffee groves, whose ample shade
Shall screen the dark Creolian maid.
But soon, alas! his darling pleasure
In watching this his precious treasure
Is like to fade,-for water fails
On board the ship in which he sails.
Now all the reservoirs are shut,
The crew on short allowance put;
So small a drop is each man's share,
Few leavings you may think there are
To water these poor coffee plants;-
But he supplies their gasping wants,
Even from his own dry parchëd lips
He spares it for his coffee slips.
Water he gives his nurslings first,
Ere he allays his own deep thirst
Lest, if he first the water sip,
He bear too far his eager lip.
He sees them droop for want of more;-
Yet when they reach the destined shore,
With pride the heroic gardener sees
A living sap still in his trees.
The islanders his praise resound;
Coffee plantations rise around;
And Martinico loads her ships
With produce from those dear-saved slips.

The Anger Of Old Men...

who am i then?
is there nothing left?
the splintered leg
of the coffee table,
the doorknob broken,
the place on the edge of the yard
where the dog likes to piss?
do old men's bodies
crumble into the shadows
of all the things they've died for?
how many plates filled?
how many cups poured?
how many fires tended
against the night?
how many hands held?
how many dreams buried
beneath the tree that stands?
how many conversations
with pictures on the walls?

lonliness breathes,
with a stink familiar...
the tv drones like gnats
flung against the bulb...
the world's gone mad,
and everything i thought i knew,
is buried on the hill!
even the name on my shirt has faded,
coffee cups stacked in the sink.
the hands fumbling with buttons,
are both cold, and alone...
and the body on the bed,
is no body at all.
the vine grown into the gutters,
rain water falling on pavement cracked!

Life Is As Simple And Enjoyable As Sipping Coffee Early Morning And Enjoying The Scenery Of A Rustic Place

alright,
we simplify this

it is early morning
they have not awakened yet
the house is very peaceful
the windows are closed still
and the doors too

alright
stand, walk towards the window
open all of them
let the cold air come in

then walk towards the door
unlock it
and open it too and then
let the cold air
come in

you want coffee?
go to the kitchen
take a spoon a cup and saucer and
take sugar and coffee and
hot water

you know what to do, right?
feel at home
this is your home

now take your time
sit on a chair
face the trees
stir your coffee
feel it hot
and then sip

enjoy, savor the scenery of
this rustic place

feel the wind on your cheeks
take the warm side of the cup

alright,
is not life as simple as this?

Shake The Sugar Tree

(chapin hartford)
(track 5 - time 3:08)
Love, youre getting lazy
Youre forgettin to give me
Sweet sugar words that I wanna hear
Youve been neglectin me
You know jealously, it is a bitter as a green spring berry
And just like fruit from a fickle vine
You turn sweet in the nick of time
Love you only come alive when youre losin me
And its a childish game
Ive got to shake you up just to wake you up
To make you love me
Ill shake the sugar tree
Til I feel your love fallin all around me
Youve got to tend to what you planted
And if you take my love for granted baby
Ill shake the sugar tree
Another night and youre sleepin
Im awake and Im dreamin
Oh honey bout the way that it used to be
And little times gone by
Do you think that Im content
With the cookin and the payin of rent
No I wanna know if your loves all spent
Ill shake the sugar tree
Til I feel your love fallin all around me
Youve got to tend to what you planted
And if you take my love for granted baby
Ill shake the sugar tree
Ive got to raise some commotion
Before you show me some real emotion
Ill shake the sugar tree
Til I feel your love fallin all around me
Youve got to tend to what you planted
And if you take my love for granted baby
Ill shake the sugar tree
You know Im gonna shake the sugar tree
Til I feel your love fallin all around me
Youve got to tend to what you planted
And if you take my love for granted baby
Ill shake the sugar tree

Naked Before My Eyes

feeling empty
i sense you
i get near you
feeling your hand
and you look at me
knowing something
that fills you too
i like you to be
my empty cup
to my hot water
i can be more
than hot water
i can be a spoon
stirring you and
you can be coffee too
and cream and
sugar and mint

i can be the mouth
that opens to drink
you as coffee and
surely we shall have
a good time together

tonight i like you
to be more than coffee
and cream and sugar

just be yourself naked
before my emptiness

and i can also be more
than a mouth to you

To Be Happy Altogether

yesterday the used plates and stained cups and saucers and spilled coffee and bread with molds
disturbed me

i was thinking about the bugs and the rats and the
bacteria and the disease
and death,

the whole night i could not sleep
i am bothered about the negligence of other people
their lackadaisical attitude and how i should have remedied situation and
cure the diseases of our society

it is a matter of social responsibility and
environmental if not political maturity
saying there is a time for making a difference

this morning my eyes sink inside my sockets
like marbles inside a black hole
and i entertain the idea of the possibility that i may finally
go blind because i think too much about what to do and how to do
things to make this world a better place to live in
and yet i have really done nothing and the possibility that i may have bad karma in the last analysis
is not a remote
happening

i realized that i am not enjoying my life anymore
concerned as i am about the disease
the cockroaches the rats and the
emerging sharp edges of the
sickle that death is carrying in my fields of hay

i make a conclusion that this is not good for me
after all i am part of this mess
that cockroaches infest that rats crawl and dirty with their tiny feet and stinking tail and that all these bacteria despite what science has been doing
still thrive upon their new shapes and wise mutations
that virus love this earth and will always be here to stay
and kill so many

and so....

i tell myself: stop the worrying
learn to accept what is here and then be happy altogether.

