3: 40 A.m.
i am not alone
you are there too
talking to yourself
and i am hearing
every word that you
are uttering
i am not alone
there is this cock crowing
three times six times
there is this dog barking
without a sign
that it will be stopping
there is this howl
and it is inside my heart
there is this prison
without an opening
there is this leaf
about to fall
there is this river
always running
there is this bird
wanting to fly away
there is this island
still undiscovered by you
there is this pebble
staring at you
there is this silence
always pervading
there is this word
still unspoken
there is this anger
surrounded by thick walls
there is this emptiness
never filled
there is this longing
on its journey towards eternity
there is this wish
wanting to be blessed
there is this death
sitting beside your sadness
there is this happiness
still waiting to be harnessed

Why Is There No Happiness
Why is there no “happiness….”
Having no heart to pulling apart
Hearing the same words over and over
Dieing is for the week…..
Wanting to cry but cant theres no tears to fall
Eyes are dry turning in to dust
wanting to go on to fined a preppies
To an answer for “Why is there no happiness”
Walking a lonely on this rode
What lese to no where
Looking ahead to see something new
A sine never been seen by anyone
Saying there is no happiness…

In Wanting To Be A Stone
in wanting to be a stone
an island is formed
rising from the river
a mountain is born
the shores expand
the banks traveled
like a viral disease
wanting to fill the
sea with nothing but
a wide expanse of
sand and pebbles
the feet feels like
some hands touching
a stem filled with thorns
not forgetting the rose
like the way i carry my
loneliness
my emptiness
with my bare
hands

Sadness Is The Silence That Dare Not Write A Word
SADNESS IS THE SILENCE THAT DARE NOT WRITE A WORD
Sadness is the silence that dares not write a word -
Sadness is the inward pain that aches to be once heard-
Sadness is the nothingness of what one forever is-
Sadness is the emptiness of nothing real to give-

So You Feel You Do Not Like To Work
something stopped when you said it
could be the clock of my life
or the chimes of some bells
in my fingers
when you said your lines, that you do not like to work
because the haiku
and the tanka are all there like children
waiting to play with you
they want to be written
by nobody but you, just you, like some animated kites
wanting to fly from the strings of your hands
now having air and tails
i feel the same, i see this river bed drying and i am like a dam
filled with water wanting to burst and flood
the earth
with poems
i am this cracking lips and inside is my tongue wet
so wet with this fluid
wanting to spit what i have inside me
but i am not that true
to this calling
the dam is fortified
and my flood did not happen
and my tongue likes to sleep
tired and so afraid
swallowing everything
and so
nothing revolutionary really happens
time can wait,
i need sleep, i need to eat, and i need a little rest and
silence tonight again
with the uncomplaining stars

Don't Forget (22nd)
Don’t forget those times we used to laugh
About your silliness and awkwardness
I so love that about you
Don’t forget those times we watched
Some epic gross movie, I enjoyed
The best part was- sitting next to you!
Don’t forget those times we felt so uninspired
Yet your presence lights my fire,
You gave me so much joy
Don’t forget those times we just sit and talk
Sometimes you sang, I listened,
I cherish that moment my love
Don’t forget those times we used to eat out
The best days we had together
I wish that more would come
Don’t forget my words to you
How great and good you are,
I will say it again, if ever you doubt
Don’t forget those times of long silence
Yet our hearts beat as one
I will miss your empty corner
Don’t forget those times I didn’t speak
I was praying for you, I was longing
To be near you
Don’t forget those times of sadness
I was teaching you to rise up,
so you would know what you want
Don’t forget this special time, I allowed
My heart to love, I want to talk
I want to know, how about you?
Don’t forget that all we have, is but limited time
Just talk, just ask,
I have been waiting all this time

Endless Journey
There is a journey we all take,
To find who we are, what we will be and more.
The journey is endless, for it follows life
the good times and the bad.
the journey is hard but worth while.
It is filled with sadness and grief,
There is danger at every turn, every street.
Though, it isn't all so dark.
Sun shines even in the darkest hour;
as the birds sing, the flowers open.
The path brings you to people, to friends.
AS it goes on, even to love,
To happy times you spend in the sun
with the one that holds your heart.
The journey isendless, but full of hope.
Even when death comes and claims life
it's still not the wnd of the journey,
Only a new begining.

