THERE is still light
piercing the
blinds,

it settles on the
soft spot
of the pillow

it hits the iris
of my eye

it says there is
a reason for
mornings

for mourning
for sorrow
for wings and buds
for rivers that keep on flowing
for the rain that finally stops.

I Remembered The Rain

I remembered the rain...
the day we sat together
watching the rain drops dancing before us
on the window before our eyes

I remembered your face...
the expression in your eyes
the frown on your brow
looking at the rain dancing before your eyes

I remembered you...
looking at me
with that soft, pained, wistful look in your eyes
knowing in the midst of the rain, around us
that you were trying to remember me
so that you would not forget my face
on the day we were finally apart

All that we ever had was the rain...
that day
And what we remembered
of each other's face in the shadow of the rain that day...

Now, without you...
I hear the rain...
only the rain, and remembering your eyes
that soft, pained, wistful look in your eyes
tearing me apart, crushing my heart

As I remember you...

When Sorrow Is Forgotten

When sorrow is forgotten
the sun can finally be seen in the dusk sky of warm hues
your mind feels light and open
and your body that was once locked up in chains is free as a young eagle

When sorrow is forgotten
life presents you with the gift of love and happiness
your wings can dry from the tears that dampened them
you can finally let go and soar

The higher you fly, the lighter you feel
the weight that once kept you confined, starts to fall from your shoulders
your lungs can finally envelop the cool air
of Earth

When sorrow is forgotten
you mind can think clearly again
your body is your temple again
and your heart can finally feel again

What is a Horse?

What is a horse?
A horse has eyes as dainty as a mink.
The grace is interrupted merely by a blink.
A horse is beauty.

What is a horse?
A horse is a tree in a storm that never goes down.
A horse is a weathered rock that stays around.
A horse is ancient.

What is a horse?
A horse waltzes like breeze over rivers.
She curvets and leaps like rain shivers.
A horse is a marionette.

What is a horse?
A horse is determination, that never stops flowing.
A horse is fondness, that never stops growing.
A horse is poetic power.

Weather Reporst Suite Part I

Winter rain, now tell me why, Summers fade, and roses die.
The answer came; the wind and rain.
Golden hills, now veiled in grey, Summer leaves have blown away
Now what remains? The wind and rain.
And like a desert spring, my lover comes and spreads her wings, Knowing,
Like a song that's born to soar the sky, Flowing,
Flowing 'til the waters all are dry, Growing, the loving in her eyes.
Circle songs and sands of time, and seasons will end in tumbled rhyme,
and little change, the wind and rain.
And like a desert spring, my lover comes and spreads her wings,
Knowing, Like a song that's born to soar the sky,
Flowing, Flowing 'til the rivers all are dry, Growing, the loving in her eyes.
Winter grey and falling rain, we'll see summer come again,
Darkness falls and seasons change (gonna happen every time).
Same old friends the wind and rain, Summers fade and roses die,
You'll see summer come again, Like a song that's born to soar the sky

Flowing Red River

I dive head first into the flowing red river.
It's acrid taste fills my mouth.
I drown in it's putrid depths.
My heart pounds and excitement grips.

As the flowing red river drips.
I cannot contain my growing glee.
I cannot wait to feed on it's bounty.
From down below I stand up straight.
I rise to greet this wonderful fate.

The flowing red river fills me up.
I bend right down from it to suck.
In and out I feel such love.
It cleans my soul flowing red river runs.

I feel it right now it's almost gone.
The pinnacle of joy hits like a bomb.
Yet I'm sad when the flowing red rivers gone.
Fear not though we'll always meet.
When the flowing red river comes to greet.