Beautiful Land

Anthony newley, leslie bricusse
Red is the color of a lot of lollipops,
Orange is any orange on a tree.
Yellows the color of a bag of lemon drops,
Green is a piece of seaweed in the sea.
Blue is the color of the sky in summertime
Indigo is a siamese cats eyes.
Violets the color of a flowr in wintertime.
These are the colors of the rainbow skies.
There is a beautiful land
Where all your dreams come true;
Its all tied up in a rainbow,
All shiny and new;
But its not easy to find
No matter what you do.
Its not on top of a mountain
Or beneath the deep blue sea
Or in london zoo or in timbuktoo,
Or in timbuckthree.
And if you travelled the world
From china to peru,
Theres no beautiful land on the chart.
An explorer could not begin
To discover its origin
For the beautiful land is in your heart.

Sugar Mountain

Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Its so noisy at the fair
But all your friends are there
And the candy floss you had
And your mother and your dad.
Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Theres a girl just down the aisle,
Oh, to turn and see her smile.
You can hear the words she wrote
As you read the hidden note.
Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Now youre underneath the stairs
And youre givin back some glares
To the people who you met
And its your first cigarette.
Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Now you say youre leavin home
cause you want to be alone.
Aint it funny how you feel
When youre findin out its real?
Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.
Oh, to live on sugar mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You cant be twenty on sugar mountain
Though youre thinking that youre leaving there too soon,
Youre leaving there too soon.

Color Red

to everything that life stands for in this color

Red is the color of my life
Still stop at cross roads may
Not knowing to proceed or go back
Look to God to show me the way

Red is the color of my passion
It wills that life screams new
A wish that dreams are fulfilled
If really, god did wish it true

Red is the color of my search
For the intelligence crackling few
They confidently take the path
I wish I also just knew

Red is the color of my dreams
They stand alone at sway
I beckon them within my reach
They will, to be far away

Red is the color of my hope
It cries to me to just trust
How do I, the world's so bad
If I do, I feel I just must

Red is the color of my faith
I hold it strong, in awe
I fail at every cornerstone
I breathe, not knowing how

Red is the color of my strength
It overtakes the weak in me
But when it comes to deciding
I feel so weak, you see

Red is the color of my belief
I feel it true but strange
The will to make it my own
For anything, it shall not change

Red is the color of my blood
It spills, in spurts through me
The pressure, it seeks release
It's God's wish, true must be

Perfect Coffee

she dance in front of me, in early morning suite,
before the Rooster crock in early shout of morning,
brows and feel then the coffee lies in the table with
a happy roost

comfort the night with that dancing lady, where
every inch of her hair, languish her leg just off the
bed to play, come admirable ecstasy wake me up,
full and squeeze the earth, grip my trembling heart
as you quizzed my neck into the earth seeking night
with nothing but gone of myself

I almost drawn, of the mixed emotion of sugar drops
in the coffee, wanted a perfect blends of boil water as
it fades away, oh! yes thanks to the table that hold
every cup, the party has to go like a merry go around
the table of free

now the sweet aroma of coffee brings a good
morning mist, with sugar dare coffee taste as old, the
same thirst the tongue requests; drink the leverage of
mate that holds, for each breath of lips that savour
the spell, lives the saving faith

a hot coffee for free, take it out or dine with thee ….

Cat and Bat's Revenge

The day the cat
and the bat
ate the rat
'Now peace b'coz we don't need to fight
for the rat'
said the cat.
'OK.' said the bat who hanging upside down on the wall
his shadow looking grand and tall
but the rats of the other world were scared
b'coz one of them read
the agreement
now the fastest mouse made a plan
to cut the wires of the fan
so it fell on the cat,
but the bat
took the rat and ate all his fat
the rats were frightened
so they sent another robotic rat
to outwit the bat and cat
now the plan was ready
and it was also fine
but unluckily came the bad pine
of the tree
which always helped the cat and the bat flee
from the rats net
which would always fail b'coz of the bat's friend the pine tree
who would help them see
the wicked plans of the rats
and tell them to all the bats
oh poor rats
getting all eaten up by cats(and bats)
then came the wisest rat sniper the 'sniper'
he went and cut the tree
and didn’t let the cat
and the bat flee
he threw a pan
on the fan
which hit the cat
and the bat
on thier heads
so now they are saved
from the cat
and bat
but now what?
here comes a rat
who's on the side of the cat
and the bat
the wisest mouse got him in the team again and put him to deep
sleep
so the cat and the bat
ate the 'EVIL' rat.

Dinner For Three

she is a doctor and he is a lawyer
looks like they are sweet after three years
of marriage
compatible, super, she says
as she takes a sip of her pineapple juice
while he prefers not beer
but just plain water,

well, he knows more about
asthma and heart disease
but i do not know more about
legal terms, she tells me again,

one time, he tells me
in the email, he cannot live without her
even for a minute

super, really super, this loveydovey couple
i like them

but sometimes, i couldn't help thinking
they are still new on this

trade, this marriage, and still there will be
more storms to come

superstorms

i still have yet twelve years
i and emma, and we still need more storms
to shake this boat

this marriage
and if there are none to come

i will rock it, let me see how anger
makes her more human
and strong and true

and perhaps even more
beautiful,

then soon, when these couple for three blissful years
comes again

it will now be a nicer dinner for four.

A pair of Sparrows on my lovely Lemon Tree

Those were the days
So joyous and carefree
When I could watch the preening of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

Summer days were so short, winters were so long
And for endless hours one could go on a kite flying spree
When I could watch, hopping here and there
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

Enjoying tender sunshine in winter is a past
And chapattis from an earthen hearth a history
When I could watch, assembling of a nest by
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

What seemed to be mundane at that time
Life in my backyard so ordinary
Bliss it is in hindsight, chirping of
A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree

I still sometimes motivate myself
To get off the treadmill and shake the shackles free
But can’t anymore find in my back yard
That pair of sparrows and that lovely lemon tree

A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree..

A pair of sparrows on my lovely lemon tree.......