Gone Too Far to Prove
Someday
You will think about this
And come to wish you chose
To be with me
Sharing your world
Wanting with overwhelming desire
For me to be there
To hold close
Someday
You will find
Dining alone and asking
Why
Sit and stare
Aware
Like I am right now
My embraces have gone empty
Without you
I know too well
This is just a spell
Someday
I hope my bitterness
Dispels my anger
To lift any loneliness
For me
Away from you
I am close to wishing you are
Lonely
Sitting there in remorse
Reminiscing dismissing me
And someday
You will wish
Sending me away
As quick
To convey
The finality of the anger
You displayed that day
Comes less often to haunt
Reliving intimacy
Someday
You will wish
Sending me away
Did not stop happiness
Everyday
Someday
You will find where we were
And sit aware
Staring
From a window lit by moonlight
Knowing
We both had gone too far
To prove
What stupid people do
To feel as stupid as I do
Now
Hearing your words
Punctuate
As I listen
Getting what I had missed
With a bit of hindsight
And wanting your eyes
To witness mine
Sometimes
Closed
Dripping with tears
Someday
You will think about this
And come to wish you chose
To be with me
Sharing your world
Wanting with overwhelming desire
For me to be there
To hold close
Someday

Still Turning Back To Him
Running as far, knowing that he will catch up
Tears are made and fall and doesn’t stop
And running away seems like the only way
Running so far, get tired and drop.
Yet running away, he still comes back for me
As down on the ground, he helps me up
Still betrayed and hurt, wanting to turn away
Like this heart it wants more from the cup.
Not being able to run, just standing there
Afraid of what he might do and say
An apology and forgiveness is asked
Saying no seems to be right, but nay.
Trying to forget what had just happened now
Knowing that he had deceived me hurts
But, the hearts speaks of its own for it want to love
And just him, and no one else to flirts.
As many times as this may happen to all
And always wanting to stop the pain
The right answer seems to be letting him go
Yet this heart cant, it’s as sturdy as a chain.
Love for him will always misinterpreted
Still willing to put up everything
For this one simple thing, a kiss, a hug,
Or just for Love, like the loving King.
Color Me Red
Red is deep anger that never comes out
Red is believing, and then having doubt.
Red reeks of revenge, of suffering and hate.
Red is being thirsty and having to wait.
Red, in a painting, makes one hot and confused,
It’s the anger of crying when you feel you’ve been used.
Red is that voice, deep in your head,
It could keep you back, but pushes ahead.
It mocks you silently with a voice full of hate,
“You can’t do it, you are weak, and it is your fate.”
Red feels like fire, singeing your heart,
It’s wanting to be together, but having to part.
Red is running through desert and sun,
It’s needing a friend, but having none.
Red is the heart that’s been broken in two,
It’s hearing those lies, and wanting what’s true.

We Are Converging
Wanting to be heard.
Wanting to be valued.
Wanting to be acknowledged.
Wanting to sustain a way of life...
Fading.
To emerge once again and surge.
Wanting to be admired.
Wanting most to be thought as best!
Wanting to imprint an impression...
That conflicts and unrest,
Did not from them initiate...
The perpetuating of protests.
Nor did the rise of destruction, fear and insecurities...
Leave this world in a chaotic mess.
We are converging!
And peace...
Will be the final test.
Many want.
Many wish.
Many hope to fill all hearts with love.
Instead of a digressive emptiness.

Secret Ambition
Michael w. smith
Young man up on the hillside
Teaching new ways
Each word winning them over
Each heart a kindled flame
Old men watch from the outside
Guarding their prey
Threatened by the voice of the paragon
Leading their lambs away
Leading them far away
Chorus:
Nobody knew his secret ambition
Nobody knew his claim to fame
He broke the old rules steeped in tradition
He tore the holy veil away
Questioning those in powerful position
Running to those who called his name
(but) nobody knew his secret ambition
Was to give his life away
His rage shaking the temple
His word to the wise
His hand healing on the seventh day
His love wearing no disguise
Some say death to the radical
Hes way out of line
Some say praise be the miracle
God sends a blessed sign
A blessed sign for troubled times
Chorus

Emptiness
Emptiness can't be filled
until the heart is at rest.
Fullness can't be alleviated
until the heart is blessed
with the sweetness of a springtime day
that you find has come your way.
Emptiness has left a line
running from my breast
to my waist.
The only way to remove it
is to have you taste
my sadness.
Then it will be taken away.