These Lazy Mornings, Thi Lovely Self...

there are mornings that are very much like us
lazy, do not want to wake up, light spreads in bed, and fresh air
fills the air and sings in our ears
yet
we cover our eyes, we refuse, we
curl our legs, and bury our eyes on the pillow

these mornings are nameless and they are many
some of these mornings are fruits of those sleeping pills
because some nights are cruel insomniacs that hide from us
the gifts of sleep,

i like to hate mornings like these
and i may hate it till evening

but i have already made a promise to understand all these
stupid mornings and
just be patient and let go off them

i write once, that i may hate everything including these lazy mornings that shy away from light and air

but i must spare this self that
after all i do not really exclusively own.

and so this is it:
i hate this lazy, stupid morning, but i shall never
hate myself:
i am sleepy, i am beautiful, i am lovely and witty after all.

you may sing tonight with me:
this love of self, this greatest love of all.
Do not misinterpret it for arrogance, pride or conceit,
albeit, i must tell you,
this is just a good gadget for moving on
into a sweet and kind survival.

Rain,rain

Why am I here if youre there
So far away its not fair
To be without you like this
I miss you more than you know
The nights are long
The days slow
Without the warmth of your kiss
Wish you were back here with me
Cause out my window
All is see is
Rain , rain in the sky
Everywhere I look my eyes see
Rain , rain fallin down
Crying as it hits the ground
Rain , rain in my heart
Every day that were apart
Rain , rain
Falling rain , rain
Rain , rain
Only rain , rain
The sun is strong when youre near
But when youre gone it disappears
Behind an ocean of blue
The telephones not good enough
It cant reach out it cant touch
Me like the way you do
Wish you would knock at my door
Cause only you can stop the pouring
Rain , rain in the sky
Everywhere I look my eyes see
Rain , rain fallin down
Crying as it hits the ground
Rain , rain in my heart
Every day that were apart
Rain , rain
Falling rain , rain
Rain , rain
Only rain , rain
Maybe ill go outside
And walk beneath the clouds
Pretend its you thats watching over me
This isnt the only thing that comes
Between us now
Baby soon well be together
Oooo
( everywhere I look I see rain )
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Everywhere I look I see rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( everywhere I look I see rain )
Rain
( rain , rain in the sky )
( everywhere I look my eyes see rain )
Rain
( rain falling down )
Down
( crying as it hits the ground )
Dont , dont let it hit the ground
( rain , rain in my heart everyday that were apart )
( rain , rain )
Rain
( falling rain, rain )
Rain
( rain, rain )
Everywhere I look I see rain
Everywhere I look I see rain
But I dont see you
Youre not near me
I need you ooo
Rain
Itll never be the same
If you dont stop the rain

There And Back Again For Jt Ellison

The river flows unhurriedly
on its long journey to the sea
Sometimes flows fast and sometimes slow.
It does not matter really though
.
All rivers will eventually
become part of the great salt sea.
From whence they came as clouds and rain
to which they must return again

The sea and Sun co operate.
Evaporate, precipitate
Recycling water constantly.
All rivers flow into the sea.

Where they evaporate and rise
as water vapour to the skies.
The chill will change its state again
from water vapour into rain.

Which falls upon the earth below
to nourish all the plants that grow
Without the rain then there would be
no rivers flowing to the sea.

The world be a desert place
of growing plants no single trace.
A world of grey and brown and dun
Defeated by the burning sun.

Although the rain can be a curse
no rain at all would be much worse.
Accepting philosophically
the rain must fall and frequently.

Though sometimes inconveniently
Without the rain where would be
Extinct I think without a doubt
I much prefer the rain to drought.

Though it may rain on your parade
and spoil the plans which you have made.
You should be thankful for the rain,
you have small reason to complain.

Nature recycles constantly.
water the prime necessity.
If she did not then we would die
Beneath a blue and cloudless sky.

Her Beautiful Eye

In thine eye, my island, my love's recluse
Where my heart stops to enjoy thy light
And eat thy beauties cloying fruits
And rest in the iris of tender night

Only seen by thy gratifying sight
In mourning I bath with thine tears
Drenched in sorrow I take flight
And search for thy internal peers

An orchid of orange, in my sight appears
Small sinuous lines do I trace
In the soil of thine iridescent honey
Illustrious in light's blessing grace.

Thy soil changes like the mood of thine face
From a honey brown to murky gray
When clouds form and it's not to sunny
For your eyes to beam in bright day.

For loves salvation, to the sun I pray.
To dry thine tears so thy honey may grow
And forever on thine eye my love can play
In its glisten and in its glow.