Forever Mine
The room is dark, all alone am I.
Sitting here thinking of times gone by.
Remembering the past, the way things were.
A different time, when so much was unsure.
During these times, you came to my life.
Bringing happiness and laughter and love into sight.
Never such a feeling had I felt before.
Every moment spent with you, just left me wanting more.
More glances and stares, from your eyes so bright.
Eyes that see deep in my soul, making everything alright.
Wanting more kisses, from your soft lips so sweet.
Lips that make my legs weak and my heart skip a beat.
Wanting more time spent in your loving embrace.
Arms so strong and gentle, such a safe, loving place.
Wanting your warm touch, as you caress all of me.
Such a sensual feeling, setting my body so free.
Here we are, so many years more.
Not much has changed, I just want you even more.
Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for you.
Every morning I think that our love is like new.
A new beginning. A fresh new start.
A new day to tell you what's deep in my heart.
You've made me feel loved, wanted and adored.
No one could possibly ever love me more.
And now here we are, loving each other from a far.
Waiting for the day, to awake in your arms.
To look upon your face, and deep in your eyes.
Knowing we'll never have to say our good byes.
Until that day comes just know this is true,
Everything I have to give, I have given to you.
I give you my heart, soul, body and mind.
And dream of the day you'll forever be mine.

Travelling
a travel is a metaphor of a journey
and a journey is always
what life is all about
arrivals and departures and i see it well
at airports
and well, so well, at pre-departures
then we move inside the plane and
the doors close and we are lifted to the skies
for hours you are beside the clouds
but you never have the courage to open the window
and touch each fine cotton beside you
crazy but sometimes i think that way
opening closed windows and think not of the
prohibitions and the consequencies,
there is so much silence up there and it is the mind
that does much of the talking and you listen
always for the reminders of the stewardess
and the captain telling you that
we are 30,000 feet above sea level and out there
you see Panay Island
we will be flying for one hour and a half
it is a fine day
and then the seat belt sign is on for the
turbulence but you do not mind
you look forward to an arrival and the another
opening of a door to a destination
touchdown, the plane lands perfectly as always
no plane crash, no headlines for the daily news
but i do not really think about these matters anymore
i am thinking of the silence. I am thinking about the mind that
keeps on talking. Data. Ideas. Sad memories.
Dead parents. Sick sibling. Flowers. Trees.
The sun brightly shining behind a
Thick Cumulus cloud.
the stewardess announces an arrival, fifteen minutes
earlier than scheduled. Fast plane. My thoughts unconsumed.
we step down. we take our bags. this journey never stops.

All Of This
With all of this I know now
Everything inside of my head
It all just goes to show how
Nothing I know changes me at all
Again I wait for this to change instead
To tear the world in two
Another night with her
But I'm always wanting you
Use me Holly come on and use me
We know where we go
Use me Holly come on and use me
We go where we know
With all of this I feel now
Everything inside of my heart
It all just seems to be how
Nothing I feel pulls at me at all
Again I wait for this to pull apart
To break my time in two
Another night with her
But I'm always wanting you
Use me Holly come on and use me
We know where we go
Use me Holly come on and use me
We go where we know
She's all I need
She's all I dream
She's all I'm always wanting
She's all I need
She's all I dream
She's all:
I'm always wanting you
Yeah I'm always wanting you
I'm always wanting you
Use me Holly come on and use me
We know where we go
Use me Holly come on and use me
We go where we know
She's all I need
She's all I dream
She's all I'm always wanting
She's all I need
She's all I dream
She's all:
I'm always wanting you
Yeah I'm always wanting you
I'm always wanting you
>At all again I wait for this
>To feel the home
>To shake the sky in two
Another night with her
But I'm always wanting you
Another night with her
But I'm always wanting you

Hard Times
Have you ever felt
That your life is a wasting
Happiness beyond your reach
Sweet love has gone astray
Suddenly its bitter
Hard times
Hard times
When youre all alone
Nothing seems to matter
Sadness always fills the air
Hurts so deep inside
You just have to cry out
Wow.....hard times
Wow.....hard times
Wow.....hard times
Wow.....hard times
Give yourself a chance
You have something special
That nobody else can claim
Deep inside your heart
Shines a revelation
Wow.....shine on
Wow.....shine on
Wow.....hard times
Wow.....hard times

Im sorry...
Im sorry for messaging you on msn,
Im sorry for flirting with you then,
Im sorry for making you fall in love,
Im sorry for making you my live,
Im sorry for every single lie,
Im sorry for everytime i made you cry,
Im sorry for being emotional,
Im sorry for being inconsequential,
Im sorry im not smart,
Im sorry that sometimes i fart,
Im sorry that i hurt you so deep,
Im sorry you made my heart beat skip,
Im sorry for ignoring your needs,
Im sorry for everything I did,
Im sorry for fighting with you,
Im sorry for wanting to be your beau,
Im sorry that you hate me so much,
Im sorry for missing your every touch,
Im sorry i wont be seeing you tomorrow,
Im sorry for giving you your sorrows,
Im sorry for wanting you to have my last name,
Im sorry that now you barely remember my name,
Im sorry that you cant forgive me,
Im sorry but i hope you do miss me,
Im sorry for calling you too many times,
Im sorry if my poem doesnt rhyme,
Im sorry that i'll never be sorry again,
coz sorry is a word you'll never hear from me again.
Please forgive me...

Swing Low
The sun is rising in the sky
Here were waiting, standing by
Round in circles, round and round
Pulse is racing, cant sit down
The noise of people fills the air
Search for silence goes nowhere
Time just passes, starts to rain
I look at you and I feel your pain
Day after day watching it grow, counting the time
In each and every way the pleasure is mine
Through all of the high times
Through all of the low times
The farther we reach, the farther we see
The farther we go
Time after time waiting for you, when will you come
Wanting to play the game weve begun
Through all of the high times
Through all of the low times
The more we can give, the more we can keep
The more there will be
Like the man said he was right
bout something coming in the air tonight
Well if its coming, let it be now
I feel its close, I just know somehow
I cant hold on much longer
My head is filled with wonder
But if these things dont come to pass
Ill bring you water and fill your glass
Everyday the stronger it grows, its easy to see
Getting to feel how good it can be
Through all of the high times
Through all of the low times
The more that we teach, the better we learn
The better well be

Thru These Walls
I can hear thru these walls
I can hear it when theyre foolin around
I can hear thru these walls
And I hear evry sign, evry sound
I can hear thru these walls
In the dark with the shades pulled down
Evry word that they say
Evry noise they make feels its coming my way
My favrite moment
Putting the glass up next to the wall
Imagination
Tho I see nothing, I hear it all
Putting my sign up
Do not disturb me, speak or shout, inside out
Oh mind my clothes, theyre all laid out
I can see thru my windows
I can see the girls and the boys
I can see thru my windows
And I can imagine the noise
I can see thru my windows
I can see them playing with toys
Oh I hope it wont end
If I promise not to touch, just be a friend
Life is so lonely
I dont get high off just being me
I like pretending
Wanting to touch them, wanting to see
Its only normal
Creeping behind you, now dont shout, cos its alright
They keep the windows locked and the door shut tight
Oo Im feeling like Im locked in a cage
No way in, no way out, and it gets so lonely
Am I really asking a lot
Just to reach out and touch somebody
cos when I look thru my windows or open my door
I can feel it all around me
I can hear thru these walls
I can hear it when theyre foolin around
I can hear thru these walls
And I hear evry sight, evry sound
I can hear thru these walls
In the dark with the shades pulled down
Evry word that they say
Evry noise they make feels its coming my way
Ah yeah...

Silence and Echo
solitude
like silence
falls off on the ground
undisturbed waters
transparent
this silence of word
silence of air
this silence
solitude
nobody's longing
breaks against a bricked wall
high
wall like concrete
thick
and heavy
this perfect peace
at times
larynx scream
will wake up the silence
disturb
this constant reverie
sorrow
wants to leave
or silence
wants to play
with the echo
longer