An Elocution....

we read
between the lines
we pause
we take in a lot of the other
we read them and they become a part of
our innards
we pause and we take sleep
a journey
into an imbibing
the roads are too many
but we choose only one
not necessarily the happy one
we take what
is only necessary
we take the stairs one by one
we count each
sorrow we leave each happy moment
like a landmark
we always surge
like a bus into the other end of the road
that never ends
we read between the lines
we become what is
between them
we do not understand how we become
we just become
buds, flowers, bees and
pools of
clear water
we are flowing and drained
we exude and then
we go
until we are finally gone
and we have forgotten
to ask who we are
and so
what right have we to
deserve the
answers
we go, and then we are finally gone
we are never
anyone.

Just When The Rain Stops

just when the rain stops
something within you stops too
the misery of being
confined in the small prison of
your thoughts

you find a window
and this wide door and you grope
for the key
to open something closed
days ago

you breathe the sea breeze
and take some salt of
life and you
release your sighs like
an earned ire

you take freedom finally
letting go your fingers and hands
your feet dance

go, go, go
your books on the table make the
cheering squad

out there
nature wants to be read
the books close finally
their pages like tongues
hide behind the thick glossy
hardbound cover

you are not a fool finally
touching the maps drawn
by the falling rain

welcome to the world
the trees tell you.

Everyday Is One Day More

yes one day more
another day another pain
another sorrow another rain

it is this waiting of the big day
that keeps us waiting
for the big day

what is it really that we are waiting for?
what is that big day?
i do not mean death. It is night.
i speak about the big day
when light comes to
defeat darkness
i speak of joy and bliss and happiness
when they come
and make a feast
because i we have become
triumphant
because we have conquered this darkness
because we have finally understood
the reason of sorrow
the purpose of pain
the justifications that like naked truths are still
dressed with the confusions of our mind

the big day comes sooner
and then we shall all be free!

When We Dance

When we dance
I take your hand
and dizzy you round-
your eyes flash by-
each twirl a twinkle light,
now here
then round
and twinkle again.

When we dance
my hand settles round
the neck's nape
and gentle falls
to your shoulder blades
meandering then
to the magic
spot
in the small of your back,
where time stops
from that simple touch
and your twirl
ends
when your bosom breasts
make their touch;
my chest
heaves
like an ocean wave
which first retreats
then comes crashing back
upon your soft shore.

You breathe
lifting me it seems
with the shear
heat
your breathing brings.

When we dance
there is
too, too
much
to miss;
we do
it over
and over
again.
My leg
entwines
yours
for luck.

Stronger Through The Years

(ferry)
Through the undercover hour
Bad and bleak
To be brief - too much sorrow
And flesh is weak
No more feelings
No more tears
The rivers wide enough
Flowing stronger through the years
Silver lips - kisses borrowed
Glances steal
To quick - how they quiver
Too late theyre sealed
No more feelings
No more tears
The rivers wide enough
Flowing stronger through the years

I Cant Stop The Rain

This is new york, yo
(its getting dark)
Night falls on the city
Finds me all alone
Makes me wonder
Should I just go on home
And I walk up the stairs
To see if youre sill there
Would you mind if
I found you alone
Then a cold wind came callin
Strange how it knew itd bother me
See the night would fade
But the pains gonna stay
Makes me wonder
Have you ever made love to me
I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
Lightnin strikes across the sky
Oh, I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
Lightnin only blinds my eyes
Aint it sad
When the only love I ever had
Just slips away
Right through my fingers
Aint it a shame when I think of your name
The only memory I have is it
I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
Lightnin strikes across the sky
Oh, I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
It takes a witch to curse that goddamn sky
I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
Lightnin strikes across the sky
Oh, I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
cause lightnin only blinds my eyes
Oh, I cant stop the rain, here it comes again
cause lightnin only blinds my eyes
Cant stop it, blinds my eyes

The Power Of Imagination Is Here...

when the rain hits the
water of the canals

spider webs are formed

to make the spiders
crawl and make you feel

the soundless hairs of their
feet

somehow you must seek the
aid

of an original thought
the magic of imagination

to see the needles of the pines
on the rain

you must learn to plant those trees
on the linings of your iris
